FLUFF ALPHABET W/ ELLIOTT — STARDEW VALLEY
SUMMARY: The Fluff Alphabet by @snk-warriors featuring Elliott!
CONTAINS: sfw, gn! reader, fluff, established relationship, spoilers for his 10 & 14 heart event
NOTES: I haven’t known what types of headcanons to post so I’m hoping this might inspire me. I’m taking requests, by the way, if you’d like to help a girl out! Enjoy!
A = Activities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
Elliott loves cooking and baking with his spouse! Even if you’re not great at it, he’s happy to teach you! As long as it’s edible, he’s happy and proud of what you made together. That phrase “a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” applies to him specifically.
B = Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
It’s so hard for him to narrow it down but if he has to, it’s your generosity and strength. He could watch you do farm work for hours (and he has) and he loves that you’re so giving and that you don’t think twice about it.
C = Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
Elliott is at your side immediately, asking how and/or what he can do to help. If you ask for a minute alone, for example, he’s preparing your favorite snack and movie or show. Or maybe a bath or shower, later reading you to sleep. He’s doing whatever he can to help you!
D = Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
He dreams of the typical white-picket fence dream: marriage, kids, growing old with you. More than that, he wants to take care of you, to protect you, to provide for you. As long as he knows he can do that for you, he can die happy.
E = Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
I can see this going both ways. I feel like if you’re a woman or feminine presenting, he’s more likely to subconsciously take on a dominating role. If you’re a man or masculine presenting, the same still applies but less so. It’s not that he has sexist views! He was raised with these values in mind and it didn’t help that a lot of the media he consumed growing up portrayed a damsel in distress. If this makes you uncomfortable, you can tell him that and he’ll be much more mindful of how he treats you. Regardless of your gender, he’ll always be protective over you and that’s something you cannot change.
F = Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
Yes, without a doubt, yes. Even if you hurt him deeply, he’s already forgiven you long before. To quote James Fraser from Outlander because I feel like Elliott would think the same: "She asked forgiveness, and I gave it. But the truth is, I'd forgiven everything she'd done and everything she could do long before that day. For me, that was no choice. That was falling in love."
G = Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
He’s eternally grateful for everything you do. For him and for the community. You save him from dying a lonely hermit on the beach! For that, he feels he owes you everything.
H = Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
He’s very open and honest! I don’t think he intentionally keeps secrets. Like with the piano, you didn’t know he could play so beautifully and he would probably not have brought it up unless you found him playing. Or if it didn’t come up in conversation, he probably won’t mention it. Except it’s something actually important, then you can trust he’ll tell you. But in that case, it probably wouldn’t be a secret.
I = Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?
You’re his muse! You inspire him every single day. You helped him to write his book. He runs a lot of things by you because he knows that you’ll give him kind constructive criticism.
J = Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
I don’t think he gets jealous easily. He gets jealous like the average person. When he does, however, he becomes passively aggressive. If he notices someone flirting with you, he’ll politely remove you from them and gently scold you. He might be a little petty so you’re probably going to have to apologize a bit more than you normally would.
K = Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
YUP. He’s a romantic and very in tune with his partner and what they like. Your first kiss with him was magical. He wasn’t clumsy or too rough. It was sweet and gentle.
L = Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
On a shabby little row boat out at sea!
M = Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
Yes! He feels it’s the natural next step to your relationship. He proposes to you on the beach while the sun sets. Your marriage would be pretty low-key but never lacking. Especially in the bedroom. You both are happy and content with your quiet lives on the farm. Whenever Elliott goes on a book tour, he brings you along, considering it a vacation.
N = Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?
Darling, love, dear, sweetheart, beautiful. He called you darling, love, and dear before but when you started dating, he added ‘my’ in front of it.
O = On Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
Elliott is pretty animated already but even more so when he’s in love. He’s much happier and carries himself more confidently (if you can believe it). I don’t think it’s obvious to anyone but his friends. Leah, for example, notices it almost immediately. He expresses his feelings through writing in his “secret book” of poems expressing his love for you or your likeness captured through a character in one of his books.
P = PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
Yes, he’s very proud to be yours! He doesn’t necessarily brag but he talks about you whenever he’s given the chance. He’s not shy about physical PDA either. Of course, nothing inappropriate but definitely touching you in some way or kissing you. He’s not in the least bit shy!
Q = Quirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.
Elliott is a very smooth talker. He almost always knows exactly what to say. And I know that would otherwise be a red flag but he does stumble over his words frequently too! He never wants to risk loosing you, especially over something that’s his fault.
R = Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
He’s extremely romantic! He’ll happily help you around the farm and later take care of you when you come home: making dinner, bathing you, massaging you. He also loves reciting poetry to you whenever you’ll listen.
S = Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
You can count on him for any sort of support you need and he’ll gladly help you work towards your goal(s). He has always believed in you.
T = Thrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice up your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
He doesn’t feel like it’s a necessity. He likes adventure on occasion but he’s also very happy and content with your daily routine.
U = Understanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?
He’s very empathetic towards you. He’s good at remembering details about you too, regardless of how insignificant it may seem. He remembers what you like and don’t like, things you’ve mentioned that you want, or little stories from your past.
V = Value - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?
He values your relationship the most out of everything he has! He’ll always put you (and your shared family) first. He loves you more than writing and reading—and that’s saying a lot.
W = Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
Elliott absolutely hates when people touch his hair. But you’re the only exception. Even though he may tense up a bit at first, he eventually melts into your touch. He trusts you with his life, and more than that, his hair.
X = XOXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?
He’s super affectionate! He loves touching you, whether that’s through hugs, hand-holding, cuddling, or kissing. He takes any chance he gets to tell/show just how much he adores you!
Y = Yearning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?
When he went away on his book tour, he took to sending you letters. He also called you at the end of every day. He prefers to call rather to text because he wants to hear your voice.
Z = Zeal - Are they willing to go to great lenghts for the relationship? If so, what kind?
Absolutely! Anything you need—or want, even. You can always count on him. He’d pet a sea cucumber if it’d make you happy.
— HAVE A REQUEST? SUMBIT IT HERE!

Emma 2020 is like what if. You were trapped in a house in a dark with a father only you can manage. What if you were constantly told about a woman with accomplishments you frankly can't achieve because in so many things valued for young women you're just mediocre, you have no special talents other than being charming and likeable and you can't even do that all the time. What if you just wanted to do something that meant something but you didn't even realize that's what you wanted.
