pure speculation taking many things for granted. the reason why he would still have the gun is because he wanted to use it again and it wasn't easy to make so it was too valuable to future plans to lose. the reason why he would make a gun instead of simply buying one is because he didn't want to get caught. so he kept it in anticipation of 1. making further use of it and 2. not getting apprehended and searched. honestly i think the plan just really fell apart in a lot of ways.
#we don't know this yet and possibly never will but i think he was just kind of cocky 🥲#like i'll never get over pulling his mask down in new york#that's what made all this possible i fear#it's such a bold decision making your own gun here when you can also just. steal a gun.#like it takes someone really full of themselves to make that decision and to then pull it off and actually 3d print a fucking gun#but then you pull your mask down to talk to a receptionist!!!! i would die. if that was me i would die.#but if this was meant to be a one and done he would've walked into a gun store and been like hello i want a gun please ✌️😄📸#so yeah. that's why he still had the gun i bet#he wasn't done with it#and thought he could still follow through#adam yaps

peter ❣️💙 : angel
peter ❣️💙 : babe
peter ❣️💙 : baby
peter ❣️💙 : open ur window please 🙏
you glanced at the pouring rain outside of your window, then back at your phone.
y/n : are u crazy
peter ❣️💙 : absolutely !!!
peter ❣️💙 : please please please please pleaseeeeeee
y/n : fiiiiineeeee
you throw off your blanket, immediately getting hit with a wave of cold air. you mentally curse your boyfriend of three months, best friend of years, for making you get up out of your cozy bed.
you move towards your window, squinting to see through the rain, and see a soaking wet spiderman standing on the fire escape.
he waves and points at the window. you roll your eyes and push the glass up, leaving to grab a towel for him as he climbs inside. when you turn back to hand him the towel, you see him pull his mask off and shake his hair out like a dog.
"hi," he says happily, grinning at you. you throw the towel at him, laughing.
"hi," you reply, sitting back down on your bed. peter dries his hair with the towel, then moves to your closet, where you had stashed away some extra clothes for him to wear on days like this.
he throws the towel over his shoulder as he moves aside your sweaters and shirts to find a pair of sweatpants and an oversized "i ❤️ nyc" shirt. you lay on your stomach and scroll on your phone, trying to decide on a movie.
you feel the bed dip beside you and you turn to see your boyfriend smiling at you. "you're so pretty," he says.
"says you," you reply as he wraps an arm around you and kisses your cheek.
"you are!" he protests.
you shake your head, laughing. "okay, buddy," you remark.
he kisses your cheek again. you roll over so you're facing him, and kiss his nose. you end up falling asleep, some chick flick you found on netflix playing softly in the background.
a few hours later, you wake up to a cold bed. you roll over, groaning, to see peter hurriedly putting his spider-suit back on.
he notices you awake and starts quickly explaining, something about a bank and a robbery. you get up out of bed and kiss him in an attempt to shut him up.
his hands immediately drop his mask and go to your waist. his kisses are always the same, sweet and loving. after a few seconds, he pulls away. "im sorry," he apologizes, leaning back down to pick up his mask.
"it's fine," you wave it off, moving behind him to zip up his suit. he turns his face, a slightly guilty look on his face.
he kisses your cheek and moves towards the window. crouched on the sill, he shoots a web out.
"hey." you say, stopping him.
"hm?" he turns, mask half on his face.
"be safe." you walk over and kiss his nose. taking a deep breath, you say the words that have been caught in your throat for what feels like the past thousand years. "i love you."
from what you can see of his face, his cheeks turn pink. "really? i- oh, uh, that's great! i mean- shit," he stammers. "i love you too."
you laugh at his response. "go save new york, spiderman. i'll be waiting."
he nods, pulling his mask fully over his grinning face. as he swings away, you hear him yell, "I LOVE YOU Y/N!!" he disappears over the rooftops, in the direction of wailing sirens, and you laugh quietly to yourself.
"i love you too, peter."

SWEET LIKE CANDY - ETHAN LANDRY 18+
minors DNI!
You just wanted some time to yourself, not knowing the masked killer was getting off to you from outside your apartment window…
ᴄᴏɴᴛᴇɴᴛ ɪɴᴄʟᴜᴅᴇꜱ: SMUT, P in V sex, vibrator, fingering, slight degrading kink, overstimulation!!
This is my first time putting up something on tumbler! Hope you enjoy!!
<3
<3
<3
You danced around with your friends, enjoying the moment of freedom. You were all caught up in classes, you had good grades and of course, your apartment was shiny and clean. You felt good, the one time you actually wanted to come to a party it was for something you were interested in.
You've always loved Halloween, you had a interest in horror. Especially the Stab movies, but the candy and getting to dress up in a tiny outfit made the holiday that much more enjoyable. You pulled up your small top, your cleavage exposed as you grinned on your friend jokingly.
"Hey! My friend here, total snack right?" You glanced at the boy in the box-like hat, an awkward smile on his face. "Yea, what's your name?" You walked up to him in a sultry way, your words dragging by the amount of alcohol in your system. "Ethan...Landry" "Oh! You're in my Econ class, the awkward cutie" Chad's smile was off the charts, Ethan's hands shaky as you went to ask him for his phone, typing in your number.
"Well E, I'll see you around" You handed him back his phone with a side smirk, going back into your group of friends. The night gave you a rush, the taste of alcohol you had indulged in still on your lips as you walked home.
You took off your heels, reaching your apartment. You started to strip, it wasn't like anyone was in here with you, or so you'd thought. You were careless wandering in your apartment, tits out in your little pair of pink, silky shorts. Ethan was hard under the black cloak, the ghost face masked murderer just out of your sight.
You felt goosebumps on your skin, feeling a sense of danger. You shook it off, turning up the temperature in the Cold, New York Apartment. Ethan's eyes wandered over you, wanting to take his mask off to admire you fully. He had to hold back, to hide his identity and the fact that he had become obsessed with you in a matter of seconds.
You were gorgeous to him, long hair and perky little henti tits that made him hard. He wondered what they would look like as you bounced on his cock, overstimulated by the hot pleasure.
He still remembered your scent, getting off to something similar as soon as he got home. "Oh my god Ethan! Stop being a pervert. Dad wants to talk" Quinn groaned from outside the door. But he didn't stop, he didn't care. His mind was flooded with thoughts of you, your boobs, and how good your ass looked in that short skirt.
He wanted more of you, he wanted you. The memories weren't enough. He was yearning for your touch. Your hands around his base as you pumped up and down, he could picture it already.
You cleaned up the kitchen, picking up your thrown Halloween costume into the bag to wash it later. You hugged your body, warmth, and smooth skin tingling. Your drunken state made your mind cloudy, picturing yourself doing the things you'd never admit to.
You had some toys, a vibrator, small to bigger dildos. You could never actually find someone good enough to lose your virginity to. So while you waited you learned, where it felt good. How to play with yourself. If no one was gonna make you feel pleasure then might as well do it yourself.
You unplugged a charging toy, it was your favorite. It could make you cum over and over. You underestimated the power of the small device. It had a couple of settings, controlled by a remote that you've almost broken hundreds of times from holding onto it so tightly. It made your legs shake and your back arch, you had a thing for being overstimulated so this was just the thing.
You slipped it inside of you, teasing your clit with spit covered fingers. You shuddered against your own touch, relaxing deeper into the cushion. You had a routine, mostly teasing yourself until you had to cum, only to put it back on the lowest setting as your weeping hole begged for more.
You started with the medium setting, feeling the vibrations through your entire body. You felt weird about your surroundings, not caring as ghost face casually watched you through the small sliver of your apartment window. He thought going in was too obvious. And he wanted to see your body shaking as it came before he did anything to you.
He palmed himself, melting at every small noise and whimper that came from your lips. He wanted to break in, help you cum for hours. Multiple rounds as he made you bleed. You crying for his cock as he choked the fuck out of you, your pussy throbbing as he thrusted.
You were now at the highest setting, your legs shaking at the shocks of pleasure. It was like a pulse, your body jolting at every beat. He took this as the perfect opportunity, not allowing you to finish as the phone rang. “You-you have to be kidding me” you groaned, the vibrator off as the knot in your stomach undid itself.
You were frustrated, picking up your phone angrily. “Hello?” “Well hello Y/n, how has your night been?” You froze. That god damn voice modulator. “This isn’t funny” you knew Tara and Sam, but you never thought you were in close enough range to them to be killed off by ghost face. “I’m not trying to be funny-“ he took a breath before continuing to talk. Your naked body frozen in place. “Are you having fun? You seemed frustrated when you didn’t get to cum”
Your heart dropped, covering your chest with a large shirt on the side of your bed. “Where are you? What do you want?” Your breath hitched, waiting for a response. “I wanted to see you cum…too bad I called right?” You put on your clothes quickly, a pathetic laugh coming from your phone.
“I’ve been watching you this whole time. You can undress yourself again. You look so pretty shaking like that. Making me hard” you heard a groan, your chest rising up realizing that ghost face was probably getting off to you getting off this entire time.
“Who are you?” You hummed, only for your question to be answered with low whimpers. You asked again, this time the call cutting off. You heard a loud bang, a gunshot going off and ghost face walked into your bed room. “I- please” he loved hearing you beg, pushing you up against the wall with a large knife in his hands.
He pressed it up against your neck, your legs trembling but in a different way. “Who- who the fuck are you? What did I even do?” You pleaded. “Please, I’ll do anything” your breaths were heavy, you were in survival mode. Anything you had to do to stay alive you would do it. Even if that meant getting on your knees for the masked killer.
“Take it off” his knife made a slit in your shirt, your arms shaking as you slid it off your body. “You take something off now” you spit bitterly, a chuckle coming from him before he pulled the mask off from over his head. You gasped, “Ethan?” He dropped the knife, pushing his lips onto yours harshly so you couldn’t pull away, your only option to kiss him back and feel his hard cock rub against your sensitive clit.
You let out a small groan, his lips on your neck as you struggled to let out your thoughts. “How? What?” He shushed you, finding the sweet spot on your neck that made your knees weak. “Let me fuck you, please” he whimpered against your neck. His hands on your sides as his hair tickled your chin.
His cock rubbed against your pleading pussy, feeling your clit get wet. “Let me take these off” he slashed the crotch, slashing not only your shorts but your panties too, ripping the fabric off with a hard tug.
You were completely naked now, his hands getting closer to your arousal. You wanted him so badly, but you couldn’t admit it. He was a killer. He hurt your friends. But he didn’t want to hurt you, so how should you really feel in this situation? He took his gloves off, shoving them into your mouth as he fingered your clit, feeling your wetness on his thumb.
Your eyebrows furrowed together as he slipped a finger in you, slowly pulling in and out. He took his time, admiring your facial expressions of impatience, only then adding another. His pace was the same, making your walls clench around him. He knew you wanted more, you just didn’t want to ask. “Tell me if you want it faster” you could feel his breath on your neck, breathing heavily with a nod. “Tell me Y/n, beg you bitch”
“Please, please…oh fuck, faster” “what a good girl, telling me just how you want it” he shoved in a thirds finger making you jolt, his hand pumping in and out of you at an absurd speed. Your mouth was open, loud moans escaping as you watched his fingers pump into you. You felt that tie in your stomach come back, so close to snapping. His hand was removed from your side, slowing down his fingers and bringing his attention to your clit.
It was a mix of delicious pain and pleasure, your head pushed back against the wall as you felt your own start a pattern of opening and closing around his fingers. “I’m gonna..fuck” “Uh uh, not yet baby” you bit down on your lip, unable to hold it in, feeling a warm, sticky sensation in between your legs. “I didn’t say you could cum, y/n” he pushed you into the wall, holding one of your legs up with his hand.
He got on his knees, kitten licking your clit before making a bold stripe with his tongue, swallowing all your juices. “Taste yourself, baby” he stuck his cum covered finger in your mouth. The taste of tangy sweetness covering your tongue before he went in to kiss you.
He placed kisses on your collar bone, biting and licking all over your body. His hand massaged your tit as he sucked on the other one like it was a lollipop. He kissed it, licking your nipple and sucking on it till he could feel you harden in his warm mouth. You collapsed against his touch, wrapping your legs around his waist before he brought you over to the bed.
Your mind was foggy and clouded, eyes coming back into position from being rolled into the back of your head. In a quick motion you flipped. Now on top of Ethan. “I want you to ride me” your head traveled backwards, hands messing with his belt as he took off the long black cloak. “Maybe if your pussy is good I won’t kill you” he rocked his hips up, allowing you to fully pull off his pants.
You reached into his boxers, his cock twitching at the warmth of your hand. Ethan’s eyes were closed as you pulled his dick out, waiting for you to get on top. But instead you wanted to make him beg. Just like he made you. You spit on him, rubbing it on his lower stomach all the way up to the tip of his cock. You licked off his pre-cum. Making him curse lightly under his breath. “Suck it, slut” you tapped his tip against your tongue. Tasting him as you popped him into your mouth slowly. You did tricks with your tongue, circling it around his tip before letting it hit the back of your throat. You could feel his veins on your lips, craving the same feeling on your other pair.
Your head bopped up and down, gagging on his thick cock that you were addicted too. He grabbed your hair, holding it up for you but also letting it control how deep it went into your throat. You sucked all of the air from your cheeks, the feeling of just your wet mouth and teeth on his dick. You licked a bold stripe just like he did to you, placing yourself on top of him but not sitting down just yet.
Your head was down, Ethan looking at you with list filled eyes as you dragged his tip against your opening, the feeling of his wet skin against your clit making you shudder. He was tired of your bull shit, pushing down on your shoulders so you would take all of him. You let out a soft gasp, Ethan’s whimpers turning you in even more. Your hips swayed forwards and backwards, not letting yourself bounce just yet. “Please, god y/n please just fuck me already” a smirk was placed on your mouth as you tucked your hair behind your ears. Letting him watch you hop off his dick painfully slowly before sitting back on him in a hard motion.
Your hair tickled your back as you bounced. His eyes taking in every movement and his ears picking up on every groan and moan you had let out. You eventually started to feel tired, Ethan thrusting his hips into you so you could both finish at the same time. You helped balance yourself with one hand, all your hair flipping that way. A sight That brought Ethan to his knees. Your legs shook together, moans and pleads filling the room as the bed creaked.
“You’re fucking me so..so good ,baby…such a good boy aren’t you?” You bit your lip as he quickened his pace, your cunt aching and your lip bleeding from the pleasure. You felt the tie in your stomach finally snap, a ring of cum coated the base of Ethan’s dick as he continued to thrust into you. His legs gave out as he slowed down. The feeling of hot cum shooting into your pussy.
He continued to thrust, overstimulating the both of you. You were cock drunk, mind cloudy as he kept thrusting. “E..Ethan, it’s..it’s sensitive” your mouth was still wide open as he thrusted, turning you into missionary position, his cock perfectly hitting your G-spot. “Ethan…E stop” your hand was placed against his toned chest. But he didn’t care. As much as the red pain took over him it was worth seeing you beg for him to stop, making you pass out against the bedsheets.
He pulled out of you, the sight of your creamed pussy and his swollen tip driving him crazy. He leaned over to you as you caught your breath. Placing kisses on your jaw and closed eyes, watching your body regain its composure. “You looked so beautiful tonight, baby” he kissed your lips with a sweet voice.

Peter Parker | Snow Storm
*•.¸♡Request: hello! can i please request ps4 peter fluff? maybe just peter coming back from a long night of patrolling and being really needy and tired <3
*•.¸♡Prompts: none
*•.¸♡Warnings: none
*•.¸♡Paring: ps4 Peter Parker x GN!reader
*•.¸♡Summary: Peter comes back from a night on patrol in the middle of winter. (This is straight up fluff)
*•.¸♡Words: 784
You raced around your small New York apart. Winter has surged through New York like it was intent on ruining your happiness and warmth. The heaters were broken, thank the landlord for that, and the small heat van had fallen from its place on your desk and broken against the hard floor in your hurried search. Search for what exactly? Peters's extra large black hoodie with a small spider symbol on the back, which you would never let him live down.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, you found the hoodie in the stash of clothes you had stored in case Peter had decided to swing by. Just as you pulled the hoodie over your head your phone buzzed, its light shining through the darkness of your apartment. As you unlocked your phone you smiled softly, Peter's picture popping up in your messages.
Is your window unlocked?
It can be
PLEWASDE ITRS FREEZIUNG!!
ARE YOU SWINING AND TEXTING
IKLL BE OVER IN 5
You rolled your eyes and opened the latch to your apartment window before walking to the kitchen and putting a dozen pizza scrolls in the oven. As you walked back to the living area as Peter landed on the fire escape with a groan. He slipped through the window and flung his mask off. "Hello, hi, yes, you can kick me for this later," Peter rambled as he wrapped his arms around your shoulders. You squealed as the cold of his suit chilled through the hoodie and your now freezing cheeks.
"Peter! Peter, you're freezing!"
"But you're so warm!" Peter ducked his head and pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
"Go have a shower you creepy bug," You hissed, slipping from Peter's arms. "Get warm!" Peter groaned and threw his head back. "I'll set up a movie, I already have food on."
"You're the best," Peter cooed before turning towards the hall.
"Uh, Peter. Mask." Peter paused to grab the mask that he stuck to the side of the window sill before locking the window and rushing to the bathroom.
