You and the Bride were sitting under one of the large trees in the palace garden, drinking a stolen bottle of whiskey as you watched the sun rise.

"This is... nice." She said quietly. The silence in the garden was peaceful, but she felt like you could hear her heart pounding with anxiety. She had never gotten close to anyone since... well since Victor. She knows now that their relationship wasn't the most ideal, but it was the only time he ever felt cared for. Until now.

You leaned your head against her shoulder, taking in a deep breath of the morning air. "Yeah, it is."

You looked up at her with half lidded eyes. "Thanks for coming out here with me. I never have anyone to watch the sunrise with, I'm glad I have someone else who can appreciate the view."

She looked down at you, admiring the shine in your eyes as you watched the sun rise over the hills. "Yeah... the view is nice..."

You looked up at her once again, find her eyes locked onto you. Heat rode to your cheeks, you couldn't help but smile a little as you looked down in embarrassment. Bride slipped her finger under your chin, ushering you to look back at her. When your eyes finally locked, she felt her body cave in. It was like all sense screaming at her not to let you get close just silenced themselves when they saw the love-sick look on your face. She couldn't hold back any longer; her hand dragged up from your chin to cupping the side of your jaw, she brought you close her, but she stopped.

She opened her eyes, looking at you for assurance. She was not about to force you into anything like she had been in the past. Your eyebrows scrunched together in confusion, when you opened your eyes and saw the look on her face, it took every restraint you had not to chuckle at her politeness. You grabbed the sides of her face and pulled her into you, your lips were on fire as they locked onto hers. She was shocked at first, but relaxed into the kiss. She got a little too relaxed, leaning into you even more until you lost your balance. She broke the kiss in a panic, instinctively cradling your head as you both hit the ground.

You chuckled. "Got a little excited there, huh?"

She buried her head in the crib if you're neck in embarrassment, her grip around you tightening slightly. You slowly began to leave small kisses on her shoulder and across her arm, leaving a trail of goosebumps behind. She slowly lifted her head, looking down at you, her smudged lipstick and disheveled hair was probably the most attractive thing you ever seen.

"I can get used to this sight..." She mumbled as her eyes scanned every inch of you. You smiled softly as your hand reached up to hold her head, she kept her eyes on you as she laid kisses on your palm. She drew her kisses from your palm, done your arm, and across your chest. As she made her way up your neck, leaving bruises and bite marks across your skin, she took one last look at you before she went for you lips.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY BRIDE!"

The two of you shot up, looking for the source of the raging voice. Before you could even stand up, you were swept up off the ground and tossed to the side like a piece of litter. You were sent into a coughing fit as your back hit the ground. You quickly regained your comp sure and charged for the burley man who had attacked you.

"My Bride!" Eric cried. "Oh how I missed-" Her leather heel met the side of his face. Bride was sent into a fit of murderous rage; not only because Eric returned again, but because he had the audacity to attack you.

You ran to her as she tried to fight off Eric's advances.

"Bride!" You called. When you finally got her, you couldn't help but check her for injuries. "Are you okay?"

"Am I okay?!" She exclaimed, holding the sides of your head. "Are you okay?"

You held her hands against your head and smiled. "I'm okay, love. I'm okay." She let out a breath as she nodded, silently reassuring herself that you were okay.

"What is HAPPENING?!" Eric cried from the ground in front of you, the stitching in his face slowly peeling off from the Bride's attacks. "Why are you coddling this woman?!"

Bride scowled as she pulled you behind her, shielding you from any potential attacks. "She mine. And I'm her's, so back. Off."

"Yours? Her's?! Are you telling me your a lesbian now?! That's not possible!" He cried, going in his arms dramatically to the side. His glare turned you. "This is your fault! You are like Shane!"

"Um... Who?"

He groaned his distress. "Shane?! From The L Word?! The best representation of lesbians in a television show?!"

You shrugged. "I wouldn't say the best-"

Bride clenched her fist at his use if the slur towards you, you had to keep a gentle hand in her to prevent her from going ballistic.

"Of course sge belongs to me, she was made for me! So give. Her. Back!" He charged at you with his arms out and ready to attack.

Bride quickly jumped in front of you, guarding you from him. She grabbed the bolts in the side of his neck, and threw him to the ground. His back hit the gate of the garden, crashing through the metal bars and tumbling down the hill with rods stuck inside of him.