#emma 2020#truly a fascinating adaptation#AND I FORGOT ABOUT HOW SHE CLEARLY HAS NO SKILLS#like it's SO important how I read the movie. she can play the piano but only like. fine.#she can paint but it's like. it's not great.#she's a very average girl.#again hence why Jane irks her! Jane is skilled and seems to be able to mean something in the world#to be useful! I love how the movie made this the thing that foils them specifically

15 Questions Tag Game
If I do one tag game a day, maybe I can get caught up by the end of the summer! 😅
Thanks to @enne-uni whose post is here and @tabswrites whose post is here!
Rules: answer the questions below as yourself and/or your OC.
I've already answered for myself in an earlier post, so I'm going to quiz my two MCs from Good Slaves Never Break the Rules together.
1. Are you named after anyone?
Him: Um, I'll have to get back to you on that.
Her: My paternal grandfather was named Louis and my maternal grandfather was named Daniel, so I'm Louisa Danielle.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Him: I pretty much stopped crying around four or five. As a slave, you learn early on that crying won't help and usually only makes things worse.
Her: Five minutes ago when I dropped my phone.
3. Do you have kids?
Her. No.
Him: Oh, hell, no.
Her: But you're open to it someday, right?
Him: Uh, let's talk about this later.
4. Do you use sarcasm?
They both look at each other and laugh.
5. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Him: Whether they're a slave or not — that's kind of important. After that, I pay attention to the way they speak and carry themselves, and whether I think they can be trusted — or manipulated. If it comes to that!
Her: Their eyes. And whether they seem kind.
6. What's your eye color?
Him: I believe it was once described as "somewhere between amber and gold."
Her: Gray.
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
Him: Scary movies.
Her: Happy endings.
8. Any special talents?
Him: Where do I start? Science of course, but also languages, music, mechanics, computer coding, acting, rhetorical persuasion ...
Her: Oh come on, you're making me feel bad.
Him: Now I'll do yours. Compassion, courage, problem-solving, standing up for what's right ...
Her: I feel better now.
9. Where were you born?
Him: Luxembourg City.
Her: Phoenix, Arizona.
10. What are your hobbies?
Him: Piano, chess, reading — mostly about science, but I'm discovering literature isn't as pointless as I thought it was. Not like I ever have time for proper hobbies, anyway.
Her: Reading, crossword puzzles, traveling. and back when I could afford it, fashion and shopping.
11. Do you have any pets?
Him: Never, but I've always secretly wanted a dog.
Her: We used to have an English setter named Artemis. She was actually my brother's, but I loved her.
12. What sports do you play/have played?
Him: Growing up, I played football with some of the local kids. Real football, not that weird American football.
Her: Tennis, and I have a sailing certification, though I don't really have the head for knots and rigging. Daddy's been trying to drag me out onto the golf course since I could walk, but I told him I can hold out longer than he can.
13. How tall are you?
Him: 188 centimeters. That's 6'2" for you Americans.
Her: 5'6".
Him: That's 167 centimeters.
Her: Thanks for that.
Him: No problem.
14. Favorite subject in school?
Him: For the sake of this question, let's pretend I went to school. Chemistry, physics, and maths.
Her: English, biology, and French.
15. Dream job?
Him: Rocket scientist.
Her: Brain surgeon.
Both: We're not kidding!
Gently tagging:
@coffeexafterxmidnight @silverslipstream @rubywrite
@romanceandshenanigans Not sure you do tag games, but I'd love to get to know your MCs better if so!
Also OPEN TAG because I don't know who has and hasn't done this yet, or maybe they want to do it for a character they haven't done it for yet!

Colors blooming around us (this will go down in our history)
Merry Christmas Lea!!!!
I hope you had the best day, had good food, and enjoyed your presents! Ily!!!
You posted that drawing and I immediately knew I had to write a fic about it. I hope you enjoy it!!
(drawing in the middle by @lyxchen, used with permission)
Thanks @sunsetcurbed for beta reading <3
Taglist in the reblog, I'll post this on AO3 in a couple days <3
Alex lets his sticks hit the cymbal one last time before he allows the sound to ring out. Around him his friends have lifted their hands off their instruments, are leaning away from their mics, the last notes echoing through the gigantic hall in front of them.
Alex always says that that gig at the Orpheum has been the most important gig of their career. He’s right of course, it’s what got them the attention of labels, which eventually got them signed.
But this show feels important like that. It’s in the middle of their first Europe tour. They’re playing at their biggest venue yet. They have an entire camera crew filming every angle of them, so they can cut it into a movie of their concert. And they have special bits planned for this show that they’re not doing at others. One of them is going to happen during the next song.
Alex feels like his veins are vibrating. Both from the adrenaline of the show that is going the best it can, but also from nervousness and excitement about what he is about to do. When he looks around at his friends, he sees that they’re not feeling much different. Julie is breathing heavily from having sung her heart out, Luke’s chest is already bare, feeling too hot and constricted in his shirt, and Reggie and Bobby keep shaking and brushing their hair away from their foreheads. Alex is no longer wearing his hat, too scared that it will fall off.
He locks eyes with Luke. Luke is grinning at him, raising his eyebrows in a question. Alex doesn’t hesitate before he nods. Luke’s grin widens and he winks.
Alex lets out a slow breath and chances a look at the audience. He can’t see much further than the first few rows, stage lights are burning bright in his eyes, but he clearly sees how the masses of people—they really are masses tonight—are all cheering, shouting, crying. It’s overwhelming to see so many people being here just for you. Celebrating with you.
Alex manages to catch Willie’s eyes in the crowd. He’s standing at the front, in the very center. Alex wonders if they’ve told the people around them who they are. As soon as their gazes lock, Willie cheers loudly, and Alex likes to think he can hear their voice through the shouts of everyone else. He’s so excited that Willie is here tonight, coming all the way from the US to the UK to support him. Willie has no idea what’s about to happen, but Alex knows that he’s gonna love it.
Julie turns around to look at all of them. They all nod at her to let her know they’re ready. Smiling, she turns and sits down at the piano standing a bit to the side. The crowd goes wild, even though they don’t know what song they’re gonna be playing next.
“This next song is from our first album and it’s special in many ways,” Julie speaks into her mic. “Our beautiful drummer helped write it,” she lifts a hand to show off Alex while the crowd applauds for him, “and we filmed an amazing music video for it, that to this day, is the most clicked video on our channel.” The crowd cheers once again, now that people realize what song she is mentioning. “And for a good reason,” Julie continues, setting her hands on the key, “it’s our queer anthem.”
She doesn’t actually say the name of the song, but she doesn’t have to, just plays the first chord. She holds it until the crowd calms down a little, giving the song the weight it deserves. Then she continues, playing the intro of the song.
