some silly modern au headcanons that have been floating around in my brain lately! (some may become proper chapters in that fic):

they first hook up at some big conference in waterdeep. theres only one bed in the hotel and both of them indulge a little too much in the open bar at the place they're at. its a one time mistake until they wake up in the morning and do it again

rue actually gets on really well with karlach and despite the fact she signed an nda about her and gortash hooking up, karlach is the first to know ("please. you can do so much better. look at my friend wyll, he's cute and single and so much better than gortash" - karlach, moments later)

rue has broken into gortashs apartment many times before. he expects to see her there now and its weird when she isnt

gortash ends up picking rue up from various nights out with karlach & the gang after shes drank too much and drunk-called him, saying how she misses him (they saw each other hours ago) and how she wants to go home (and by home she means his place). he does so every time and gets vaguely threatened by karlach to keep her safe

rue posts a photo of her sitting opposite gortash in a fancy restaurant with the caption "first date kind of nervous" and immediately deletes it. fans go crazy

i like to think theres full on conspiracy theories about them being together or not. people are piecing together a timeline. others say it doesnt matter, hes only using her because his policies are so bad. a small group of people write fanfiction (rue sends them all to him because she thinks its funny)

she really eggs on their followers to think theres something there. posting pictures of her wearing his shirts. tagging him in videos of her walking around the city. asking people for reccommendations on good places for dates. its a blast. shes loving it

past admin here.. no longer running rps bc of the community. but i've ran a couple pretty big rps in the past couple years and i'll be honest, although i think it's slightly immature to close roleplays because of things people say on a gossip blog, i believe admins are just tired and most times the venting on blogs like this are just the cherry on top of everything they're already dealing with in the roleplay they are managing.

lets be real. admins are usually normal people just as you are, with jobs, possibly school, friends, and things to do outside of their rp life. most admins are also not full time HR reps or therapist. we are no better than you when it comes to finding out how to fix issues or resolve conflicts... member activity and facehogging has been an issue that not only i have seen in my rps but roleplays everywhere have and are currently experiencing. admins can only do SO much. they can't force activity without being called micromanagers and they cant change the activity requirements to be more engaging without being critizied about not being realistic for people with lives outside of rp.

theres issues regarding cliques. most times, the admins are so busy with admin shit that they don't see or notice the clique. from my past experiences as an admin, people would call anyone and anything a clique.

an example i used all the time .. because this is crazy... but back when i used to run a big rp. we got anon's complaining about a "🐻 squad" (changed the emoji for privacy reasons). when us as admins went in to look what that so called squad was, it was literally a member just referring to the people who emojied his post about playing a game later. we're adults, and it's embarrassing to see people talk as if they were excluses children when most of the time its a personal activity issue. if your muse isnt interacting with things on the feed, commenting on post, leaving emojis, talking in gc/ plotting with others, joining games/activities, or even doing events... theres obvious reasons why your muse feels left out. additionally, when a muse has a group of friends they have developed and feel close to, i personally see it as character development. these muses have spent enough time getting to know eachother to the point there they know they like to hangout and get along. as an admin, i've sent my muses to talk to the so called cliques that were in my roleplay to try and see how they would treat my muse and most times, the so called cliques were rather nice and inviting to my muse. making it rather hard to kick them.

we as admins can encourage but not force people out of their circles, we can not force people to answer dms, and we can not force people to write. the best we can do is attempt to remove them or close the roleplay completely.

when it comes to resolving conflicts, believe it or not its extremely hard for us. most times remember we are an outsider looking into the situation. and most times we are not given complete content. we unfortunately are reading screenshots without tone indicators or context. the best we can do is listen to both sides and hope we are making the best possible decision for the community. however. we can not remove muses from the rp because of a bad breakup or because they are upset with your muse. we can't kick people out because you both simply do not get along. the best we can do is ask that you both don't interact. i think the community has a hard time understanding this part. additionally, your issue with another member is not always highest priority for some admin teams, sometimes admin teams are talking for hours about how they want to handle a situation so expecting an immediate resolution to the situation or specific action in general is unrealistic.