Ten minutes later you had set up the living room, most of your night had been spent on the couch with Peter anyway so most of the pillows were out there.
The living room was arranged to create the ultimate movie-watching experience. The centrepiece of the room was a plush, oversized sofa, adorned with soft throw pillows in mostly black and blues shades. In front of the sofa, a sleek and modern entertainment centre stood proudly, housing a large high-definition television. Netflix already set up on the movies section, the remote tossed thrown onto the table in between.
The small coffee table was placed within arm's reach of the sofa, holding the pizza rolls and whatever else you had found in the pantry. A bowl of freshly popped popcorn, still warm and smelling of salty butter, was surrounded by an array of snacks and hot chocolate.
As you set up to sink into the sofa Peter hopped over the back of the couch, stealing your spot. One of the hot chocolates almost split but Peter quickly caught it. "Hey-"
Peter pulled you down into the couch, your chest falling against his as your legs kicked up over the arm of the couch. "Hello to you too." Peter laughed and in a moment of pure affection, his eyes met yours. With gentle anticipation, his lips drew closer, the world around you both fading into the background. Time seemed to stand still as their hearts beat in synchrony, brimming with tender emotions.
Peter's lips finally met yours in a soft, delicate kiss, a sweet connection that sent sparks of warmth and joy coursing through your bodies. It was a gentle caress, filled with tenderness and an undeniable sense of belonging. In that fleeting instant, everything else ceased to exist, and their love spoke volumes in the quiet language of that sweet, innocent kiss.
Slowly Peter drew back, but still closer enough that his nose brushed against your forehead as he pressed a quick peck to your skin. "Tough night?" You asked softly, your hands coming up to trace a small cut above his eyebrows that had already healed to a small mark.
"Just long," Peter complained, his head dropping onto yours. "Evey second mission Yuri sent me on was on the other side of the city. I spent most of the night swinging in the freezing snowstorm."
"Well now..." You pulled yourself closer to Peter so you could curl against his chest. "You can just relax and watch The Princess Bride."
"We watch that every time," Peter complained, his head falling back against the couch.
"You can choose next."

𝐌𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐡𝐞𝐦
Before we get started, just letting you know that the pictures above are done by me, and their screenshots from the show/episode to fit the scene that Adriaen is in.
Feel free to draw Adriaen yourself based on the episode and I might even feature it in a future chapter!
People have voted and it appears you guys want to see this fic on Tumblr too, so I'll be posting the chapters every day or so until we're caught up with the fic on quotev since its more ahead in chapters at the moment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New York City, where the people never sleep, and crime rates are high. Although despite the New York reputation, there is one thing that not many people know about the city…
It was currently night, but who could tell when the tall buildings were blinding the streets with lights. The rooftops on the other hand, not many could see up there, making it the perfect place to keep to the shadows.
Across from the Molina Tower was what appeared to be a party on a rooftop of an apartment complex. Upon the party were guests dressed in fancy clothing and in the middle of the roof was a short stubby man, guarded by two bodyguards who stood on either end of the long table. One of the guests, a young man with long blonde hair tied in a ponytail and dawned a red suit appears in front of the shorter male with a brief case in hand. The man tosses the briefcase onto the table where multiple bodyguards lined up behind the short man who smiled proudly.
The other guy pulls open the briefcase to reveals stacks of money that could make anyone rich, in fact it even made the stubby man laugh in utter delightfulness.
Unaware of what was above and behind them, atop of the roof spire, are four figures, keeping to the shadows. They began to leap off the tower and landed on the ledges of the Molina Tower. The figure on the far left swings what appeared to be a mechanical staff, as they aimed their staff and a grapple cable shoots ahead, clinging to a metal beam on a building on the other side of the rich man’s party. The other end of the staff is attached to the other end of the cable to the wall next to the figures.
“Yellow submarine, are we clear?” One of the mystery figures spoke into a communicator where a female voice replied shortly after his question.
“Affirmative, Red Rover.”
“Copy.” The voice belonging to “Red Rover” turns to the others with him with a nod, “Right, boys, it’s go time.” He stated, where in an instant they all attach clamps to the cable and begin sliding across. Below them, the rich man is still laughing. The leader in front of the sliding figures holds up his hand as a signal.
To what was looking like the crew going to jump down and crash the party, they had instead zipped right by and headed towards another rooftop that had a pool visible. The leader pointed down, signally for them to detach from the cable. Listening to the unspoken instructions, the four all jump from the cable. Then from the shadows reveal four mutant turtles.
“Cow-“
Leonardo, who everyone calls him by Leo, is a lean mutant red-eared turtle with lime green skin, a golden mustard-yellow plastron, and a blue-green carapace with red markings over his eyes and the sides of his face, yellow marks on his upper arms and thighs, three fingers on each hand and two toes on each foot. He wears a long-tailed mask over his eyes, navy blue fingerless gloves (with blue trim) that extend nearly to his elbows and matching toeless socks that rise to mid-calf. He also wears a blue belt and strap over his right shoulder, with blue pouches on the belt and a Turtle emblem on the strap.
“Ah-“
Michelangelo, also known as Mikey, is a bright cheerful ornate box turtle with teal green skin, yellow-orange circles painted on his shoulders and thighs, a bright yellow plastron with neon pink and blue lightning bolt stickers on it, and a navy teal carapace with yellow-orange designs. A small gap on the right side of his upper jaw, with an orange mask over his eyes—with short mask tails— orange wristbands and colour-matching socks and orange knee pads with faces drawn on them—a dead face on the right and a smiley face on the left—.
He also wears a light brown belt around his chest and strap over his right shoulder, as well as a Turtle emblem over his heart.
“Bun-“
Donatello, who everyone calls Donnie, is a spiny softshell turtle with jade green skin with purple pixel designs on his upper arms and thighs, a light brown plastron, and a dark brown and green carapace. The bumps of his spine can also be seen from underneath his carapace. His greatest appearance would be the pair of black eyebrows that are drawn from his purple mask that pulls over the top of his head with short square-cut mask tails, silver convertible goggles with a red and blue lens, and a purple battle shell that fits over his real shell.
He also wears purple fingerless gloves with matching socks on his feet, a silver tech-gauntlet with a blue touchscreen, purple elbow and knee pads, and a purple belt with color-matching pouches and Turtle emblem.
“Ga!”
Raphael, A.K.A. Raph, is the largest of the four, a big and muscular alligator snapping turtle, with bright green skin, a yellow-orange plastron with a jagged top edge and a spiked dark green carapace. He also has small spikes protruding from his shoulders, a small sharp tooth hanging from his upper right jaw; He wore a red mask that covers the top of his head— with long jagged mask tails about the same length as Leo's—, red elbow pads with a large spike at the joint, off-white bandages around his wrists, hands and ankles, and small bandages on his right side of his plastron and left forearm.
He also wears red boxer-briefs and a red belt with a turtle emblem.
With a giant splash they land in the pool safely, but the water flies up in a huge jet. A young dark skin girl with red glasses, who wore a green jacket and a yellow dress underneath, her name being April, yells triumphantly and holds out her phone only to be drenched in water.
“Woohoo!”
Once the water had cleared, the four mutant turtles began to dance and whoop in the now empty pool. “Ha! You must be this rad to ride that ride.” Mikey smirks in pride, pointing towards himself at their achievement.
Donnie walks over, using his electric wristband to collect some data as he types away on it. “Well, based on our velocity and entry angle…I concur. We rad.” He assured, holding two of his three fingers in a “cool” pose.
April looks down at the group with a satisfied expression. “You guys crushed it. Gimme five! Or three.” She praised as everyone leaps out the empty pool.
“Couldn’t have done it without you, April. Our girl with the plan.” Raph praises their human friend who nods along in agreement, a sigh from the shadows was heard as well as a voice of what sounded a guy with an unimpressed tone speaks up.
”Or the keys to the roof.”
Everyone turns to see another mutant turtle, holding up the keys in one hand as his other hand rested on his hip comfortably.
This turtle is Adriaen, a lean mutant painted turtle with olive green skin, a light brown plastron, and black markings on his face near his cheeks. He also has black and yellow triangular shaped stripes on his upper arms, as well a pair of black splotches on his shoulders. Like the others he’s got three fingers on each hand and two toes on each foot. He wears a long black coloured tailed mask over his eyes. On wrists he’s dons navy blue wristbands.
On his plastron he has two golden coloured markings, one near the upper left side edge and the other near the lower right side of the edge. Among what else he wears, he’s got black coloured toeless socks with silver trimmings in the middle that spiral down, the socks rise to his mid-calf.
He also wears a black strap over his right shoulder, with two other straps going in different directions across his chest. On the strap had the Turtle emblem.
Leo perked up at the sight of Adriaen and walks over with confidence as he slides right up next to Adriaen and leaned his arm on his shoulder.
”So, what do you think about my landing? 10/10? Amazing? Spectacular?!”
Leo began to list of the positives as Adriaen casually cut him off bluntly. “It was pointless to be honest. I don’t see why you guys wanted to do that.” He informs, Leo who was cut off pouted and leans off him.
”Because it’s fun! You should really try it next time.” Raph announced in excitement before out of the blue Mikey quips in an idea.
“Let’s go bungee dunk on the hoops at Rucker Park.”
“Game on! Just one thing first.” April agreed to doing more stunts but paused before running off and coming back with two warning signs.
“Wet floor and Dry pool. Our work is done here. Donnie, can I hitch a ride.” April turns to Donnie who gave her a thumbs up and gestured to his armoured shell.
“No probbles.”
April jumps onto his shell, which immediately opens to provide a seat and handlebars. The rotors whirl as Donnie lifts off and starts flying away, followed by the turtles. Adriaen debated at first if he should just go home and sleep, but he knew that these guys would end up causing some kind of trouble, and someone had to be there to look out for them, so he also followed pursuit, jumping across the rooftop buildings.
But they all stopped when they heard a loud thud on the wall of the building they were on. Adriaen turns back to see Raph had crashed but he didn’t look injured, instead he had everyone halt.
“Hey, hey guys, hold up. Poor thing looks lost.” He informs as he points down to the construction site, where a small shivering animal-like figure was sitting at.
As the little mutant tries to wonder where he is, Raph Jumps down, and others follow. The creature screeches startled and alarmed when Raph appeared in front of it. The others stood back, looking puzzled at the creature.
What…is that thing?
“Hey, little guy, what’chu doing here? Mm, mm, come to big Raphie.” Raph cooed in a babylike voice, which quickly had the others —aside from Adriaen— laugh.
“What? Pets love me all right? I am at one with the animals.”
The creature growls and leaps at Raph’s face, clawing him up, Raph yelped in obvious surprise as the creature then jumps off him. Coincidentally, Adriaen was close by and the animal had landed in his arms.
”H-huh?” Adriaen was a little startled, flinching briefly as he waited for it to claw his face, but to his confusion it just purred at him. ”Aw, how cute.” April gushes over, clearly wanting to hold it, Adriaen turns to her and held the creature under its arms and gently gave it to April. “Take it.” Adriaen replied, watching as the animal creature licks her face.
“Aww. I didn’t get this drenched from the cannonball.”
“It looks so weird. What is it?” Mikey spoke up, tilting his head as he eyed the thing. Donnie came over to April and checked the collar on the creature that had a green vile hanging in the middle.
“Maybe it’s some kind of nuclear St. Bernard.”
Before anyone could say anything, an angry scoff draws their attention to two figures nearby.
“Oooh! Humans!” Raph squeaks in surprise, in an instant all five turtles duck behind April as Raph whispers to everyone.
”Initiate plan H.”
Ugh, I hate plan H…
Raph, Leo, Adriaen and Mikey come out of hiding from behind April. Leo being the first to speak with a calm expression but had a nerdy tone.
“Um, excuse me sirs. Can you direct us to the local science fiction convention that we are currently dressed for?”
Mikey who tried to sound a bit nerdy, also added into the conversation.
“Snazzy alien turtle outfits, huh?”
Donnie then steps in front of Mikey, looking stiff. “We are just typical, normal humans who got lost in the middle of our normal, everyday human lives. Nailed it.” He added but the more he spoke the more unbelievable it sounded but he seemed rather proud of himself.
Adriaen groans and face palms in embarrassment at the others as Leo eyed Donnie with an unimpressed look, “Dude, you gotta make it to rehearsal.” He whispers to his brother who sheepishly smiles in return.
“Give to me creature. How you say…pretty please...or I’ll destroy you.” One of the large men, who carried around a small dog in a baby carrier strapped to his chest, threatens April.
“Really? You think you’re gonna step to our friend? Rookie mistake, hoss.”
Raph narrowed his eyes as he steps closer to April for her protection and to seem intimidating to the strangers. “And if you step to my friends for stepping to you for st-stepping to me? You’re gonna have to step to me. Mm-kay?” April tried to also threaten back, but her words only sounded confusing.
”Way to be intimidating.” Adriaen sarcastically uttered, arms crossed as he stared ahead at the two weird men.
“You do not intimidate us, with or without your fake nerd voices.”
“That was actually my real voice.” Donnie blinks in bewilderment at what the guy said, but he was ignored by everyone.
“Well, you better get intimidated, ‘cause we’re like nothing you’ve ever seen.” Raph smirks at his own comment, but Donnie once again wanted answers.
“What’s wrong with my voice?”
Both men suddenly start to glow and purple mist flow around their bodies, causing the group to stare in astonishment and disbelief.
“Whoa! No way!”
“Dude!”
“Jumping Jack Flash!”
Adriaen sweats slightly at the sudden mist, as he narrowed his eyes in focus and got into a defensive stance.
Everyone exclaimed in surprise as the men began to transform into huge monsters astride monstrous dogs.
What the…are they demons or something?!
It was silence between everyone, since they were all processing in what they witnessed, but it didn’t last long as Leo couldn’t help but make a joke.
“So…you guys from Jersey?”
Adriaen deadpans at the blue masked turtle, “Are you serious?” He scolds as Leo smiles a bit awkwardly, “What? I can’t make a joke in the middle of the craziest thing ever? That’s how I cope.” He tries to justify himself; Adriaen opens his mouth to say something but was interrupted by Raph.
“Whatever. This is our chance to finally use these babies. Weapons ahoy!”
Upon his comment, the turtles brought out their weapons. Raph with his two Sais, Mikey with the Nunchucks, Donnie and his mechanical bow staff, Leo with his twin katanas and Adriaen with his pair of Kama’s.
“We agreed to reserve “ahoy” for ship-based adventures, pal, please.” Donnie corrected his brother, “Here they come!” Adriaen announced, watching the two monster dogs charge toward them, snarling and barking.
“Guys, I got this.” Donnie confidently assured, his staff expands with jets on either end. He throws it at the oncoming bad guys.
”Fibonacci!” He announces but suddenly the weapon starts whirling sporadically.
“Ah, no, n…oh, no, no. That’s so bad.”
Adriaen and the others watch the staff malfunction in the air, with Adriaen sighing to himself. “I told you that it would do that first if you didn’t test it out beforehand.” He side eyes Donnie who stares with a pout at his staff.
The creature that April held lets out a hiss and disappears.
“Dog thingy!”
The creature reappears in the air, clamps its mouth on to the runway staff, and blinks out while holding staff. Then it appears above Donnie and drops the staff into his hands.
Oh…so it can do that.
“Hey, it plays fetch.” Donnie smiles, watching the animal blink out again and returns to April’s arms.
”And teleports, which is…oh, my gosh, it teleports!” Donnie added before realisation kicked in for him. One of the monsters points their weapon at Donnie and it begins to glow, zapping sounds coming off it before a flashing beam of light hits Donnie who crashes into a pile of cinder blocks.
“Donnie!”
“Pro tip, the inexplicable glow-y wave – extraordinarily painful.”
Raph turns to Mikey, ready to fight off these monster guys. “All right, Mikey, you take the one that looks like a broken toaster. I’ll take the guy that looks like a fancy trash can.” He orders but it only confused Mikey.
“They look exactly the same, and they don’t look like either of those things!”
The dog beast and monster chases Raph and Mikey who quickly start to run.
Leo and Adriaen being the only ones left behind with the other monster guy. “Hey, where are you going?” Leo mumbles under his breath to his brothers. The low snarl makes him look back over his shoulder, Leo who was calm placed one katana over his shoulder.
“You had to ruin cannonball day.”
Adriaen glanced at the blue masked turtle, knowing that he was going to charge in, “Leo, we should-“ He began to speak but Leo placed a finger over his lips, shushing Adriaen.
”Just leave it to me.” He grins before winking as he looks back at the dog monster. In swift speed, Leo pounced at the monster guy, swinging his swords. But when Leo’s weapons made impact, they broke and he stood their now defenceless.
“My swords!”
”Leo!” Adriaen calls out to him, the demon guy laughs which seemed to annoy Leo who had his sword's hilts at his head, connecting with the monsters helmet.
“I don’t need weapons to beat you! I got my rad skills!”
He jumps onto the side of a concrete truck and flips in the air beneath the monster's weapon, and then falls flat on his face.
“Ack!”
Adriaen stares down at Leo who twitched, with a heavy sigh, Adriaen steps over Leo and stood in front of him, holding out his Kama’s.
”My turn.”
The monster runs at him, as he was quick to divert the fight away from Leo’s body. He leaps onto some construction wood before jumping off in time when the demon guy tried zapping him with its weapon, like how they did with Donnie.
