i seriously wanna get into a3 so badly and i wanna be Serious about it but the thing about me is that i just lose almost all motivation to get into something if i cannot put things on a timeline. there be some exceptions (gekkan shoujo nozaki kun being a great example) i just REALLY like to know WHEN things happen. it's a thing that also made pjsk and bandori and enstars all hard for me to enjoy (even though i do love them so much they're just. so frustrating)
how do you push through it and keep going when the timeline is a mess, like how?
i just go by like,, play rotations. like thats my timeline. any backstages, mini talks, or any non-play event exists in its own separate universe. i know that TECHNICALLY that's not how it goes cuz if it were 1 rotation = 1 year none of them would still be in high school, but its so much easier for me to be like "this is sakuya, he's been 21 for the past four years and been in 12 plays held in the mankai theater" than try to figure when the year change ACTUALLY happens. anytime school is mentioned im like "that's my hardworking college boy" ( most of them have gone/do go to college after graduation ) no matter where in the timeline we're actually at. technically this IS right but i thought each rotation was a year, which it isn't. so i just imagine they're all eternally whatever the oldest they are in canon and roll with it ( best part of being a fuyu oshi is that all of them are past college age and two of them don't even HAVE canon ages so i can REALLY imagine em wherever on timeline i want and it wouldn't make a difference )
#tldr if you look at the yaycupcake play list thats my story tl#which i THOUGHT was how it actually went but its not#i think it was like. the fourth or fifth rotation where theyre like 'wow cant believe its been a whole year' and i was like WHAT.#anyways yeah the main plays dont make much mention of the passage of time so its not like. a HUGE problem.#it just gets confusing when youre trying to remember how old everyone is in any given story#like juza can DRINK now. i keep forgetting that. WHAT DO YOU MEAN he can drink.#cater caters

actually you know what. posting here. not everything is a direct copy-paste i added bits here and there
(i think about this bit of act 5 constantly. like. chikage “trained liar” utsuki IMMEDIATELY seen through by this 18-year-old who up until this point came across to him as inherently trusting and ready to buy into whatever Chikage told him. like!!!!)
Sakuya's whole like "innocent naive cinnamon roll" persona is a defense mechanism to an extent, right. like if he acts like A Good Boy and doesn't rock the boat then maybe people will keep him around. and like, don't get me wrong, he's a VERY good person, it's not like he's entirely covering up the person he is. (and honestly that's true of EVERY a3 character who "masks" like sakuya. kazunari, itaru, citron, chikage, i'm probably forgetting someone,)
it's just, like, that fear of showing anything that would be regarded as less-than-pleasant in case someone uses it as an excuse to toss him aside like so many of the adults in his life did.
thats why stuff like the act 5 bits i screenshotted + him getting really protective/possessive about Romeo is IMPORTANT, like they're the few moments he totally lets down the mask and hints at this incredibly complex and wonderful character that NO ONE EVER FUCKING TALKS ABOUT!!!
like, okay here is where my thoughts on twitter ended but i’m gonna keep going. every fandom has their bouts of like, stopping their analysis of certain characters at the surface level. it’s not a phenomenon unique to any specific piece of media. but MAN, when it comes to SAKUYA, most people - not just some, imo, MOST - just kinda STOP. like!!!!! here is this wholeass traumatized young man. he has so few memories of his parents but they so clearly loved him, and now he’s getting passed around between the rest of his family members because they don’t want him around.
he didn’t even get presents from SANTA after his parents died until he got to mankai!!!!! (go read the first christmas event please i think about it at least once a week) and even then he felt GUILTY for not wanting to talk about it with anyone!!! like. this is a guy who trauma dumped to a PENGUIN instead of, like, talking to his troupemates or his friends. (also go read aquarium showtime) AND MOST PEOPLE STILL ACT LIKE HE’S JUST A NAIVE BABY CINNAMON ROLL. like i guess that means he’s doing a good job of acting like an inoffensive Good Boy but like come on.
