Shu doesn’t really care much about PDA or who even sees it.

Whether it be public or private, he doesn’t care--it’s more of the fact that he just gets lazy about doing it in general--it really depends on his mood.

If he is in the mood tho, things are a lot more lively than usual.

And since he’s lazy a lot of the time and doesn’t initiate much PDA because of that, it always comes as a surprise when he does, leading you to be caught off guard and he lives for that factor.

In general, he gives you lots of smirks, even if he’s laying down with his eyes closed and you’re somewhat near him.

Honestly, every time you see one on his face, you know he's got something lewd on his mind or you're doing something that's turning him on even if you're not physically doing anything intimate with him.

When it’s just you two tho, be prepared for more scandalous surprises--he seriously likes to keep you on the edge.

If you’re busy doing something, he’ll pretend that he’s asleep, but really, he’s just watching the way you move or the way your gaze gets focused when doing an activity.

But he’d of course turn or instantly close his eyes if you looked in his direction, your mind being totally oblivious to the fact of him observing.

If, by any chance tho, you bend down to get something, this is a serious turn-on for him, his mind racing at the idea. And if he gets a slight view of your panties or ass, it’s a plus.

If you’re sitting down on the couch and he’s laying down he likes to use your thighs as a pillow so he can rest his head. He also likes it when you run your fingers through his hair, it always makes him fall asleep peacefully.

But he’s gonna be the biggest ass about it, accusing you of being a perv and that you can’t keep your hands off him when it’s the other way around.

When laying down with him, he likes to pull you into him, but things change depending on if you’re facing him or not.

If you’re facing him, he’ll act pretty domestic and express small acts of affection like giving you forehead kisses for no reason or before going to sleep. He also likes to rest his hand on the dip of your waistline.

If you’re not facing him tho, he likes to take things up a notch, especially if he’s in a certain mood.

He likes to place his hand on your hip or place a leg over yours so you can’t leave.

He also likes to just lay his hand on the side of your ass because he apparently finds it natural to do so. And if he really wants to invoke a reaction from you, he’ll even go as far as to clutch your ass.

He’s not opposed to have you lay down on top of him and rest your head in his neck, but just know this won’t stop him from resting on your ass or giving it a smack if he feels like it.

You sometimes let him lay on top of you, and you honestly become his body pillow in this scenario. He really likes the idea of you beneath him, and likes it when this happens to he can trap you and prevent you from leaving since he thinks your body feels comfortable to lay against.

In public--if you actually managed to drag him somewhere xDD--when you’re walking with him, he likes to pull at your clothes just to get you to look at him, but he’d be quick to let go and make it look like he didn’t do it.

He’d then deny it when you’d ask him, saying you’re just hallucinating when you know you’re not.

If you’re wearing jeans that really highlight your hip area, he’s definitely not going to let you live it down, and when you’re not expecting it, he’ll give your ass a small smack and doesn’t care who’s watching.

I've said this in another post regarding Shu, but he likes biting or making out with you in the stairwells at school.

Yes, he actually finds the energy to do this xDD.

He really likes the idea that it’s secluded but that you also could get caught by a teacher or school staff member.

At school, he encourages you to skip class to hang out with him. You of course say no, but he manages to get you to do so in various ways--by either tricking you that class is cancelled or that he makes you forget about the time and by the time you realize that you’re late, there’s only a few minutes left of class.

He also tries to make you go to different parts of the school where students aren’t allowed.

This is mostly because he wants to be alone with you and doesn’t want some annoying teacher or students to get on his nerves when he’s with you.

Plus, he lives for the risk of getting caught, remember? xDD.

“But Shu, if we get caught it-,”

“Who cares.” He’d say, still continuing to lead you, his hand intertwined with yours.

If their school in DL has a terrace area, Shu’s definitely going to spend a lot of time there if he doesn’t want to lounge about in the halls and have some annoying teacher or staff member get on his case about going to class.

And since he likes to have private moments with you, he’ll use this as another place to share an intimate moment with him or just talk about whatever.

He likes to sit on the ledge lazily and have you stand in between his legs, his arms pulling you into him as he’d share a slow and passionate makeout session with you.

But of course, when the bell would ring, he’d groan and slightly growl under his breath since it was interrupting the moment, your lips pulling away from his.

“Oh, the next bell.”

“Who cares.” He’d say, pulling you back in for a forceful kiss, being annoyed that school was getting in the way.

You’d pull away, attempting to break free of his grasp. “Shu, I gotta go otherwise I’m gonna be-,”

He wouldn’t listen, his arms not willing to let you go, quickly pulling you in for another kiss, causing you to melt into it. He took note of your reaction, soon pulling away.

“Is that so? Your body says otherwise.” He’d smirk.

“I’m serious.” You’d laugh, playing slapping his arm. “I promise I’ll be back soon.”