"Holy shit, that guy is insane. Have you really been dealing with-" You were cut off my Bride's lips latching onto yours. She slipped her tongue in, exploring the inside of your mouth as her hand slipped down to your waist, pulling you closer against her. After what felt like hours, she slowly pulled back and rested her head against yours as you both caught your breath.

"Thank you..." She said softly.

You smiled, still in a daze from her kiss. "For what?"

She shook her head and shrugged. "For being you. For standing up to him for me, for putting yourself in harm's way for me."

Your wrapped your arms around her neck and pulled her closer, if that was even possible. "I'd do anything for you, Bee."

She pulled back slightly, a look if shock filled her eyes at the sound of the little nickname you had given her. She was always called "The Bride", even her name was attached to the man who ruined her life. It was small, and it wasn't too creative, but it meant so much to her. She smiled brightly before she went back in for a sweet kiss.

I don’t have any mutuals on twitter who really care about The Penguin and we all know twitter is terrible for getting your posts to the people who want to see them so I’m gonna talk about The Penguin over here because omgggg episode 4 is crazy!!! Spoilers for The Penguin up to episode 4 under the cut!!

Okay so not to be an Oswald apologist because let’s get this straight with the context that I’m first and foremost a Sofia falcone truther BUT.

I really don’t think Oz meant for any of that to happen to Sofia. Oz probably couldn’t have known the full extent of what Carmine did to those women since he’s just Sofia’s driver and I don’t believe Sofia shared any of her suspicions about her mom with Oz, so I think Oz was afraid that when Carmine inevitably caught wind of what Sofia was toying with that he’d end up taking the fall for her and his head would be on the chopping block. Think about it, what was Carmine going to do? Kill his daughter that he loves? That he wants to take over the family business? No. But she could be punished, her driver is pretty expendable.

Oz tried to talk to her in the car and she basically told him to shut up and know his place because he’s just her driver which I think hurt his ego and that also contributes to why he told Carmine. He seems to have thought they were friends or at the very least that she respected him. I think after she refused to listen he got scared and went into cockroach survival mode which is a pretty consistent character trait from him throughout the reevesverse (and really all Oswald cobblepots)

I think it’s also fairly telling that he didn’t sign any of the papers calling her insane despite being around her CONSTANTLY and being a prime witness. He should have stuck his neck out and vouched for her but how could he? He sees what Carmine is framing her for, how ruthless he’s being to his own daughter? No. If there’s one thing about Oz it’s that he’s a survivor.

Now this absolutely doesn’t excuse what he did to Sofia in the present day, he’s a pussy for that how do you fumble a bad bitch like that!!

Also while we’re at it I do want to expand more on the cockroach survival mode thing Oz seems to do because I find it reallllly interesting!! I’m not entirely sure everything he does is manipulation (some of it obviously is, like playing both sides with the falcones and maronis) but instead I think it’s like a knee jerk reaction/compulsion. Like how in episode 3 Oz is very friendly with Victor and tells him he shouldn’t be ashamed to take up space! His disability doesn’t mean it’s okay for people to put him down! Paying him well and trusting him! And then immediately when he feels threatened and afraid he might lose Victor as a trusted employee he throws it all back in his face and hits him where it hurts saying exaaaactly the right things to make him feel small? I think he does this almost instinctively without thinking it through, which I really do find interesting about him and I haven’t seen anyone else talk about so maybe I’m reading too much into it idk. Maybe I’m reading too much into all of this. I just like to think about my favorite shows and characters a lot!!

A/N: idk about you but I ain't never seen a graveyard right beside a church... 💀So, I decided to replace it with a garden instead, hope you don't mind it!

It had been a long time since you had thought about it—too long. The soft buzz of excitement that ran through your veins as you stood at the gate of the church reminded you of the past you had left behind. It wasn’t something you had intentionally hidden from the brothers, but you hadn’t made any romantic moves on anyone since arriving in the Devildom. You didn’t know why, but now that you stood on the threshold of the familiar old church, it all seemed so clear again.

The brothers were patiently waiting in the garden, unsure of why you'd chosen this particular spot. A place so tied to your past, a place they had no connection to—how could they? Demons weren’t exactly welcome in such sanctified places. Asmo was the only one who felt some fleeting sense of envy, his fingers brushing over the stone wall that separated the garden from the church itself. "It’s so… beautiful," he mused, trying to make out the intricate details of the church's stained-glass windows.