Alex adjusts his sticks in his hand. He still has a couple of beats until he starts playing, so he checks his surroundings. Everything is where it’s supposed to be. Or rather nothing is where it’s not supposed to be. There are no stray wires, no boxes, and the little step at his riser is in the correct spot. He’s ready. Now he just has to wait for his turn.
“Hearts on fire, we're no liars, so we say what we wanna say,” Julie begins to sing. People are joining in, knowing the words by heart just like they do on stage.
Alex catches Willie grinning up at him again, and he grins back easily.
“I'm awakened, no more fakin', so we push all our fears away.”
In the studio version Julie does the first verse and the pre-chorus by herself, but to give it more wham on stage, Reggie and Bobby are already tuning in with their instruments once the first verse is over. Julie looks over at them when they join as she begins the pre-chorus, adding depth to her piano playing, and together they lead the band into the chorus.
With a bang, Alex and Luke join the party. Luke and Julie sing together, their voices forming the harmonies that makes their sound so beautiful, and Alex finally adds the rhythm he’s worked so hard on. But the best thing is what happens around them.
As soon as they start playing the chorus, colors bloom around them. Bright, rainbow lighting tints the stage into a giant pride flag and has the crowd screaming. They’ve likely seen photos of it, the Gay Times wrote an article about it when they started touring, but to experience it themselves must be ten times better.
As Julie continues into the second verse, the colors around them shift. First it turns blue, purple, and pink, the bi flag proudly shining around them. Then the colors shift to pink, turquoise, and yellow, the pan flag. Just as Luke joins Julie again for the pre-chorus, someone throws a trans flag on stage, and Luke leaves his mic for a second to grab it. He holds it high in the air as the lights change to match the colors, a powerful sign of trans pride. Alex’s chest glows with admiration.
More flags join the round—ace, nonbinary, lesbian, aro, agender, just to name a few. Alex remembers sitting in the studio, brainstorming for the show, and coming up with this idea. He’d been hesitant at first, unsure if it would be possible or too much effort, but as soon as he told the others about it and they’ve been strongly in favor of it, Flynn promised to insist on it happening. She immediately started talking to their light technician about what was possible, drafted a design and an order for the flags, and made notes to plaster light sensitivity warnings all over the walls and doors of the venue and have the band repeat it on stage too. It was worth it. It all turned out so beautifully.
Julie and Luke lead into the second chorus. Alex’s turn is inching closer, and he almost slips up his rhythm. Reggie shoots him a glance and Alex responds with a nod. Reggie turns to the crowd again, but now with a giddy smile on their face.
The stage lights turn to the classic rainbow again and the chorus ends. That’s Alex’s cue to go.
While Julie and Luke slide into the bridge, Alex stuffs his sticks into his pocket and slips out from behind the drums. Confused sounds, shouts of questions come from the crowd as Alex, who is usually so content with staying behind his drums, moves to the front of the stage. His heart rate has tripled in speed, at least, as he gets to the edge of it. Julie and Luke begin the lyrics of the bridge.
A bodyguard meets Alex as he sits at the edge, helping him hop down to the pit. Just six feet separate him from the crowd, safely behind the barricades, and he sees about a hundred phone cameras facing him, as well as at least two of their camera crew. Only one person is standing still and staring, right in the center of it. Willie.
“And you’re a part of me,” Luke responds to Julie on the stage.
Alex steps up to the barricades, the bodyguard holding a secure arm around his middle.
“What are you doing?” Willie shouts at him over the cheers of the people surrounding them.
“I’m going to kiss you!” Alex shouts back. It’s barely audible over the sound from the stage and the singing of everyone around them.
“Now till eternity,” Luke continues to mirror what Julie is singing.
“Okay!” Willie responds, and Alex’s heart soars. He quickly steps up to them, taking their face in his hands, and Willie grabs a hold of the front of his hoodie.
“Been so long and now we’re finally free,” Julie sings, and right as her voice goes high on the last word, Alex kisses Willie.
The crowd erupts into madness. Alex knows it’s visible on the screens left and right from the stage, they made sure of that. He imagines the phones being pushed right into his face as everyone tries to get a good video. But all he chooses to focus on is Willie in front of him, holding him, kissing him back with as much enthusiasm as Alex is giving. Being surrounded by people screaming and shouting, his friend’s voice ringing from the speakers, all while being kissed by his favorite person, has Alex’s head spinning in the best way possible. He’s kissed Willie many times before, but he knows that this kiss, even though it’s not much more than their lips slotted together, will go down in the history of their relationship.
Alex pulls away when Julie’s note ends. They added a short guitar solo for Bobby to bridge the time for Alex to get back, but he only has a good 30 seconds until he has to sit behind his drums again.
“I love you!” he shouts at Willie before he books it, blindly using the bodyguard as leverage to get up the stage again. He’s not even able to wait for Willie’s response, but he knows that it’s probably a shouted “I love you too!”
He twists around Julie and Luke, ducks around the neck of Reggie’s bass, and slides the last couple feet to his setup. He takes a little more care as he climbs behind his drums, too anxious to kick something over. Grabbing his sticks and pretentiously spinning one, he locks eyes with Julie, and on the correct beat, she and him jump back into the song.
Their last chorus is a party. Bobby and Reggie join him on the riser, nodding their heads to his rhythm, before Reggie will take a leap off it as the song ends. The crowd is dancing with them, shouting the lyrics back at them.
Alex feels like they’re all experiencing the same shift in energy, going from Moment, to Movement. A bisexual Latina and a trans man sharing the center of a huge stage, masses of people coming to see and celebrate with them. A nonbinary person and their queerplatonic partner sharing that stage and actively taking space. A gay man jumping off that stage to go and kiss his boyfriend on camera, screaming “I love you” at them, getting everyone to look at them. That’s the world Alex strives to live in.
And when Julie closes off the song with her gentle words, Luke, Reggie, and Bobby lift the hands off their strings, Alex stands up, raising his sticks into the air, and the crowd doesn’t get a hold of itself for almost five minutes, then he knows that they’ll get there. And their little movement is just one step into that direction.

Nishikido Ryo Screen+plus vol.84 translation
Q: What new hobbies have you taken up recently?
Ryo: My hobbies really haven’t changed much. I occasionally play golf with my friends, but I mostly just stay at home, just relaxing (laughs). I don’t know….but I realized how important it is to be healthy.
Q: Has anything happened?