He’d sigh, knowing he’d be pretty bored for the next hour or so, but you’d be quick to place a small kiss on his cheek, reassuring, “I promise.”

You’d quickly grab your things and head off to class. It was faint, but a small smile spread across his face as you left, his undead heart content.

As we know, Shu doesn't really attend class, so you have to drag him there. You of course try to encourage him, but he always says it's a drag, but sometimes he'll make the exception of going if you really want him to.

Say you need a partner for a new project for a class you both have together, he'll come so you don't get paired up with someone random.

But on the way there, he's gonna tell you how much of drag all of this as you lead him by the hand to class.

He’ll sometimes go to class just to make you happy, but he honestly doesn’t focus or take notes on anything. He’s honestly more sleepy there than he is in general, his chin resting on his palm as he’d lazily eye his surroundings.

He only directs his attention to you and whispers perverted things into your ear while class is going on, which makes you super distracted and on the verge of getting caught, a blush rising on your cheeks only making him amused knowing he’s getting a reaction out of you.

Luckily you two sit near the very back benchtop lol.

While you’re busy listening to the teacher lecture, he likes to unexpectedly laying his hand on one of your thighs, instantly catching you off guard. He’d gently stroke it up and down in a soothing manner to the point that you’d just brush it off and continue listening to the lecture, but that was until he’d go as far as slipping his hand between your thighs, almost making you jump out of your seat.

And sometimes, the teacher calls him out for distracting you since they see that something is off, but they don’t suspect what he’s doing to you exactly.

“Mr. Sakamaki, stop distracting Y/N. Either behave or go to the principal’s office.”

He’d of course only sigh in return, obviously not caring, the teacher soon resuming their lecturing knowing he wasn’t going to change.

But if you're giving a presentation in class you share with him, you of course try your best to not make him find out, but he always ends up finding out.

And this is where he actually finds the will to go to class just so he can tease you while you're presenting--by inaudibly mouthing lewd words towards you in hopes that you'll blush or mess up.

He'll even stare at you up and down or at different areas of your body as you're presenting as another tactic to get you to mess up.

He's definitely going to tease you after class about your presentation--you're honestly never going to hear the end of it.

Also likes to tickle you when you least expect it--it sometimes leading to full-out tickle wars, mostly because he enjoys hearing your laugh.

Rin has been my favorite AnE character since the beginning. Such a sweet guy, and an interesting take on the traditional Idiot Hero. I like Kato's take on several of the Shonen manga archetypes for that matter. What are some of your favorite reconstructions of familiar character types in AnE?

Hey Anon! To be honest, I can’t say I’m that aware of the usual shonen archetypes considering that I read seinen more. :) And I’m not a literary reference, so it’s kinda hard to use the right words too. 

That being said, Rin’s a fave too, with Mephisto, Shiro, Shura, Shiemi… and the rest of the cast. xDD So I’ll try to answer you. 

For Rin, I like how he doesn’t simply get stronger with each arc, but he grows up on many aspects at once. Sure, first he learnt to control his flames, then he learnt to focus his attacks, and then his sword was broken in ch98 destroying the seals over his power, but otherwise each arc gave Rin other things to focus on.

In fact, I like that it’s not just his nature as a demon that he has to deal with, but also the consequences of that with the people around him. Like, as the story begins, we see Rin as kind of a loner, because he tries to fit in but can’t. 

So having friends (and falling for Shiemi) was a really new experience for him, one he’s enjoying but that he still has to learn about sometimes:

And as he’s getting better with that, that’s when the one constant in his life so far…

shatters. Mostly though, I love Rin because he’s… so sweet, as you said. 

Initially, he was presented as your usual Shonen hero indeed, especially with his goal to defeat Satan after Shiro’s death, but slowly the whole story moves on from that. That goal of his is less and less mentioned (which is not typical of usual shonen heroes who tend to cling to their goals in my opinion) as Rin is simply going through life and now…

And in my opinion we went from “beating Satan’s ass” to…

…a slight difference I really enjoy, even I’m no fan of Satan (and I want to see him lose). 

Similarly for Yukio, who’s as much a main character as Rin is, his angst defies usual levels you have for characters of a similar type and what I love is that it’s really building up throughout the whole story: Shura showed signs of having noticed it before Toudou was introduced, we found out that he was already preoccupied back when Shiro was still alive (ch93), up till his own despair and pure self-loathing got the better of him.

And I really feel for him and his illustration of the “fallen angel” trope. I mean, I’m the first to say it’s easy to roll your eyes and hope that he’ll stop seeing everything in the darkest black, but it’s the slow unravelling to this state through so many arcs that makes it so impressive and seemingly impossible to solve at the moment. 

A lot will probably have to happen before he’ll manage to come back.