"I don't like this place," Leviathan grumbled, his arms crossed as he shifted uncomfortably. "Churches give me the creeps. I mean, it's just… weird, right?"

"Says the guy who spends all his time in a digital world," Mammon shot back, earning a snort from Levi. "Whatever. I don't get it either."

Lucifer stood by the garden gate, arms folded with his usual composed demeanor, though his sharp eyes never left the church's entrance. "Let MC have their moment," he said coolly, but there was an edge of concern in his voice. He was always protective of you, especially after your many months of silence on the matter of your past. But he, like the rest of them, had no idea what had kept you so distant.

As you turned to face the brothers before walking through the church doors, they gave you warm, encouraging smiles. "Don't take too long, okay?" Beel said softly. "We’ll wait for you."

You nodded and smiled back, though you were already feeling a bit nervous. There was no reason to hide your past anymore, not when it felt like something had been buried deep inside you for so long.

Pushing the heavy door open, the cool air of the church washed over you, and as you stepped forward, a familiar face appeared before you. A soft gasp escaped your lips as a tall, handsome man, wearing the simple but elegant robes of a vicar, stepped into your path.

"MC, is that you?" His voice was deep and smooth, and you barely had time to register the warmth in his gaze before he pulled you into a tight embrace. His lips brushed against your forehead, your cheek, his arms holding you with a tenderness you hadn’t felt in so long. His touch was nothing like the hardness of the demons. No, this was the touch of someone you had loved once. Someone who had loved you.

You felt yourself melt into the hug before pulling back slightly. "Victor?" Your voice trembled as you looked into his warm eyes. You hadn’t seen him in years, not since... well, not since everything fell apart between you two.

A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he gently cupped your face. "I thought I’d never see you again," he said, brushing a thumb over your cheek in the same way he always used to when you were married. "But here you are. I missed you."

Outside, the brothers were all trying their best to remain composed, but none of them could deny the unexpected wave of confusion, curiosity, and even… jealousy that began to ripple through them.

"What the hell’s going on?" Satan was the first to speak, his voice a mix of anger and frustration.

"I don't know, but I’m not feeling great about this," Mammon admitted, his hands on his hips as he stared into the church.

Inside, the vicar—your ex-husband, Victor—gently guided you to a pew and sat beside you. "I’m so glad to see you," he murmured, his fingers still tracing soft patterns over your hand. "I’ve heard of all the wonderful things you’ve been doing, but why the church?" His voice lowered, almost shy. "You’ve never been one to be fond of places like this."

You hesitated, looking down at your lap. "It’s... something I needed to face. A part of me I forgot about." You took a deep breath, then finally met his eyes again. "Victor... I’ve missed you too. I just didn’t know how to move on."

Before he could respond, there was a soft knock at the door, and you both turned to see the brothers standing at the threshold. Their eyes were wide, but they didn’t dare step forward.

Lucifer’s gaze locked with yours, and the protective aura around him became even more evident. "Who is this?" he asked coldly, his eyes narrowing at Victor.

"Ah, so these are your… friends?" Victor smiled softly at them, clearly aware of their identities. "I’m Victor, her husband. We were married many years ago, before we... lost contact."

The brothers froze, a mixture of disbelief and something darker flashing across their expressions. Leviathan, still processing the new information, was the first to speak up. "You were... married? Why didn’t you say anything? You never mentioned him."

You shifted uncomfortably. "I wasn’t sure how to. I didn’t even think about it until now."

Belphie narrowed his eyes. "So you’ve been hiding a handsome ex-husband all this time?"

You chuckled softly, feeling both awkward and relieved. "It’s not like I was hiding him on purpose. I just... never felt the need to talk about it."

Beel took a step forward, his voice gentle. "It’s okay. If you needed time, that’s fine."

Victor stood up, extending a hand to the brothers. "I know it may seem surprising, but it’s in the past now. They're in good hands, aren't they?"

As you sat there, surrounded by the brothers and your past, you realized that maybe it was time to let them into more of your history—especially now that they were a part of your future.

The tension that had been hanging in the air shifted, the brothers slowly realizing that your past wasn’t something to be afraid of, but something that had shaped who you were. Even if they were jealous, they couldn’t fault you for having loved someone before them.

Based on what you read about them?

