Adam doesn't even quite know what he's doing here. Perhaps a morbid curiosity has driven him to join the other in this den of cupcakes and rainbows; a photographer's inclination to wonder what things look like and whether they're worth immortalizing in a single snap. That's the only reason he's here, he's telling himself.

As for the other, he's telling him nothing. Doesn't matter what he thinks of Adam, really, considering the photographer himself finds him a prissy little shit - possibly one with a sad, miserable parenthood which has allowed him to be such, but still a prissy little shit. He can feel everyone's eyes on them. It's annoying. It's frustrating. It compels a certain sympathy out of him for how much the other must have to deal with it. His theory that he's some child actor finds to itself new grounds for truth every day - but Adam's never seen him in anything. Which, for one so well-versed in television and media, doesn't add up.

"A beautiful smile, I get. But a heart?" He asks, brow quirked. "Whose heart're ya ripping out, kid?" It's rhetorical and with a little scoff, but he doesn't know whether sarcasm will be the other's forte.

A dismissive hand flicks up. "I don't really care if I get blacklisted." And why should he? "This isn't exactly my scene. Almost surprised it's yours with the whole emo shtick going on but..." A little head tilt. " Guess you're just like any other kid, huh?" And creepy old men, apparently. He expected plenty to be here and all but now that it's actually come true... Well, it's a little eerie. He's almost prepared to dial the police should one of the workers be harassed. But, that all might be a result of his hyper-focus on the risks and negatives of whatever place he's been lodged into - an innate desire for safety which then translates into complete and total mistrust and skepticism. Not that it shows on his face, though, beyond the regular furrow and slightest little scrunch about his nose.

' that's not exactly going to scare them any less , you know --- ? ' but it helped to have an attractive face and a native at your side when going to these sorts of places . adam wasn't exactly what he'd call a 'friend' , barely even an 'acquaintance , ' but he's still generous enough to lend a little association and to diffuse things when necessary ... even if it's with his usual insufferable , unflappable arrogance .

' what would you do without me ? you know you can be blacklisted from these sorts of places if you misbehave too much ? ' as he drawls this the girls nervously crowd about and whisper to themselves in the corners of the cafe , eyeing the great phantom thief and his company like a piece of savory meat being prowled about and guarded by a leery-eyed wolf . ' --- well , forget it . i'm just going to get a drink . it comes with a heart and a beautiful smile . ♥ '