The thing is, we all knew Yukio was going to break down at some point. He got some sort of a recess with the Aomori arc, but before we eventually reached the anti hero/fallen angel level, we passed by attempted suicide and that gave a whole new tone to the manga (especially since it’s shonen) in my opinion.

I said before that there is a lot of cliché tropes about twins in manga that I don’t really like: the good twin/bad twin trope is one, but by showing us the extent of Yukio’s issues before he completely fell into the abyss, I find that Sensei is avoiding cliché once again. 

And both for Yukio and Rin, I like that romance took a more unexpected turn that one could have expected at first, at least in my opinion. :)

Moving onto Mephisto, I love the fact that he’s both literally The Chessmaster…

and incredibly powerful as Samael, but his behavior most of the time doesn’t reflect that. 

…Which is usually the case with the clown type (looking at UT in Kuroshitsuji, or Checkerface in KHR, same for the Clowns in TG even if it’s Seinen), so this part isn’t exactly surprising, but it’s more how his true nature was never exactly hidden and yet he can still completely surprise us on many things. 

That’s why I really enjoy the theory that he might be the big bad, as far as the twins are concerned, because knowing he’s on Assiah’s side, you tend to think that even if he’s an ass at least he’s on “our” side, when it might be more complicated than that. :) 

Plenty of others reasons to appreciate Mephy’s character though, as I shared here. :)

For Shura, it’s mostly a matter of contrast. She’s The Mentor, but she’s not particularly acting responsible otherwise (due to the thing with Hachiro), because her motivations are initially related to her own pet peeve (Shiro).

She’s also without a doubt the hottest girl of the whole series (not a big fan of Iblis and her three eyes personally) and yet her behavior once again doesn’t fit what you’d expect of this kind of characters in other shonen series, again just in my opinion. 

She’s not a dignified or proper lady, who bats an eyelash and everyone is wooed, or who behaves coldly/unaffected to others: she used to be a heavy drinker, she’s hardly ever serious, she loves getting on people’s nerves on purpose, etc.

Again, this is related to her issues with Hachiro (and Shiro), but I like that the fact she’s Hot™ (trademarked by Mephisto) doesn’t mean she can’t be powerful, or Rin’s mentor, or getting on people’s nerves, or insulting her superiors, etc. 

Just like I enjoy the fact that she can dress scantily (probably because she likes it) and that doesn’t mean she’s a hoe or only about fan service, as we could see Shiro lecture her on the subject, in ch78. 

Maybe I’m not explaining super well, but it’s really about Sensei not being too over the top with any character and that shows up in Shura as well: 

she’s Rin’s mentor but sometimes she’s at a loss with what to do; 

she’ll do anything to protect the twins but she still gets scared by Mephisto’s shenanigans; 

she’s older than the boys but she still needed their help with an issue even Shiro couldn’t help her with

after the Aomori arc, she started to act more mature in general because the twins are going to need her, etc.

Again, it’s really a thing for most of the cast, but I like it even more in Shura’s case, because, even with just the way she dresses as an example, she really could have been a shallow character but Sensei managed to weigh in everything properly.  

Now, as far as Shiro goes, I love how Sensei deconstructed his character through several flashbacks, slowly shedding his coat of “the perfect dad” he seemed to be after sacrificing himself to save Rin in ch1. 

Oh sure, he was a good parent, but not perfect as we can see with Yukio or even Shura and that is something that we needed to make clear, both for the plot but also for the twins’ sake. 

Speaking of the plot, I like that Shiro’s a walking mystery very plot-relevant and not just The Hero’s Father Figure Who Died Helplessly. It would have been very easy to make Shiro a symbol Rin was becoming stronger to get revenge for, but it’s about so much more than that.  

Because if Shiro is a symbol of anything, it’s about how the Order is full of bullshit and enslaving the pawns that are necessary to them…

…as Mephisto made sure we got right:

Even now that he’s dead, I have doubts about Shiro being free from whatever he’s supposed to owe the Order/Mephisto. So yeah, he’s so much more than the Dead Symbolic Hero or whatever trope he’s supposed to illustrate, in a very tragic way actually, and I love that!

And finally about Shiemi (because I really gotta stop somewhere), what can I say besides the fact that she’s a very surprising one. :D 

We’ve been getting many character arcs ever since the beginning and yet it was so unexpected to me when it turned out she was going to have her own and that it’d be so very main plot-relevant. It shouldn’t have been a surprise, since everyone in the main cast gets one, but I still definitely wasn’t envisioning anything at all like the theories about Shemihaza before we hit the current arc!

Other examples of why she’s kept on surprising me throughout the story: the first time we meet her, she’s this helpless and mourning girl who’s been possessed by a demon, then she gets used by Izumo upon trying to make friends. I’m sure you remember that girl. 