Adriaen, runs along the ground and got close as he could, swinging his Kama’s at his opponent who blocked his attacks with easy. Adriaen was then shoved back, the force of the push making him drop his Kama’s and almost stumbling down on the ground, but he found his footing and balanced himself to stay standing.
”Huh…? My Kama’s!” He noticed in surprise as he witnessed his weapons being crushed under the demon hounds' paws.
Great…now what do I do?
Leo groans as he tries to stand up, Adriaen noticed his comrade and quickly ran over, dodging the swipe of the sword that the demon entity carried.
Adriaen skids to a halt and kneels beside Leo, helping him sit up. “You okay?” He asked as Leo wobbles in a daze as he gave a lazy thumbs up. “Never better. Say…are we about to be hit?” He mumbles, pointing out behind Adriaen who widens his eyes and turn around, only for him and Leo to be thrown to the side along with Donnie. Leo landed on the shell of his brother as Adriaen landed onto Leo.
Not long after, the other monster throws Mikey and Raph into the pile.
“Hey, trash can and toaster boy!”
April yells out to them, throwing bricks at the monster’s chests. “If you know what’s good for you, you’ll leave my friends alone. What the-?” She exclaims but stopped in puzzlement when one of the monsters lifted his hands and a purple orb formed around the doglike creature. The creature tries to teleport out of the orb but can’t. With a wave of the demon's hand, the monster pulls the orb through the air towards it, but April hangs on.
“No!”
The strangers grabs the orb from April and then blasts her backwards.
“I have the agent and the vial. Hyah!”
The one with the green eyes spins around and gestures. A giant “M” appears on the brick wall nearby and an opening appears.
“Whoa!” The turtles all awed out in amazement, they didn’t know where it came from until they moved aside when the Delivery guy moved past them.
“Sweet shortcut. Wait! This is not a shortcut!”
As he said this, he falls into the opening and falls far through a glowing tunnel, screaming.
“Ah! Good to know.” Mikey sweats, before flinching when the mutant dog whines and its monster owner rides into the opening.
“The dog thingy!”
April sprints ahead to save him, but Raph knew it meant that she would end up through the portal thing.
“Hey! April! No!”
Everyone ran up to April just as she entered the portal. The wall closed completely, and Raph slams face first into bricks.
“Oh! April!”
Leo blinks in shock and looked around, “I think she’s okay, ‘cause there’s no, like, April bits on the ground.” He somewhat assures, causing Donnie, Raph and Leo himself to check out the other side of the wall.
“Hey, April, are your bits on the other side of the wall? How do we get her out of there?”
Adriaen stood next to Mikey; his arms crossed over his chest comfortably. “More so on where is even there…” He informs, humming to himself briefly to think. “Oh, hey! I’ve seen this before! In fact, we all have.” Mikey slightly shouts, the three walking over to him as Adriaen focused his attention onto the orange masked mutant who eyed the “M” symbol on the wall.
The turtles stare together at the brick wall, all trying to remember on where they saw this. “Wait a minute…” Adriaen uttered before realising where he has seen this symbol before. “In Splinter’s do-not-touch cabinet.” He states, causing the others to also perk up at this.
”Let’s go home and check it out!” Raph noted, quickly rushing off to the nearest manhole cover, everyone else following behind as they jump down into the sewers and make their way back home.
It didn’t take long before the five reached their lair that they all grew up in together. They quietly go to where Splinter was sitting. The large rat that Raph, Leo, Donnie and Mikey call as their father was busy watching the TV.
Adriaen never saw Splinter as a father figure, to him he was just a random mutated rat that took him in out of pity, considering Adriaen wasn’t actually with everyone at the start. Splinter had found Adriaen when the turtle was only 3 years old. Lost in the sewers and no place to call home.
They all hide behind the chair where Splinter sits watching TV on a big screen. At the right is the cabinet where they see the familiar “M” symbol which appeared to be inside a compass.
“You’re right. It’s just like the symbol those creeps have.” Raph mumbles quietly to not disturb Splinter. “Should we just ask him for it?” Mikey questions, making Leo scoff at the idea.
“And what do we say if he asks why we want it? That we need it to go after our best friend, who disappeared into a wall after our priceless weapons were destroyed by mystical jogger guys?”
Raph slams his hand down on Leo’s head, “Shh! Okay, here’s the plan. We gotta get Splinter out of the room.” He stated the obvious, before the five all come out of hiding and stand in front of the TV screen, bowing respectfully at Splinter.
“Hey, Pop. Any chance we can have the living room tonight?”
Splinter slurps milk through the straw from the carton, and began laughing hysterically, “And I thought purple was the funny one!” He chuckles at them. “I told you guys I was the funniest.” Donnie briefly looked at the others, Adriaen elbowed his arm as Donnie clears his throat.
”Anyway, what if I hooked it up so that you could watch in bed, huh? Wouldn’t that be even lazier?”
“No! My butt is asleep, just how I like it. Now, leave me be! They’re about to break out the scorpions!”
Laughter was heard from the show, as the TV voice-over begins again. The five walk away and go back behind Splinter’s chair to think of a new plan of action.
“Plan one didn’t work. New plan. All right, listen up.” Raph declares as he slaps paper on table and grabs a crayon.
”We need ten chickens, a gallon of rubber cement, and…”
”What on earth are you even planning with all that?” Adriaen deadpans at the older brother of the others in slight concern for this plan”.
Leo holds up the compass object from Splinter’s cabinet, dangling it to everyone.
”Leon’s got it.”
“How’d you get it?” Raph stared in amazement at him, but Leo just lightly snorted, “You know he always passes out after milk and cake.” He points out, causing everyone to peek over the top of the chair.
Splinter lay there snoring away with cake crumbs all over him. “Huh, well that was easy.” Adriaen noted before looking to Leo, “Nicely done.” He praises, causing Leo to blush and smile confidently.
”Well, you know, it wasn’t anything special, but I guess I am pretty good at-“
Mikey interrupted him, grabbing the compass from Leo, “Let’s go and get April back!” He announces, running off out the sewers with everyone following after him.
Wasn’t long that they were back at the construction site brick wall. Mikey had given the compass to Raph who held up the compass in front of the wall.
“A few hours ago, I would’ve called this foolish and impossible. Now I just call it foolish.” Donnie commented, with Adriaen nodding along in agreement. “Tell me about it.” He states in support of Donnie’s comment. “Say what you want, you two. Raph’ll pull it off, ‘cause if he doesn’t, we’ll lose our best friend forever.” Mikey scolded the two, “Mikey, don’t say that. You know he chokes under pressure.” Leo then scolds Mikey, unaware of Raph’s growing panic internally.
“Leo, he’s even more self-conscious when you talk about it.” Adriaen announces at Leo, “And then you can smell his fear.” Mikey added onto the pile, which finally had Raph snap in nerves and turn to the four.
“Stop talking about my fear stink!”
The four blink at him, with Adriaen raising his eyes in question at Raph’s 'fear stink'.
Dramatically, the large red masked turtle points the compass at wall, expecting something to happen, but nothing did. He pushes it closer and shakes the compass, but nothing happens once again. Annoyed, he results to punching the bricks repeatedly while the four look on.
“Come on! Stupid wall!”
He throws the compass at it, but the compass was surprisingly springy and it bounces back to hit him and he falls back.
Mikey smirks and easily catches the compass with his hand. “How about we let the artist of the crew take a poke at it?” He suggests, and Leo hums in brief agreement with his younger brother.
“I say give him a shot. I mean, he can’t do any worse, respectfully.”
“Hey…” Raph pouted, offended from Leo’s words but he was quick to be quiet when Mikey approaches the wall and holds the compass close to it. The pointer starts spinning and a glow appears, creating a matrix. Mikey cries out triumphantly and quickly draws the M on the wall, causing the opening to appear and he gazes down through the glowing tunnel.
“You beautiful fools. It worked!” Donnie exclaims excitedly, and Raph stands behind Donnie and Adriaen. “All I had to do was believe in myself.” He concluded, as Adriaen slightly rolls his eyes at him.
”Yeah, sure.”
Leo leans in to see the portal, “Okay, uh, what do we do now?” He tilts his head, the group turns to Raph who grins at an idea.
“Cannonball!”
He flies in and falls through the portal.
“Cannonball!” The others also yell, jumping in after him, Adriaen was hesitant, “Wait guys! Ugh…” He called out but it was too late as they vanished into the portal.
”Damn it…” He huffs, as he dived in after them.
The others reach the other side, all landing on the ground on their stomachs or face, all apart from Leo who landed on one foot, wobbling but balanced himself.
“Land safely…aha! Oh, whoa!”
Everyone gasped in amazement at the place they ended up in, it looked almost like a city of sorts, and it was like they were in some other fantasy world, with strange creatures roaming ahead.
“I can smell Raph’s amazement stink.”
“Whoa. This is crazy.”
“Exactly what I expected.”
“Are you kidding me?”
Mikey blinks and looks around when he noticed a certain turtle wasn’t with everyone, “Huh? Hey, where’s Adriaen?” He rubs his head in question, the others look around in search for their fellow mutant turtle. The portal above them makes strange noises as they see someone falling through, the figure being Adriaen who was slightly yelling at what he thought was going to be endless pit.
“Whoa! I got him!” Leo gasps before managing to catch him, holding him bridal style in his arms. Adriaen stopped his yelling and grunted when he felt himself land into someone’s arms, he blinks and looked at his catcher.
Leo grins at him, leaning his face slightly in. “I always knew you’d fall for me.” He flirts, but Adriaen just pushed Leo’s face away from him and narrowed his eyes. ”Let me go already.” He bluntly asked, causing Leo to place him on his feet as he rubs his face. “Ow, ow…” Leo mumbles, turning away to not be embarrassed.
Adriaen looks around and like the others was also a bit amazed at this new place.
”Where are we…?”
“Psst. Hey, guys, over here.”
The five turn to face April calling and waving them over, “April!” Mikey yells in relief, him and the others running over and hugging her.
“Missed you!” Raph sighs in relief as well, Adriaen glanced to the smart turtle of the group, “Donnie, where are we?” He inquired, watching Donnie who looks down at his mechanical wristband.
“According to my calculations, we are in a tertiary meta-verse.”
“Actually, I’ve been exploring, and we’re in a mystic hidden city deep under New York!” April corrected, gesturing up which of course had the others look up as well.
Huh.
“That was my second guess.”
“So where’s the dog thingy?” Leo tilted his head at their human friend who points to round structure high up on a hill.
“He’s in there.”
Naturally the group make their way to the strange building, when they arrived the metal door slides open and they walk in, at first they didn’t know where to go but the more they explored, the more they eventually found a passageway to another entrance.
When the door opens again, they were greeted with a mysterious looking lab.
“Look at the colour scheme. Whoa, I’d love to do my lab in this style.” Donnie gasps in amazement, instantly looking around with his eyes at the place. ”Please don’t.” Adriaen commented, before Raph points down at the lower level. “Hey, there’s the little guy. And the delivery guy, too!” He informs, the gang looking down to see them in separate cages.
The little creature keeps trying to portal out, unsuccessfully.
“We gotta help them get out!”
Adriaen perked up when he heard someone approaching below, holding his arm out to stop Raph from jumping in.
”Someone’s coming.”
And just as he predicted, a large and intimidating looking stranger with horns appears, stopping in front of the cages. “If you’re the guy that keeps calling about the calamari, fine, it’s pig butts! But the crab cakes are real.” The delivery man admits but that wasn’t the case with this mystery man.
“I assure you; I have no interest in your petty cakes of crab.”
The small creature leaps from the demons shoulder onto the front of the cage.
“But we would love to hear more about those pig butts.”
The leader, that Adriaen assumed he was, reaches inside the mutant dog’s cage and yanks the necklace off the creature's neck.
“So nice of you to return my vial.”
He approaches the delivery guy again, “You are about to be part of an experiment that will change the very nature of humanity.” He informs making Adriaen lean a little closer to hear more.
“All right!”
How is that something to be excited for?
The horned demon uncorks the globe and pours green liquid contents into a giant tank full of mosquitoes. Liquid flows up to the cylinder and electricity begins to spark the tubes. “This dude looks like trouble.” April whispers, “Yeah, and if I’ve learned anything from “Jupiter Jim” movies, glowing green usually equals bad.” Raph stated, recalling what he remembers from the movies he’s seen.
Green liquid multiplies in size and the mosquitoes begin drinking it. The demon extracts one of the mosquitoes from the container and walks back to the caged delivery guy. He gestures and cage walls turn into vines which wrap around the delivery guy and lift him up.
“So…is this gonna hurt?”
“It will…if I’m doing it right.”
The demon guy placed the mosquito onto the human's head, before the bug pumps green liquid into him. Leaving a red dot on his forehead.
“Hey, that wasn’t so-“
Suddenly, the delivery man starts to mutate, “Oh, ow. Okay, this part hurts. This part – oh! This part hurts. Ah, that hurts! Oh!” He cries out in pain, making the group stare in slight horror at what they are seeing.
“What’s happening to him?”
Adriaen looked disgusted as he closed one eye, “That is messed up.” He muttered, the others react with groans and grimaces as they watch the delivery guy mutate into a fish man.
“Yeah, jury’s in. That was imitation crab.”
“I just got used to acne. Now this?” The delivery guy screamed and ran out the lab, where one of the tiny gargoyles laughs.
”Should we go after him, boss?”
“The mutation worked, just like it did all those years ago.” Their boss announces in pride at his work, “Mutation? You mean like us?” Adriaen responded to the comment quietly to the others, his eyes focused on the strange man.
Raph gasps and looks to his brothers, April and Adriaen. “Could we be-“ He began to say but Mikey cuts him off with equal panic.
“Part imitation crab?”
Donnie laughs and then sobers, when he realises that Mikey was serious. “You are not kidding, are you?” He questioned but no one could say anything when they hear the horned demon talk to the dog creature that the group was here to rescue.
“I’ll deal with you next.”
“We can’t let that sheep-horned weirdo do anything to that dog!” April announces, ready to fight if it weren’t for Leo to stating the obvious fact.
“But, except for Donnie, we’re out of weapons.”
“Note to you, next time, make your weapons out of high-grade titanium.”
Adriaen sighs as he admits to himself, he missed his two Kamas.
“Guys, who needs weapons? We’re ninjas! Leo’s got his mad skills, nobody flips better than Mikey, Donnie’s got that big old brain, Adriaen has his slyness and intuition, and I got, uh—“ Raph began to assure everyone as he notices they all looked a bit discouraged.
“A friend who knows where there’s a room full of weapons.” April grins, causing Leo to exhale in relief and whisper to the others.
“Ah, thank goodness. We were so dead.”
April walks over to a lever where she pulls it down and all fall through the floor. They land on the floor with Adriaen managing to stick the landing and not end up in Leo’s arms. As they recover, they look around and noted how they are in a huge room full of weapons and other equipment.
“It’s like if magic and science had a baby!” Donnie quips, gasping in amazement as everyone began to explore the possibilities of new weapons.
Leo finds a pair of swords, holding them up. “Ho, oh, oh, yeah!” He grins, thinking of taking them for himself, Mikey also finds a weapon, it being nunchucks as he spins them.
“These’ll do.”
Adriaen held up a pair of Kama’s, he didn’t really think anything special about them. “Hey, yo, guys! How about we take the glow-y ones?" Raph shouts out, pointing out a shelf with obvious magical weapons.
Five glowing weapons float in the air. Leo and Mikey’s eyes widen, and they drop their weapons and run to the new ones. Adriaen gently puts down the Kama’s and also made his way over in curiosity.
“Oh, dibs on the sword.” Leo immediately said, jumping up and grabbing the weapon, giving it a testing swing.
“Oh, boy!”
Mikey grabs the Kusari-fundo Nunchaku.
”Hot soup!”
Raph went for the glowing pair of Tonfa and smashes them together.
”Boom! Huh-ha!”
Adriaen eyed the pair of the kama’s, grabbing it and inspecting the craftsmanship of the weapon. He was impressed by the blades.
”Huh, I can work with this no problem.”
Last thing floating is a mystic staff with a chain and a spiked ball. April grabs it and holds it out to Donnie who didn’t look all that interested.
“What about you, Donnie? Don’t you want a glowy weapon?”
“No, I’m good.” He shakes his head and then hugs his staff.
”I’ll never let you go…this looks interesting though.”
Donnie touches a purple crystal that’s floating nearby, stuffing it safely away.
“Let’s go save that dog thingy!”
The group with their new weapons were ready to fight, April finds another lever and pulls it down, where in an instance they all fall through the ground again, this time somehow, they landed in a pipe. The group fall through and within minutes they end up on a platform where the horned demon guy watches them after being startled by the loud banging.
“All right, give us the little guy, and you’ll walk out of here with your horns still attached.” Raph was quick to threaten, “Shouldn’t we also stop him from creating crab-men?” Leo perks up, making Raph nod in agreement.
“Good note. Okay, give us the little guy, stop creating crab-men-“
“Imitation crab-men.”
April and Adriaen sigh in exasperation at where this was going to lead to. “Okay, good note. Stop creating imitation crab-men…” Raph began as the brothers and Adriaen all talk over each other, with Adriaen trying to grab their attention to focus on the enemy.
Unaware that the horned man, was looking at them with stars in his eyes.
“You’re…beautiful.”
