Okay this is something that has taken me years to come to terms with and I just need to get off my chest especially since im not in therapy anymore and honestly only a few close friends know this but talking about it is still hard and I want to be able to better forgive myself and get rid of some of the internalized shame that plagues me because of this, and like, just be more comfortable admitting this fact to myself so I can better heal from it. Reasons I will not Accept Umbrella Academy Season 4 as Canon (major spoilers)

I wanna preface this with: This is just my personal opinion, I am not telling anyone how they should or shouldn't feel. If you liked season 4, that is wonderful for you, I wish I could say the same

These two. I do not like their little romantic side plot at all for a multitude of reasons

I know Five's consciousness is like 68, I know he's technically an old man, but his body is around 19 years old, and Lila knew him while his body was still 13 so it just feels weird

I cannot imagine being in my 30s, married with children and being in love with someone who looks like they're 19, and yes, I know 7 years alone will do numbers on someone's mind, but still

throughout their whole little love montage, I was just begging, "Please let this just be a wholesome friend thing, please let this just be a cute, close sibling like dynamic- FUCK ME, THEYRE KISSING!?"

Also Five wasn't even good to her, he lied about the book at first and just made the decision for her that she'd stay with him in that timeline forever. And yes I know he eventually told her, but even after that he kept trying to convince her to just abandon her husband, children, and family because "You're happy here." Diego and Lila have their own issues, sure, but he's still the much better option and wouldn't have tried to trap her like that.

Season 4 Five just feels.. off, he feels wrong. Bring back his little shorts and old man vests when he was in 'retirement.' Bring back the Five that went on a road trip with Klaus because he wanted to see things like the world's biggest ball of yarn or whatever it was, I don't like this Five who tries to trap a married mother in an alternate dimension with him

Up to and including him knowing how to go about getting a boyfriend if he really wanted to. But back to GAYNESS... I think it'd be complicated for him. Because Ganondorf is a very superior man who thinks little of everyone else, especially if they're not gerudo. So if one approached the topic of his orientation-- assuming his response wasn't just "who cares? not me"-- he might not be able to give you a straight (lol) answer on the sole basis that there aren't any other males of his own kind to measure his reactions with, and that he looks down too much on other peoples for him to think they truly count.

But on the FLIP side of that!! Other men could be, for lack of a better word, a "safe space" to play with his own sexuality, since them being of so little matter makes them more approachable in that sense. Goodness knows he's up to his eyeballs in women at home, but men? They're novel, they're disgusting but mandatory to his people (though they insist he's the one good one! they swear!!), and like it or not, the common voe outside Gerudo Valley are lumped into the same category that he is by most. They're so like him, but so not. They don't have the same expectations he has on his shoulders. Perhaps a part of him might envy their freedom and camaraderie... and enjoy intimidating them as a result, and thinking something like "Wow, you're nearly the kind of gender I am... heheh..." while watching them squirm in his presence. What passes for a man in Hyrule is different from what he's been raised to be...

So yeah in my opinion he's DEFINITELY got some gay potential boiling under the lid. He's not gonna think about it or act on it in a sane or healthy way though.

They're warm, he thought. He grips your waist and settles you laying on him. You laid your head on his chest, fiddling with the ring on his necklace, matching the one on your own.

Your heart warms once more at the sight of it, the symbol of your love. The symbol of his promise. A promise of your future together. He bought matching rings for your birthday a year before.

"Rings.... in a necklace?" You blinked. "Not that I'm complaining, but, why put them in a form of necklaces this time? Is it special because it's my birthday?"

Your boyfriend has given you 8 matching rings, him having the pair of the ones you have, during the years you've been together. All of them have different designs, but none of them were put as necklaces or bracelets.

He makes you hold your hair on one side and put the necklace with the Initial of 'S' on your neck. "That's one of the two reasons." He says.

"The next one would be when I finally ask you to marry me, and the other would be in the church, infront of our friends and families." He says and kisses you.

You smile into the kiss. "I'll be looking forward to that."

Sae stares at your sleeping face, caressing your cheek with his free hand, the other one supporting your back.