And yet she saved Paku and then everyone else in Neuhaus’ arc immediately after. Same in the Kyoto arc: she was as pissed and scared as everyone (not counting Izumo) about Rin’s origins, but she was the first who managed to admit how misguided she was when she realized how much he suffered about being different.

What I’m trying to say is that Shiemi constantly surprised me and also other characters in the story (for example), despite the fact that Sensei wrote plainly what her character was about very early on in the story:

So yeah actually she helped Paku, she helped Rin, she helped Izumo, she tried to help Yukio, she saved everyone from being burnt by Rin going Satan 2.0… And now she’s in trouble with the Vatican. 

In a way she’s more the typical Shonen Hero than Rin is, when she’s supposed to be the Main Girl, lmao. For example, everyone found out about who Rin was pretty quickly in the story, meanwhile…

…her own identity is more of a secret than Rin being Satan’s son or Mephisto being a high-level demon and something both characters and readers are getting angsty about. 

And, as I tried to explain above, Rin’s currently more involved with acknowledging where he comes from and bringing his brother back over having to save the world or denouncing that the Order is probably really no better than the Illuminati. 

Even his goal of defeating Satan, which is very Shonen-like, hasn’t been mentioned in a long time now. Meanwhile Shiemi’s character arc directly delves into how shady the Order is as an organization…

and this might indirectly lead us to her having to play a very important role with protecting everyone from Satan/the Illuminati (whether it’s by her will or not).

Of course, Rin’s own journey in the past is showing us many of the Order’s dirty secrets but the point is for Rin to learn about the past so that he can bring Yukio back (what he wants) and possibly defeat Lucifer (what Mephisto wants). When it comes to the state of the world with the opening of the artificial Gehenna gate, for now it’s not exactly Rin’s problem, but it might be more related to Shiemi’s arc if she’s truly related to Shemihaza (because of the Grigoris). 

It’s probably badly summarized, but that’s how I see it. xD As I said in the beginning, I’m really not good about precisely describing shonen archetypes, so this may not be making any point. I just like AnE because I find that Sensei does manage to avoid making her characters a bunch of stereotypes easy to read through, in a very realistic way. See below, with Lightning’s example:

Even Arthur, who’s presented as the most stereotypical dude in the whole cast in my opinion, might be hiding his game better than most of us can probably imagine.

That’s what I like the most when it comes to what you were asking about. :) Kato-sensei is an excellent writer because of this amongst other things.

Highschool AU: Having a crush

Madara

Madara is the kind of guy who is at the same time super popular, but on the other hand nobody talks to him - and he doesn’t want them to, either. He’s distant, quiet, but super attractive and has got a sharp mind. Basically: one half of the school absolutely loves him and wants to date him, the other half hates him. There are going to be veeeery few people who don’t have such a strong opinion on him. He’s talked about, although he barely ever talks. I think for him it is most likely that he’ll fall for someone who is more or less of indifferent to him. I mean, he is probably a huge dick to those who hate him, and fangirls and fanboys annoy him, but if there is someone… who is interested but doesn’t freak out when they see him, he’d dig that.

Although not necessarily friends, there are some people he hangs out with. And they’ll notice right away, even if he doesn’t say anything about it. He won’t push it, won’t try and come close to you on school grounds - because honestly, you’d be the center of attention pretty quickly and Madara doesn’t want that for you.

Hashirama knows, Izuna knows, Tobirama suspects it.

It’ll surprise him, honestly? He doesn’t understand? He probably pretends for a while that they aren’t even that great, why am I so attracted? But he won’t fight it for long. He… wants this future s/o.

Observes them as much as he can. He won’t go out of his way to watch them in school, but he’ll sometimes walk around town too see if you’re hanging out somewhere, and he’ll remember those places. As much as he wants this crush to be his - once he accepted the fact that yes, he is crushing - he’ll be quite the jealous, curious admirer. He wants to know who you’re hanging out with. He wants to know you.

There will be a point, it might be quite sudden, where he realizes it’s more than a crush, and it’s something he needs to take seriously. And at this point, his withdrawn nature will vanish. He can be quite bold - a little bit too much sometimes perhaps - and he’ll make sure you know one thing: He is interested, and he has good reason to believe that so is his crush. He’s confident, almost cocky when finally approaching his crush. That calms down once he’s actually in the relationship he wants, but courting means showing himself off.

Very protective and jealous, even before you’re together he might treat you a little bit like you already are. He won’t let anyone come close to you, he’ll show up at places you are and basically demand you spend time with him. He’ll be busy protecting you from his fans, but he doesn’t shy away from putting his foot down and telling them to back the fuck off.

And he can be a smug asshole if he notices that you’re getting more and more interested in him.

Hashirama

what an actual angel. this is my first time writing hashirama and I lOVE HIM

Sunshine. Tries to be friends with everyone, probably school council or something! Some people don’t like him out of jealousy, but honestly, he is like the queen bee? So good so pure?