Ryo: A lot has happened. I've become an Ossan (laughs). There are a lot of places that hurt now. What will become of me when I reach 40 or 50? (Laughs) So something had to be done. I do yoga at home watching YouTube videos. Well, just living a simple life. (Laughs)
Q: Your first drama appearance in 4 years has been in the news, but can you tell us again how you frankly felt when you were offered the role?
Ryo: To put it simply, the fact that I was given an offer right now, & the fact I got to be offered a role regardless of where (i.e. agency) I belonged to, was what made me happiest.
Q: Did you decide to appear in the drama after reading the script?
Ryo: Yes, I did. I've had a few offers, but it was a matter of timing. This time it was the right time, so I accepted.
Q: When I saw the live footage of you performing “Secret Agent Man at your RYO NISHIKIDO LIVE 2021 “SHABBY”, as someone who has known you for a long time, it made me happy. But was this a kind of fan service?
Ryo: I didn’t mean that as a fan service though. It was the first CD where my voice was recorded. For me it's a kind of retrospective, the first page of the album. So I thought, "Now, this is how I sound like", that's all.
Q: Nishikido-san, what are your personal thoughts on what you hope will be conveyed from the NHK drama?
Ryo: To be honest, it’s not so much about the viewers, but rather if Kishida Nami, who is the author, her mother or her brother, who has Down’s syndrome, don’t have a bad feeling when they see the drama, then that’s fine with me. I’m not filming the drama for Kishida-san’s family but at the very least, I hope they can accept it. After all, I play the role of their late father. It would be nice to make them enjoy the father who lives on in their memories even more after watching it
About "Kazokudakara Aishitan Janakute, Aishita no ga Kazokudatta”
Q: Could you tell us about any memorable events that happened during filming?
Ryo: The lead actress, Kawai Yumi, surprised me. Her lines were all in Kansaiben and she spoke them so naturally that I thought she was from Osaka, but I didn't realize she was purely from Tokyo (laughs). She speaks Kansai so well. It's really good. I asked her, "Do you play the piano?" and she said, "No." I asked, "Are you a good singer?" She replied, "I don't know if I'm good at it.” It's true that people don't say they can sing very well (laughs). I think it's great that she can remember the tones and speak very naturally.
Q: let’s talk about ‘Let’s Get Divorced’. This is a film that Kudo Kankuro is working on the script for. It’s been a while since you’ve worked with Kudokan, what did you think when you heard about the drama?
Ryo: I was happy to be invited back even though I had left a big organisation, and I wondered if I had done a good enough job when I work with them before to make them think about inviting me back, without giving it a second thought. So I was of course happy to be invited back, and that is why I felt I had no choice but to respond to the invitation to the best of my ability.
Q: how did you feel after reading the script?
Ryo: It was very interesting. I heard that it was written by two people, Oishi Shizuka-san & Kudo-san, but I didn’t know who was writing which part. I mean, it was amazing that those two could write such a coherent script, and I thought it was also amazing that Isoyama-san (the producer) put it all together.
About Yakudzukuri (T/N: It is the act of becoming and concentrating on the role played by the actor in a drama or movie through study & preparation)
Ryo: There are people who say, "I don't need Yakudzukuri ". I think that's cool. I think it is necessary to include the minimum necessary knowledge, & if there is a scene where you are riding a horse & you are supposed to be an expert rider, you have to be able to ride a horse in an absolutely convincing manner, but I don't know if I would call it Yakudzukuri or not. I think it's just a question of whether or not I'm able to respond to such requests. If I were doing a performance completely on my own, I might have to think about all sorts of things.

I romantically match you with: Amity Blight!
-I WAS going to say Amity seems like she would be short af. But she is only a few inches below six foot as a teen and taller as an adult so never mind I guess.
-You remind me so much of seasons 1 and 2a Luz.
-Just like her and Luz you both are that ship trope where it's like a grumpy person and a ray of sunshine.
-Her REAL family (so not Odaila) and friends are the most important thing to her. She knew what it was like to have social status as her number one priority and it wasn't great.
-Amity missed out on a lot of actually living her life so now she spends a lot of her free time living her life to the fullest. Usually to the point where she expresses stuff others wouldn't experience in ten lifetimes.
-Amity will be do all the smart game things in her free time (I.E like you said puzzles, riddles and crosswords.) She find them relaxing. (Unlike me who has a storke when I mess up in a crossword.)
-Amity will read some random fact online and go to everyone she knows and be like "Guess what I just learned!"
-Amity would love to listen to you play instruments!!! She might try to learn herself to surprise you.
-She has problems with resting/ doing nothing, but she'll be damned if she lets you also have that problem. She will force you to take breaks. You might not feel overwhelmed or burnt out yet but if you carry on like this it will happen sooner or later.
-You fear stagnation? You and her both. So she is pretty good at comforting you if you're having a particularly bad time with the fear.
-Luz loves using emoticons. So first of all she's used to it. But she also finds it very endearing.
-It may be a basic headcanon but I think Amity's favorite drink is tea.
-Amity specializes in a few foods but besides that, she can't cook or bake. But the fact that you are able to remember and make so many recipes and make them taste good? You're basically magical (And she has authority on the topic.)
-She loves spooky stuff but not horror stuff if that makes sense. Like she loves a Halloween-y vibe and a campfire story scary, but nothing gory or like jump scares. That last one is just because of the cheapness of it.
-I think Lilith rubbed off on Amity in her love of history.
-She loves learning about the psychology of things. Why do people do the things they do.
I platonically match you with: Luz Noceda
-Optimistic person and optimistic person friendship is honestly always chaotic. And that's just how Luz likes it.
-Luz loves her friends and family so much. That's like her main thing
-Luz unintentionally lives life to the fullest. Danger and new experiences gravitate toward her.
-I feel like Luz played any instrument she could in school, that's not to say she was good at it but she tried. (She got better after studying in the bard coven.) So when she finds out you play she's very excited and wants to play with you.
-She wanted to do ballet when she was younger but when she found out classes weren't just dancing and were actual y'know... Lessons she left. (I can't blame her I don't know what your classes are like but when I was in ballet the keeping your head straight thing was torture for me) But since you do the dancing part that she was interested in she loves to watch perform.
-If you let her she'll watch the hell out your cartoon. You finished a very rough sketch? She is already by your side asking to see.
-Girl literally lives in the demon realm and is also obsessed with Azura She is in too deep to get out of the fantasy "phase."
-Mildred Featherwhyle ass I think I've made it clear that she loves seeing your craft, but the fact that you write FANTSY books!? She was so excited she literally bounced up and down
-Luz is going to force you to take breaks. She's not going to force you to do nothing, she has adhd she knows that can be hard. But taking breaks is important.