adding to the unrealistic thing is expecting admins to be online 24/7. we need to sleep, eat, and do other things aside from just admining. we want to enjoy our muses as much as you guys do as well. we apologize if your cc request was not answered within 3-4 hours. remember admin teams will be online at some point in the day and often times will be in different timezones than your own. so be realistic and give admin teams 24-48 hours to respond to your message. admins are not slacking just because they want a moment to focus on themselves.

lastly, i realized rather quickly that this community does not like to follow or read rules almost at all. regardless of how we spin it 80% of the community skims through the rule page we work hard on creating to get the password for the application. how do i know yall dont read rules? because some of the shit being complained about on these blogs are things that have been blatantly stated in the rules that you guys have agreed to! dont join a roleplay if you dont agree with it's rules. simple. "admins are asking me to handle it myself." most rps open right now say in the rules that they will ask you to do that before coming to them. "this age gap rule is rediculous." most roleplays have these rules clear on their rule page. "well i didn't know you couldn't do that." yes you did, you agreed to the rules of the roleplay when you joined. don't act shocked or upset when we enforce the rules. and if you claim rules are hard to understand or need clarification, it takes nothing but 2 seconds to ask admins for clarification on a rule.

so yes, after dealing with these issues and more, seeing vent posts about our roleplays sometimes is the perfect cherry on top to call it a day and close the community. think of it as "why would we continue to put all this effort in if people are obviously unhappy with our work?". we work hard to manage things the best we can but we are only human and our judgements sometimes fail us. and getting critiqued is 100% okay but some of you guys on here write things so maliciously... i wonder if the admins had personally victimized you with the way yall write on here. rp is a hobby and at the end if the day if the honby is causing you more stress than happiness.. close/ leave your roleplay.

1- Their most visually striking feature

I think all of them have quite 'severe' features, the sort of sharpness and hardness to the face that comes from descending from fëanor that translates so well into people's memories as frightening. That and their glowing eyes. All of the calaquendi have those of course and I think that's probably pretty wild to witness. I think the eyes of Fëanor himself were much brighter than is normal to the point that by the time he died you could not see his pupils, but this was not something inherited by his sons because that was just his own personal insanity.

Everyone knows about Maedhros. Everything about Maedhros is striking. I mean look at him. *gestures at my imagination*

For Maglor, I think it's the length of his hair. I imagine this man with shampoo commercial hair. This just stunning jet black slick mane that trails basically all the way to the floor, it's longer than Fëanor's, which was also Very Long. It's not as noticable or remarked upon in Valinor because it was usually braided and it's somewhat normal in Valinor to have the luxury to maintain ultralong hair. This is not the case in Beleriand. I think over time he loses the motivation to do anything with his hair and it just hangs loose and ridiculously long and kind of unkempt. Cue guy walking sadly along beach with 7 feet of windswept tangled hair. Also I think he has really deep eye bags. He looks like he hasn't slept in 20 years . He kind of looks like Míriel.

14- Their favorite type of music

Well I must admit there are only so many types of music in first age Beleriand, though I suppose Valinor could have gotten pretty weird with it. Wish I could say something crazy like "electrofunk" but well they dont know what an electricity is.

I think Maglor has probably played every instrument known to society and plenty more, (except percussion which he always wants one of the brothers to accompany him with) but despite it the same personal style seems to come through to it. Some of the brothers love it and some of them I think have gotten a little tired of it.

Maedhros certainly prefers it. He's one of those guys who will wholeheartedly be like 'no one understands music except this guy right here.' The two of them have the Oldest Siblings bond because I think it was just the two of them for quite a while before the others came along.

Something that stands out about them is that none of the Fëanorians are very passionate about the Beautiful Choirs Of Valinor which everyone is always talking about (those being made up of Maiar). Pretty much every other high elf is like yeah thats the peak of music. Not the Fëanorians! They're Special. Maglor loves to say his favorite music is 'The Sounds The World Makes.' He would have loved to sample ambient nature noises and remix them but sadly none of that in ye olde middle earth. Celegorm and Curufin love very fast and upbeat stuff that gets you Pumped Up. they would love going to the gym /neg

Caranthir is an "I just don't really like music" guy all the way until he realizes he just sort of doesn't like the way elves make music. And I think the twins are also Maglor stans but somehow in an entirely different way than Maedhros is and they actually have arguments about what makes Maglor's music so top of the line.