“Raph, why don’t you take it from the top again?” Leo grins, after they all finally agreed on what Raph should say, even though Adriaen was just done with everyone already.
“Here goes. First, you apologize to the dog thingy-“
“Let’s do this!” April suddenly shouted before she leaps off balcony, swinging her club. “April O’Neil!” She announces herself, “Omigosh! She just ran in.” Mikey gasps as the others watch on in shock at her boldness.
April lands on the creature’s cage and begins chewing on the vines, straining and grunting as she tries to free him. The two little gargoyles grab her and fly around the room with her trying to beat them off.
”She’ll be fine.” Adriaen noted out, not too worried about her. Upon their distraction, the horned demon guy throws giant purple vines at the turtles, where they all managed to dodge the attack and slide down the vine. “I hate this! I hate this! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Gah!” Leo complains, Adriaen almost slipped off as he wasn’t expecting the vine to be a little slippery, but he got the hang of it quickly.
The demon guy suddenly throws down three pellets and a giant robot thing grows up from the floor, causing everyone to gasp and panic.
“Ohmigosh!”
“Whoa, whoa!”
“Dude, seriously?”
“Ah! It looked at me!”
Adriaen gulps when he saw the golem grab all vines together and shakes them, flinging the turtles off. “This one’s got a little spice.” Donnie called out after being flung.
“Capture those specimens!”
Adriaen widens his eyes at what he heard, “Capture?!” He repeated, as he and the others all charge in at the robotic golem. Leo swings his sword and slices through a leg, knocking it down to one knee. “Nice one Leo!” Adriaen grins slightly, running to the other leg where he used the Kama’s to slice the other leg off. He skids to a halt next to Leo as they witness it roar and grab a handful of boulders from the floor, throwing them at turtles. Mikey and Raph dodge each missile.
“Hot soup!” Raph shouted as he smashes face first into the robot, knocking it down.
Donnie’s battle shell opens and rotors deploy. It flies overhead and opens rockets on the staff, but they start spinning him.
“No, no, no. No, no, no, no.”
“Look out guys!”
The staff smashes into the robot's head and spins his whole body, then sends it crashing to the ground.
“Ha! Nailed it!” Donnie exclaims happily, catching his staff with pride.
“Accidentally impressive. With a little bit of training, you could be as formidable as I’d hoped.” The demon guy somewhat praised his enemies, Adriaen looks over with a questioning gaze.
“It’s okay! I got this!” April was heard above, still fighting off the little gargoyles.
“Okay, well, great, and since you’re surrendering.” Leo coughs, but this seems to strike a slight nerve in the enemy who gave a sarcastic laugh.
“Baron Draxum does not surrender.”
“Okay, well, when he gets here, we’ll deal him...oh, ho, ho, I see. You’re doing that whole 'sinister talking in the third person' thing.” Leo pointed out, with Adriaen deadpanning at him, “You don’t say.” He commented, slightly flinching when Raph jumped over him.
“Only Raph can use the third person! All right, guys, time to put our training to use.”
He and the others run off, Leo confused as ever follows pursuit.
“What training? You guys have been training?” He asked, as Adriaen shakes his head, “Not really no…well, at least not these guys.” He concluded, also tilting his head slightly at him.
”Wait have you been doing secret training without us?”
“Not exactly secret training when I’m literally just in the dojo...but yeah.”
With all rushing in to attack Draxum, the said being used some pellets and his arms grow huge, blocking the strikes. With a slam, the fists hits the ground and the concussion throws the turtles back.
“And that’s why Baron Draxum–“
He cut off when one of his little minions that was flying away with April falls from above and hits Draxum on the head.
”I’m sorry, boss.”
April appeared on the ground, beating on the other minion with her bat as she grabs the other that fell first in her teeth, shaking them loose from her leg and stomps on him, she paused and gave the turtles a thumbs up, which all five return.
Draxum shoots brownish liquid at her, and it wraps her in a cocoon, causing the turtles to stand in front of her protectively. “You did not just do that to our friend!” Mikey hissed, upset that April is now tied up, he throws the end of the chain of his new weapon at Draxum, but it goes past him. But to everyone’s surprise the weapon hangs in the air, the round end spinning and even the weapon starts to laugh maniacally.
“Whoa. Magic weapon…Ah!”
It yanks him forward and then flies around, taking him on a wild ride. He hits a section of the ooze tank and breaks it. Mikey is yelling and screaming, as the end of his Kusari-fundo still laughs and turns into a flaming face. Draxum jumps aside just before it hits him, and Mikey collided hard on the floor.
“Mikey, that was awesome. How’d you do that?” Raph questions as everyone stared in amazement and disbelief, “I don’t know, man. I was just swinging my weapon, like this, and all of a sudden…” He paused when the ball on the end flames on again and laughter begins. ”Just like tha –a-a-a!” Mikey points out before going back on a wild ride. “Let me try. Magic weapon, magic weapon, magic weapon, magic weapon!” Raph slams his tonfas together in eagerness, before red magic starts to spark off it.
”Aw, yeah! Magic weapon!” With a final slam of them together, he was suddenly met with an explosive response from it and knocks him down.
“Mine works too….”
Leo smiled in eagerness, before running ahead at Draxum.
“Can’t wait to find out what mine does!”
”Leo, wait!” Adriaen chased after him, having a bad feeling that he would end up in a disaster as well. Leo’s sword begins to spark and shift. Draxum lifts his arm to block him as Leo swings without connecting.
When he noticed the sword did nothing, he laughs uneasily while sweating. But then to his surprise, Leo’s sword lifted overhead and sparks some more, and a portal opens beneath Leo’s feet. He starts to fall, and another portal above opens, making Leo fall through, but he was stuck in an endless loop of going between the two portals.
“Get…me…off…this…ride! Whoa!”
Adriaen stopped before he could fall into the portal that Leo created as he got a little dizzy watching the blue masked mutant turtle go through his dilemma.
Adriaen shakes his head and stared at Draxum who gave a low growl at him, ready to attack. “Oh boy, please weapons, don’t be bad.” Adriaen mumbles as he leans back when Draxum’s arm extended at him.
Adriaen backflips away for distance as he grips the Kama’s in his grasps. He felt them give out sparks of magic as he glanced down at them, watching how they glowed briefly. He felt something in him shift as well, like he was somehow connected to the weapon. It was difficult for him to register or explain to himself what he was feeling, but there was no time to think.
He dodged another attack from Draxum, as he skids to the side and on instinct, he threw the Kama’s in the air at Draxum, “Uh oh.” He mumbles, he didn’t even know why he threw them, but to his surprise he watched as the weapons were avoiding being hit and actually cutting Draxum a few times.
”Huh?” Adriaen blinks as he noticed how the Kama’s were moving according to where he was pointing at and possibly being controlled somehow in his mind. “Whoa, I’ll admit that’s pretty cool.” He smirks, but then they started…malfunctioning and started flying at him, making Adriaen widen his orbs and duck down as the kama’s almost sliced his head off.
”I knew this was gonna happen. Whoa!”
He groans before ducking again, not having any other choice he starts running around in circles, being chased by these flying kama’s that he somehow was controlling earlier.
“And that’s why I like fighting the old-fashioned way, with impossibly futuristic high-tech weaponry.” Donnie muses, jumping in and attacking Draxum, who blocked his strikes. The end of Donnie’s staff forms a rocket and when Draxum swings at him, Donnie ducks so that Draxum hits his staff. It bounces up and smashes him in the face, knocking Draxum backwards.
“Just like I planned it!”
“Look out!” Mikey shouted before he slammed into Donnie and they were both flying around. “You fight like untrained buffoons, but under me, you could become true warriors!” Draxum commented with loudness for everyone to hear.
He throws pellets that form cocoons around the turtles, Donnie and Mikey are cocooned together. As well as Leo and Adriaen being in cocoons as well together.
“So, how’s your day?” Leo tries to make conversation with Adriaen who grunts and wriggles around in the cocoon. “Not now with the jokes Leo.” He scolded him, April turns her head to the others with panic.
“How are we gonna save the dog thingy now?”
“Donnie’s on it.”
Donnie lowers his goggles and peers around the lab. The tank sparking like it’s going critical. His goggle making alarm sounds.
“Wait a second…”
Draxum approaches which startles him, but he didn’t seem like he was going to attack the defenceless turtles, “Turtles, why are you trying to stop my plans? We are all in this together!” He tries to reason as Adriaen narrows his eyes and raised an invisible eyebrow.
”How are we in this together?!”
“Ah, hey, I don’t know if this is part of your plan, but the lab’s about to explode.” Donnie interrupted, and upon his statement everyone started hopping around in their cocoons panicking.
The tank sparks some more and soon explosions began to happen, “Aw, nuts.” Draxum muttered, watching as a massive boulder lands on him. Crumbling rubble began to fall, releasing all the bugs. A nearby tube hits the cage, allowing the creature that the turtles and April were here to save, be free. He portals away and lands on Adriaen's head.
”Hey, get off!” He grunts as April smiles at the animal. “Little guy! Can you do your thing and get us out of here?” She begged, which somehow the creature understood as it gave a grin and portals April and the turtles out of the lab.
They wind up just outside of Draxum’s stronghold, all of them safely out the cocoons they were trapped in as Mikey quickly draws the “M” symbol on a wall and they jump through the portal when it opens.
The turtles and April land safely topside, they ended back in the construction site that they have been in earlier. The compass on the other hand slides out of Mikey’s hand and breaks. “Oh, no! Splinter’s doohickey!” He panicked but no one really cared. “Man. Are you okay, boy? Or girl? You sure were good through all that mayhem.” April cooed the creature that can teleport, before she gained an idea.
”Hey, Mayhem! That’s a cute name.”
Adriaen turns to her, hand on hip, “You're seriously keeping it as a pet?” He quizzes which she shrugs her shoulders, “Well why not? He’s not so bad and just so darn cute!” She explains her reasonings, hugging the creature now called as Mayhem.
”Right…”
Raph pants before laughing triumphantly, patting the back of Adriaen. “We just defeated a boss villain. We’re heroes. We deserve a name like Mad Dogs.” He concluded, looking up as he and the others pose dramatically. ”I am not calling myself a mad dog, Raph.” Adriaen was quick to decline the name before Leo leans his bodyweight onto Adriaen as he hums in thought about the group name.
“Mad dogs? You don’t think something like Mutant Ninja Turtle Teens or…I don’t know. Maybe – we’ll keep brainstorming.”
Adriaen was first to notice one of those mosquitoes that carried the mutation liquid flew past them. “What the?” He uttered, as he and now the other also look on in bewilderment. But then thousands of the bugs burst out of the open portal mouth behind them, the group watching in despair at the bugs flying freely in New York.
“Huh. That can’t be good.”
Leo taps Adriaen’s shoulder, gaining his attention “We should go. People’s blinds are starting to open.” He concluded, in which the turtles notice that it was daytime.
They bid their human friend goodbye before running to the manhole cover and jumping down into the sewers, making their way back home.
Adriaen slightly yawns, he didn’t realise he had been up all night until it was just now hitting him. “I can’t wait to get to bed.” He sighs in hope at the comfort of his bed.
”You know, my bed is pretty comfy, we can share it-“ Leo tried to once again flirt, and as always fails miserably when he tripped over his own foot and landed face first in the sewer water.
”Hm? You say something Leo?” Adriaen turns to him, as Leo looks up at him with slight disappointment in himself and slightly embarrassed.
”Uh, nope. Just…freshening up is all.”
”Okay…?”
They once again make their way back to the comfort of their lair, Leo internally beating himself up for his failed flirting attempts today.

So, what do we all think so far? How are we liking Adriaen so far and his mystic weapon?
There’s not much Leo X OC happening since it’s only the first chapter, but boy do, I have plans in the future! Especially when I write up the movie-

Spider-Woman 2112 and the Reunion
Summary: Gabriella O'Hara is Spider-Woman in Nueva York year 2112 where she encounters a visitor from another dimension
Word Count: 1786
"Let's find somewhere close, just to lay…down." Gabriella swung to the top of a nearby building just clearing the ledge. As she released her web, she rolled across the roof until the momentum slowed her to a complete stop.
"Owwwwuhh…" There she laid on her back, just relieved to be at rest. Luckily no one was there, no gliders, no people, nothing but the evening sky and the hushed lights from the surrounding buildings. Vibrant shades of pinks and yellows and blues shaded the sky as glimmers of twilight beamed in the distance. She pulled her mask just above the bridge of her nose to smell the night air.
"Okay I'll swing home in 5 minutes."
The city bustled below her as she inhaled the chilly air, faint sounds of sirens and glider traffic ever-present. In some ways, it was peaceful.
"This is nice," she thought to herself. She was relieved that the mission wasn't a total disaster. This was a new one, Voodoo Priestess Calypso or something rather. For the love of God no more new villains!
This job was fun, and also scary sometimes; a lot of times actually. But she still loved being Spider-Woman.
"Sometimes I wish it didn't take so much work," she thought to herself. "Am I burnt out?"
"I should get going," Gabriella sat up, taking in the beauty that was Nueva York for a moment. That is, until her spider-senses began to tingle. In the corner of her eye, she spotted a light coming from across the platform. "Ahh, shit!"
She scrambled to pull her mask down over her face and quickly jumped to her feet as the light became stronger. She knew something was coming.
The light got brighter, until it was many lights and way too bright to be any glider or flash beam. With shades of pinks and yellows and reds reflecting onto the ground, Gabriella had no idea what this was.
"What the f—..."
Seemingly from thin air, a portal appeared. Gabriella shielded her eyes to avoid going blind, but inadvertently blocked the view of the figure flying right at her. Before she could even register what was happening, a man barrelled towards her out of the portal, dive-rolled onto the ground and landed on his feet right in front of her.
Donning a spider suit of his own, the man was tall and muscular. Gabriella was confused. Was this some kind of alternate spider person?
The man looked around and then zeroed in on Gabriella, "Where is he?? Where is he?!"
"Where is who?"
"MILES MORALES. MILES MORALES."
"Sorry," Gabriella replied, signifying that she did not know who he was talking about. Her eyes shifted away from him and towards the portal. "Is that a portal?"she asked as she pointed at the portal.
"I'm here for ---..."
"Are you like a spider…man?" Gabriella interrupted again, pointing up and down at his suit.
"What? I'm not like a Spider-Man... I am Spider-Man, and I'm from another dimension…"
"Really? We still can't do that." She said, shrugging her shoulders. She was well-acquainted as a research intern at Alchemax. Dimension hopping was a tough one, at least doing it without disappearing. Clearly they were behind other universes. She refocused on the situation at hand. "Sorry, so, you're searching for Miles Morales?"
"Yes. You're the local spider, right? I'm trying to find Miles Morales! Did you see anyone come through a portal like this?" He had never been to this dimension as he had all the others involved in spider society. Just judging from her spider suit, he was confident this was the right person.
"No, sorry…" she responded.
"You do not understand! He will cause irreparable damage to the arachnohumanoid poly-multiverse and kill billions of innocent people!"
"The what??"
Gabriella had already been doing this job for 3 years and had already seen just about everything possible to the imagination. But this was new...very new.
"This is a shocking mess! Nevermind," Spider-Man exclaimed, completely ignoring her. She was asking too many questions to be helpful. He motioned to program his multiverse watch to reopen the portal.
"Wait! I can help you find him." She was fully aware that this was a somewhat self-serving motivation in order to dimension hop. But this Miles guy sounded dangerous.
"Fine!" he replied, exasperated, needing to be gone already.
"Sweet!" Gabriella exclaimed in a celebratory manner.
Spider-Man stared at her.
"Sorry.." she said sheepishly, struggling to hide her excitement. "I'm Spider-Woman, by the way."
"GREAT!" Spider-Man responded sarcastically. "We need to go NOW!" He motioned to open the portal and set his destination for another universe.
"You can call me Gabi though," she continued, finishing her statement.
"'Gabi', is it?" He didn't really care, he was a bit preoccupied. The portal reopened and he motioned to jump through.
"Yep. Well, Gabriella actually. Gabriella O'Hara."
"What? Gabriella O'Hara?" He whipped his head around to look at her, stopping right before jumping through the portal.
"Yes?"
He stood there, staring at her. Could there be a Gabriella O'Hara in this universe? How did he miss that? The name was common enough for any girl or woman, but what if it was her? Was she this universe's Spider-Woman? Feelings of hope and anticipation preoccupied his mind. He was no longer focused on Miles Morales.
"Gabriella O'Hara?"
"YES, my name is Gabriella O'Hara. Geeze. Who are you? Since we're revealing secret identities."
He hesitated for a moment.
"Miguel O'Hara…"
"What?" She paused for a moment, studying his body language before continuing.
"I'm sorry, I just hallucinated. I thought you said 'Miguel O'Hara'," she said, shaking her head softly, convinced that doing so would rid her of the hallucination she just had.
"I did, my name is Miguel O'Hara."
She stared at him for a few seconds. Who else would have that name? "That was my dad's name," she said before lifting her mask to get a better look at him. Miguel stared into her eyes and knew immediately. A flood of emotion overwhelmed him as he was confronted with her, and all of the memories. His feelings of guilt and grief emerged to the surface all at once. She was an alternate version of his daughter.
Gabriella pulled out her AI assistant tablet and showed Miguel her home screen. He looked at the screen which was virtually a freeze frame of one of the videos he had of his daughter. This confirmed it.