-She is the queen of using silly emoticons.
-Luz was obsessed with space when she was younger and you can't convince me otherwise.
-Luz likes and runs D&D campaigns.
-Luz canonically likes art both the writing and drawing kind.
Bro, I don't know what happened but I went OFF. Um- Hope you like it!

getting emo thinking about how important music has been in my life
putting a read more so i dont ramble on peoples dashboards
music has just been such a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember... I started playing instruments at a very young age, apparently one of the first big memories my parents have of my childhood is me playing our piano without any training and getting songs right bc I can play from ear which I think is a pretty solid way to demonstrate just how important music is for how i process things
i started playing the cello later when i was in 2nd grade and even though i have a LOT of trauma associated with the cello and orchestra in general it's still something I really want to return to someday... orchestra without the competitive edge feels almost heavenly, it's so amazing to make music as a part of a group... cello practice with my dad was probably the worst part of my childhood I still feel so much dread when I think about it. I was basically a prodigy from the beginning and because I set a high standard at the start my dad expected the same rate of improvement forever after that, and it was also coupled with him teaching me based on what he had read and observed rather than through his own experience playing a string and bow instrument, so he thought the techniques were easy and me not immediately being able to implement them was me not paying attention to or caring about what he was saying, so he'd get upset and insult me and say that I was terrible/lazy/awful/etc. for not listening to him ad not trying hard enough, and then I would get upset and cry and go nonverbal because I was like 8 and upset, and then he would get upset because I got upset and refuse to engage with me or quit with the insults until I could get my face back to a neutral position. so. I have a lot of emotional trauma around cello practice. but. that being said I do really miss playing it for fun. I was honestly very good at it. I would be better if I picked it up again and started playing.
I started playing the guitar when I was young too, my dad taught me how to fingerpick and now it's something I strongly associate with the good parts of my relationship with him while the cello I associate with the bad parts (cello practice with him was like extremely emotionally traumatic for me + my biggest trigger now as an adult is any sort of verbal berating while someone is playing an instrument, which is an extremely specific trigger and yet I found it while watching The Perfection --- great movie by the way i still highly recommend it --- so I know it's something that still affects me a lot)
But anyways, onto the rest of my tragic backstory :
When my parents finally split up when I was younger I channeled everything into the music I listened to and mother mother had such an iron grip on my head because I KNEW i was mentally ill in some way but I didn't know how to express it and I was so emotionally stunted and removed from my parents (see former experience with emotions around my dad) (and now they were getting a very very very messy and traumatic divorce and I didn't want to make things harder on anyone because I thought everything happening around me was my fault all of the time) (repeat ad infinitum) and mother mother expressed so much of what I was feeling and it just helped me process so much. When I moved out of my childhood home into my great grandmother's basement (which was literally hell for me like every morning i would watch to see if she was breathing to make sure I wasn't walking into a room with a corpse in it and it was so far away from my friends and i felt so isolated and sad and terrible all of the time and it was filled with mold and i was rotting there) I would just listen to music so much and it was like one of the only things that could take me out of the situation I was in.
I realized I was trans sometime before I moved out of my childhood home, maybe a year or two before then, and mother mother really helped me process that too thanks body by mother mother
When i got into high school i started to branch out a bit more and started listening to metal and found ghost which really impacted my artwork and just made me feel better about life in general
and now I just love music so much. One day I hope I can learn to mix and produce music so I can compose some stuff for myself.
anyways there isnt much of a point to this other than to say that music is a big part of my life and i love it a lot
#ramble#this kind of turned into me ranting about my tragic backstory and my very bad parenting#i love my dad but he was not equipped to raise kids

11, 15 and 21 for Poppy! 😊
Yay!! More OC POV asks! :D
11. What is your favorite type of media (TV, movie, books, etc)? Name some specific favorites (which shows, movies, books, etc do you like)!
"Oh, I love a good mystery novel!" The rabbit chirped excitedly. Her fingers drummed on the coffee mug she was holding, "I'm actually reading this book about a murder case that takes place in a mansion! There are six suspects, and they all have their own motivation to kill the man. And it's up to the butler to figure out who killed him, and where, and with what weapon!"
Realizing she got a little loud, Poppy cleared her throat before offering a sheepish smile, "Sorry, that probably sounds morbid. I also like romance and historic fiction novels. I don't own a television myself, but I do enjoy going to the theater. And my friends have their own TV's, so I can watch movies with them. And one friend in particular is warming me up to horrir movies. Just last night, we watched Night of the Living Dead together. I do own my own radio, too. I can't pick just one genre of music, though; it all depends on my mood!"
She hummed to herself as she took a sip of her beverage before answering the last question, "I can't think of too many specific titles that I enjoy. At least not at the moment. There are too many, really. But the ones I can think of right now are Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Phantom of the Opera- the novel and the musical. And this more recent fantasy movie called Legend. Have you heard of it? It's a little dark, but it has a happy ending." The rabbit looked very happy right now. Not a single strand of her fluffy black hair was out of place in that toony way to show stress.
15. Do you play any instruments? Which ones? How long have you been playing?
This new question made Poppy nod, still wearing her smile on her face, "Yes, I do! Not many, though. I can only play the piano. I even used to own one in my old house, during my life as an actress..."
At this, the light in her eyes diminishes somewhat before she let out a small sigh, "It's gone, now... My first boyfriend took it with him... It's ok!" She raises a hand then, quick to assure you to not worry about her, "That was years ago. If I had a bigger place, I would get another one. I do want to try to move into a house again for that reason... I miss playing, even if it was just for myself." She breathed another sigh through her nose before taking another drink of her drink.
21. Describe your ideal partner.
This time, the question caused her to almost choke. Mostly because it caught her off guard. Poppy had to grab a napkin to cover her mouth and regain her composure. After clearing her throat, she looked to you again. She was smiling again, but there was a hint of nervousness behind it too, "You're really interested in my taste?" This conversation was starting to feel a little too much like the kinds she would have with Shiny.
Once you confirmed you really were, Poppy nodded and glanced away. Not to avoid your gaze, but to ponder her answer. You could tell by the way her nose twitched occasionally- that was always a sign she was thinking about things, "Hm... Well, respect is most important. For both parties. I'd want a partner who wouldn't take advantage of me. I've already had enough of that... I'd also like a partner who can help me be more... Outgoing? Confident? I know I struggle with that sort of thing on my own. But won't try to force me to do things that make me uncomfortable, you know?"