OMG OKAY so like. i honestly.

the way i got into touhou was somehow, i ended up on the wiki , and then stayed on there until i went to bed in a trance @_@ LOL!!! (though, i like to bitch about the wiki...!!! its a good source for official material and translations, but as far as the way they describe characters and stuff...!! annoys me!)

touhou is 90% made by one guy, and the same guy, ZUN! other side games and manga are collaborated with other artists or people, but everything else is all him pretty much.

the thing about touhou is, theres a lot of official material, but theres also a lot of fan content so it may be easy to get confused. basically..

the main touhou games are the bullet hell games. vertical, shoot em up dodging craziness!! each game has the same base mechanics, but there are differences in gimmicks for each one (that are elaborated on within the games instructions, of course...)

the side touhou games sometimes are bullet games, but also can include fighting games too! i do not pay attention to these ones quite honestly. they can introduce new characters sometimes, but overall i just read the translation of the story if i want to learn more. these games i would say are not really important

finally, theres official manga too! like the side games, these also can introduce new characters. id say that these are pretty good if someone prefers to read manga. i know some of the manga are more plot heavy (i havent read all of them) but others could definitely be standalone, as things are more or less explained in the writing.

"okay but, what about the games?"

in the games, theres usually at least 2 playable characters to choose from. they have differing shots depending on who you pick, so play around and see who is best for you!

THE GAMES HAVE EASY MODE!!!! if you feel like normal mode is too hard, just play on easy!! it counts as beating the game all the same!!

Z is to shoot, arrow keys are to move, and X is to use your special! pressing shift goes into focus mode! you can see your hitbox and have a more focused and powerful shot, and you move slower!

also, once you lose all your lives you dont have to give up!! you can use "continues," which let you respawn again with the default number of lives so you can keep going. the amount of continues depends on the game, theres no shame in using them AT ALL especially when you are starting!!

zun's own advice is, "just play the most recent one" and i would say this isnt bad advice at all! however the 3 most recent touhou games (16, 17, and 18) all have gimmicks that may be a little crazy to start with for the first time! otherwise i REALLY love touhou 18 and touhou 17 right now!

this is generally why people seem to recommend touhou 7, Perfect Cherry Blossom, for new players, and that's what i started with too! its an old game, so there are some slight layout differences, but other than that its a pretty basic game! you can increase your amount of lives from the options menu, the gimmick of the game is almost unnoticible unless you know what it is beforehand, and isnt all that bad to play!

it does have difficulty spikes, but its more of a practice makes perfect thing. some games are harder than others. do your best!!!!

"but what is the plot?"

the plot changes on the game! however the basic premise is that there is Something going down, and Reimu (our main character) and her friends go out to solve this incident! the characters you fight along the way range from minimally involved to the masterminds of the whole plot! there are so many characters in touhou, theres one for everybody! and yes, it is 97% girlies #feminism

most of the characters are youkai, and several are kami (translated as gods), and anything in between. theres a lot of themes of spiritualism that inherently comes with such characters.

i should probably mention: there is NO official english translation for touhou games! with the sole exception of 17.5, everything is fan translated! the touhou translations are done with "thcrap" which then, when the program is run, will allow you to select which translation and which games to run!

just a little rant about my thoughts recently. and please dont try to change my mind. im autistic and i have a large sense of justice so its almost impossible to change my mind about things im very stubborn

of course, my rant is about trans men trying to claim the lesbian label. i want to be specific when i say trans MEN, not trans masc people, not “masculine-aligned”, not gender fluid or anything else. trans men that identify as men. and THEN try to claim to be a lesbian. listen, i am in no way advocating for those types of lesbians. the really weird terfy ones are bad. so terfy lesbians or whatever youre calling yourself that hate trans women i do not like you.

Anyways, its infuriating. How are you not disgusted by using the term lesbian as a man? how are you, as a trans man, comfortable in any way shape or form. you work so hard to fit in as a man, right? if you are a man in your head, why do you think a lesbian would be attracted to you? surely you KNOW they are not thinking of you as a man. ever. And, how are you even comfortable using the term that women and other non men carved out for themselves? how do you feel like you have the right to trample over everything like that as a man?