1) Harriet Hook was barely mentioned at all in the books from what I remember, but I do like all the fanon about her being one of the oldest VKs & sort of a universal mom-friend on the Isle. I also love the HC that she’s taller than Harry & I like to picture her ragging him about it a little lol. I see her as being a tough sort of figure that demands respect but does genuinely look out for especially the younger kids on the Isle & is thus widely known & loved by VKs; she may have only played a small role in most of their lives but it was a good one. She can & will take on physical challenges on the behalf of others, altho most would step down if this happens. She’d never admit out loud how much she cares about people. She’ll tease her siblings & basically lives on her ship as soon as she’s old enough, but she is always there for them when they need her & anyone who talks shit about them where she can hear about it isn’t walking away without a bruise (or a talking to, when they’re too young to fight). However, she also knows enough to know when to let people handle their own battles, her siblings included. She knows how things work on the Isle all too well.

2. I know absolutely nothing about Li’l, if he was mentioned in canon I don’t remember where. I’ve seen some posts by @lilikohirukoma talk about him & I’m gonna default to those bc tbh for a while I thought he was somebody’s OC. I picture him being a lot younger than Lonnie, in the age where he still thinks his older sister is super cool (inevitably he will go thru the phase of thinking she’s too lame to be associated with before realizing she’s actually cool when they’re both older) & idk if that’s accurate to either canon or common fanon

3. Claudine Frollo shouldn’t exist I feel so bad for her. Who gave the disney villain who comes closest to being a s*x offender a daughter. Oh no. I really really hope she’s okay & Frollo just is strict with her upbringing in terms of moral righteousness & he never did anything worse to her than he already did to Quasimodo. If I’m being generous I can imagine Disney Frollo having some of the good characteristics of Victor Hugo’s Frollo & thus the potential to be a good parent but Disney Frollo is genuinely so much worse & less complex than OG Novel Frollo. All of the bad things without the compassion to have adopted Quasimodo willingly. Anyway this ended up being not as much about Claudine but basically if Frollo was a not-as-bad-as-he-could’ve-been parent I can see Claudine being quiet & largely isolated but kind of haughty & internally judgmental of her peers with a sense of moral superiority, and if Frollo was Irredeemably Bad I still seeing her being quiet & externally the same but coming more from a place of protecting herself, esp if she grew up being indoctrinated not to trust anyone but Frollo. Bc that’s exactly how he raised Quasi. Quasi did turn out well after all, so I have hope that she could have an abundant inner world and a lot to offer anyone who can get thru her shell & connect with her.

I don’t remember Claudine appearing much in canon but I had a very strong HOND phase so a lot of this is mostly based on that

4) Anthony Tremaine seems like a fun character from what I remember—cocky enough to ask Mal for a dance when everyone else in their class is afraid of her. I think he knows what he’s good at and knew in that moment he caught her off balance, but would also know enough to stay out of her way in a different situation. Gonna take the chance to give my thoughts in general on this. It's not so much that I don't want to write a book about him it's more that I think it's nearly impossible to write anything that passes for a real book and not just as...booklet...about him. First of all, I started this whole things to satisfy my own curiosity. Because of that there's a lot of stuff I don't have the sources for anymore and I also talked to/interviewed a lot of people (some have passed in the meantime) but never asked if they allowed me to publish what they wrote me. So, that's a whole can of worms. Then there's the simple fact that I wouldn't be able to offer the kind of insight you'd expect from a biography. I know that there's an audience for such a book, not a huge one but it exists (I also know a publisher who wants a book about him and who had hired three writers already in the past, they all gave up because of the lack of info...). From what I've seen online people would be most interested in his sex life and the behind the scenes of his career, especially regarding Batman and such. I can mostly offer brief, educated guesses in those departments. I doubt that besides me anyone will get a kick out of stories about Victor's dogs, his love for Shakespeare and little anecdotes on how fucking nice he was.

Also, his nephew already wrote a book about him/their family (idk if he still intends to officially publish it in book form but he publicly published it as a video series) and given how open he was with me (he said me interviewing him in 2017 kicked that project off) I don't want to rain on his parade. Because I do see a few things different from him and it's also hella awkward to write about an actor you can only write about as a fan, because you were born when they were already dead, but a close relative of them, who knows you too, reads it??!? Nightmare. I would love to proofread his book through (I noticed some details are wrong and he sometimes misses context, which I have) and contribute in that way to a book on Victor.

