“Well!” She announces, standing up from her seat, “It’s been great to see you both face-to-face again!”

Ceroba nods politely, tucking her chair back against the table. She places her utensils on top of her plate with a soft clink. With much less grace, Starlo gets up and rounds the corner. He flashes a cheeky grin at Martlet before grabbing her in a side hug and ruffling her hair with force. 

“Hey!” She yelps, beating her wings at him fiercely as he bellows out a laugh. 

She’s laughing too, even if she’s trying real hard to hide it. Starlo eventually relents, but not before taking a round of feathers to the face. Thoroughly ruffled, Martlet bounds forward and gives Ceroba a quick hug as well. 

That means it’s probably just about your cue. You hop off of your seat just in time for Starlo to swipe you up on his shoulders. You let out a hoot that he joins you in as the girls shake their heads at you both. You don’t mind at all because you know they’re just playing. Mood light, you snag Star’s hat from his head and toss it on top of Ceroba’s. He flashes you a look from above his glasses and you shrug like you weren’t the one who did it at all! 

“Alright, little buddy,” He chuckles, “We don’t wanna keep Feathers from her workin’.”