The horror toon was silent for another moment, before nodding her head with a soft smile, "That's what's most important to me. I don't care what they would look like, or where they came from. I just want a kind, understanding person."
(Girl has dated a homeless fox, a former villainous wolf, and a drunkard rabbit. I think it's safe to say that she ain't picky XD)
#did i just reference Clue? why yes i did#also note how Poppy says 'they' in referring to a future partner- not 'he' :)#asks#my own OC's#poppy#oc answers#wfrr#who Framed Roger Rabbit

I've been a hobby figure skater for almost 15 years now and it always bothered me that the only figure skating representation we have in media is one of three types:
1. the sports anime type, like Yuri! On Ice in which a professional skater has a certain goal in mind and they are training to achieve that goal. This also comes in the form of skater had a bad injury and is now working towards getting back to their level or finding their love for skating again or smth (I think Spinning Out had a plot similar to this, but I haven't see much of it, so I might be wrong)
2. the one showing the bad sides of figure skating like the movie I, Tonya or Tillie Waldens Spinning. These are about bad experiences with coaches, high expectations, toxic competitiveness etc. (Although both of the examples I named are biographical, so I can't blame them for being the way they are, and I also genuinely love both of them)
3. the figure skater/hockey player romance?? idk this one, I've never read it, but I think there's a popular book about it and it's literally the only thing wattpad has to offer about figure skating (yes, I looked on wattpad, I was desperate to find something, okay?) either way, I don't care much for it bc I'm not a big hockey fan
so, anyway, none of these three types is how I experience figure skating. to me, it was always about learning new things and about this feeling of spinning faster, jumping higher and moving faster than you ever could on solid ground. and it was always a type of performing art to me. figure skating is a kind of tool for me to express myself and to interpret a song. and I also love it so so much and always have a lot of fun being on the ice.
professional figure skating is none of these things. professional figure skating is not a performing art, it's mainly about having the most rotations in a jump. it's only when professional skaters retire from competitions and start doing shows that they start performing. so while media that focuses on that aspect of figure skating is very fun and I enjoy it, it's not an experience I relate to.
as I've also said, figure skating is my hobby and there's always been a lot of joy in it and I've never had any bad experiences with coaches, so any media that centers around the darker sides of figure skating, while very enjoyable, is something I can't relate to either. I do believe it's important to portray that side tho since exploitation is an issue in professional skating and in clubs that are more focused on training kids that wanna become professional skaters, the environment can be quite toxic and competitive.
I think the only figure skating I've seen in media that I could see myself in was Barbie And The Magic Of Pegasus. in this one, figure skating isn't the main focus, it's just something Annika, the protagonist, likes to do for fun. also her level of skating is comparable to mine. (I think she does an axel at some point in the movie).
when your average YA protagonist needs a hobby, it's usually something like painting or music (but specifically only things like guitar, piano or the violin) or they play football or basketball or they do ballet if you're feeling fancy. just casually having a character be a figure skater would be so fun! they don't have to worry about triple jumps and going to nationals. you can just have them complaining about how they still can't do more than three rotations on a sit spin or that they landed an axel at the end of last season but haven't been able to do another one since then. or you could write about two characters connecting over their shared love for figure skating, whether it be romantic or platonic. so many fun possibilities!!
#also didn't mention it in the post but yuri on ice was so real for having a relationship between two figure skaters#like that was always my dream as a child that I'd fall in love with someone I met on the ice#I think spinning out also had a romance plot between two figure skaters but like I said I haven't seen much of it#either way I might add a little something about my ocs that are figure skaters in the reblogs but I didn't think it'd fit the post#figure skating#fiction#writing things

Let's do this. From questions listing. txmblr co/ post/108795761380/ random-questions (had to alter the url to send) 1,6,9,11,13,14,19,22,24,34,39,44,45,46,47,48,67,71,74,75,76,84,91,99,102,104,105,106,108,109,123,132,133,134,138,145,148,149. Or all of them if you feel adventurous! 🧠🤭
Holy COW NONNIE, you're putting me to work here (my entire fault). Let's go!
1. Do you bite or lick ice cream? Wanna lick it, but I end up biting it. Everytime.
6. Describe a moment in which you did something unacceptable in a bad situation. I didn't want to be social during my grandfather's waking, so I dove in the book I was currently reading. It was Bram Stoker's Dracula.
9. How many all nighters have you pulled? I don't know. A lot. (and only one of them was partying, I am not a party person)
11. How many romantic "things" or "flings" have you had? Four. (I am not counting my current relationship, eleven years it's far too long to be considered a fling).
13. What is your favorite background noise? Music.
14. How many hearts do you think you have broken? Only one. I hope. I don't wanna hurt people.
19. Have you played any instruments before? Which instruments? I wish. Well, no, wait. Not professionally I have done my things with ukulele and kalimba. And a little bit of piano when I was a child.
22. What is the best advice someone has ever given you? Trust the process.
24. How do you cheer yourself up after a bad day? Music, singing my heart out and drawing. Simultaneously. Or a good cry (often simultaneously, too).
34. Which fantasy world would you like to visit the most? Either Kingdom Hearts or The Last Airbender's world. I would go to Hawkins to give Steve a high five, but I wouldn't stay (maybe I would try to bring him back to the future with me).
39. Name the last book you read. 'A court of thorns and roses'.
44. Do you like and appreciate your life? Yes, and every step I took to get here, even the mistakes.
45. Do you like and appreciate yourself? Not everytime, but I try to keep that positivity frequent.
46. When was the last time you cried? Last Tuesday night, when my dog got sick and I didn't know what to do to make him feel better. It broke my heart.
47. What are you scared of? Butteflies, depth of the sea (thalassofobia), and on a more trascendental side, I'm terrified of not being enough for the people I love.
48. What is the most embarrassing, cringe-worthy thing you have ever done? Oh holy shit. I kind of sang in my highschool graduation a very inappropriate song that was a hit back a the time. To the date, my fiancé just doesn't know which song it was. Top secret thing. God, the embarrassment.
67. Do you have a favorite Disney movie? Character? The Little Mermaid, and it would be Ariel.
71. What scares you most about the future? In a personal level, pregnancy and losing people.
74. What are some of your New Year's resolutions? Getting back to drawing (yay me!). (I'm already telling you that next year's is going to be making a living out of it.)
75. What is your life story in 6 words? So she decided to trust herself.
76. Describe yourself in one word. Summer.
84. List the 3 most important people in your life right now. My fiancé and my parents.
91. What is your worst memory or creepiest experience? My worst memory is from last year, when someone who I cared about deeply and thought they were a friend publicly humilliated me using every bit of knowledge they had about me against me, to break me in purpose. They succeeded.