Another thing is I would also want to showcase all the photos of him I've found to show what he looked like and was like off screen. I know regular people have usually no idea that he often would look quite different and how changeable he actually was. But again, don't see how I would be able to get and afford all the rights.

And lastly: My lack of writing skill. German is my mother tongue and I don't think I'm a good writer and I don't have a very extensive vocabulary in English. It only makes sense to publish such a book in English though. To offer something of quality I would need professional help, which I wouldn't be able to pay.

And I nearly forgot, I have no idea if I could write about him in a way where it isn't obvious I have a massive crush on him. :/

Just remembered I never actually posted my headcanons about Bilal and Romane's future timeline kids. Anyways. I have headcanons about Bilal and Romane's future timeline kids.

Okay, their scenes are blurry. But! After rewatching closely, it looks like:

Two kids. One girl and one boy. The girl looks a little older than the boy.

So. On to the actual headcanons:

Romane thought of the name for their first child. A lot of grief that she thought she had already processed had resurged with the realization that their lives were about to change, and her mom, their friends, and her sister wouldn't be there for it. And she didn't want to directly name this kid after anyone she had lost; it wouldn't have felt fair. To the baby, to her loved ones, to anyone. But maybe something more subtle. Some way to remember someone. She ended up suggesting Vivienne. (Victor and Vanessa both started with a "v", so having the same first letter was kind of a subtle memorial to both of them, while still making sure the lines between past and present were clear.) Bilal thought it was a good idea, too, so they went with it.

So, Vivienne, Bilal and Romane's eldest daughter. Headcanons for her:

A little over a year older than her brother.

Autistic.

This kid has main character syndrome the likes of which you've never seen before.

Went through a phase of wanting to be a mad scientist, so Bilal got her one of those science experiment kits for kids. She loved it, and did all the experiments within three days.

She's a Lemony Snicket kid. Camille sent her A Series of Unfortunate Events for her birthday one year, and she was hooked. She's based her entire personality off of those books.

She can cook eggs. Nothing else, absolutely not. But she can cook eggs.

She's convinced everything is a conspiracy, a mystery to be solved. Her questions range from normal kid stuff - "Can you actually prove I wasn't switched at birth? Where's the certificate? I bet I'm long lost triplets with [unrelated classmates who have a similar hair color, but otherwise look nothing like her or each other.]" to questions that Romane would really like her to stop asking - "What actually happened to Dad? I think you're lying. Where does that key go to? Mom, why won't you tell me anything?"

On that note. Bilal, Romane, and Sofia all agreed to tell Vivienne and her brother about the time travel eventually. Before Bilal went back, he wrote each of his kids a letter explaining it. Romane is keeping the letters until Vivienne is fifteen and her brother is fourteen; that's what they all agreed on.

Vivienne ends up figuring out parts of what happened before that. Just how much she figures out and what she does with that information, that all depends on the timeline. (I did have an AU where canon-timeline Victor and Romane didn't succeed in time traveling, but the bunker ends up basically overlapping between dimensions, allowing them to meet Vivienne, who is in there for. some reason. idk. it's a vague concept.)

Okay, I know I said I had headcanons about both kids. I lied. Just the older one. I don't even have a name for the second. Sorry to disappoint.

Why does every show have to be big and complex? Why does every show have to be realistic, AND relatable to everyone? Why does every show have to have tragedy and angst and endless heartache? Why does every show have to have endless sex? Is it not enough for the show to be sweet and kind and optimistic and bright and cheerful and cute?

So here’s the thing.

The loudest fan discourse regularly exhausts me, but something I’ve found very interesting to see over various social media platforms is that the most vocal supporters of each “team” seem to think that the show is favouring the other side. Plenty of self-proclaimed Team Green who calls the show pro-Black, talking about how they’re making Rhaenyra way too sympathetic, and plenty of Team Black who do the same but for Alicent. I’ve also seen them talk about how the show chooses not to have the characters do certain things that were in the book and they’re usually disappointed their faves (or the ones they hate) are getting painted in a more sympathetic (or less sympathetic) light. I find that thoroughly fascinating, and at the same time I can’t help but ask myself - wasn’t this the point? 