He really does try to be friends with everyone. And not just lets-talk-in-the-hallway-when-no-other-friends-are-around. No, he’ll get to know the people as good as he can, he’ll make time for everyone. Sometimes he slacks off a little and his grades are sometimes not thaaat good but that’s because he’d rather spend the whole night talking on the phone with a friend who’s going through a rough time than studying for a test. But luckily he has Tobirama XDDD

It would be so obvious if he had a crush. He is usually so open with everyone, but as soon as his crush walks by, he goes shy!!! Red face, stutters, the whole package! But the more time he spends with them and gets to know them, the more comfortable he will be around them. He’ll try to show off a little, too, but it’s all playful and sweet. Actually a lot of “dates” before you actually go out.

Wants to get to know everything about you, hence why he always does stuff with you. He will try to be your best friend!

He talks about you sooooo much it’s annoying to everyone else. Like, he just can’t shut up???? You’re so great???? He’s like a fanboy

Will probably try to wait for a good day like Valentine’s Day or maybe even prom to ask you out. He wants it to be special! Honestly, you’ll know it’s coming because as soon as the idea is in his head, he’ll get so giddy about it! Also, he IS very honest with his feelings and even before properly confessing he will tell you how amazing you are and how important you are to him.

Since he makes all potential fanboys or fangirls his friends, there is little jealousy from anyone else - they’re happy for him!! He is always taking care of others, now someone can take care of him!

Totally takes you to prom with a super nice suit, flowers and the sweetest smile! Your parents will love him immediately!

Tobirama

Grades, grades, grades, sarcastic jokes, grades, leave me alone, grades.

Without a doubt one of the students with the best grades. Even if there are some things he doesn’t know, he studies like crazy, so he aces practically every test or exam. Nerd.

He doesn’t like having crushes, honestly. It’s distracting, and he is a guy who has intense emotions, if he has them. Although, it’s gotta be someone special! Not necessarily someone expectionally clever or somethhing but… just someone who interests him. Someone who’s confident and sticks to what they believe might be a good match for him?

He avoids them for a while, so much that it becomes quite obvious to the people close to him aka his brothers. They would notice quite quickly how he grows all quiet and broody when his future s/o walks by

He will be quite cold to you when he first starts having this crush,but the more time he has to get used to it, the more he opens up. He’s still that straight-faced douche but he’ll try and help you out. Study with you, carry some heavy books, things like that. Never over the top because he feels awkward with the possibility of showing his feelings

But his crush is very likely to notice how much effort he puts into caring for them - for other people it might not be a lot, but everyone who knows Tobirama sees that he’s being careful with them

it will take him a while to confess, if he does at all. I think it would be good for his crush to confess tbh because this boy pretends to be SO cool but in reality…. he’s shy af. Don’t tell him I said that.

It’s a possibility that Hashirama sets you two up. Or tries to. Tobirama will hate him.

If he DOES ask you out, expect flowers, a blush on his cheeks and a very secluded place far away from school. If you accept his feelings, I feel he’d give you this really awkward but adorable first kiss. He isn’t touchy-feely by any means, but he does want to show you he’s serious. Because with his unromantic attitude he fears that his crush could doubt his feelings

Ino

Busy little bee. She is one of the popular girls, with a lot of fake friends and very few good friends. She can get along with anyone if she tries, but usually she doesn’t bother trying.

Definitely the one to get a crush on the popular guy, and will sometimes act like they’re already dating in front of her friends. But those aren’t actually true feelings. Yes, she is head over heels, but it’s not like her heart beats only for that person. People might think she only likes that guy because as the popular girl she should like the popular boy, right?

She has quite the mouth on her, so many schoolboys would be intimidated or annoyed by her. Even in this setting I could see her falling for someone like Sai tbh

But Highschool Ino is at heart quite open to people. She understands them pretty well and even though she has become good at manipulating people, she would be quite… shy around a guy she truly cares about. But she wouldn’t want all those fake friends to know. They’re likely to get hyped up over that person, following Ino’s example and having “crushes” on him themselves. And there would be some who would try and take hm away from her. She doesn’t want that, so she keeps those truly pure feelings to herself.

Actually admires intelligence a lot. Likes to be treated as an equal. Can have quite the temper. But… she is actually a very caring admirer, even though it will be outside of school, mostly.

If he really is quite smart, she would definitely try to get him to tutor her. And honestly, though she is constantly swooning on the inside, she does give her best to impress her crush - and her grades show it.

Yes, she would very much like to be asked out instead of doing it herself. But she isn’t a very patient girl. So if the crush just doesn’t say anything about it… she will do the asking out.

Probably in the heat of the moment. Maybe after a studying session?

Will expect want you to ask her to prom. She is one of the people who really want prom to be special, she wants to wear the prettiest dress and to dance all night with the boy she loves! So yeah, do that for her, even if you can’t dance!