(there’s also something to be said about the way some folks still treat him like a kid but treat Banri and Juza like adults, which i guess liber kinda leans into in some regards but it’s still REALLY weird imo, like, at this point we’ve known the three of them as adults for longer than we knew them as teenagers. something something “cheeriness is seen as an inherently childlike trait” idk. like. Sakuya can legally drink now they mentioned it in his last set of birthday lines. come on.)
went off about sakuya on twitter earlier and like, half tempted to copy-paste that here,
#a3!#sakusaku deserves his own tag#i could probably write up a whole post about the way the fandom interacts with characters whose shtick is Putting On A Mask but. not today.#SORRY I'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THIS A LOT LATELY.#like i'm not gonna say that sakuya's the only victim of surface-level reads in a3 fandom (citron. tasuku.) but.#idk he's just my topic for the day.#okay hi ppl are reblogging this so i am legally obligated to note that basically all of this comes from listening to juju#(@sakusmisu on twitter/ao3)#(and jujubean-translates on here!)

Ah I loved the overheard confession one! Will it be possible to make part 2 with them confessing? I mean if any of them would confess ofc. Thanks!
uwaa I’m really happy you enjoyed the first one, hope you also like this one <33
wait I edited the tsumugi one cause an anon let me know that I accidentally called him tsuzuru
Hyodo Juza
Juza’s mouth ran dry, his grip tightened on the script he wrote for confessing to you-well, he did have some help from Muku and Kumon- but still, despite already knowing his lines, he couldn’t help to get nervous. He’s going to confess to his crush. Yes, he heard them admit their feelings for him weeks before but it doesn’t really reassure him. Not when so much negative thoughts keep on running through his mind
Finally he caught glimpse of your figure walking towards his figure and immediately he fixed his posture
“Ju-Juza?” You asked out of surprise, not expecting Juza to be the one waiting for you in the park. You were beyond happy but still, Juza was the last person you could think of that would call you out suddenly
“So...um....why did you call me out?” You internally cringed at your awkwardness, it wasn’t everyday that you acted like this but you were in front of your crush, even if you wanted to show him your cool side, it’s pretty impossible
“Oh...uh...” Juza fumbled with his words as he tried to remember what he had memorized the previous days, “I called ya out here cause...cause’ I wanna tell ya that...”
You listened to him patiently, but at the back of your mind you were gigging at how adorable Juza looked with red cheeks while he fumbled with his words. It really contrasts his image as that delinquent image everybody believes him to be
“I...I’ve liked ya for a long time already.” He suddenly bowed at you, “Please accept my feelings!” You flinched at the sudden rise of volume of his voice
Upon seeing you flinch Juza’s eyes casted downwards, he was worried he scared you, scared you enough to make you lose feelings for him
“Please stand up properly Juza,” You told him and took a deep breath, “Wow I actually feel the pressure.” You laughed and finally smiled at Juza, “To be honest I was planning on confessing to you but I guess you beat me to it.” You beamed at Juza’s surprise face
“Then would’ya go to this uh...” He trailed off and handed you a flyer, “New cafe downtown with me... heard they have good sweets there.”
Your eyes traveled from the paper and back up at Juza who was still red, “Yeah let’s go!” You agreed enthusiastically, “We’ll call it a date.” You grinned up at him and Juza found himself returning the gesture
Minagi Tsuzuru
Tsuzuru took a deep breath as he watched you finally read the letter he left in your locker. He asked Omi and Juza to go back home without him so he could finally talk to you about his feelings which he hoped you still returned even though he took such a long time in coming up with a way to confess to you
He liked to believe he was ready, he got the letter down, he knew what he had to say and already replayed it in his mind for so many times already yet there was something that continues to mess up with him
His nerves
He’s been an actor for a year so one would have expected him to gain confidence about dealing with this kind of things. But no, the nerves did not leave and it was almost worse than his first time up on the stage
“Um...Tsuzuru?” You tapped his back making him take a double take from where you were previously and where you were now, which was in front of him
He wanted to slap his forehead for uncharacteristically spacing out at such an important time and missing his chance on being the one to call you out instead of it being the latter
“Um...so I read the letter!” You held up the paper with a smile, trying to ease the awkward air around the two of you
“So..how was it?” He asked, trying to sound calm
“I-nobody has ever said this things about me,” You said in awe as you remembered about the contents of the letter and how Tsuzuru seemed to make all the flaws you think you had look attractive, “And I um- I really really like you too Tsuzuru.” You finally blurted out
“It might not seem so but I’ve liked you for a long time.” You could feel your cheeks burning as you stared at Tsuzuru who had the same expression as you
Flustered beyond comprehension
“If that’s the case.” Tsuzuru cleared his throat, “Would you like to go out with me?” He finally asked the question and he hoped it came out like how he imagined it to
“It would be my pleasure.” You smiled at him
‘Finally’, Tsuzuru thought as his shoulders started to relax, “Then I’ll pick you up on Friday.”