HOTD is an adaption. However, it is slightly unique as an adaption in that it is based on an in-universe history accounts. The show-creators’ job is not just to go through the text as it is and pick which account is the most likely and then adapt that - which is what I feel that certain fans have expected them to do. It is to see past that. They’ve said it in several interviews, but their mission is to look at this “historical” text and not only say “there are unreliable narrators with stories that contradict” but also to see it for what it is: history written by men - and by victors, by clergy, by gossipers, by people in power, etc. And to look at the text through that lens and ask themselves: who could the real people behind these descriptions have been? What kind of person could this man or woman actually have been to make historians describe them like this? Was it an exaggeration? Was it a simplification? Was someone trying to villainize or sanatize or make a cautionary tale? Were they trying to set an example? Was it a straight up lie? Was it true but twisted?

Anyone who goes at the text with that kind of analysis is of course going to come away with different interpretations. That’s part of the game. But that’s true for real life as well. We can look at the figures of our history and try to imagine who they were as people. We can get clues through letters and contemporary accounts. But we can never know. 

I think that’s what’s caused some book fans to be unhappy. They had their own interpretation of who the characters behind the historical accounts were. And sometimes those characters that they imagined were exactly like the accounts described. They picked an account and deemed that to be the most trustworthy and now they’re upset that the characters they’ve imagined are not the ones being portrayed on screen. However, I don’t see that as a falling with the show. I see it as one of its greatest strengths. I’m not saying it’s above criticism, even criticism of adaptational choices. But I think some of the criticism that is presented as objective, in a way, is instead highly subjective and not necessarily what would have made the best television. 

The thing is, I see a lot of people saying that the characters aren’t grey enough. Idk if it’s just me, but I think we’re still stuck in this moralistic thinking when we talk about characters being “grey”, even as it tries to put shades into black and white. What I’m seeing is a tv show that portrays people. And they’re portraying people very well. People who do good things, who love each other, and those people being the same people who also commit heinous acts and hurt each other terribly. I see a show that is making a very good attempt at explaining why people in these situations would act like this - especially women. “I want both sides to be portrayed as equally wrong” - but even in the source material there were glimpses of another story behind. I’m just surprised that so few people who talk so loudly seem to ask themselves “what could have been the purpose of portraying this woman in history as power hungry” and just decided to go with it instead. Not because there haven’t been power-hungry women in history- there definitely has - but because the history writing is specifically what this show wants to examine. Of course they’re going to problematize it. The show has taken that story and made it fundamentally about gender and power structures and generational trauma. If your “grey characters” stop being grey to you the moment they do an act that you see as good or an act you see as bad and that completely flips the switch for you, then we have very different definitions of a so called “grey character”. 

All these people (who I know are probably quite a small part of the fanbase) are so vocally upset about characters being given more sympathetic portrayals than they think they “deserve”, or characters turning out to be shittier people due to their circumstances than fans would want, that they have to set it out as their mission to try and ruin it for others who are enjoying it, and that is where I think the real shame is. I suppose I just can’t relate to that way of looking at it. Though fans rewriting the narrative of the show and the text even when it’s presented to us, I suppose is the most predictable and poetically ironic way this could all play out. Life imitates art as it imitates life, and all that.

Wednesday is my favorite character hands down. I love how she doesn’t feel the need to change anything about herself for anyone, and people still gravitate towards her regardless. A level of confidence we could all use. she’s also not heartless at all. She could be mean, pessimistic, and blindsided sometimes, but she genuinely cares about people. plus her lil one liners had me dying and her dance was the best thing i’ve seen all year.

Thing is a close second. the LOYALTY. one couldn’t ask for a better friend.

Enid is so sweet. i thought she was gonna be annoying, but this was a pleasant surprise. her and wednesday juxtapose each other nicely. i would like them together, but i don’t ship them yet sry😬. speaking of ships—

Tyler and Xavier are both mediocre at BEST. what do people see in them?? I mean, what do we like about them???? in fact, what DIFFERENCE would it make?! Like i would feel the same whether she got with tyler or xavier it makes no difference to me.

You just had to keep everything hidden for a little while longer. You woke Izuku up with kisses and a plate of his favorite breakfast. He’d always loved pancakes but for whatever reason, he loved your waffles. Izuku could eat them for dinner if you’d let him. He smiled and ate his food, gushing about how he’s finally 21. 

“I can drink with you now, Y/N.” He said with a mouthful of waffles. You grinned and kissed him on the cheek as he ate. “So, what are we doing today?” He asked. Even though today was his birthday, the hero still had to work. 

“Oh.. uhm.. well.” You struggle to tell Midoriya that you had “nothing planned” knowing that he’d be hurt by that. 