Temari

I can see Temari as the sporty, cool girl. She’s got quite  temper, but she makes good friends and basically turns school into a fun time for herself and others! She isn’t the most popular one, but she doesn’t want to be super popular either! She has pretty decent grades, has some good laughs… and gets into some fights. So a pretty awesome girl tbh

It’s not easy to fluster her, or to get her attention if you’re not already one of her friends. But she can be bold with her affections. Although… it takes time for her. She doesn’t want to fall into a relationship unprepared! I can see her having a crush on someone who used to irrritate her. Someone who is bold and confident like her, someone who can keep up with her. But no matter who she falls for, she can be quite the tease.

She tells her friends about that crush, and they help getting the crush into their group, too. So yeah, you’ll be her friends’ friend too. Nickname: Minnie. Everybody calls her that!!! Half of the time that’s just how Minnie introduces herself she hardly ever uses her actual name. Dodger calls her Mins. 

Reason for name: Her mother was very into soap operas haha and the main lead in her favorite soap opera was named Minerva hence Minnie’s name

Birthday: February, 28th 1994

Places lived since: She has lived in London for about three years after the death of her parents because she was sent into the foster care system. She was then given to her Aunt who lives in Swynlake so she returned back.

Parents’ names, backgrounds, occupations: Melanie and Michael Muysken. Both parents are currently deceased. When they were alive though, Michael was a neurosurgeon and Melanie was an elementary teacher. Melanie and Michael met when Michael started off his residency in Spain. During that time he met Melanie when her mother had to come in for surgery in the hospital he was a resident for. It was history from there and then Michael brought Melanie over to Swynlake.

Relationship with family (close? estranged?): Minnie’s parents are dead. :((( When they were alive though she had a very close relationship with them both!!!

Happiest memory: Her happiest memory would be when her mother would believe that she was this awesome opera singer and go about singing in the house. Minnie and her dad would always end up blocking their ears and hilariously laughing at Melanie. 

Childhood trauma: Yeahh Minnie had a couple of these. For starters, Minnie was witnessed to her parents’ death. It was a car accident in where she had been the sole survivor and in being so she had to watch her parents die, even though she had tried her best to keep them alive (but she was only ten then). Then she had to live in the foster care system for a couple of year and for the icing on the cake she was legally given to her Aunt who was an angry alcoholic along with her husband.

Complexion (freckles, acne, skin tone, birth marks): Minnie has this kind of like beautiful tannish type skin and doesn’t really suffer from acne. It isn’t even because she’s on top of her skin, like skin care wise, she really kind of isn’t haha she just got lucky it seems.

Distinguishing facial features: I’m not sure if this technically counts buttttt I’m going to say her hair!!!! Ughhh Minnie has such gorgeous haiiirrr!!!!! Her hair is very long and pretty thick so she has this volume of beautiful brown-black hair!!! So pretttyyy.

Usual hair style: For the most part, Minnie’s hair is always up. More times then not it’s up in the typical messy nurse-bun that for some reason ends up looking cute even though it’s a messy bun haha. Other times it’s a ponytail, but again it’s not this gorgeously intact pony tail, it’s this super swiftly done one that has random strands coming out for which, Minnie tends to tame with headbands. When she does go out though, she leaves it all gorgeously loose.

Style of dress/typical outfit(s): Minnie is more of a comfort person when it comes to her style of dressing. Her clothing tends to be more on the simple side. She loves jeans, will happily place some on with a t-shirt and call it a day. She does love summer dresses too. Honestly, anything that makes her feel comfortable that’s what she likes. When she’s working though, she’s in scrubs so she’ll often be caught in that since she tends to work a lot.

Typical style of shoes: Anything that is flat!!! haha. Most of the time she’s in sneakers because of her job, but she loves flip-flops and sandals when she isn’t working and the weather is warm enough. She loves boots too, particularly her Uggs.

Health (is this person usually sick? or very resilient?): Minnie is pretty resilient. I think with working around the sick as much as she does it helped to strengthen her immune system. At the same time because she works nights and that screws the body up pretty badly she’s on top of taking vitamins and eating somewhat healthy so that it could make things easier for her.

Grooming (does she/he wear makeup? shower daily? wear only clean clothes? pluck her eyebrows?): When it comes to cleanliness Minnie is very clean. She like hand sanitizes every where she goes, and when she comes home from work in the morning she has this bin on the side of the door where she takes off her scrubs as she comes in and places it in there. All that is done so that she doesn’t bring in the germs from work and then she has to go take a shower hahaha. She isn’t hugely into make-up like at all and the most she really does is mascara and eye-liner. Sometimes lip stick.