I genuinely do not care if you identified as a lesbian before you transitioned. That does not give you the right to infringe on that label that is not for you. I don’t care if you “have such a deep connection to the label” you are creepy. Can you imagine a cis man doing that? why are you any different? and dont even get me started with “sexuality and gender are not rigid” then dont use the terms when you mean something else??? along with “contradicting terms is what being queer is about” what?? that is literally not even true 😭😭 identifying as things out of spite of your OWN community is crazy. these peoples logic is so crazy. i want to open their skull and examine their brain to see how it works.

Contradicting terms were more popular in the past, with things like boy dyke or other examples i cannot remember right now (im sorry if that wasnt even right but you know what im talking about right) The community has obviously changed. And it’s definitely for the better. As it stands, the community has plenty of fighting as it is. There is nothing you lose from just admitting something that everyone else knows; Youre just straight.

This is just another stupid issue that can so easily be solved. If you are a man, cis or trans, doesn’t matter. You cannot be a lesbian. You can have a connection to past experiences when you identified as a girl. You can recognize its part of your upbringing and effected you as a person. That does not give you the right to infringe on the label.

The community has demonized the label Straight so much that their own men have cowarded in fear of it.

You can use the word straight. you are not any less part of this community, i promise. theres more to life than existing out of spite of your own siblings.

Im going to be honest, if you identify as a lesbian, no one will see you as a man.

Honestly, why is it always lesbians getting the butt end of everything? wheres all the trans women claiming to be gay? yeah i wonder.

birthday jully 13, the story of a man and his family Tokyo japan 2010-2024

This month on July 18 my 2nd son turning 12 years of age, I hope he, along with his brothers and mother and all their loved once, are doing great preparing for celebrations, as my first sons birthday is on July 24th and my youngest son Leo-Cosumo turning 8 on august 10th, less then month from now. In july 2020, myself and my wife decided to separate. I insisted on divorce various times during our conflictive uneasy relationship which became very apparent during year of 2020. I decided that is best that we separate, for at least short time, or even divorce , but at that time I did not know in Japan there is a tradition of Single custody law, meaning once upon the divorce, only one parent remaining as sole custodian, and in many cases , in 99% to be exact,  the kids stay with mother and father becomes deprived of the children, entirely or partially, depending on the decision of the custodian, in this case of my wife Akiko Trush. During late summer of 2020, precisely around these dates, 2020 being famous for the greatest corona crisis, I lost control of the situation and I moved to Hokaido to work. My family visited me in Hokaido in august , I sponsored their trip , spending around 300,000 jpy on the 5 days trip. During this period I was not sure If I could continue living the lie so I tried to remain in Hokaido for longer period,  but as time went by I started to go crazy, I realzed then that I cant live without the boys, when they departed Hokaido on August 19th, to return to Tokyo, I started crying as I saw them disappear into the gates;  at that moment I only remember that I have never felt so sad and lonely seeing my boys leave. While in Hokaido I started working as Uber delivery guy and as manager of a hostel, so I was working but  I tried to talk to my boys on the phone   but it was not easy as my younger son at that time was barely 4, phone calls were extremely rare and i could only hear them say one two words and disappear. In October I received a letter from my wife asking for divorce. At this point I realized tha this is the point of no return. Even though despite the fact that I was initially the one who insisted on divorce, I knew something smelling fishy, something isnt what it may or may be not.,. At that point I did not know again, what divorce means in terms of your right as a parent. Nevertheless, I started to oppose to the divorce, requesting her motives. Only today, Now after 4 years, I came to an understanding that divorce was an easy escape goat, it was a prompt fix, a solution to a problems that couples face when they get in such stage of a relationship. Mind you my dear, to comprehend one little but important asset,  I knew my wife since 2004. yes now exactly 20 years passed since we met. Going back to divorce, Her motives were not so clear but I got an idea. I was not good enough for her. I did not succeed as a business man, I was not a good father (according to her based on what she or her lawyer states in the court), and on top I was violent and abusive man,. I keep on asking myself once and so often, why to stay in a relationship with such piece of crap man like myself, have 3 beautiful boys and only after 15 years of living and breathing together, making music, building a future for a children, to begin being so ruthless? After being alone for 4 years now, as she took the boys and left the house in December of 2020, I had plenty of time to contemplate on the past, I realized one thing for sure, something went really wrong at one point of our relationship, and I did not manage to decipher and propose a treaty. Its hard to say now when my wife lost interest in being with me, but I am guessing it began in 2013-14. Here is a small fact about me, that I found out not too long ago, that I was extremely attracted to my wife, I was always desiring her and the more time passed the more I wanted to be next to her, in return all I got is a favor, so to speak. Later on she told me she aint my whore and I better go and find one. I wish I had this conversation recorded. I did not record much of what was happening between us all this years, but she did. May be it was all a script and I was just playing a role of sperm donor? I probably never find the true answer to this question. During our living together moments, I tried to avoid conflicts but on 2020 I faced with the dilemma- to be or not to be. I admit, at some point I crossed the line and I said too much... "that’s me in the corner That’s me in the spotlight Trying to keep up with you And I don’t know if I can do it, Oh no, I’ve said too much and I haven’t said enough" I spoke directly and I could not control my rage. as I recall, something in her attitude triggered the dark side of me. I still don’t comprehend fully if I was just being me or being a reflection of her. Mirror effect so to speak?. All I wished was probably to manifest my inner soul, to finally come and face the consequences of our wrongdoing. Yes not just mine but as a couple we must both take responsibilities for our actions.