“Maybe we could just go out to the bar and have a few drinks?” You lie, wincing at the upcoming disappointment in his voice. He nodded with a weak smile, trying not to seem too disappointed at the lazy plans. But he was grateful anyways and kind of excited to see the bar scene. After eating his birthday breakfast, he stood up from the bed and got ready for the day. While he was in the bathroom you text the mass group chat with the entire class in it named “Operation Deku Day!” Mina had already been messaging you all throughout the morning reminding everyone that the party starts at 9 pm; right when Izuku is expected to be home. 

“So what kind of cake does he like? I’m at the bakery right now.” Todoroki texts followed by an image of the options of cake the menu had. 

“Get him chocolate.” You text, giggling at the plan all coming together nicely. You wait for a response while looking at all the gifs and memes everyone’s sending sharing the same excitement for the party.

“Cool. I’ll have them decorate it and drop it off at your place, Y/N. Just let me know when Midoriya leaves.” Shoto texts back, you responding with an Ok and answering any questions about the party from the others. 

“Your phone’s going off a lot today, Y/N. Who are you talking to?” Izuku asks, his hips adorning a towel as he just got out of the shower. You look his wet body up and down, almost forgetting to respond to the question before he gets too curious.

“OH! Uh, It’s just the girls. Yaoyorozu wished you a happy birthday.” You laugh nervously, clearly awful at keeping secrets. Izuku just smiles and tells you to tell her he said thank you and got dressed in his hero costume. 

“Well, I’m off. I love you Y/N. I’ll see you later tonight.” Izuku says giving you a small peck on the lips as he leaves your shared apartment. You wave goodbye as he shuts the door and jumped up from your bed, texting the group chat

 “THE EAGLE HAS LEFT THE NEST. OPERATION DEKU DAY IS AGO.” 

Momo, Mina and Uraraka spend all day decorating the house and setting the ambiance for the party. Todoroki brought the cake and put it in the fridge and starting making a small ice sculpture in the shape of All Might for the spiked punch he made (He was known for making a good cocktail). Kyoka made a playlist for the party, she was the DJ afterall. She tweaked the stereo so the sound system would be JUMPIN and laughed maniacally as she knew she was gonna rock the fucking house down. Katsuki insisted on cooking since “You can’t cook half as good as he can.” Or at least that’s what Katsuki said. He handed a hot dish of buffalo chicken dip (my favorite) to Mineta, who insisted on helping with... idk something.

“It’s hot on the bottom, idiot. If you drop my dip I’m gonna drop my fucking fist down your throat.” Bakugo shouts, making Mineta nervous as he walks carefully with the dish. Sero and Yaoyorozu were putting the finishing touches on the decorations as you check the clock on your phone. Shit. It was 8:59. You see a text you received from Izuku 30 minutes ago saying he was on his way home and another from just now saying he’s coming upstairs. You squeal and start panicking. He was probably already on your floor. 

“Everybody ready? Izuku’s home!” You yell over everyone’s excited chatter. Everyone replied in a harmonious yes and took their places. You run towards the door and adjust your strapless dress, turning off the lights. You stand behind the houseplant by the door and almost squeal in excitement as you hear the door click unlocked. 

“Y/N?” You hear Izuku say nervously as he turned on the lights. He gasps as everyone jumps out from their hiding places and yell 

“SURPISE!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZUKU!” 

He smiles brightly and grabs you, giving you the biggest hug while lifting you off your feet. 

“Wow, thanks everyone!” He says excitedly, looking around the room to see all his friends. He became a little emotional knowing that you all went through the trouble of planning a surprise birthday party for him. You wipe his tears and give him a big fat kiss, earning an excited spin from him. 

“We love you Izuku. Now, let’s enjoy your party!” You said as you let him to the delicious spread of food to start Izuku off. Kyoko started the music and danced along to the beat to get everyone to join in on the fun. Mina pulled Uraraka towards the living to dance with her as she waved Asui over to join in. Shoto manned the punch bowl, serving everyone with a half smile hoping they like his punch. Midoriya walks over to grab a plate of food from Katsuki.

“Yo, Ka-Chan!” He yelled over the music. Bakugo smirks and gives the birthday boy his plate. They chat over the food and laugh together as they have a good time in each other’s company. Katsuki seemed to cease the usual teasing, just for this one special night. You giggle and run over to the dancefloor with your cup of punch in toe. You drink and dance at the same time, spilling a little bit of punch as it ran down your chin. Mina laughs and takes your hands dancing along to the beat with you. The night was young and the party was a success. You were just glad Midoriya seemed to be having a great time. 

