I just found some pictures I thought I lost (hard drive failure mid 2021). So god damn happy now 😄
While i'm on the subject / for those who need to hear this rn:
Make backups. Yes, especially you.
Even a year and a half later, i want to time travel back and hit myself in the face for being such an idiot and procrastinating
#it's probably best to spread your chances and have at least two backups#like one with a cloud service and a second physical copy like an external harddisk#cloud services by themselves can't be trusted because you might violate a term without knowing it and they will literally#throw all your memories in the trash and often you can't even appeal#for local backup 'cobian reflector' on windows is a great choice#it lets you run automated backups and has very flexible and solid options#I opted for a network storage drive and a redundancy raid configuration after these shenanigans#you never think it's gonna happen to you#and especially not to that one drive that has everything#but then it does and ;adslkfjasladkj#lost like 6 years of my life in pictures theres maybe a percent left of what was there#personal#txt