You had fallen asleep in deep though, and Sae decided to stay a bit more outside and feel the scenery.

Sae feels comfortable with you, but he feels at peace when he's alone with you. He just got back from Spain and filed for a vacation with you, bringing you for a camping in a mountain where he learned the stars and sky would be seen clearly, just how you like it.

To Sae, you are peace itself. With you, he doesn't hear constant loudness that makes him irritated. With you, he doesn't have to talk to someone he doesn't like. With you, he doesn't have to pretend. With you, he can rest. With you, it's home.

Just having you in his arms is relaxing and calming. The pent up stress in his nerves are releasing as he breathes in the sight of you and your touch.

He carries you carefully back into the tent when he decides to sleep and kisses your forehead for goodnight. Most people say Sae is a hard man to please, that he probably isn't happy when it's not football, but then why is he so pleased beside you right now?

Moments like this make Sae fall even more.

Man I love sibling dynamics so much though.

Fully just projecting what I like to read, but it would be incredible if, inspired by the Touden, Toshiro arrived at his house with a newfound determination to improve his relationship with his siblings.

Which has, of course, mixed results.

(ended up blabbing about what I think their relationship is like and what it would be like if Toshiro came back with the crazy idea in his head of, hey, let's be actual brothers)

Basically I think Toshiyuki doesn't get it and fights it every step of the way. Can see him having some weird unsolved frustrations towards Toshiro? There's the one (1) silly comic we have on him, "how come my big brother gets a team of all sexy women he doesn't even enjoy it" (paraphrasing hard), which to me reads like... Okay so he can read Toshiro kind of well? But he doesn't understand him in the slightest.

Which is INCREDIBLE.

I think Toshiyuki is in a very particular position in his family. There's a 13 year age gap if I'm not wrong, kind of big, isn't it? I've seen it theorised that maybe the Nakamoto parents kept having babies die after birth, an idea supported by the fact that Toshiro was canonically a sickly child.

When I learned about his brothers and their ages though, and how dismissive Toshiro's dad is of them, how he calls all of them dull... How at age 26 Toshiro is still unmarried and isn't being pressured to marry (To be fair this could be a rare sympathetic decision from Toshitsugu. Maybe he wanted to marry Maizuru but couldn't, so instead he's giving his children the liberty of marrying who they want whenever they want).

To be honest? What I thought was: ah, so Toshitsugu married his actual wife over Maizuru likely because it was a marriage of convenience. Originally he only wanted a kid out of the union so he'd take over the household eventually, but then Toshiro turned out all sickly and soft and introverted, so eventually he was like, FINE, we need a backup inheritor.

Which, man, sucks for Toshiro AND Toshiyuki. I mean, Toshiro is 26!!!! You'd think it wouldn't be a contest! But they're literally making him prove himself against his siblings who are 13 and 11??? That sends a very clear message to me, and it's not one of trust.

Anyway. I think that'd make Toshiyuki a bit... Weird about his brother. Aware that he's messing up somehow, but also he's so strong and adult, literally has 13 years of experience on him. Like he's living on his shadow, but also is expected to step out of it.

Middle sibling complex? No way, something worse. Back up eldest sibling. Made especially evident by the fact that when Ryoko Kui introduces the relationship of the Nakamoto siblings she says there's "a weird distance between Toshiro and them".

I can see Toshiyuki having more experience being an older brother to Toshizane than Toshiro. Better? Not sure...? But, he probably was there for him more. Probably even trained with him

Which is FUNNY because I get THE SOFTEST OF VIBES FROM TOSHIZANE. I don't wanna say "Toshiro 2.0" but??

Look at his little face. Compare it to Toshiyuki, then to baby Toshiro.

Filial resentment my beloved. This would be one of the first actions that Toshiro takes without being ordered or promoted by someone else, which would both be meaningful and BIZARRE to Toshiyuki.

Anyways, with that in mind, I think Toshiro would have an easier time bonding with Toshizane. Again, wistful thinking, but if he really has that same softness that Toshiro had... And if he's around someone like Toshiyuki, who probably can't relate and is probably being too Toshizane like how Hien was to Toshiro:

You know, "toughen up", well meaning advice, they ARE in the family's shady, shady business. But, it likely did cause a wedge between Toshiro and Hien eventually, him not knowing how to deal with her bluntness so instead he distances himself.