Drink after drink you feel yourself get extremely tipsy, stumbling around with a drunk Mina and Asui. Uraraka had passed out on the couch from all the drinking and dancing. Even Momo was drunk, creating a phone to drunkenly call in some pizza since there was no more of the food Katsuki made. It was 1 am and everyone was still partying like there was no tomorrow. Including Midoriya. You had never seen this shy boy act so boldy and confidently. It was kind of a turn on. He was in a chug contest with Bakugo, seeing who out of them both could drink the most drinks the fastest. He wanted to celebrate his victory the right way; with a kiss from his girlfriend who was looking sexier than usual tonight. hi!! okay 😭 i feel like this is kinda . a complex and nuanced question to tackle . i'm going to try my best to answer this to my best of abilities sorry if it ends up not making sense 😭 (and it might be really wrong)

first i want to preface this first as i am not north american indigenous. i am south american indigenous (more specifically k'iche) so when i wrote the kaia post i made sure to clarify it because there are some aspects of kaia's character that i am not informed enough about. (like specifically dreamwalking i understand the cultural significance but its not something im well informed in as a south anerican native)

so, i wasn't actually the first person to speak out about kaia. it was a north american indigenous person who got a lot of hate for it. because they were able to i guess necessary "spot" the racist stereotypes more as it relates to them if that makes sense?

like dark place kaia never really sat. well with me and i wasn't entirely able to pinpoint it but after their post i realized why because she was. really playing into the "savage" indigenous person stereotype. like with that spear :/ now this is something i guess im able to like . grasp as it relates to my own experiences and growing up hearing about how white people talk about the "savage mayan people who are cannibals and eat hearts" bullshit.

(i promise ill make sense soon 😭) so like. idk i like try to be attuned to racist stereotypical characters i guess. like characters like kaia whose just totally built on racist stereotypes that if u take them away she's basically someone else. i just like i havent necessarily seen other bloggers of color speak out against certain supernatural characters and call for people to not make content if i make sense. like for example, i know some of my asians friends speak out against dean's "busty asian beauties" racist fetish. i would never create content that includes it because its not my place to even touch that. (and sadly theres a lot of non-asian creators who include busty asian beauties in their fics)

but, like if im making any sense if a black blogger were to speak out and say "hey please dont make content of this character because of the hurtful racial stereotypes" (or just any blogger of color for their specific culture) i would listen . (also like if there r posts abt any characters like that out there i loved for it to be sent my way)

sorry this is becoming really long 😭 but essentially its like. im south american indigenous i really feel i cant speak for like other characters of color in spn because like . i dont feel its my place to deem what is hurtful for other people of color. i just know kaia is a hurtful character and i don't want to see her content by white creators. if that makes sense?

but yeah i'm also latino and like the only latinos i can think about in supernatural canon are i believe the brazilian characters from the "fat spa" epsiode and i believe a creator already spoke out about why they're problematic. and i doubt anyone really makes content abt them. but also cesar cuevas who i love because hello! gay latino (points at myself) but i haven't watched the episode in a while so he might be problematic too 😔 like there's a severe lack of latine characters but i don't find cesar to be racist (as of now) so i wouldn't say fans don't write this character ya know?

its very hard to get my thoughts together on this one. super sorry i just find it very complex to answer. another part of why i'm like don't make kaia content i feel is like . take victor for example, correct me if i'm wrong but he's not built off of racist stereotypes. but supernatural chose to kill him off. like they killed off the few black representation on the show which is racist in itself. so of course it's like a circumstance where racism happened but its not because of the character vs kaia who is built off of racist stereotypes. of course supernatural also like attempted to kill her off so double whammy. (but shes not even good representation in the first place) does this make sense? 😅 i hope it does fhjfjf

also, i just reread question noticed the part about other racist stereotypes but like. yeah if a person of color from a different culture then mine calls for a certain character to not have content be made of them like i said, i will not continue doing so! but also i just only interact with like . castiel content at this point 😭 and i feel like at least in kaia's case since she's apart of a wlw ship shes more often than not involved in a lot of content compared to other characters who might be racist stereotypes? like i just see more of her content because well. fans are more focused on destiel sometimes