Tsukioka Tsumugi
Tsumugi tried to focus on the books in front of him but his mind continues to wander towards your phone call earlier. Despite the number of times he rereads the words printed on the paper, your voice admitting your feelings for him keeps on coming back inside his head
“Hey Tsumu, you okay?” You asked as you sat in front of him making Tsumugi drop his book and bring his gaze towards you
“Me? Yeah I am.” He smiled at you to show you he was alright but you just raised your eyebrows at him
“Yeah....you’re lying aren’t you?” You leaned towards him, “Don’t bother Tsumu I’ve known you for enough time to be able to tell when you’re telling the truth or not.” You moved your index finger side to side, a motion to show him you don’t approve of his lying
“Now, tell your dear friend what’s wrong~” You sang out and placed your hand on your palm which was on top of the table, “I’m not Tasuku but you can trust me.”
Tsumugi weighted out everything, he figured you most likely didn’t know that he heard about the conversation you had with your friend so you would probably feel embarrassed
But at the same time, he just can’t let the chance go. It’s not like he gets the chance to ask you out everyday so he wants to take his chance
Finally making his decision, Tsumugi took a deep breath
“Remember earlier when you were talking with your friend?”
“Oh the phone call? What about it?”
“Well I was actually there..”
You hummed to let him know you were listening
“And heard you saying you liked me.”
Suddenly there was a thud as you lost support, causing your face to fall on the table
“Crap that hurts,” You hissed and remembered Tsumugi’s presence in front of you and the problem you had
“You listened to our conversation?!”
Tsumugi laughed nervously, he was worried that you might have gotten hurt from that sudden fall but it seemed like you were alright, “I just accidentally heard it, no need to worry.”
“How can I not?” You asked indignantly, “My crush just basically told me he heard me admitting that I like him!”
Tsumugi couldn’t help but chuckle at you, he was sure you two were making too much noise inside the public library and was most likely disturbing people who was near your table
“I mean...will you want to go out with me?” Tsumugi asked, surprisingly calm
“If you want to I wouldn’t really mind,” You mumbled, already feeling like you were shrinking from embarrassment but soon you found yourself shaking from excitement
“Wait,” You breathed out as Tsumugi hummed, staring at you curiously, “I just want to confirm, we’re going out like a date? It wasn’t just my imagination, right?” You could feel your hands shaking and you hoped your voice remained normal
Tsumugi laughed softly but you noticed how his ears turned red and it made you feel relieved knowing you aren’t the only one who’s flustered, “Yeah, is there anywhere you want to go to?”
Takato Tasuku
You and Tasuku were on the way back home, but you could tell Tasuku was out of it, after he gave you the drink from the vending machine he was really quiet. There isn’t really anything different about that but Tasuku always answers you when you ask him question but now, you weren’t even sure he was hearing you
As he ran, Tasuku’s mind kept on thinking about your words, it wasn’t a confession. No, he knew that very well. But he was thinking why you couldn’t just admit your feelings for him upfront, not only that but he was wondering if he should go with asking you out or waiting for you to do it
“...U...”
“...Suku...”
“Tasuku!” Tasuku snapped back into reality once he turned around to see you a few distance away from him and breathing heavily
“I was asking you earlier if we could take a breather for a few minutes but you just jogged faster.” You said, still panting while Tasuku sighed at himself for getting lost in his thoughts and forgetting about you
“Sorry, I got lost in thought,” He apologized as he walked towards you
“No problem but really, what were you thinking that you seem like you were lost in your own world.” You frowned at the sight of Tasuku uncharacteristically blushing
Finally Tasuku heaved a deep sigh, “I heard about earlier,”
“What about earlier?”
“Do I have to really say it?”
“Well I wouldn’t know about it if you didn’t.”
“I heard you say ‘the things you do for the person you like’ o-or something along those lines,” Once again it was uncharacteristic for Tasuku to suddenly stammer between his sentence and it’s also very uncharacteristic to see him look so adorable while he tried to look like his usual composed self
You groaned, “I can’t believe it got out just like that.” You frowned, “But I do Tasuku, surprisingly enough you’re the one that I ended up having feelings for out of everyone in your troupe.”
Tasuku felt like there was something wrong with your sentence, especially the last part, it sounded like you were still wondering why out of all the people in Mankai, he was the one you liked
“You make it sound as if having feelings for me is a bad thing.”