The Stooges - Fun House

These feral little guys were just not content with how noisy their debut was and had to get noisier. Fun House aims to capture the live energy in the studio and it seems to have worked. Every crunchy nasty sound is perfectly preserved and the songs can get rambly in a way that feels very much like a live performance. There's more psychedelic peeking in during those lengthy jams, but there's also some delightful saxophone there as if imitating old school rock and roll as a joke. I love manic, noisy music so naturally I love Fun House.

Missy Elliott - Supa Dupa Fly

Its true, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott is in fact the bomb diggy. Her style of rapping is super casual and chill and it eases the transition from rapping to singing so well that you won't even notice it happening. Timbaland produces and he makes these groovy, psychedelic beats that match Missy's level of chill. But of course beneath the mellowness is a cool confidence. She isn't just here to be cool, she's also gonna let you know that she is top dog here. Both Missy and Timbaland had been around the music industry quite a bit before putting this record out and it shows. Most hip hop artists do not get this strong of a debut.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis: Bold As Love

What am I even supposed to say here? Axis: Bild As Love has some of the best guitarwork ever recorded. Obviously. Of course drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding are no slouches either. The Jimi Hendrix Experience was an incredibly tight trio. Where their debut was very heavy and energetic, this album leans slower and melodic. The most well remembered songs being the flowing delicate Little Wing and the fuzzy spacey If Six Was Nine. Scolars have studied this album up and down to analyze all of Hendrix' technique. These scholars need to spend more time listening to genuine garbage ass music and gain an appreciation for the artists that can't play like Hendrix, but I digress. It's a really beautiful album.

Bruce Springsteen - Darkness On The Edge Of Town

Springsteen's last two albums had been full of epic swells and street opera stories. Darkness On The Edge Of Town humanizes those epics. He leans more towards hard rock and a less theatric sound. The songs feature more mature and more broken protagonists than on Born To Run. It's a reminder that for everyone that escapes there are many more that never get out of their dead end life and those people still are gonna lead fulfilling lives no matter what.

Neil Young - After The Gold Rush

So after the overwhelming success of Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere with Crazy Horse and Déjà Vu with Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young naturally Neil Young decided to ditch 90% of his band and literally record an album in his basement. The only member of crazy hotse he brought along was guitarist Nils Lofgren who he had playing piano. This disastrous series of self sabotaging antics naturally led to... uh wait this album is really fucking good? I guess Neil Young can just do whatever the fuck he wants. Actually doing a raw and stripped down album with little of the rock accompaniement of his previous album or the lushness of CSNY was a brilliant move. After The Gold Rush isn't heavy, but it isnt soft either. Its rough and emotional. In the case of Southern Man it is outright bitter and the only rock song pn the album. The rest is very much country folk music.