That, plus the fact that one of the main things that attracted him to Falin was realising that she was an adult that had managed to hold onto her childhood softness and oddity...

Yeah, I think that if he noticed history potentially repeating itself in Toshizane he'd think about intervening. And since this imagine is about Toshiro going back home, committing to being more proactive, then in this story he does reach out, tries to be the adult he would've liked to have in his life for his baby brother

Harvey is CRIMINALLY underrated and underused as both antagonist and familial character for Bruce.

I'd go as far as to say he plays a greater and more crucial role in DC than Joker, because he's actually meant to represent both sides of justice, and how incredibly well that compliments Bruce

I think it is a very close minded view to have if you think that all men suck in bed and shouldn't be guided if they need it, regardless of age, you dont know their past, not everyone is a sex god and will rock your world every single time 🤷‍♀️

I had always loved weddings. The lights. The dance. The music. The dresses. The love. The food. Ah yes, the food.

But it also reminds me of her.

I have no recollection of who this girl is anymore. I don't even remember her first name. I only remember what she looked like. A tall frame with short hair. A three piece suit. A charming smile. Ugh, I could die for a smile like that.

Sorry, yeah. I'll come to the point.

I met this girl at a wedding when I was 14 years old. Someone at my building was getting married and I had to go along. Two days of dance, music, amazing clothes and incredible food had almost made me decide that I wanted to get married. Not to a boy, ofcourse.

It was an evening. The sun was setting in the back. The second day of the wedding was coming to an end. But like most young people, we were unbothered. The kids of the wedding were running helter skelter. Some of them were trying to stack the chairs and sit on them like a king. One was sleeping on a bed of chairs in the corner with probably their father's blazer placed on them like a blanket. The girl and I had been sitting near the DJ, in the garden while the wedding came to a close.

I had befriended this girl who might have been a year or two older than me. For two days, she had been my companion I had shared my every living moment with. We were always together. Walking in the nearby garden of flowers and numerous weeds, drinking coffee near the coffee stall, sitting in the wedding hall laughing at our relatives. All of it.

I guess I had been looking a little sad that time. I had my face in my hands and was distraught by my own thoughts. "What's the matter?" She asked. "Look." I pointed. The married couple were dancing together and everyone cheered behind them. The DJ knew the occasion well; he was playing Raabta from the movie Agent Vinod.

"I wish I could do that with someone." I sighed. "I wanna do a couple dance too with someone. When is it going to be my time?"

"Do you wanna dance with me?" She asked. "I may not be a boy, but I can be better than any boy out there." She held my hand and took me to the garden. "First, we must learn the etiquette of dancing a waltz. The male counterpart bows while the female one curtseys." She bowed low.

"May I have the pleasure of this dance?" She asked, putting her hand forward. "Now you're supposed to do the whole, you know, " She gestured a curtsey. "Oh, okay, okay, yeah." I curtseyed. "I would love to."

"Okay. Now what we do is that you place your hand on my shoulder. Come on." I followed her instruction, the soft satin on her suit grazing my hand. "And I'll place mine on your waist. Hold my hand." She put her other hand forward and I held it. I don't think I had ever held her hand before that. It was warm.

Something was happening in my chest.

"Now that we have the posture right, we should know how to move. When I take a step forward, you should take two small steps back on your toes." She took a step forward and I followed her steps. "Hey, that's pretty good! For a first timer you actually know what you're doing." She laughed. I just looked at her.

Before that moment, I did not see anything so remarkable in this girl. But now that I saw her up close, she was the most beautiful girl I had every laid my eyes on. I may not remember anything else from the wedding, but I remember her face clearly : a long face with small eyes, jet black hair straightened. A mole near her lips. Diamond earrings on both ears.

"Wow, your eye contact is......intimidating." She told me. "Huh? Sorry." I shook my head. "Why stare at me like that, huh? You in love with me or something?" She laughed. Man, why did her laugh sound more in rhythm than Arijit Singh's singing? Don't get me wrong, I love him, okay?

