overthinking the order in which the horcruxes were made and hidden
#the diadem was before the war spun up#the locket and cup were acquired at the same time (before hiding the diadem?)#but as we know the locket wasn't HIDDEN for a while#why not? was he waiting to turn it into a horcrux?#and when was the diary?#because in the past i've assumed it was early#something easy and accessible#but it's also weaponized in a way that some of the others aren't#which suggests it wasn't the first one#so maybe the gaunt ring was first - family heirloom#we know he had it very early on#like in order of ACQUISITION it would be diary (presumably) then ring then diadem then cup and locket#but the diary was hidden around the same time as the cup#which must have been late because he had death eaters to hand them to#unlike when he hid the diadem#hm i think i'll go with ring diadem cup diary locket for order of creation#the hiding order can be similar