“It isn’t,” You reassured him, “The thing is, you don’t notice it when I’m so obvious,” You scowled at all your attempts of letting him know about your feelings, you were sure everybody in Mankai knew about it too
Tasuku didn’t have anything to say about that
“If that’s the case, then let’s go out.”
“What?!” You asked in surprise, “Tasuku this isn’t some kind of joke...well it’s not like you’re one to joke but still!”
“I meant it,” He scowled, seriously as time passes he was starting to believe about your feelings for him wasn’t true
“But if you don’t-”
“I-” He coughed and looked away, “I guess I like you too.”
You could feel the smile breaking onto your face, “Really?”
“I told you already, didn’t I?” He sighed
You chuckled, “If you’re really interested then we should go on a date, there’s a play coming up.”
Upon hearing the word play leave your mouth, Tasuku returned his attention back to you, “A play? Where?”
You chuckled, at the end of the day Tasuku’s still Tasuku, the actor junkie and the one who gets too into his roles
With that thought in mind, you told him about the details of the play that was coming up
“I’ll get tickets for both of us.” He said and returned his attention back on the pavement, “But we should continue running and go home.” He turned to you, “Ready to leave?”
You hummed, “Just make sure to look at where you’re going and not bump into things.” You teased and snickered at Tasuku’s offended face

hello! i've recently stumbled across your works and i really love your characterization and writing uwu if it's not too much, is it okay for me to request for a scenario where some actors accidentally found out that their director is actually good dancer? like maybe somebody was watching tv and 'hey doesn't that backup dancer look familiar?' ((you can decide on whoever finds out about it and you can also choose to use izumi's name or just write mc)) AAAA thank you very much! ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡
Thank you, dear! 💕 I feel so happy when I read I you guys like it. Sometimes it gets difficult to not fall into OOC!
I opted to choose Izumi, mainly because I don’t think I’ve written anything with her even though I love her so much! As for the actors, well, couldn’t decided wich one so everyone is making an appearance.
Hope you like it! 💕
The dorm discovering Izumi’s dancing skills
“Tenma, hurryyyyy”
“Yeah, yeah... Uh? Hey, who didn’t wash their dishes this morning, it stinks!” the summer leader complained outloud, leaving the kitchen with Misumi with the last chopsticks and glasses to place on the lounge.
Tsuzuru entered and looked at the sink, frowning. Indeed, it smelled awful. He walked towards the couches to get the culprit.
“Itaru-san, don’t ask me why, but I know whatever that was in that plate was yours. Please clean it right now”
“Oh shit, my shield fell”
The man in question was laying next to Kazunari and Banri, all of them most likely playing a battle game, judging by the way they were staring intensely at their phones.
“Itaru-san!”
“Yes, yes, one minute…”
“Dang, Itaroon! You can’t pull something like that to win, I don’t have any more resources!”
Omi put a hand on Tsuzuru’s shoulder when he saw the scriptwriter was about to start scolding them “It’s okay Tsuzuru, we have enough plates. Itaru-san can clean later so dinner doesn’t get cold”
At that moment Juza, Taichi, Muku and Sakuya arrived.
“Ah, Omi-san! After Tenma-kun and Misumi-san finish the table will be set” the cheerily the spring leader informed approaching them.
“At least we get things done quickly, having so many people at Mankai” Tsuzuru smiled tired but gratefully at the four of them “…although it would be quicker if others offered to help from time to time” he looked at the gaming group and a certain pair watching TV.
“Tsuzuru, this program is too important to sip!”
“You mean to skip? Also, I truly don’t think so. That’s one old program you’re watching” he looked around resting his hands on his hips. No one had moved an inch “That indirect was also to the rest of you, you know”
“Noted”
“Aha”
“So you want me to set the table instead of trying to come up for ideas with customes? Fine by me”
Misumi and Tenma entered before an argument could take place “Table’s set. Someone should call Masumi, Sakyo-san and the winter troupe. They were in the practice room with director, right?”
As if by pure summoning, the last spring member arrived, taking off his headphones “…I’m here”
“We are here too!” Tsumugi waved as the rest of the winter troupe entered talking to each other. Their play schedule had been decided and they had had a run through while Izumi and Sakyo discussed the final details for the performance.
“Okay then everyone, time to dig in!”
…………………………..