For a moment, I forgot where I was.

We danced and we danced and we danced. I did not care about that my ghagra had a little thread popping out of the hem and everyone would notice it and laugh at it. I did not care that my mom had got the bun slightly lopsided even if she had put in a million hairpins in my hair.

Maybe, just maybe. I was in love with her.

We had gotten closer. I could smell her perfume on her. Lavender. I smiled.

Just when I realised what was happening, the music stopped. My reverie broke. Everyone had to leave for dinner.

"It was a pleasure dancing with you, my lady." She bowed. I curtseyed. "Let's go have some dinner. I'm tired with all that dancing." She giggled. "Come on." She tugged at my dupatta. "Yeah, I'll be there, go on." I sighed. She looked at me for a good two seconds, smiled, and left.

I stood there, transfixed. I had no idea what has just conspired and I did not think I would understand it in even in the coming days, months, weeks, or even years. I held my face in my hands. It was warm, like the girl's hand. Her hands had held mine. And I had put it to my cheeks.

I shook my head and left for dinner.

Ever since, I have no idea who or where Waltz Girl is. I now look outside my window, where the sun was setting like it did all those years ago.

Oh,,,,,, truly he has Run Out of patience at that point I fear,,,,,,, but he’s very good at going through the motions 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ comes off as a real gentleman, if a bit eager to Get Married.

I kinda shut down for a few months after my second husband’s death—it’s just so sudden and so soon after the wedding it shocks me greatly—and he doesn’t wanna scare me off so he waits twiddling his thumbs until I finally attend a dance, and he pounces then without a Teaspoon of shame LOL makes his interest very apparent by asking me for a dance and blatantly keeping by me the whole night………

The gifts start appearing at my door after that, mostly flowers and little impersonal things like perfume or sweets. As it continues he makes them more directed towards me, lots of writing supplies and books, and often he’ll have annotated the books. He refrains from sending letters which is a bit odd but he doesn’t trust himself enough to initiate that kinda communication 🫣

He also starts popping up Everywhere. Hes not big on participating in court culture but for the months he’s courting me he shows up at p much every event I do, and I kinda gaslight myself into thinking it’s just coincidence LMFAOOOOO he’s always a bit rigid himself except when it’s a hunt, where he is quite Visibly more in his own element. I find it kinda adorable.

But he’s actually very charming I feel!!! Again he plays the gentleman part very well, he’s already quite observant and pretty attuned to what makes me comfortable so within a few meetings I’m very at ease around him. He is Very careful not to seem too eager or like he knows too much even tho he like. Has known everything about me for years oops but it works out well. Hes actually a bit touchy too—hands lingering even when we’ve stopped dancing and on more than one occasion feeding me things. If the dragon arms instead of gloves concept is real this is Even More insane bc I think he’s only touching me w gloves on and later learn oh he was just. rawdogging that shit the whole time right out in public Jesus Fucking Christ

(If we assume he’s from Natlan, I think he actually just doesn’t rlly vibe w court culture that much, it’s all very stifling and prevents one from expressing themselves well. In my head we have a little discussion where he “jokingly” implies he has to resist the urge to just take me and stop bothering w any pretense, which I much later on realize Was Not At All A Joke)

And he def makes visits to my house 🥺 those r his favorite parts icl. Hates having to put on a show in public but loves being able to just sit across from me and get me talking……… at this point he’s giving me those books in person and tbh I think sometimes he insists I read them there as he sits and stares at me silently 😵‍💫 freak behavior truly.

My family does approve of him but we all also know it wouldn’t matter if they didn’t…….. he’s the first harbinger there’s not much to be done if he wants to marry someone. We r all just happy he’s going through the proper motions and seems to be focusing on earning me the right way (not that his reputation would imply otherwise but it’s just smthn that Lingers in all our minds). I think he’s probably proposing within a month or two, and then the wedding ends up Additionally expedited, so it’s all quite fast pfft. And then it’s….. the two or three years of us being married but still kinda avoiding each other rip LMFAOOOOOOO anyway ty for asking!!!