Erykah Badu - Baduizm

The jazz influence, her voice, the subtle reference to Willow Weep For Me tucked in Appletree. It's clear that Erukah Badu knew she had the energy of a modern Billie Holiday. Despite being a clear exanple of neo soul the amount of jazz on display makes me want to also consider this an example of vocal jazz. As a mix of both styles it is completely beautiful. Badu delicately croaks through each track. The vocals lack of smoothness makes them so incredible against the walking bass and smooth synths. A completely stunning debut for a consistently amazing artist.

David Bowie - Hunky Dory

Bowie is at his highest levels of camp on Hunky Dory. Songs like Oh! You Pretty Things, Andy Warhol, or Kooks are so goofy that the only way they work is when sung completely sincerely. The laid back glam hits a perfect spot alongside mild psychedelia where you have some solid Bowie artistry with fairly accessible songs. Lyrically its all over the place, but Life On Mars is probably one of his most lyrically sound pieces. Hunky Dory kinda sits in this liminal space where it doesn't sound like a lot of things that came before or after it, but you can see echoes in both directions. This is probably as much a symptom of being from 71 as from Bowie's artistic influence but it still stands as a unique piece of art.

i shouldve let go from chip months ago, but here we are!!

ive been going through my old posts and found some art i reblogged from my friend - the spoon time diary post!! i saw how crazy i was going in the tags (because OH MY GOD ONE OF MY FUCKIGN BIGGEST INSPIRATIONS MENTIONED ME IN THE TAGS!!!* /POS) and it made me really happy seeing old me that happy.... but at the same time kinda sad, for many reasons. seeing how innocent and happier i was than i am now, seeing me and the others pre-modern-chip-fandom.... yknow. my chip special interest isnt as strong as it was back then now (which was bound to happen even before the modern fandom came along), and recently ive been craving those times back so i could stim to vosim art and songs that had vosim singing in it all over again.

um. what i typed down during my stim moments was nothing compared to how i was behind that computer screen. for example, when i saw that vosim and dee gijinka post and the vosim gijinka post back in march + april of last year, i literally couldnt look at it w/o feeling nervous + excited (/pos!!!). and like i said, the time i saw that spoon time diary post back in january of last year too. i was there running around the room, flapping my hands like mad to calm myself down, making my happy noises with tons and tons of animation ideas all coming to me in a nanosecond. the hansel cover. i stimmed so hard that day that i ended up with a nasty headache afterwards!!!! and it was all worth it!!! >:] does anyone else have this thing where they cant look at their hyperfix/special interest without getting nervous or excited?? its weird how that happens!!!

So, First Lady is looking wary of Keigo and often giving him the cold shoulder because it just sit doesn't right with her the way he constantly sings her praises, tries to follow her around the house, makes his dislike for Kai a little obvious, always tells her how he wishes to be a part of a family such as Dabi's and that he'd do anything for the sake of family.

Its weird, Keigo is weird. Now, reader doesnt want to be one of those bitch helicopter moms that stand in the way of their children's happiness, but Dabi looks so unbothered with how much Keigo hangs off his shoulder, and you don't like the crazy, almost cult worshipper type of look in Keigo's eyes every time he sees you.

You want to talk to Kai about it, but you feel it'd be in vain since your husband has been constantly trying to get your kids out of the house. Himiko doesn't like commitment so she goes through a lot of guys, saying she'll let them know when she finds "the one". Tomura doesn't leave his room often, so its hard for him to get dates. You and Kai have definitely tried to fix him up with someone, but they more often than not end up taking advantage of Tomura's wealth. Not to mention, Tomura has indicated quite a few times that he's not really interested in leaving you. And Dabi? He's always been a playboy, so its nice to see him get a s/o, but there's just way too many red flags about Keigo, that Dabi (or anyone else for that matter) isnt willing to see.

Maybe you're just going crazy. Kai does have that effect on people.

For now, all you can do is keep an eye out for Keigo, try to make Dabi understand why you don't like Keigo, make Tomura go on dates, ask Himiko if she uses protection, and make Kai use protection because you're too tired to cater to his breeding kink.