Everyone sat on their chairs and started moving plates around and refilling glasses with drinks. It wasn’t often, due to the difference in schedules, but some nights the whole dorm got together and opted to eat at the same time. It was a bit of a mess but in the end, everyone had fun.
Citron was still watching silently the TV when he paused it, concerned. Getting up, he headed to the dinner table as everyone ate and talked “Director?”
Izumi looked up, stopping herself from grabbing the delicious tonkatsu in front of her “You called, Citron? Ah, leave the TV and sit, come on. Omi’s food will get cold!” she motioned the chair that was empty.
He did as told, but kept his eyes locked on her “Director I must ask you an important question”
“Uh… ok?”
He nodded as his chopsticks grabbed some rice “Are you maybe a twist?”
Everyone turned to him, confused, but not surprised. The young woman found herself blinking in confusion too “…Twist?”
Masumi nodded in agreement “You can twist my heart anytime you want”
No one even tried to contradict the young boy, still trying to decipher Citron’s meaning.
“I don’t think Citron means twist”
“…Twix”
“Yeah Hyodo sure, Citron meant Twix. I swear your brain is a fucking sugar cube”
“You are sweet like a twix to me, director”
“Ugh, someone tell the Psycho Stalker off”
“Y-yuki-kun!”
“Citron, I don’t think your phrasing is right” Tsumugi laughed as he saw everyone starting to debate.
The foreigner crossed his arms, deep his thought “Mmm… this word is meant to be a clone… of another person! Is it close enough, Tsumugi?”
“C-clone?!” Taichi looked up from his seat, eyes wide open “Director has a clone?!”
“Guys, come on...”
“Mhm… I might be wrong, but maybe Citron meant if our dear director has a twin?”
Citron gasped “Twin, yes! Azuma’s wisdom is as always precise!”
The winter member received the compliment from the blond with a soft laugh as the rest frowned. Sakuya raised his hand from the other side of the table “U-Um! Why do you say that, Citron-san?”
“You have sisters?” Tasuku raised his eyebrows at Izumi.
“Of course not! I’m an only child”
“But that cannot be. I saw you with my two very eyes!”
“Me?”
He nodded seriously, getting up from the chair and turning on the TV again “I will demonstrate now, the director’s clone!”
Izumi sighed. Why couldn’t they have a normal night? Just for once. It was weekday for christ’s sake. The sudden gasps and exclamations brought her back to reality.
“It really looks like Izumi-san!”
“She looks younger though, is it really her?”
“Waaah, director you are moving so beautifully!”
“Wait, seriously?”
Izumi got up and approached the TV screen, concerned for the amount of attention it was getting “Come on, how can I-“
“That is you, isn’t it?” Sakyo pointed the TV with his head.
As everyone came to the realization that it was indeed Izumi. the woman in question stood there, watching her younger self.
“Oh, you meant that!” she sat on the arm of the couch, forgetting dinner and the fact that everybody was still trying to make sense of it. Their director? In TV? “It’s not been that long but... ” she laughed “Might be the one and only time I made it for a play in a performance, come to think of it!”
Kazunari, who was at that point recording the whole situation, turned his phone towards her in awe “I am beyond SHOCK, director! What play? How come we didn’t know you danced so well? Any declarations?”
She pushed the phone away from her, laughing “I did my studies and entered in the dancing club from my university for a change of peace”
“But this amazing choreography? The moves? Not to mention you are totes on TV!”
She looked back at the TV and a smiled appeared. Competing in friendly dancing competitions had been nice at the time “That program shows musicals, right? My university dancing club just happened to want to enter the competition and we decided to do a mute dancing play trying to tell a story without speaking. Forgot it had been recorded then”
Everyone stopped talking and looked at each other.
“…Oh”
“That’s right”
“Director had another life before Mankai…”
“Feels weird to think about it”
Izumi blinked confused. Of course, she had tried to make a life outside of acting! It had been rough, but she had had to come to terms with herself that she had to move on, at the time.
“Ey, ey, director let’s dance too!” Misumi grabbed her by the arm and pulled her to the courtyard. She found herself stumbling to keep up.
“W-whoah, Misumi-kun, we haven’t finished eating!”
He laughed releasing her as he tried to copy what they all had watched “That looked fun! What other dances did you do?”
Izumi laughed at his excitment.
“Well, there was nothing specific…?” she listed a few songs on the top of her head. The rest of the dorm gathered around the frames of the courtyard, watching curiously.
“I also want to see director’s dancing!”
“Anyone has a phone?”