"Gabi?" He asked her, his voice breaking, tears forming in his eyes. His holographic mask disappeared so she could see his face. For as hardened as Miguel had become, there was one place where he would always be soft and vulnerable, and that was with her. Even if it was an alternate version of her.
She knew that voice. She knew that face. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her eyes began to well with tears.
"Dad?"
They stood across from one another in silence as the portal closed. Gabriella, taking in the sight of her father, seemingly alive and well and Miguel processing how, of all the billions of people in this universe, Gabriella O'Hara existed and served as this universe's Spider-Woman.
Gabriella broke the silence, stammering in shock and disbelief, "I mean...you look just like him." It had been seven years since she last saw her dad, who had gone missing during dimension travel trials at Alchemax. He was never found, and she was never the same.
"Well, I am him...sort of. 'Him' from another dimension, similar to this."
She was speechless at this point.
It was the reunion both would only ever dream of. There they were, two broken people standing in the presence of the only ones who could make them whole again... sort of. Overcome with emotion, Gabriella moved towards Miguel and wrapped her arms around him pulling him close into a tender embrace. She felt only the familiar warmth and comforting energy that she felt with her own dad. It was the first time in a long time that she had felt completely safe. Miguel held Gabriella and squeezed her tightly, hoping that it would convey how deeply he understood what this moment meant to her.
Seven long years without him. Gabriella burrowed her face into Miguel's chest and wept. Her grief was palpable.
As they embraced, Gabriella's spider-sense activated and revealed Miguel's innermost feelings. The depression and anxiety, the trauma of his own upbringing, the loss of a universe, the burden of spider society, the obsession with maintaining canon. She let out a small gasp and looked up at him with sympathetic eyes. She didn't have to say anything, Miguel stared at her for a moment before his face crumpled and he began to sob uncontrollably.
"I'M SORRY!" he said through gasps of air.
"MIJA…I'M...SO...SORRY!" Miguel put his hand up to cover his eyes as he cried harder. Harder than he had ever cried.
Gabriella rubbed his back to comfort him. She knew he wasn't talking to her, but to another Gabriella. She also acknowledged that she was the closest he would ever get.
"It's okay, it's not your fault." she whispered.
Miguel, through sobbing breaths, replied "IT IS! I was so SELFISH!" Miguel's voice was a low growl. Gabriella could sense the self-loathing and vitriol in his voice and the weight of the multiverse on his shoulders.
"You didn't know, how could you have known what would happen?" Gabriella hugged him again, just as she had done with her own father, just as Miguel's little Gabriella had done with him so many times before.
"You deserve happiness."
"I DON'T, I DON'T! I am responsible for the deaths of BILLIONS of people! I HATE MYSELF FOR WHAT I DID!" His shoulders heaved as he cried.
Gabriella had questions about this theory and his characterization of events. But it wasn't the time. He was devastated.
She grabbed Miguel by his arms and peered up at his face. "You deserve happiness! You're not selfish for trying to be happy, or for trying to give that little girl a father again. This is a hard life, but we still choose it every single day. That doesn't mean we have to be miserable for it."
"Look at me," she said to him. He was still looking down, tears streaming down his face. She lightly grasped the hand that was covering his face and moved it downward to his side.
"Can you look at me?" she asked tenderly. He looked up at her.
"You've suffered enough. Maybe it's time to try something different. For whatever else comes, you will find a way. We will find a way."
It was what Miguel needed to hear, the first time anyone had ever said it to him. He slowly nodded in agreement.
They embraced once again, Gabriella allowing Miguel to weep in her arms. It was the first time he had felt completely safe ever, safe enough to just...feel. There they stood in a sweet embrace, providing the protection and consolement to one another that they both so desperately needed.
She wasn't his Gabriella, and he wasn't her dad but it didn't matter, it was close enough.

New York, hell of a town
The Hotel was very kind to me.
The Bank, too, charmed me immensely. I hope to return to uncover more of its secrets, but my initial verdict is: It's well worth a visit. Multiple. Some people say it's hollow and soulless underneath all that gilt, but I haven't reached that layer yet to be able to tell. The scale is immense. The characters I followed were delightful. For a moment, I was back stalking the alleys of Troy with Kampe. It appealed very specifically to my personal tastes and showed me an excellent time.
But I spent most of my time at the McKittrick, for a(nother) final goodbye, 5 shows, and I truly feel at peace. If I never get to see Sleep No More again - that'll be OK. I've seen some of the wonders it offers. I've cried buckets. I've seen things I thought I would never see, and I saw far more than I thought I would.
I don't know if I'll post full writeups of my shows - I'm currently about 7 months overdue on my final post about last year's trip - but I'll share a few moments:
The serendipity of it all. Wandering around an empty fifth floor, and suddenly, running in screaming - I heard her before I saw her - it was Lily as Lady Macbeth.
Then I was with Porter, my aching feet needed a seat, so I sat at a chair right in front of the stage for Boy Witch's ITATI. He bewitched me even before he pulled me into his phone booth, so of course I followed him from there - and he led me straight to Lily Lady M having her scene with Danvers, which I'd missed.
So many Porter Dancey Dances. The ballroom music has been drifting through my head ever since, and I think any time I have to tidy my house, I need only put on Glenn Miller, and off I will go.
I did fewer full loops than I would have liked - the physical reality of cramming 7 immersive shows into 5 days, climbing up and down two different 5+ storey buildings, plus walking all over Manhattan during the day, meant I had to take my body's protests seriously. When it was time to sit, it was time to sit. But I can still have a good time sitting in the McKittrick - on a cardboard box in the speakeasy, on the cushioned benches of the Macbeths' apartment, and in every chair in the lobby.
The loops I did do were spectacular: Andrew Robinson's Porter especially. Andrea Farley Shimota as Lady MacDuff, who truly touched my heart. Of couse, Lily Jo Ockwell's Lady Macbeth. Ruth Howard's electrifying, inhuman Bald Witch. Quaba Venza Ernest's gorgeous Banquo. Several different Fultons.
A huge welling up of emotions that began with Issa's Boy Witch singing ITATI with all his heart, progressed over the course of Andrew's Porter loop, and culminated in the 1:1. Yeah, of course I cried in there. Yeah, of course I cried even more when he kept hold of my hand, leading me all the way back to the lobby, and squeezed it tight before letting go to try to save LMD.
I met and re-met so many wonderful folks in and around the hotel. I came away with strong emotions, vivid memories, a number of prized trinkets. And a big stack of masks. Hard to explain what they mean to my friends and co-workers, but those who know, know.

Live From New York Ch1
Pairing: Mob!Bucky Barnes x OFC
Summary: He thought he was doing the right thing by leaving her. He thought he was keeping her safe.
Anslei Black was- no scratch that, she is the love of his life and her just let her go.
It has been five years and James "Bucky" Barnes is trying to leave her in the past. That is until his men come and give him some news. Anslei Black is back in New York, and she is not alone. They show him the surveillance pictures and what is staring back at him has shattered his cold heart.
Anslei isn't alone. She is with a little boy. A little boy with his steel blue eyes, a mischief smile and a Gun N Rose's T-shirt. He has a son, and he will burn New York down before he lets anything happen to them.
Warnings: mentions of guns, mentions of kidnapping and torture, swearing, protective Bucky (that’s a warning trust me 😭), mentions of threats of violence. That’s all I can think of.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Mommy I'm scared."
"Me too baby."
*************************************************************************************
His hair was black. Just like hers. His eyes were a steel blue just like the man he never knew. He couldn't believe it. He'd been staring at Steve and Tony for the past fifteen minutes and neither of them dared to move. Tony just dropped the biggest bomb, and they were all waiting for Bucky to explode and strew shrapnel.
He had a kid.
He had a kid. A little boy.
Bucky looked Tony dead in the eyes and the man flinched. "Tell me all that again, slowly." Tony looked at Steve as if to say, 'Save me'.
"Buck. Listen -" He was cut off by Bucky slamming his hand on the desk. "No! You fucking listen to yourself Steve! You've been lying to me about Anslei for years! Years. God! What if she had gotten hurt or worse?! I wouldn't have known because you two fucks lied!!"
Steve's lip twitched and he let out a scoff. "Listen to yourself Bucky!! You're the one that left her. No. Abandoned her!" Bucky flinched at that. He opened his mouth to remind Steve of his place, but Steve was on a roll. "She gave up everything for you. She lost everyone for you! Cause she loved your sorry ass, and you couldn't get over your guilt of the one fucking time she got hurt! Yes, she got hurt but she didn't die. No, you killed her the day you left her on that doorstep. Injured and alone." Steve's chest heaved with the anger he's held on to for years. Bucky blinked and looked down. Steve was right and he couldn't even be mad.
"You're right. I fucked up okay. I fuckedup and I'll never forgive myself. But this is about the past. I can't doanything about that. She has my kid and now we need to intervene. No one willever be able to touch her again. Or my kid." He straightened his back. He puton his mask of The Winter Soldier on, the most feared man in New York. "Tony, get all the information you can on Anslei and the kid. I want bank info, work, hell, I want to know when her last dentist appointment was. Everything. When you get her address, get Harley and Peter to sit on her house. Anywhere she or the kid goes, they go too."
Tony nodded at his order and left. Bucky then turned hishead to his best friend, brother, and right-hand man. "I outta knock your lights out for talkin' to me like that." Steve rolled his eyes. "You could try." Punk. Bucky took a deep breath and sat down. "I have a kid." Steve nodded and sat across from him. Steve reached over the desk and pulled the surveillance pictures towards himself. The ones that Natasha had taken two weeks ago. "Anslei still looks the same." He looked up at Bucky and Bucky nodded with a small smile.
"Still looks to good foryou. Doesn't even look like she had a baby." Steve ducked just in time to miss getting hit in the eye with a pen. "Watch it punk." Steve laughed and looked at the little boy in the picture. He was wearing jeans and a Guns N Roses t-shirt. He gave a small smile at that. The kid had Anslei's hair but Bucky's everything. He looked exactly like him. Like a carbon copy of Bucky.
In the photo, he was looking up at Anslei while she tried to clean a-scuff off his chin. The kid was smiling with mischief. He was defiantly Bucky's kid. “Poor kid got stuck with your ugly mug." Bucky smiled tightly and gestured for Steve to hand over the picture. He had a kid. With Anslei. Steve was right. He looked exactly like him. Even the dimples that only a few people have seen when he smiled. A genuine smile. "I fucked up Stevie. I fucked up leaving her. I thought maybe she'd be safer that way. Now. Now, I just wanther home. I want to meet my son. For the second fucking time in my life, I want something."
Steve eyes were glossy seeing his brother being so vulnerable. Steve cleared his throat and willed his tears away. "When was the first time?" He smiled already knowing the answer. "When I watched her clock you in the face."

Lets go for a walk?
I little bit smut this time
- Hey, baby, do you want to go for a walk? The weather is wonderful, I heard Timothee's voice.
I was in the kitchen putting dishes in the dishwasher after dinner.
- Walk?, - I asked, went up to him and sat next to him on the couch.
- Yes ... we suggested going to the apartment all day, why not get some last breath of air?
- Fresh air? In New York?
He laughed, reached his hand to his face and tucked a lock of hair behind my ear.
- We suggest going to Central Park. There are a lot of people there now, I will put on my masking cap and no one knows me, - he is close.
- Yes, you're just like Clark Kent, only instead of masking glasses you have a cap, - you laughed.
“Exactly,” said Timothee, and mysteriously threw himself away.
- Okay, great, let's go for a walk. We'll eat ice cream and hide from your fans who are still devouring your eyes, - you said, but he caught a subtle hint of jealousy in your voice. Timothee never gave you a reason to be jealous of him, but you couldn't help yourself.
- Hey, my love, you know that my eyes are always only on you, - he answered and pressed me to him. I buried my face into his neck and inhaled his scent. He smelled like home. He was my home. Then I unexpectedly bit him on the tender skin of his neck and heard him moan.
- Are you trying to eat me? We just had dinner, he teased me.
- Yes, but you are my dessert, - I answered and began to appear with kisses to his stomach. But his refining hands stopped me, and Timothee again pressed me to him.
"Hey…" you started offended, but he just laughed at my expression.
- We were going for a walk, remember?
- You're being too suspicious. What are you up too?
“My love, how could you think so badly of me?” He looked offended, but I saw sparks of amusement in his eyes.
- Yes, right ..., - you started to get up from the couch, but he again pressed you to him and hugged you tightly.
"Okay, okay," he said and kissed my hair, "I've got something in mind, but I promise you'll like it."
- What?
- I really want to go to the park with you to watch the sunset, because, you know, I'm a romantic, - he smiled dazzlingly and it seems to me that for this smile I will do everything he asks me, - but I want you to I put on something ... that is ... so that there was something ... in you.
“What?” I asked in surprise and looked at him carefully.
- I want to have a butt plug in your beautiful ass while we taking a walk. The vibrating one,” he said shyly.
“Oh…” I breathed out and didn’t know what to say for a while. Timothee and I loved to play and try new things, I felt confident and safe with him. That is why I immediately felt how hot I felt and my cheeks began to burn.
- And you will control it ..., - you said quietly and looked at him embarrassedly.
He slowly leaned over and whispered in my ear, "Yes. I will control the toy and you, - after which he kissed my neck. I closed my eyes and tried to control my breathing.
- Oh…
“Do you want to play?” he whispered in my ear again.
I pulled myself together, ran my tongue over his lower lip and whispered, - only if you fuck me after a walk.
"Oh baby," he said and kissed me. I smiled into the kiss and ran my fingers through his hair, tugging lightly on it. Timothee groaned against my lips again. Then he pulled away from me, got up from the couch and said excitedly. - I'll go get a toy.
He looked like it was Christmas time and it was time to open presents. I laughed at his excitement. In fact, I felt the same way.
After a couple of minutes, Timothee returned to me with a box in his hands and, looking me straight in the eyes, said, - Take off your pants, my love, and lie down on your stomach. I gladly complied. While I was taking off my clothes, Timothee kept his eyes on me, which made me hotter and wet between my legs.
When I lay down on the sofa, Timothee sat next to me and began to gently stroke my ass. - Are you sure? I don't want you to do what you don't want to do," he said softly.
- I know, my love, you know that I trust you. And I also love to play. And I love you, - I said and looked at him with a wink.
- Oh, I know, baby, - he ran his finger between my folds and groaned softly, - so wet, - after which he looked into my eyes, and, without taking his burning eyes off me, put his finger in his mouth. The sight closed my pussy around the void.
- First of all, baby, you need to prepare you, right? We don't want you to get hurt, do we?” he said softly and took out some lube from the box.
- No,- I answered, and felt his finger slowly penetrate my hole. The lubricant on his finger had a cooling effect. It was only one finger, but I was already feeling good, and I moaned softly, burying my face in the sofa. Timothee began to slowly fuck me with his middle finger.
"Tim..." I moaned.
“Do you want to stop?” he asked and stopped moving.
- No, no, don't stop.
I felt his light kiss on my back, after which Timothee added his index finger and began to slowly develop my ass. After a while, he added 3 fingers. All this time I did not stop moaning quietly. I felt how wet I was. I think I ruined the couch, but I didn't care at the time.
- It seems that you are ready, baby, - Timothee said in a hoarse voice and after a couple of moments I felt Timothee insert an anal plug into my ass. Thanks to his fingers, I didn't feel any pain.
“Are you okay?” Timothee asked me, a little flustered, “does it hurt?”
“Not at all, you have magic fingers,” I replied with a smile, and turned my head to look at him. Timothee was breathing heavily, and in his eyes I saw that he was ready to forget about our plans and take me here and now. Looking down at his pants, I saw how excited he was.
Walk, remember? You laughed lightly and winked at him.
"Minx," Timothee said and slapped my butt, making me moan. Then I felt the plug in my ass begin to vibrate. The sensations were so tense and unexpected that I could not resist and with a cry of “Oh, my God”, buried my face in the sofa, involuntarily lifting my ass up. Timothee leaned towards me, grabbed my hair, lifted my head and whispered terribly in my ear.
"It's not polite to hide such beautiful sounds, didn't you know?"
In response, I only repeated his name again, like a prayer. Then the vibration stopped.
- It was a test version, baby. Don't worry, we'll start with Mode 1 first. You just experienced mode 4.
- Oh my God…
- Ready to go, my love?

Zaid wasn't egotistical (yes he was), but it wasn't uncommon for important people to get a seat at his restaurant, especially after gaining its Michelin star. The hot new 'ethnic' fine-dining eatery of 2017. How Zaid hated the word 'ethnic'; but he didn't hate the attention. Zaid handled every VIP guest with the same calmness he handled his kitchen brigade. But Hye-Jin was something special, not just another VIP from politics or social media. Choi Hye-Jin was someone Zaid genuinely liked - at least her media personality, and her acting.
Meeting her like this, in a situation neither of them had prepared social masks to don (how did one plan for 'marooned on a ship you never boarded?') was surreal. Even now, trapped in thick white-silk rope netting, Hye-Jin somehow managed to look like they were in some editorial photoshoot. Perhaps that was Zaid's personal bias, but he wouldn't be surprised to find a drone hovering above them, snapping photos. Paparazzi or photoshoot; either/or.
The paps definitely followed Hye-Jin around, Zaid remembered that from her visit to Mango.