99. What languages can you speak? Spanish and English.
102. What ended your last relationship? I wasn't enough.
104. What is the most terrifying dream you've ever had? I want to shout to warn someone and no one listens to me, because I can't speak, or I'm invisible. It's a recurrent nightmare but I haven't had those in a while.
105. When was the last time you got seriously angry? Last year, when I started to heal from what I explained in 91. I got furious when I understood that I didn't deserve that shit (because, oh, they made me believe for a second that I did.)
106. What was the last friendship you broke? See 91.
108. Who was the last person you gave a hug to? My fiancé, before he left for work.
109. When was the last time you got seriously stressed? I haven't been unstressed since 2020. But I guess the last time that it got really bad was last February when I had a panic attack at work in front of my boss (was embarrassing, really).
123. What is your morning routine? Breakfast with my dog (coffee, a toast with butter, a piece of fruit, and a carrot for him). Then brush my teeth, make up, off to work.
132. What is your opinion on "going with the flow? Go with the flow unless something inside you tells you to turn away or it feels dangerous. If going with the flow means leaving your comfort zone and you're not ready for it, then don't do it. But if it feels like it's time, or might be fun, give it a shot. (PLEASE READ THIS ALWAYS IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT)
133. Do you enjoy talking or listening? I like listening more than talking (which might sound silly and dishonest since I'm talking A LOT in this post).
134. When is it time to end a friendship? When you can't trust that person anymore, or it is harming you to keep that friendship alive. Distancing is normal, people change, goes different ways. But keeping someone in your life when you know that they're bad for you is a mistake, in my experience, at least.
138. When was the last time you had a deep conversation with someone? Last Friday, with my mom.
145. What is your opinion on second chances? I believe in second chances, but in certain situations and environments. I believe in second chances when they've learned their lesson and changed, and worked for it. I don't believe in second chances when the differences between both parties are irredeemable. Second chances are asking for flexibility, and that should come both ways.
148. What advice would you give to yourself 5 years ago? Buy that tablet. Now.
149. How organized are you? I am a mess of a person (but I try not to).
-- If you want to play this little game, go ahead and send an ask!

What does he do when he feels down? Sleep.
What does he want his fans to call him on YT? Hayashuu (はやしゅー)
Most wanted item currently? A portable camera to film videos for his YT channel, which he'd been considering getting.
High school club activities? Though he joined the music/ band club (軽音楽部), he barely participated in it.
A happy moment since he became a seiyuu? Tokyo Revengers got popular, and a lot of people he hadn't met in a long while got in contact with him again.
What quirk/ habit of women's does he like? (what gives the 'kyun' feeling) When she adjusts her hair behind her ear as she's eating ramen/ soupy food.
What to keep in mind during recording sessions? Trying to feel your chara's emotions is important, but pay attention to others' dialogue lines too.
Does he like Graniph clothing brand? Yes. Cute sweatshirts and hoodies, plus he notices the cute outfits (worn by women) during filming.
What challenge does he want to try? Collab with various singers.
What does he do for daily motivation? (I didn't really follow but seems to be on the lines of just thinking a lot)
Udon or soba? Soba.
Difference between acting techniques for anime vs foreign film dubbing? For anime you have to imagine how to portray the character on your own, as for film dubbing there's already an existing screen actor so the consideration is to fill in as the actor's voice.
Favourite manga? Recently, it's The Fable (by Minami Katsuhisa).
Any quirks/ habits? While deeply concentrated in gaming, he'd stick his tongue out (as demonstrated in the YT video), and he's worried about unconsciously doing it when doing game activities for work.
Which seiyuu does he want to collab with the most? Many, but if he were to pick one, Shirai Yuusuke because he seems to be the most involved with YT activities.
'Dark' personal history? In high school, he was a gyaruo who'd try to hit on girls.
Liquor recommendation? (Some kind of whiskey I didn't catch, not commonly stocked in shops; from his earliest livestream, I think it's Kirin Fuji Single Grain Whiskey)
Embarrassing experience? In the 2nd year of middle school, while in the library he gotta rip a silent fart. You can guess what happened :)
What did he like to play during his school years? A lot of Super Famicom games during primary school, stuff like Captain Tsubasa.
What pet would he keep? He's not really into animals, but if he had to pick, cat.
Most laborious/ tiring moment? He went on a 3-year hiatus from acting for club activities in middle school, but once again aspired to become a voice actor in high school. It was the most tiring period for him back then, having to juggle both school and work.
What makes him happiest? The times when he's eating (rice/ meals).
The senpai he's on best terms with. Katsu Anri, or at least he thinks so, and Taniyama Kishou whom he sometimes went to drink with.
Important points when dealing/ interacting with people? Don't get carried away.
Where does he want to go for a vacation? Barcelona, Spain.
Which seiyuu does he think has a great voice? Tsuda Kenjirou.
Seasoning that he likes? Tabasco.
Protein flavour that he likes? Cookies and cream, strawberry.
Favourite outfit on women? Pants style/ overalls.
What spicy food challenge does he want to try? Okamoto Nobuhiko suggested that he try The Source Hot Sauce, but as it costs over 20,000yen he hasn't tried it yet, maybe one day.
For breakfast: rice gang or bread gang? Rice gang. Natto, rice, and miso soup.

Wednesday October 23rd 2024
I haven't posted in a while and truly I've been busy.
I've kind of been busy, I mean, I've been busier, but also, I've been in a mindset where I'm giving myself permission to sleep. Something I think about a lot is I don't feel sad when I'm sleeping, so I'd like to sleep for as long as possible.
That's probably not a great thing, but it's better then before, where if I didn't have anything in the morning and I didn't wake up early, I'd feel really bad about myself. Right now I'm simply staying asleep and also not feeling bad. At least, not consciously. I'm sure it's there in the subconscious ready to creep back up as soon as I start feeling more worthless.
I really think I'm autistic. I know that I can't say that for sure without a diagnosis, but I just get so upset about the most normal of things. I'm starting to think my emotional regulation actually just isn't that great. I do things I think are right, people get upset with me, and I just can't help but feel whatever I could possibly do to make it better will just make it worse. I'm thinking this out in a much separate way then how you normally think. It's like, I can't say things correctly or they always come out wrong, so I'll just bumble back into the same situation that made people mad at me in the first place.
I've also realized that more people than I thought are just ok with people being mad at them. Like, it's not as big of a deal as I think it is.