“On it~”
“Enough! Why are you…” Sakyo came out too, ready to start scolding when one of the songs mentioned before started playing and saw Izumi’s bright face.
It was as if some kind of adrenaline had been injected into her, enough to make her body start moving along the music, not a single movement being wasted.
It had been a while.
………………………………
“Oh my, such a stunning view… the turning of grand jetes! If this moment was to be engraved…”
Hisoka frowned next to him “Arisu… you’re too loud. Can’t enjoy it”
“Director… is really good!” Sakuya was practically beaming as he watched Izumi moving around “She looks like a fairy!”
No one there disagreed. Her movements flowed, taking away the breath of every person in that familiar audience. Izumi had never been able to act well, but somehow her dancing expressed more than she could in a play.
Omi smiled at the view and crossed his arms “A pity I left the camera in my room” he looked at his left and saw how Sakyo looked at her.
The blond’s eyes followed her figure entranced, not moving an inch.
A few minutes later, Izumi stopped, breathing heavily after song. She looked up, greeted by a big amount of applause. Were those claps for her? Her cheeks grew hot. She didn’t remember last time she got an applause and smiled bashfully.
“Fufu that was wonderful, Izumi-san”
“Epic. I think I just fell in love all over again, director! Gonna need to post the clip on my instablam!”
“Not bad. I guess currian has another thing she’s good at, uh”
“Well, if we ever have a dancing play, now we know who to ask for notes, isn’t that right, Tsuzuru?”
Taichi gasped in excitement looking at the scriptwriter “Oh man, I definitely want to do a dancing play now, girls would love it!”
Of course, as theatre fanatics as they were, the conversation headed into their future performances.
“Maybe like a musical?”
“But dancing as you act is…”
“I want to do a triangle dance in our play!”
Izumi laughed, gaining everyone’s attention “Okay, okay, this is enough. Let’s go back and finish dinner. Can’t believe you all tricked me to dance in front of you, geez” she still felt her breath uneven from the workout.
“But you did look beautiful out there, director” Tsumugi smiled as he pushed a complaining Taichi and entranced Masumi inside.
Tasuku sighed as he watched everyone returning to their normal behaviors “Well, I guess we must thank you are more an acting addict than a dancer” he sent a small smile to Izumi, placing a hand on her shoulder and going inside to help the adults tame the youngest.
Izumi was about to follow when she heard Sakyo’s voice from behind “You danced well”
“Ah, Sakyo-san, thanks”
He dropped his eyes momentarily before looking at everyone going back to finish dinner inside “…Think you will miss it? Dancing like that”
Izumi lifted her head up and closed her eyes, enjoying the night’s breeze. She had set it aside for so long she hadn’t really been able to think about it.
Dancing to her was like turning back the clock, returning to a previous life that might have been good. However, she had always felt something was missing.
She smiled tenderly. Just thinking about everyone at the dorm made her heart go warm.
“It’s become a good memory to keep”
She tore her gaze away from the night sky to smile at him, assuring him that she was being honest to those words just said.
True. She had loved dancing, but theatre? Ah.
That was her life.

I enjoyed it a lot, hopefully, you guys did too. Have a wonderful day! 💕

Gaming buddy headcanons (A3!)
Hi~! These are just random drabbles off the top of my head as I just can’t seem to focus on my work today, which is why I decided to jot these HCs down before I forget or procrastinate again (〃▽〃)
Itaru Chigasaki
Whenever you and Itaru have a gaming night scheduled, he is just itching to leave work early to prep
He does a Monster energy drink / Redbull, iced coffee, potato chips and chinese take-out shopping side trip before returning to the dorm
"Let's have a successful raid today!" you both say to one another while saluting
The rest of MANKAI company know better than to pass by Room 103 on a gaming night
Sakuya accidentally forgot once and was traumatized for life when he approached Room 103 hoping to ask Itaru for help in his history homework without knowing you were in the room, too
"Ano, Itaru-san, excuse me, I need your help with someth-"
*cue you screaming in rage after dying for the nth time*
Poor Sakuya still recounts this experience with a shudder as he tells the story to Taichi
You both don't always play the rage games tho
On chill nights, both of you play Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley co-op just to chill in the virtual world
It's on these chill nights that Omi would knock on the door and give you both the dinner he set aside for you, to which you and Itaru would thank him profusely for being the mom that he is being so kind and considerate
You end up conking out in his room during gaming nights since you usually end up playing until the wee hours of the morning (much to Masumi and Sakyo’s chagrin)
He’s a perfect gentleman though, that’s why you feel completely safe around him even though you’re both single adults sleeping together (read: SLEEP as in literally sleep stop thinking the other meaning u dirty hoe)
Itaru is the first person you want to tell about the latest game in the app store or about an upcoming game to be released for the console or PC, and vice versa
Your LIME DMs with him are full of news about soon to be released games or discussions about tactics for the limited time events in the common games you play
“Taruchi, did you know that XXX company is releasing a sequel to XXX, the one that we played last week? (*≧▽≦) Kyaa! I can’t wait~”
Speaking of that nickname, YOU coined that one together during that one time he wanted to make another character from his main one in order to crush NEO (ahem, Banri, ahem)
“Seriously, Y/N, I don’t know what to name this character. Got any ideas?”