Jewelry? Tattoos? Piercings?: The standard two piercings on her ears. Minnie does have her belly pierced as well. She currently doesn’t have any tattoos, but she wouldn’t be opposed to getting one in the future if she finds one she likes. When it comes to jewelry she just wears a necklace and stud earrings. With her line of work wearing gaudy type jewelry isn’t the best.

Accent?: A British accent. 

Unique mannerisms/physical habits (bites nails, talks with hands, taps feet when restless): When Minnie is nervous she bites the inside of her cheek. Tell her anything super sweet, compliment her, or make her embarrassed she instantly blushes. When she gets worried for some reason she becomes physically abusive hahaha nothing super horrible she just hits the person for making her worried. 

Athletic?: Ummm no not really. I mean she’s constantly on her feet for work and she works, over eight, twelve, even sometimes sixteen hour shifts. She also walks her cat, but other than that, that’s about as athletic as she really gets. 

INTELLECT

Level of education (high school drop out, undergrad BA/BS, PhD, MD, etc.): Minnie has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She got it from good ole Pride University. She knew what she wanted to be as soon as she enrolled. On top of her bachelor’s degree, she has gone through numerous certification programs so that she’s able to basically be floated to any unit available in the hospital.  

Level of self esteem: Uhhh probably half and half between a low self- esteem and a good self-esteem. Minnie at times can get insecure, jump to conclusions, not think she’s as good and as pretty as she actually is. At the same time, she knows she’s a great nurse and actually likes herself, so it really is like half and half.

Gifts/talents: Minnie is an awesome baker!!!!! And a cook too she’s cooks really good. She can sing as well (I hc she has Selena Gomez’s voice hahaha), but not many know that about her as she doesn’t go publicly singing around. 

Shortcomings: Let’s seeee she’s too nice. I know that doesn’t look like a short coming, but Minnie is the kind that will allow herself to get ran over if it means it benefits someone else. She would easily place herself last to help anyone and everybody. It’s hard for her to say no, because she always wants to be there for people, so often times people would abuse that sweetness. 

Style of speech (loud, mumbler, articulate, etc.): Soft and light. She’s not exactly like very articulate with her speech, unless explaining a procedure at work, or a course of treatment.

Past relationships: Ughhh Minnie has a shitty relationship history. Most of it consist of her being cheated on because once her boyfriends at the time realized how sweet she is they thought it easy to go right ahead and cheat. Her first serious boyfriend who she had fallen for, he had made a bet with his friends that he can take Minnie’s virginity. He did fucking ass-hole she gave it to him because she knew nothing about the bet. Eventually she found out and of course she ended up with a heart break. So yeah, Minnie has a horrible track record.  

A social person? (popular, loner, some close friends, makes friends and then quickly drops them): Minnie is such a social butterfly!!!!! She loves talking to people, would say hi to anyone, smile and laugh. Making friends is probably one of her favorite things to do. She just loves being around people.

Most comfortable around (person): She’s very comfortable around her co-workers, has a great friendship with Dr. Sweets. Minnie though is the most comfortable around Dodger.

Life goals: She kind of completed one. She became a nurse just like she has always wanted to be. She got out from under her Aunt and her husband’s roof which was something else she desperately wanted. She wouldn’t mind settling down in the future, find someone she’d love to spend all her time with. She’s a bit of a romantic like that. 

Dreams: Minnie kind of got her dream. She has always wanted to be a nurse and that’s exactly what she is. She pretty much wanted to help people, much like her dad did. 

Greatest fears: Constantly getting hurt because she has such a shitty relationship past. Her parents are already dead so there went that fear.

Most ashamed of: Hahahaha okay sooo one time, which was her first and last time, Minnie got like plastered drunk. She had gone out with some friends after a bad break up and they were all drinking. Well she got plastered drunk, and Minnie gets pretty flirty when she’s drunk. The next morning she finds herself in some random stranger’s house and realized she had a one night stand. Minnie has never gotten plastered drunk after that hahaha. 

Compulsions: Minnie practically has to hand sanitize where ever she goes. If she enters a place she quick hand sanitizes her hands, before she eats she washes them, any where new she takes out a hand sanitizer and sanitizes her hands. 

Obsessions: Pastries!!!!!!!!! Minnie will love you forever and a day if you give her a pastry!!!!! Any kind!!!!! You’ll have her jumping up and down with excitement.

Secret hobbies: Cooking and baking because Minnie loves doing both. She sings too so that can be another hobby for her.

Secret skills: Sooo Minnie is actually really good at picking locks looool. It was something she got taught back when she was in the foster care system.

9) What would cause your OC to chose to do something petty/pointlessly cruel?

Grillby: Whenever Asgore is involved XD ... seriously, Grillby is very unfair towards him most of the time...he TRIES to be nice. XD Also Grillby can be possessive of his family and friends and can act super petty if he gets triggered at that XD See how he got Fellby from his gang by just melting the door. XD Also his LOVE can make him act cruel and unfeeling but he got it on check right now. 