"I've met others on the ship, same story as us innit," Zaid supplied, trying to be helpful. Trying to keep them calm; granted Hye-Jin looked the picture of calm (even lopsided), and Zaid wasn't exactly hysterical himself. They were politely conversational, like two professionals casually catching up. "No one as famous as you, though."
Meant to be a compliment; but maybe Hye-Jin didn't like praise for just fame alone. Or maybe, given her recent drop in popularity by the masses...fuck. Zaid tried to quickly recoup, "For your acting and all."
Eager to not make an arse of himself more, Zaid confidently said, "Nah, love. Nothing'll more hurt than my ego; and that's got a good beating even before the cruise ship. Not leaving you here, that's for certain. Wish I found a knife in the galley though..." Although even with his knife skills, Zaid was more used to removing truss from roasts, not cutting beautiful actors from climbing rope. "Can you twist your foot a little that way? There's a dear..."
Zaid worked in earnest, getting one ankle freed, then looked up at Hye-Jin to make sure that didn't upset their precarious balance. "You were just at home, fucking hell. Someone else thought it might be kidnapping...I can't even imagine." Hye-Jin asked for more, and Zaid posited, "Erm...well the bridge is directly below us, one deck down. What if there's some...dunno. Manifests? Coordinates? I know bollocks about that, but someone more nautical might know."
Cameras. Zaid curled a lip at the thought, but he could hear that strange disembodied voice on repeat, telling everyone not to be afraid. Welcome to paradise. "If this is paradise, I'll take the dirty streets of New York, thanks. Right. I'm ready to get your other foot free, love. You hanging on tight?" Zaid nodded, once Hye-Jin was ready. One, two-"
Zaid pulled the rope off her other leg, then lurched forward immediately, arm trying to guard her waist, just in case she slipped. "Alright? You got this, love. Come over to me."
"In the flesh and bone, unfortunately. And both are becoming quite cold." The explanation made a little too much sense. Of course she had somehow become all tangled up in the ropes. Wouldn't that be just her luck? It stood for something. How she had become entangled, and fallen. This didn't seem to be as far of a fall as the one before, and for this, Hye-Jin wasn't sure if she should be grateful. One of these instances where she was placing her emotions on the back burner until later. Much later. Perhaps never at all, if she deigned it to be necessary.
His accent was a familiar relief. She sighed, releasing it. Blinking up at the skies which were an unseemly amount of blue for a time like this. The swirling, crashing ocean — it did not fill her with fear, but it made her think very carefully. "I don't think any of us agreed to anything." His first name slipped her mind. It was not for the lack of a marvellous impression. Indeed, when she met him, daydreaming of her next series and already in the throes of stress for finishing up shooting the last, she'd not been in the best place, in her opinion, to socialise. Yet he had been warm, welcome to her. The food he served, delicious enough to reappear on her taste buds afterwards, a culinary journey instead of simple dishes. And, then when she asked to meet him, the icing on top of the cake: he had been handsome. "But somehow, we have all ended up here, on the same boat, in the same damn ocean."
Or summat. She placed that into her arsenal of terms. Once, she had played ( in one of the survivor horror films, branching out of her genre ) a British-Korean protagonist. She had never used summat in her dialogue, but thought that she should have for a more authentic take. These things were always twenty - twenty in hindsight. Gripping the rope as he indicated, then turning and managing to get one hand on the lawn's ledge. The turf provided a rather firm grip, despite her clammy palms. "Are you sure? I don't want you to hurt yourself because of me. Then we'll both be in the pits." The pits, in this case, were the surging waves. She had never been afraid of drowning. Nor perception. But both were appearing rather rapidly.
"You were on the metro? Really? Then you're not the only one who was snatched in the midst of simple business. I was at home. At home. My agent did not send me any agreement for a new series nor for a cruise." When it came to honesty, since Zaid was assisting in getting her down, Hye-Jin resigned herself to some more of it. It was a new leaf, or something. "Do you think there's anything to tell us what's gone on over on that island? If we can make it off. They didn't make this easy. I've no doubt someone on the other end of the camera is laughing." Said directly to him, as he assisted in unwinding the ropes. Lips thinned, betraying her stress.

Avengers x reader - Glitch
You woke up to blinding pain in your face as you groaned. You sat up in your dimly lit room, there were no mirrors in this place, they had all been thrown away a long time ago. If you saw your reflection you were afraid you would go mad, you had seen it once and didn't recover for weeks. The top half of your face was glitched, nearly impossible to explain unless you see it. You couldn't see your eyes, yes you could see, you could see better than any human, but the only thing that looked normal was your hair and mouth. You wore a blue, red and gold cat masquerade mask that you had made to hide your face. You had small black screens on the inside that hid any sight of your 'eyes.' It had a strong band around it that clipped on at the base of your skull to ensure it never came off. You only ever took it off to shower or sleep, that was it. It was about four in the morning, you made your way to your small kitchen and grabbed some pain killers. You had to meet Ray soon, apparently he had another mission for you. Ray was apart of Hydra, yes I know it's terrible blah blah. But it pays the bills, try getting a job when you have to wear a mask over your eyes all the time. So you worked for hydra to pay the bills and feed yourself. You strapped your mask over your face and sighed as you grabbed a breakfast bar to eat before you left your apartment. Good thing about living in New York meant you could get coffee at four am in the morning. You went to the small shop below your apartment.
"Aye Y/N! You headed out to your super secret job again?" The shop clerk said as you chuckled. You had known each other for some time, I suppose he was the closest thing to a friend you had.
"Just give me a coffee and I won't murder you." You said as he chuckled and poured you a cup of steaming coffee.
"We've known each other for like three years and I have humbly served you coffee every day. Will I ever get to see what's under that mask?" He asked, you took the coffee and paid him.
"Unless you want your brain to melt you'll never see my face." You said back with a smile making him chuckled.
"Fine fine, keep your secrets." He exclaimed before you left. You sighed and went into central park where you sat and drunk your coffee. Usually a woman around your age could never do that but you had power and could literally kill someone with one look. You sighed and took a sip of your coffee.
"Y/N." You heard a voice say as you looked up to see Ray.
"Sir." You greeted him as he smiled and sat beside you. He handed you a file as you began to take the contents out.
"James Barnes." You whispered as you looked over the file.
"He was the winter soldier, but the Avengers rescued him. I need you to do some basic re-con. Think you can handle it?" He asked as you nodded.
"Yeah, of course sir." You said making him smile.
"Have you been sleeping and eating enough?" He asked as you smiled a little. Ray pretended to be a badass villain, but deep down he cared about you. He was the only person in this universe that did care for you. Even if it was in the slightest ways. You nodded and felt him gently take your wrists and pull up the sleeve. He ran his thumb over the scars and smiled.
"No more new ones, good." He whispered as you smiled a little. It felt nice to have someone care about your wellbeing.
"I'll leave you to it, call me if you have anymore episodes. Stay safe." He whispered again before he kissed your forehead and left. You sat back on the chair and looked over the documents.
There was a part of you that envied Bucky, he had a family and somewhere safe to heal from what Hydra did to him. You weren't so lucky. The blinding pain came back as you groaned and held the side of your face.
"Are you alright?" You heard a voice ask as you looked up to see a blonde man.
"Y-Yes I'm fine." You muttered.
"Should I call someone for you?" He asked as you smiled a little.
"No it's fine, just normal headaches I get." You muttered as he nodded and sat beside you.
"Who was that guy you were talking to?" He asked, he seemed suspicious. Why would he be asking about Ray?
"J-Just an old friend." You stuttered looking away from him. He looked down at the file in your hand.
"I think it'd be best if you come with me quietly. I'm not in the mood for a fight." He said as he grabbed your wrist.
"I know you work for Hydra." He said as you eyes widened and you quickly escaped his grip. You began running along the park, Hydra had taught you how to fight and escape. But this man was different, he was very fast. He caught up to you and grabbed you.
"I don't want to hurt you! Just come with me!" He shouted as you tried to escape.
"Let go of me!" You shouted back as he spun you around and wrapped his arm around your neck. He was trying to choke you out.
"P-Please, let me g-go." You stuttered as your consciousness began to fade.
"I won't hurt you."
—
You were in so much pain. You woke up to see the blonde man carrying you in his arms. You shoved him off you and fell to the floor.
"You really don't want to fuck with me." You growled as you felt someone grab you from behind.
"Let go!" You screamed as he injected something into your neck.
"No." You whispered as you fell unconscious again.
"Put her in the interrogation room." Tony said as Steve nodded and gently picked you up, he made his way to the interrogation room and sat you down. He carefully cuffed your wrists to the table.
"How long does that stuff work?" Steve asked as Tony entered.
"She should wake up in about forty to-
"Mother fucker!" You shouted as you jumped awake.
"Or a few seconds apparently." Tony mumbled as you tried to break out of the restraints.
"Remind me again why there's a masked person in my tower." Tony said as Steve sighed.
"She was meeting with Ray, and she had a file from Hydra on Bucky." Steve explained, Tony nodded as Steve handed him the file.
"I'm not fucking talking." You growled as Tony walked up to you.
"Well, we're just going to take that mask off and run your face through my systems. Somethings bound to come up." He said as he reached towards your face.
"No! Get away! You can't take my mask off please! Please I beg you!" You shouted as you struggled against the cuffs.
"Please, you don't understand what would happen." You begged as Steve looked at you sadly.
"We have to know who you truly are." Steve said as he held you down and gestured for Tony to take off the mask.
"No!" You screamed as he finally pulled the mask off.
"Don't look at me please!" You screamed as you tried your best to hide your face. But it didn't work.
"W-What the hell?" Tony whispered as he backed away.
"Look away!" You screamed as he quickly covered his eyes, but it was too late for Steve.
"I-It's not possible." He whispered as his nose began bleeding.
"Tony stop him!" You screamed as Tony grabbed him and turned him away, Steve screamed in pain and held onto his hands.
"Close your eyes, leave the key on the table, I will put my mask back on and I won't leave." You said as he nodded and did as you said, you unlocked the cuffs and quickly grabbed your mask securing it on your face.
"I-It's back on, take him to the infirmary. He needs to recover from what he's seen. I will follow you up so you know I'm not escaping." You said as he sighed and looked down at Steve who was shaking and muttering to himself.
"And I can try my best to help him." You whispered as Tony nodded.
"Friday, get Bucky down here. I need another super soldier to lift this super soldier." He said as you chuckled a little.
"What the hell was that?" Tony said as he looked up at you.
"I'll explain it later, let's just get Steve some help." You said, he didn't fight and nodded as Bucky made his way into the room.
"Steve!" He shouted as he rushed to Steve's side.
"Steve, what's wrong? What happened Tony?" Bucky asked in a panic.
"I'll explain later, we just need to get him to the infirmary." You said as Bucky nodded and picked the blonde man up. You followed them into the elevator and sighed.
"And you are?" Bucky asked.
"Y/N. I'm the one that did that to your friend." You muttered as you looked away. Bucky glared at you and was about to say something before the doors opened and you followed them into the infirmary. Bucky laid Steve down as you watched him search for something safe. You placed your hand on his forehead and closed your eyes.
"Bucky, he wants you. He needs you to feel safe." You whispered as Bucky took Steve's hand gently.
"I'm here Steve." He whispered as Steve looked at him.
"P-Please. Make it stop." Steve stuttered out, you felt a pang of guilt in your chest.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do it." You whispered as Bucky glared at you.
"Why were you here in the first place?" He growled.
"She works for Hydra, we were interrogating her. Until we took off her mask, and something happened. I can't even put it into words." Tony muttered as Bucky stood up and cornered you.
"You work for Hydra." He growled as he held him hand up to your throat and squeezed.
"Bucky." Tony warned as he stood, Bucky took the pressure off your throat as you looked up at him in fear.
"Fix Steve, or I'll kill you with my bare hands." He growled as you shrunk under his gaze.
"I-I'm sorry, of course Sir." You whispered in fear.
"Bucky calm down, she's going to help us. And then we will question her." Tony said in your defence.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean any of this." You whispered weakly.
"It's ok Y/N, we'll work all of this out." Tony said as you nodded and sat beside Steve.
"I can get him back." You said as you held onto Steve's hand and closed your eyes. You began reciting words in a language no one could place, Tony and Bucky just watched in anticipation.
Steve gasped and shot up in the bed and looked around.
"W-What happened?" He muttered as Bucky jumped up and hugged him tightly.
"I thought I'd lost you." Bucky whispered as you smiled a little.
"I just remember us about to question you and then everything went blank." He muttered, Bucky pulled away and glared at you.
"I suppose you would like an explanation. Also my name is Y/N." You said to Steve as he smiled.
"Hurry up or you're going into a cell." Bucky growled, you took in a deep breath.
"I come from another universe, there was an evil guy there that cursed me or something. Next thing I knew I was here, but my face was distorted and glitched. I took one look in the mirror and it was as if everything around me was collapsing, my reality was tearing apart. I collapsed and people tried to help me but one glance at my face and their minds broke. I destroyed a lot of peoples lives. So I found this mask, altered it a bit and never took it off. I was living on the streets, no one was going to give me a job if I had to wear this mask all the time. That's when Ray found me, I told him everything and he got up enough money to buy me an apartment. He told me he would get me a job that pays well, so I started working for Hydra and doing missions for them." You muttered while looking away from them, it was hard bringing up the past.
"So, you're an aberration in this reality?" Tony asked as you nodded.
"I-I'm not very valuable to Hydra so they wouldn't look for me here, b-but Ray may get worried." You muttered, Steve sighed and looked at Tony.
"We would have to talk to shield about what punishment you would get for all of this." Tony said making you nod.
"I-I accept any punishment, I know what I do is wrong." You whispered, there was a part of Steve that felt sorry for you. That wanted to just hug you and give you some hot cocoa.
"For the time being we need to put you in a cell." Tony said, you nodded and stood up. Suddenly you fell to your knees and cried out in pain as you body began to glitch. It hurt so bad.
"Shit, what do we do!?" Tony shouted as the men looked at you helplessly. You stopped as got your breath back.
"S-Sorry, it happens sometimes when I get stressed." You muttered as they sighed in relief.
"Sometimes I can accidentally teleport, so if I disappear randomly that's why." You muttered as you slowly stood up and groaned in pain.
"Let's get you into a cell, at least you can rest in there."
—
You had fallen asleep on the small bed in the cell.
"She doesn't deserve any of this, just a girl that got mixed up in the wrong things." Steve whispered to Tony.
"Maybe I can persuade shield to let her work here to pay off her dept or something." Tony suggested.
"Sir, Fury is about to start the meeting." The A.I said as Tony sighed.
"Let's get this over and done with."
—
You groaned and woke up from your deep sleep. You looked around and let your memories come back of where you were and why you were here. If you ever left this tower someone from Hydra would definitely kill you in a second. You sighed and sat up as you looked out into the tower. Ray warned you to never get caught, you couldn't help but start to cry as black liquid ran down your cheeks. You felt like you had failed him, and he was the last person you wanted to fail in this world.
"I-I'm sorry." You muttered as the black liquid pooled at your feet.
"Y/N." You heard a voice say as you looked up to see Steve. You quickly wiped your face and took a deep breath.
"H-Hey, sorry." You muttered as he smiled softly.
"It's ok, we talked to Shield. Tony convinced them to let you work and live here to pay off your dept. You'll be like an assistant to Tony just general things, nothing illegal like Hydra." He joked as you chuckled a little and sighed in relief.
"Thank you so much Steve, I-I was so afraid." You muttered as he opened the cell door. You followed him out as his arm brushed against you and you flinched.
"S-Sorry." You muttered as he rested his hand on your shoulder.
"It's ok, Bucky was exactly the same. Would you like a hug?" He asked opening his arms. You blushed a little and hugged him tightly as you shivered a little. You weren't used to physical affection, he wrapped his arms around you in return.
"You're gonna be safe here Y/N, we'll all protect you." He whispered as you felt him run his hand through your hair.
"I'm sorry for hurting you." You muttered back.
"It's ok, that wasn't your fault." He replied making you smile, you pulled away gently.
"T-Thanks, I needed that." You whispered, Steve smiled before you followed him into the elevator.
"I-I understand why Bucky is protective, I know how badly they treated him in Hydra. But I want him to know I wouldn't do anything to hurt him or anyone else." You muttered in a small voice.
"He knows that, he's just protective of me." Steve said as you nodded, the doors open and you stepped out to see the rest of the team.
"H-Hello everyone." You muttered quietly, usually you were confident but you felt insecure now.
"So you're the Hydra agent?" Nat said as you shrunk a little.
"Nat, be nice." Steve warned. He introduced you to everyone, although most glared at you.
"I-If I'm going to live here am I allowed to have things from my apartment brought here?" You asked Steve.
"Yeah, Tony could probably send Happy to get a few things." Steve replied as you nodded and sat down on the couch.
"I-I suppose I can't leave for a while. R-Ray will be looking for me." You whispered while looking down at your hands.
"Maybe we could draw Ray in, to meet up with Y/N. And then catch him." Bucky suggested as you shook a little.
"N-No I don't want to betray him, he's my friend." You said as Bucky glared at you.
"Y/N, it might be our only chance to catch him." Steve said as you stood up.
"No! I am paying off my punishment here but I won't help you take Ray in!" You shouted, Bucky grabbed you and pinned you against the wall as you shook.