“Hmm.. Itaru Chigasaki, Itaru, Taru, Chigasaki, Taru..chi? How about Taruchi? It sounds cute!”
“Tsk, people will think it’s a girl’s account then, the way it sounds. Eh, who cares. You came up with it, take responsibility for it. I was planning to use a female avatar anyway.”
You are both admins to the wikia pages of the games you both enjoy playing
You sometimes ask his help for answers in the otome games you’re playing, to which his choices get you the wrong or Bad End (´д`)
He gets a little jealous when you go kya kya at otome game characters, actually grabbing your Switch one time and staring at the character you were squealing at
“Pffssh, he doesn’t even look that handsome. Have some standards, you otome trash lady. What’s with the fake perm and hipster clothing. You have got to be kidding me. Who’s the character designer of this?”
“Excusez-moi, but the character designer is the famous XXX, thank you very much. And don’t diss my husbando, go stick to your own overly-large boobies waifus. Shoo, shoo!”
You always thank the gaming gods for sending Itaru in your life because you could not imagine getting through life without a gaming buddy like him
Banri Settsu
Playing video games with this man can go either way
You can either really enjoy playing with him, or get really pissed off when he keeps winning easily
His skills are top-notch, which makes him an ideal raid partner on co-op games like Monster Hunter
Just don’t think you can win against him when it’s 1v1, because boy you will be crushed
Unless he lets you win, which usually happens when he sees that you look like you’re about to cry after being beaten in Super Smash Bros for the nth time
“Oi, Y/N, it’s just a stupid game. Don’t think much about it, okay? Let’s do one more round.”
He doesn’t own a console or PC, so gaming dates are usually done in arcades
He is crazily athletic too, so you can kiss your DDR (dance dance revo) winning streak bye
Don’t even think of challenging him to play Tekken, because unless he’s feeling magnanimous, you will lose
On his birthday, you and the rest of MANKAI company pooled your money to get him a Nintendo Switch (yes, even Juza lol)
For the first time in his life, he is struck speechless (༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ)
It’s not like he’s poor or something, but the gesture moved him so deeply that he was strangely docile for a few hours
“Ne, Banri, you have a Switch now. Let’s play something!”
VICTORY / YOU WIN
You take advantage of his new docile state and challenge him to a 1v1 game where you actually win lol
But he snaps out of it and starts crushing you again (that was fun while it lasted ┐(´~`)┌ )
Playing an otome game beside him will ensure that you get the Good End of your favorite husbando
“I’m not sure what to answer here. What do you think, Banri?”
“Huh? Lemme see. Hmm. The first option seems good to me.”
After shedding a tear or two for the Good End you just watched, you thank the otome gaming gods and Banri’s super easy mode for helping you complete your husbando’s route and collect all the event images
Unlike Itaru who loses all sense of time and his surroundings when in the “Zone”, Banri is still incredibly thoughtful especially when you set up gaming night sesh with him
He knows that like Itaru, you are prone to binge on junk food and forego sleep to grind for a good armor or weapon
“Y/N, it’s already past midnight. Don’t you think we should call it a night?”
He is easily riled up, especially when he senses that he’s being compared or challenged (this is the main reason why Juza pisses him off so much)
“What, are you chicken? Itaru-san doesn’t give up to the clock just to sleep instead of grind for the limited XXX armor set.”
Aaaand you both end up sleeping on the couch at 5am after a long, grueling night of dungeon diving
*cue Sakyo finding you both asleep on the couch in the morning*
Hope you enjoyed reading! Look forward to more A3! drabbles in the near future~ (^ω^)