Fellby: He can be the KING of petty. XD Piss him of and he’ll get really really darn petty. XD Also he TRIES not to be cruel but sometime she is without meaning to... especially if emotions are involved.

Swabby: Swabby can be seriously petty and cruel if he gets pushed enough. He once got a royal guard to tears because tried to arrest Fellby when they were out on a family day. ... also Swabby’s parents are still a HUGE red button for Swabby and he gets really serious with pettiness if they are the topic on hand.

Sans: Needs a lot to make him actually act cruel or petty. But mess with his bros and you are toast.

Papyrus: LOOK AT HIS FACE IS THAT THE FACE OF SOMEBODY ABLE TO DO EVIL????

Saz: Mess with his bro and expect a week of hell following it. Or just a bone to the face right there and then. 

Parz: Similar to Saz, only up to 11. Parz can be the most pettiest thing on the planet if provoked.

Suny: He can be SUPER petty. Don’t mess with his brothers! Don’t even LOOK at them funny! Also nobody will ever believe you! 

Pyru: Well it takes a lot to get him to actually DO anything. He is pretty chill most of the time. But yeah mess with his family and you get something coming. Also don’t mess with the honey or little bees. He hates that.  

10) On a scale of “Complete and Justified nervous breakdown” to “Conquer The Entire Galaxy and become an Immortal God-Emperor”, how well would your OC handle being abducted by Aliens?

Grillby: He would just blink and calmly walk out. He got no time for this stupid stuff. He got a family to make dinner for! (nobody can stand in his way XD)

Fellby: Sigh deeply and demand child care because DAMNIT I GOT A TON OF KIDS HOME BECAUSE OF YOU! XDDDD but really, Fells would... NOT take this well. Full out panic. Fighting all the way. They would send them back pretty quickly. 

Swabby: Swabby would totally take over the ship. He REFUSES to be helpless in this! Might go well or might go wrong XD.

Sans: Eh, he would sleep through it all.

Papyrus: The aliens would bring him back and be super confused but apparently they all have been friendzoned by this skeleton?

Saz: He will be a MESS in this, he doesn’t deal well at ALL with being abducted. Might teleport out on accident. 

Parz: The aliens will notice very very quickly they made a terrible mistake. 

Suny: The ship won’t last an hour with Suny in there. XD

Pyru: He will just teleport out, this is way to freaky for him! XD  

15) How often does your OC “zone out” or do things on autopilot and how severe have the problems that have arisen from that been?

Grillby: Grills worry-cooks a lot. He produces a TON of food. Luckily except of belly arches nothing bad happened from that.

Fellby: He runs away a LOT on autopilot. It bit him in the ass a lot and hurt a lot of people over the years...

Swabby: Not much, mostly just cooking and cleaning, so not that much trouble.

Sans: Oooohh Sans got some bad habits. He teleports on autopilot, can lash out when coming out of a nightmare and does the motions of putting ketchup on everything even in his sleep. XD Can cause trouble but mostly for Sans himself.

Papyrus: The Great Papyrus doesn’t have any autopilot nonesense! XD

Saz: Saz zones out a LOT, even if you don’t count the instances where his narcolepsy just makes him fall asleep. There might have been some problems, like when he zones out and forgets something on the stove or time itself and is late for something. He got into trouble at school too (only a few times because the teacher know about his condition and are pretty nice about it and gently “wake” him if possible) Sometimes he also stims. It helps him calm and ground himself.  

Parz: He doesn’t do it often. Sometimes he zooms out when cooking and does everything on autopilot. So far nothing bad happened XD.

Suny: Eh, he doesn’t really zoom out, he is always zoomed in on everything! 

Pyru: If something bores him he zooms out and just goes like “Hm... okay...” at everything XD Got him into trouble some times over the years.  

20) What’s your OC smell like?  no, not that “Vanilla and Anxiety” evocative stuff, realistically.  Body odor? what have they been touching all day? When was thier last shower? Did they put on any kind of artificial scent?

Grillby: Burning wood, maybe also burning oil. Sometimes like the food he makes too XD

Fellby: He smells like something burning, maybe smoke (during the time he still does smoke) and leather (when he wears some).

Swabby: He always smells like sweets he makes, mostly caramel.

Sans: A mix of how carpet smells and maybe a hint of tomato.

Papyrus: Papyrus uses soap and sometimes perfume (or what he thinks is perfume) so he smells... colorful.

Saz: Sometimes like mustard, sometimes like... wet dog and candy.  

Parz: He bathes often enough and uses SENSIBLE smells to put on himself. He smells a bit like you think one of those men in magazines for fancy suits would smell.

Suny: Mostly wet dog, candy and wood. 

Pyru: Sometimes honey, sometimes more like the bottom of a trash can.
