this is my sign that i need to get off twitter because if i see one more person make a “never bet against big jim” comment about cameron and his smurf movies im going to fucking rip my hair out

#its hard to pretend i don't care when this makes me so mad but #reading a review of the new one makes me like...what???#if you keep having to say 'it will never fully escape the colonialist underpinnings but its GREAT' you might be missing the point #like lbr the criticism that avatar is just bad dances with wolves fanfic is valid!#and also saying 'idk if this will hold up at home but its great in theaters' is nice i guess but also #tbh what makes a movie good in my opinion is rewatch value #like will i get more out of it if i watch it at home for the millionth time?#thats how you achieve actual relevance #thats why titanic fucks and avatar doesn't