"Bucky enough!" Steve shouted and pulled him off you.
"We'll talk about this later, why don't you go to your room and get some rest Y/N. The team has a lot to discuss." Steve said, you nodded and left back into the elevator. You asked the A.I where your room was and followed the directions until you were met with a clean modern room. You desperately needed some time alone, you made sure to cover up all the mirrors before you took off you mask and sighed. You went into the bathroom and stripped off your clothes and cleaned yourself off.
After you were done in the shower you collapsed onto the bed and sighed. The last thing you wanted to do was betray Ray, he was the only person in this world that cared about you. You decided to let your mind have a break and went back to sleep in the warm comfortable bed.
—
"Y/N?" You heard a voice say, was that Ray? You opened your eyes to see yourself sitting on a park bench out in the cold night air.
"R-Ray, what are you doing here?" You muttered as you looked around in confusion.
"You asked me here, are you ok? You told me you wanted to meet up." He said as you looked down at your hands. Ray gently took one of your hands as you looked up at him.
"What's wrong dear?" He asked as you tried to calm yourself.
"Shit, Wanda's spell wore off! We have to move now!" You heard someone say in your ear as your eyes widened.
"Run." You whispered to Ray as he looked at you in confusion.
"Y/N, what's going on?" He asked in worry.
"Run! They're going to catch you! I'm sorry!" You shouted as you tried to shove him along.
"Not another step!" You heard Bucky say as he pointed his gun at Ray.
"You bastards! You used me!" You screamed as you ripped off your mask.
"Fuck you all!" You screamed before someone tackled you to the ground.
"Everyone look away!" Bucky shouted as you screamed out, suddenly your disappeared as Clint and Nat got Ray into handcuffs.
"What the hell did you do to her?" Ray growled at Bucky.
You gasped and looked around to see yourself on top of the Avengers tower.
"T-They controlled me." You whispered as you began to sob. You felt your mask in your hand and quickly secured it back onto your face. Suddenly a jet landed behind you as you tried to hide yourself. Steve and Tony came running out to see you sobbing on the ground.
"Y/N! What's going on!?" Tony shouted as they came closer.
"Get away from me! Why! Why did you do it!" You screamed as they looked at you in confusion.
"Doll what happened?" Steve asked as he stopped Tony from coming any closer.
"You betrayed me! You controlled me to get to Ray!" You screamed as tears ran down your face.
"Darling, look at us. We were out on a mission, did something happen?" Tony said as you looked up, maybe they didn't know what had happened.
"T-They controlled my mind and m-made me meet up with Ray so they could capture him. T-They controlled me!" You shouted as Steve and Tony looked at each other with worry.
"Darling who did?" Tony asked as you hiccuped and wiped away your tears.
"B-Bucky, Nat, Clint and Wanda were there." You whispered as Steve slowly made his way to you.
"Doll, we had no idea he did that. We're so sorry, we'll talk to them. I just need you to take some deep breaths. You're safe now." Steve muttered as he finally made it to you and gently wrapped his arms around your shaking body.
"Shh doll, I've got you. You're safe now." He whispered as you cried and cuddled into his embrace.
"I'm so sorry Y/N, they shouldn't have done that. They didn't tell us anything." You heard Tony say as you looked up to see him. He smiled softly and held out a hand to help you stand. You wiped away your tears and stood up.
"Sir, Bucky and the rest of the team are in the living room." Friday said as Steve took your hand gently and pulled you back inside.
"We'll take you to your room while we talk to Bucky." Steve said as you shook your head.
"N-No I need to see Ray." You whispered as Steve smiled softly.
"We'll tell him you're safe and you can see him later, we need you to just be safe and in your room while we talk to everyone." Steve replied as you nodded a little.
"O-Ok." You whispered back, you let them lead you to your room.
"Call out to Friday if you need us darling." Tony said with a kind smile as you nodded and watched them leave. You laid down on your bed and switched the TV on and tried to relax.
Steve and Tony made it downstairs. Steve was fuming and Tony could tell.
"James Barnes!" Steve yelled when the doors opened.
"Steve before you start this was the only way!" Bucky shouted in defence as Steve grabbed him by the collar.
"Tony talk to Ray." Steve demanded as he pulled Bucky into the meeting room.
Ray looked to Tony and glared at him.
"Where is she?" He growled as Tony sighed.
"She's resting in her room, she's safe." Tony replied, Ray sighed in relief.
"Good."
—
You could hear yelling downstairs but you tried to block it out. You heard the door open and looked up to see Ray and Tony. You ran up and hugged Ray tightly as he hugged you back.
"I'm glad you're safe dear. Tony let me see you before Shield takes me, I have to go to prison and pay for everything I've done darling. They'll let you visit me at any time." He whispered, you nodded and squeezed him before letting go.
"Thank you for everything." You replied as his kissed your forehead.
"I'll see you soon little one." He whispered before two guards took him back into the elevator.
"Steve's still screaming at Bucky, do you want to come get some food?" Tony asked as you nodded. You followed Tony back downstairs and let him make you some dinner, you weren't sure where the rest of the team was. You heard a noise and looked up to see Bucky and Steve. Bucky looked like a kicked puppy.
"Y/N, I'm sorry for what I did to you. There's no excuse for it, I did exactly what Hydra would've done. I was just scared and jealous of you." He muttered as you hugged yourself a little. You couldn't form any words.
"It's important for you to feel safe here Y/N, they won't ever pull anything like that again." Steve said as you nodded.
"T-Thank you for apologising Bucky. B-But I think it'll be a while till I can trust you." You whispered as he nodded shamefully.
"I understand, I'll do whatever I can to make you feel safe here." He said, you nodded and watched him leave as you sighed.
"Thank you for standing up for me Steve." You said as he smiled and sat beside you.
"There's no excuse for what they did. I promise you you're going to be safe here, we'll all protect you." Steve said as you hugged him tightly. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around you.
"I'm safe."

Kate Bishop x Reader Not Who You Think I Am part 1
Summary: You and Kate know everything about each other, or at least that's what both of you thought. This is the first time you realized that you had your secrets, and she had yours. And those secrets might tear the two of apart and you want to come clean, but it's going to take time to build up that kind of courage.
You didn't want to believe it when your eyes landed on her. Some of your guys were busy loading the cargo of weapons onto the ship. When an arrow soared through the air and struck one of them in the leg. He let out a cry of pain falling to the ground with his legs clutched in his hands. Your head snapped towards the direction the arrow came from eyes scanning the roof for the assailant. It was to see who it was in the darkness but you saw the form of a person. Whoever it was they were notching another arrow in the bow, and was getting ready to take aim again.
Your men were had failed to take cover and were practically sitting ducks. Honestly you couldn't careless about rather or not one of them got hurt, but you needed them to finish the job tonight, and to get through the rest. Which meant you couldn't afford to lose them to an injury, or even worse jail time. You pulled your mask down over your face, and leapt down from the truck. You tucked and rolled onto the ground coming up just in time to knock away the second arrow with your sword scabbard. You pulled your sword free a second later, and stood guard.
"Get the weapons on the ship now I'll provide cover" You ordered. They hesitated hovering around the injured man unsure.
"Leave him we'll get him help afterwards we have to finish this job tonight" You shouted swinging your sword in downward arc slicing another arrow clean in half.
Your men scrambled after that block and got to back to work with loading the cargo. The archer hadn't notched another arrow instead they brought their bow now just looking in your direction. Still you stayed poised to knock down anything they might send your way. But then the mystery person stepped back under the moon, and the light illuminated their entire face. The grip on your sword faltered as you let out a gasp.
It was Kate Bishop.
Your best friend since the fifth grade when you and her teamed up to get revenge on the class bully for making the new kid cry, and as of two months ago your girlfriend after you finally got the guts to just kiss her on New Years.
There was just no way this was happening. Kate Bishop had taken over her mother's security firm since her mother got arrested, and was still in jail awaiting her court date. She told you that Hawkeye himself with some new partner had caught her mother in some scandal with the Kingpin. One of the biggest crime lords in New York City, and called the cops on her mother for putting a hit on the Avenger.
She told you this after Clint had brought to her apartment that night, because she couldn't be alone after that. You believed her but now it was obvious to you she had left out a huge piece of information. That she was Hawkeye's partner and really this shouldn't be so shocking to you.
You knew how much Kate loved archery, and she became obsessed with it after witnessed Hawkeye in action. During the alien invasion ten years ago and was determined to be a hero like him one day. But you never thought that day would come running security for the wealthy and the elite would be enough for her. But then again you never thought you would have to fill in brother's shoes after he went, and got himself killed. Part of you wasn't surprised when Maya turned up on your door that night. Just before Kate made it to tell you that Kaz was dead, and Kingpin was presumed dead. She wanted you to know the truth about his death, and what she had done.
Even though you were angry and hurt about not being there to save him, and thought about revenge. In the end you didn't blame Maya for what she did. After all you knew she was telling the truth when she said that Kaz didn't give her a choice. The Tracksuit Mafia was your older brother's entire life and he wanted it be his legacy. You begged him to leave the criminal life behind, and to let go of the idea that Maya would give up her empire to him if he couldn't. But he refused to listen to you and his ambitions got him exactly where you knew they would. As far as things went Kingpin it was better for everyone if he was truly dead. But Maya was also there to warn that if he wasn't dead then. Wilson Fisk would be looking for someone to pick up the pieces of the Tracksuit Mafia that Hawkeye and his partner left behind.
And who was better than the little sister of the former second in command leader. It didn't take long for Wilson Fisk's men to track you down, and tell exactly what he wanted. The big man himself was actually in hiding apparently the gunshot to the head hadn't killed, but it sure did a lot of damage. Kingpin felt like he wasn't asking for too much all he wanted was for you to finish what your brother had started, and close up some deals. Then you could go free after you never swore loyalty to him. So you agreed to do just that as long as you were free to move on with your life no strings attached. After it was done and surprisingly Wilson Fisk agreed too those terms. You figured he would just double cross you later, but decided you would worry about that bridge when it was time to cross it.
But now you had another bride that needed to be crossed sooner rather than later. Kate checked her wrist then turned around to disappear into the night. You tightened your grip on your sword rooted in that spot, with the entire shipyard in your line of vision just in case. She was trying out a new tactic and thirty minutes later one of your men tapped you on the shoulder. Breaking your focus your gaze settled on him.
"We're done loading the ship it's ready to go" He said frowning. At the faraway look in your eyes "is everything okay? Is the vigilante gone? Do you want us too look into?"
"No" you yelled holding up both of your hands. Your sword clattered to the ground, and his suspicion grew even more. "I just mean the last thing we need is for Kingpin to think I can't handle some amateur with a bow. Let's not disturb him yet."
He stared at you for a few more seconds, but eventually he nodded his head. Knowing you were right Fisk was already on edge, and no one wanted to enrage him even more.
You made sure the injured guy got to the Tracksuit Mafia's personal doctor as promised. After making sure all of the cargo was on the ship and it was headed off to the right destination. Then you made your way home where Kate was waiting for you with pizza and ice cream.
"I know I promised a home cooked meal, but I got stuck at the office late. I'll make it to you" she said guilt all over her face.
Throwing your gym bag on the floor you walked over to her, and wrapped your arms around her waist. Pulling her to you then your lips were on hers in desperate and feverish kiss. She frowned at your behavior pulling away for just a second.
"Y/N what's wrong did you hav- Kate started to ask but was cut off by your lips capturing hers again. You backed her into a wall tightening your hold on her as her arms wrapped around your neck to deepen the kiss. A minute later you finally moved away resting your forehead on hers panting.
"Okay not that I didn't enjoy the greeting, but what was that for? Are you okay?" Her voice was laced with concern letting you know she wasn't going to drop it.
"I'm fine I just realized today just how much I really love you, and could never stand to lose this." You told her leaning forward to plant a kiss on her cheek.
"Y/N hey hey just wait" she tried taking your face in her hands, and forcing you to look her in the eyes. Tears were forming in yours and you didn't even realize it. Kate began to wipe away the few that escaped with her thumbs. "I don't know what's gotten you like this but I love you too, and nothing will ever separate us."
Oh if only she knew the truth. You wanted nothing more to tell her in that moment, but you knew that she would immediately take those words back. And leave you alone or maybe even call the cops on you after all she had gotten her own mother arrested. What would make you any different? This just wasn't fair.
"Hey y/n stop crying sweetheart did you hear me nothing will ever come between us. I promise there isn't anything in this world that can make me stop loving you." Her voice brought you back out of your thoughts as you nodded. Kate pressed a kiss to your forehead.
"I still want you the food can wait" you murmured before pressing your lips to hers. This time Kate complied and led the two of you to the bedroom kicking the door closed with the heel of her foot. Lucky was too busy knocking the pizza off the table to disturb the two of you anyway. There would be no pizza for later but it didn't matter because neither of you came out of the room till noon the next day.

Secret
Peter parker x gn!Reader
*Readers appearance isn't specified*
Warnings: like 1 swear word
Summary: you find out Peter's secret and won't tell on one condition
You and Peter had been assigned as partners for a project in chemistry. It was a major grade and you both just wanted to get over with. So he said you should come over to his apartment to work on it at about 4pm. You didn't mean to get there at 3:45 but your mom is a busy woman and needed to drop you off a bit early to get some other arrands done. She won't even be able to pick you up today.
By the time you found his apparent it was 3:50 this wasnt your first time stopping by. Whether you should wait in the hallway since it wasn't the right time yet or go inside you were still wondering. But when you got there aunt May had just happened to open the door. Holding a trash bag in her hand she greeted," Oh what a suprise! Hi Y/n! Peter went out but should be coming back by the time he said."
"Thanks Mrs. Parker."
"None of that. Call me May." And with a smile she held the door open for you to let your self inside the apartment. You just went to Peter's room since that's where you would anytime else.
Sitting down on his bed you pulled out your phone as you waited. Not long at all after you heard his window being raised,'when will he ever put oil on that thing?' You thought. Standing up to go pull it back down, you see it's already back down. Rummaging on the other side of the room followed and you head turned to the noise. It was Peter but half naked, Spider man suit at his ankles, rushed Peter. Wait. Spider man suit at his ankles.
"Yeah uh Hi."
"You're Spider man!?"
After shushing you he pleaded," I'm not, I'm not, I just... I-"
"That's so cool! I won't tell I promise... on one condition."
"Whats the condition?" You didn't answer immediately. "C'mon Y/n what's the condition? Please."
"I want a ride."
"A ride?"
"Yes! Your always swinging around New York."
"Oh," he said much more relieved. "You sure? It's way more scarier than it looks."
"Yes I'm sure. In fact um, can you swing me home? My mom can't pick me up today."
"Uh yeah. Sure, but can I-" He was trying to say but was interrupted putting a shirt on.
"Is Peter back yet?" Aunt may asked barging in. "Oh! Well welcome back Peter, I'll be going now." Giving Peter a thumbs up she closed the door.
"Let's just do the assignment now. This is getting weird."
"Yeah," He agreed pulling on some sweats and joining you on his bed where you has sat down.
You both had finished sooner than expected but you did rush a bit to get to your condition. You packed up as Peter put his suit back on.
"Ready?"
"Ready," the excitement in your voice put a small smile on Peter's as he put his mask on.
"Okay uh," he walked over to his window and you followed. He put your arms around his neck and in your ear told you to jump. When his hand brushed your butt on the way to your thighs he said a quick,"sorry."
He leaned back and went head first slowly out the window sticking onto the top part of the window and the brick next to it until he was completely out. He held one hand one hand on your back keeping you pressed into him and over his shoulder you looked down.
"Woah." 6 stories up was really 6 stories up. 'Of course, idiot,'you thought,'No backing down now you asked for this!'
"Yeah, woah. If you want to walk, I'll walk you home."
"No. Nope. I'm doing this." Your fear was bleeding into your voice and you hoped he didn't hear. He did of course.
"Hey," his voice was soft head still resting on your shoulder,"you're more safe then you realize. Promise. I'd never drop you."
That last part was unnecessary as you clamped onto him a bit more,"uh sorry. But I mean it, it's okay. And if you ever want off I'll let you off."
"Okay," you said between deep but somehow shallow breaths,"okay. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this."
You felt the rumbling of someone trying to hold in their laugh under you. "It's not funny!" You said with a smile on your face.
"It's a little funny..."
"Just swing, peter."
"Okay your wish is my command." And he took off the wind hitting you so suddenly was something that would take a while to get used to. You somehow found a way to hold on tighter and did.
"Hey um, Y/n? I know you're scared but I can't really breathe so.."
"Oh shit sorry. Wait I'm not scar-", at that moment Peter dipped low before shooting another web and you couldn't help the scream you let out into his shoulder.
"Not scared?"
"I was scammed."
"I experimented, and my results were as predicted." His tone was cocky. When did he get so confident.
"How far away are we?" You said trying to change the subject. He let out the laugh he'd been holding in then, you could help yours.
"A few more blocks. Why? Want to get off?"
"Never."
"Suit yourself." He did another dip in his swinging, you choked down the scream you desperately wanted to let out but replaced it with very heavy breathing. Due to the wind you thought he didn't pick it up.
"You know I have advanced hearing right?" You really wanted to punch him. But not when he's the only thing keeping you afloat.
"Oh my God," you said as you plopped your head on his shoulder. "Is there anything you can't do?"