I blame my parents. Specifically, I blame my mom. I guess my dad enabled it too. Being a people pleaser. It's not just a mindset, it's completely rooted in my brain. I don't think I can get it out. I could act differently but it'll be emotionally upsetting
I'm watching a film on Netflix about a family that accidentally goes back in time. It's set in Europe and after like, a storm or something, they find themselves in a medieval town.
Actually they're definitely in a game of werewolves - that's the game they were playing come to life. It's like European reverse jumanji.
I think it's set in Rothenburg ab der Tauber - it's probably a popular place to film these kinds of things. I want to say the castle and the walls look familiar but honestly all medieval castles look like that.
it seems they have developed powers, like in the game. That's kind of fun. The dad can read minds and the grandpa's dementia is suddenly gone and he has super strength now.
I'm not trying to be performative, I genuinely suddenly started getting into the movie I put on.
Agatha All Along Episode 7 was really good. Compared to the last two episodes, it was suddenly very cinematic. I guessed that it was going to be shown out of time, and then when they started getting into it, it was crazy. Lilia was both literally and figuratively "the good witch." Also I feel like all (maybe not all, but most) big secrets were revealed because of her. She just learns stuff and spills, because it's important, she's not trying to play games, she does everything for the good of others, and then she just goes and sacrifices herself.
Would the Salem Seven still have had to deal with the gravity flip disaster if Lilia locked them in, or was Lilia's presence after the trial the key to all of that?
I had a phone interview with a private lessons studio and it went pretty well. I'm nervous about managing my schedule if it starts going well but I think it'll be ok. I'll have to step back from my weekly ensembles a little bit and it'll suck rearranging that, but I know it'll be alright in the end.
I hope I'm good at it. I have a mock lesson with the interviewer next week. I haven't actually taught many private lessons, only someone who was moderately self taught. but they use Faber books, which I'm comfortable with. And I know how I could supplement my own stuff in there.
For the mock lesson, I'm assuming the "student" is a beginner piano player. So here's my plan of action, which can vary greatly depending on the student.
The most important things for new learners to know is the notes on the keyboard. I'm not even going to worry about technique or hands at first. . First I'm going to talk about the musical alphabet. I'll ask them if they know the alphabet song (most students should but some of them are as young as 5.) I'm going to have them sing up to G over an over with me. (Perhaps I can play twinkle twinkle little star as we sing, if the kid likes singing.) Then I'll tell them about how to find C using the two accidentals. I'll have them find every single C on the piano and count them. The fourth C is "middle" C.
Then we'll go up the board from whichever C we started at. All the way up the keys. CDEFG - then what? A. Start at A and go up to G. We can still be singing out loud if that's what the kid likes. Then once we get to the top, go back to the bottom and do it again.
Question: what happens to the sound as you go up the keyboard? High vs low definition of keys. The right goes higher, the left goes lower. Then we can talk about the alphabet going backwards as it goes down. That'll be tricky and more introductory, we can spend more time on that as we go on.
This is when I'll take a break from the piano and talk about hand shape. Make an O with hands, or hold on to our knee, curve our fingers up. Tap our thumbs with each finger. Then find the side of the first finger. Tap each finger one at a time on a table keeping that curve. Start introducing talking about the number of fingers - doesn't need to be official info, just start using that terminology.
Using our fingers and putting it together: Find C again and put our thumb there, the rest of the fingers on a key. Practice tapping and naming keys up to G and backwards. Do the same with the left hand, thumb on C and go backwards. Then try two hands together for extra hard level.
This will be the warm up to start for the next couple of lessons.
I'm wondering if I should start with rhythm reading right away, or get used to the piano more. I could use musescore or some of those YouTube play alongs that I've used before to start feeling a beat and starting with quarter notes and eighth notes and eighth note rests. Then I could have them find their favorite note and play along to some play alongs, before we get into music reading.
So it could be always 5-10 minutes rhythm reading activity, maybe at the beginning or the end.
Technique - notes - rhythm. That's beginning stuff. There should be a little bit of each. For younger kids, also just a lot of puzzles, play alongs, maybe introducing the metronome and drum beats and music.
The next steps would be reading and writing. That'll happen a little bit with the faber books. Quizzing on the notes on the piano, starting to introduce notes on the page. Start getting into reading FACE and EGBDF on the treble staff, and ACEG and GBDFA.
This will become more integrated with reading.
I think it would also be neat to actually get students reading and writing a little bit, but I'm not sure exactly how. Lots of kids don't use paper and pencil to read and write nowadays, and I don't mean that as a "back in my day" talk. I mean literally. I've been in the current public school system and it's literally so normal to use Chromebooks for everything. I've seen upper elementary schoolers who genuinely couldn't write complete sentences.
Writing this out, I don't think my "curriculum" is organized. I should come up with like, an excel sheet or something.
More to come,
Bea

I must be true to myself. I must never forget how there is a child, a teen, a young adult, and a grandmother in me. I must nurture all of them:
I want playmates, ones who are so honest, they take away my Barbie just because they want to play with it. And we would fight over it and make up. We would color together and panic when the crayons aren't complete. We would imitate older people, wanting to grow up.
I want a best friend, one who breaks trivial rules with me, and watches movies with me in my/her room. She would do my make-up and I would cut her hair. We would go shopping together for useless things that we eventually would keep in our time capsule box, that every girl has in her room, probably under her bed.
I want someone, preferably the same best friend, or more than just one person, to go to coffeeshops with, probably studying for an important exam in college. We would speak about being lost in life, wanting to pursue everything that we can think of. Eventually, we would go shopping, and this time, for more important things that we would use for the long run, like a vacuum cleaner. Maybe, I would tag along in their dentist appointment. We would work out together if we wanted to. Maybe get cocktails when we feel like it. And for the slightest chance of it happening, maybe try out a rave.
I want to fall in love and be in love. I wouldn't deny that I have and am experiencing it as I write this, but for the present, he is 8,000 miles away from me. I would love to go on dates in person one day, hold hands, maybe kiss. I want him to tuck my hair behind my ear and I would blush. We would talk about everything and anything under the sun until we don't even notice that it had already set. And I would not care about what the world thinks about us, me, or him.
I want to have grandchildren, preferably with the same man I spoke about, and with friends that have turned godmothers and then back to friends, who would knit with me. We would still go to coffeeshops and take pictures of each other. I would spoil my grandchildren with whatever I bake and purchase. I would still write and read, play piano or guitar in my own little sun room.
I must nurture and surround myself with love.