"I can't seem to get your attention." He said it under his breath but being as close as you were you picked it up.
"What do you mean?" But unfortunately you were arriving at your apartment. With a sigh you said," I leave my window open. 7th floor on the right side of the building." He went the complete opposite way. "No other way," you corrected. He brought you to your room and used a web to pull the window open. After helping you inside he tried to leave but you grabbed his wrist. "What do you mean?" You had to know at this point, you needed to know if what you felt was acting shared.
"Y/n," he took a breath. "I'm really tired of being friends. I loved being friends, yeah, but- only if your okay with it I just have- you know. I really like you. And I have for a while but I feel like I'm nothing but a friend to you." He stepped into your room. Thank God your door was closed.
"Peter! Why didn't you tell me sooner? I like you too. I have for a while now actually." The grin on his face made him seem like he might explode.
"Yeah?" He took off his mask.
"Yeah!"
"Yeah." He sounded so relieved. He stepped right up to you and put his hands on his waist. "Can I?"
"Please?" And you both finally released the tension between you too in a well needed kiss.
"Y/n? Is that you? I'm sorry I couldn't pick up up today, but I'm glad you got home safe!"
"It's my mom." You said reluctantly breaking the embrace.
"I should go 'cause May will wonder where I am and- yeah."
Before he put his mask back on. You placed a quick peck on his cheek. He flushed near immediately. "Bye."
"Bye. Wait you wont tell right?"
"Nope!" Mask on or off the smile was present as he stepped out your window and with a little wave, swang off.

Gone
peter parker x reader ∣ 4.5k ∣ angst
summery: sometimes memories haunt for the worse
warnings: angst, heartbreaking guilt and grieving, little language, attempted rape (nothing happens)
notes: sorry
It had been too long.
Too long without Peter holding you in his arms, laughing in your ear as you told the most stupid jokes, seeing your smile. Too many days have passed without hearing his name fall from your lips; his own personal music.
You had been gone a month now, but it was a month too long, and it killed Peter that it won't ever get better. You were never coming back. Peter stared at his mask in his hands. The same mask he wore the day he met you. The same mask he saw you for the final time in.
He couldn't keep neglecting his duties. For a month, Spider-Man hasn't been spotted, and crime had slowly started to get more bold as they started to think Spider-Man wasn't coming back. You wouldn't want him to stop.
For the first time in thirty days, Peter took a deep breath before pulling his mask on over his head, Karen's familiar voice greeting the boy after being gone so long. Pulling himself outside, he climbed up the wall until he stood on the roof, the summer afternoon warm with cool breezes blowing through the air.
New York hadn't changed, the streets still busy with people and cars, the skyscrapers reaching up to the sky, the flashing lights of department stores and neon signs. No, New York wasn't different, it just looked different because Peter was.
Replacing his usual mindset of hopefulness and opportunity, all he saw was the bittersweet past.
Trying to shake away the memories that only brought him pain, Peter took another deep breath before jumping off, shooting a web across the street. He swung relatively low for a couple of blocks before he got back into the groove of it, the actions like riding a bike.
But he almost fell when he swung past a single lone lamppost in front of a small park.
Where he met you.
"Are you waiting for someone?"
Peter had swung by here earlier, and saw a girl standing awkwardly on the sidewalk, hopeful look on her face as she stared into the park, and he smiled to himself as he kept going past, wanting to find something else to do. But coincidentally he came back this way, and two hours later, the same pretty girl was standing in the same place, hope gone from her features.
She screamed at the sudden voice appearing next to her, and she swung her fist as she spun around to face the voice, and Peter had grabbed onto the light post, using it to help him dodge your fist while he was sticking to it upside down.
"Sorry!" He laughed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He watched as your face changed from fear to confusion to realization, and surprisingly, anger.
"What the hell? You can't sneak up on people like that!" You scolded him, and Peter tilted his head to the side. "What if I had hurt you?"
"Then I would've apologized for scaring you, as I'm doing now," Peter chuckled, not wanting to tell her just yet that the chances of her blow actually have landing were very low in the first place. "Sorry,"
Carefully, you looked at Spider-Man. "Please don't do that again."
"I won't. Promise." He held out his hand to shake yours, except with him being upside down and all, it was an awkward angle for you to take it. "Spider-Man," He introduced himself.
"I know who you are," You let go of his gloved hand. "Y/N," You paused. "Why are you upside down?"
"Oh! Is it weird?" Peter asked, flipping down, you taking a step back. "I'll stand. Hey," He paused. "You didn't accept my apology?" he pointed out curiously.
"Well, you scared me. That's a big no-no in my book. I don't like being scared."
"I'm so sorry!" He let out a breath, thinking. "How about I..." You raised an eyebrow as you waited for him to finish his sentence. "Let me make it up to you?"
You smiled, and the second Peter saw it was the first second he realized he was falling for you. Hard. "Alright, Spider-Man,"
Peter made a hard left, he needed to get away from the spot that made the memory play on repeat in his head. Blinking a couple of times, he pushed back the memory. Now was not the time to let you into his mind, he needed to do his job.
"Hey! My bag!" Peter heard a guy yell, and he quickly scoured the sidewalk until he found the culprit, pushing through the crowded sidewalk, holding a bookbag to his chest, and he dived down.
"That's not yours!" Peter yelled, webbing the backpack and pulling it out of the thieves arms, appearing right in front of him.
"What the—" Peter cut him off, webbing the guys chest and tugging him forward, kicking his legs from underneath him and then webbing him to the sidewalk.
Peter smiled to himself, only briefly though. He hasn't been able to truly smile for a while, but it was nice to know he wasn't too rusty.
"Thank you!" The man who shouted about his bag being nabbed appeared next to Peter, bending over a little as he tried to catch his breath from running. "Thanks, Spidey. I'm glad you're back."
Peter handed the bag over. "Me too." He told the man before shooting a web and taking off back into the air.
That was only a half truth. Part of Peter thought he shouldn't be back so soon, but he other part of him thought he was gone long enough. But he also thought about how weird it was to start taking out bad guys without his partner.
Although, he couldn't kid himself. The thrill of being Spider-Man was slowly starting to come back the longer he was out on his first patrol in a month. He couldn't get rid of the fear that was still in his head, no, that was never going away.
That fear of losing someone else he cared about is what kept him from moving on, why when Ned set him up on a blind date with one of his family friends, he couldn't enjoy it, even after he forced himself to go. It had been four months since you'd been gone by then, but there was no way Peter was moving on that easily, not when everything reminded him of you.
Like his old glasses.
Peter was just getting over his nerves of bringing you home to meet May for the first time as you entered his room, looking around. May had loved you, and his aunt had pulled him aside him how she thought you were perfect for him.
"How come I never see you wear these?" You picked up a case and opened the black box, pulling out a pair of brown and orange full rimmed glasses and holding them up.
"Oh," Peter stepped forward. "Well, after, you know, I got bit, it kinda fixed everything that was wrong with me, including my eyesight." He explained. "So I really don't need them anymore."
"Except that eyebrow," you smirked. "Can I have them?" You giggled, putting the case down and slipping the glasses onto your face.
"Sure," Peter smiled as you pushed your hair back behind your ear and looked at him.
"What do you think?" You posed a little. "Like 'em?"
Peter was speechless. The boy already knew he was in love with you, although neither of you had said it yet, and this, seeing you smile yet again at him and acting childish, just added to the list of things he loved about you.
"Pete?" You asked him with a light laugh after watching him space out from thought for a couple of seconds.
"What?" He shook his head and sighed, bringing himself back to reality. "You look beautiful, you always do,"
"Aw, thanks," you stepped toward him, watching his smile widen as you wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him. No matter how many times you did that, or he did, he could never get used to the blissful feeling that ran through him. "You're not too bad looking yourself, Pete,"
"Oh, wow," Peter laughed and you smirked.
"What?" You let go of him and took off his glasses. "I can barely see you with those on! Everything was so blurry, I'm surprised I actually got your lips!"
"My eyesight wasn't that bad," Peter argued. "And now I'm not sure you should keep those. I want you to see me."
"You keep telling yourself that," you chuckled as Peter wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed you again. "And don't worry, I want to see you too,"
"Oh," the two of you turned to face Aunt May's voice from the doorway. "Am I interrupting something?" She asked with a small grin.
"Just Peter being a dork, like always," you snickered and Peter bumped your shoulder with his.
"I'm your dork though, you're stuck with me." He told you.
"Wouldn't want it to be anyone else,"
At the memory, Peter grabbed the case his glasses were in and shoved them under his bed, trying to figure out why he hadn't done that a while ago. He felt his eyes tearing up, and quickly wiped them. He was supposed to be going to sleep, he didn't need to stay up any longer.
He didn't go out as Spider-Man everyday. Not as much as he used too. Even though he's been back in business for a couple of months, sometimes it was just too overwhelming and he needed to take a break for a couple of days; which he should've done beforehand anyways but never did.
Ned was ecstatic to be Peter's guy in the chair again, and for Peter getting over the major hurdle that kept him from being a hero again, although his friend knew that Peter really wasn't over it. Not all the way. He could still see the fear and hurt in his eyes. Ned knew he wasn't over you.
The two boys found a way to hack into the police radios, so instead of mindlessly swinging around until he found something good, Peter could just have Karen tune in to the nearest precinct and see if anything was called in that way. Over time, it had proved useful, Peter taking out some tougher opponents that were more hidden than random muggers and assaults.
But when he ran into the Gunther family, who were notorious for dealing drugs again, he had to clear his mind before taking them out.
"Damn, how big is your family?" Peter heard you make a remark as you took out a guy effortlessly, but five more men swarmed into the room.
He glanced over at you in your blue and black suit, looking flawless as you always did in his mind, and none the less attractive, even as your face contorted into focus to dodge the knives slashing through the air at you.
To the world, you were Nightshade. Deadly, but your healing powers came in handy whenever Peter got hurt on patrol.
You told Peter about your powers the same day you found out Spider-Man was actually Peter Parker, the boy you had been crushing on ever since the beginning of middle school. After that, it didn't take long for you to get a suit of your own and to officially fight crime by Peter's side instead of in dark alleys, alone, with a bandanna tied around your face to mask your identity.
The both of you knew the job was dangerous, and ever since you started fighting together, you watched each other's backs. It was nice to know that the both of you now were able to have all directions covered, working in semi-perfect sync.
"Hey Spidey," you grunted towards him, using your garrote as a whip to trip a man charging at you. "Your five o'clock, coming right atcha," you warned him, and when you glanced over, you saw him turn left. "Your other five o'clock!" You rolled your eyes as he just nearly missed a clock to the head and instead grabbed the guys hand, spinning him and flinging him to the wall, webbing him there. "Where's your tingle when you need to use it?" You asked him, jumping behind him as you scoped out the area.
"Not you too! Stop calling it my tingle!" He groaned even though he was wearing a smile under his mask. "I think we're good." He dropped his hands. The two of you had everyone incapacitated.
"Hell yeah, we are," you grinned, and the both of you high fived before calling the police and leaving the scene.
The Gunthers either got out of jail early, or some of them escaped before they could get there, because Peter couldn't mistake their faces as he jumped right into the middle of a deal.
The buyers were the first to run, and only one got away before Peter shot a web grenade at the exit and the people got caught like flies in a spiders web.
"It's the Spider-Guy again!" Blake Gunther, the ringleader Graham Gunther's son, announced to the room.
"It's Spider-Man." Peter corrected, shooting a web and yanking the knife out of his hand. "But I'll give you benefit of the doubt, you haven't been around to see the news I assume,"
"Yeah, that's right," Blake growled, launching himself at Peter. "And I'm going to kill you for it."
"You can try, but it's gonna take a lot more than three people." Peter replied, ducking under a left hook and shooting two webs at a man behind him, one hitting his face so he couldn't see and the other yanking him off balance.
"Looks like you're down a person too," Blake chuckled. "Where's your girlfriend, Spidey?"
Peter knew he only asked the question teasingly, not knowing you were his real girlfriend, but anger rose in his chest anyway, and his usual boundaries he used to limit himself were temporarily gone as he punched Blake in the face. Hard. Knocking him out in one blow. He heard the last person come up behind him, and he jumped, flipping over him and kicking him in the back, into the wall, and he crumpled to the floor.
Peter stood, breathing heavily for a moment before he shook his head and took off, hearing the police sirens getting louder and closer.
He went to a high place, hidden, and took off his mask to breath easier. He was rethinking about whether he was really ready to be back as Spider-Man yet. There were so many people you and him took down together, so many the two of you put into jail looking for revenge, you naturally made enemies.
But if he was going to fight them again, was it really safe to risk his anger taking over every single time one of them mentioned you? Peter had always made sure when he hurt someone, it wouldn't have any lasting effects, but thinking about how hard he punched Blake, the man might be unconscious for a while. Wouldn't that be a story for J. Jonah Jameson to twist way out of proportion?
He took a couple of days off, confiding in May and Ned, telling them everything he was feeling, and the two of them trying their best to help him.
The day Peter thought he had everything under control was the day he found out just how wrong he was.
"Somebody! Please! Help m—" Peter was on his way home for the night when he heard a woman scream for help, followed by a muffled scream and a mans voice.
"Shut up before I make you!" He hissed. "I'd hate to put a bullet in that pretty little head of yours, but I will."
Not on Peter's watch, he told himself, quickly turning in the direction he heard the woman scream and swung as fast as he could.
But unfortunately for him, the man heard him coming, and he held the crying woman in front of him, letting Peter get a glimpse of the gun before pressing it harshly into her back.
"You've got two options:" the man smiled evilly. "Move, and she dies, or better yet, back up slowly and leave us be to have our fun."
"Please," The woman started, but the man tightened his grip around her neck.
"Hey," Peter started, holding his hands out defensively. "No one needs to get hurt here," He stepped forward, but stopped when he heard the guns safety flick off.
"That's what everyone always says, but I'm tellin' you now, either someone is gettin' hurt, or no one is. Take your pick, Spider-Man."
"How about you drop the gun, give me her, and I let you go?" Peter prompted.
"Good try, but we all know you won't let me get a block away before you have me all tied up. You're not changin' my mind."
Peter hesitated, quickly forming a plan in his head.
"Fine." He dropped his arms, putting a fair amount of trust that he wasn't just going to shoot the girl and run. "I'm leaving," Peter started to back up, and when he got to the end of the alley, shot a web to the right and out of view.
Peter jumped up onto the roof next to him, and silently crawled along it until he got to the edge so he could still see them.
"Would you look at that?" The man snickered to himself, pulling the gun away from the woman and turning her around to face him. "Looks like it's only you and me now,"
"P-please don't hurt me!" She sobbed, trying to get out of his grip, but his hand was tightly holding on to her shirt, keeping her in place.
"It won't hurt unless you fight baby cakes," the man said in a low voice, leaning forward, but before he could touch her again, Peter dropped down behind him and shot a web, yanking him back and the girl stumbled in the opposite direction.
"Run!" Peter yelled to her, and the girl only froze a moment before taking off as fast as her legs could take her.
"You little shit," the man growled, turning around and raising his gun as Peter advanced. The boy barely dodged the first shot that was aimed at him, but memories of the last time he heard a gunshot pushed through everything and played before his eyes, hijacking his current eyesight and slowing him down enough that when the second time the gun went off, it grazed his calf.
"Another day's hard work completed," You grinned as Peter dropped down on the roof the two of you were meeting on, and you started to walk towards each other. "Good job today, Spider-Man," you said teasingly.
"Not bad yourself, Nightshade," he mimicked your tone and he saw you grin before you stepped in front of him, lifting his mask enough for you to kiss him.
"Ah," you sighed, biting your lip. "I've been waiting to do that all day,"
"I wouldn't have stopped you, you know. I think that would be a pretty powerful move. 'Spider-Man and Nightshade used Kiss. Very effective! Robber is now confused and can't move!'" Peter laughed as you smacked his shoulder, but happily accepted as he captured your lips in his again and hummed.
"We should totally do that one day," you chuckled, pulling his mask back down. "Swing me home?" You asked him curiously. "It's getting late."
"I really don't want to," Peter drawled out, reaching for your hand as you groaned playfully and backed up, not breaking eye contact with him. "How about we stay here for a couple of minutes?" He asked you and pulled you back, spinning you around as you laughed in his arms. "It's so beautiful tonight, and we're both gonna be too busy the next couple of days,"
"You know I always make time for you, Peter," you told him softly, and wrapped your arms around him. "But we can stay a couple minutes. But not too long, I have to do the dishes tonight,"
The both of you laughed and Peter pulled you closer to him, spinning you around one last time before he closed his eyes and contently rested his head on your shoulder. The both of you stood there, together with your arms around each other, but it was perfect.
But that perfect moment was ruined when a loud gunshot pierced the silence of the night.
The sound made Peter jump back, his head shooting up to try and locate the source. "Up for one more job tonight, Y/N—" But he stopped talking when he noticed your head slowly look down from where you were looking at him. "Y/N?" He asked confusedly before he gasped loudly.
Neither of you had much experience with guns, especially not with snipers.
Your blood was barely visible against the black leather of your suit, but the color was easier to see against the concrete roof as it began to drip down.
"Well, damn," you choked out, stumbling backward, but Peter grabbed you again, keeping you standing.
"No," Peter breathed. "No, no, Y/N, no! Oh my god!" The both of you were trying to make sense of what just happened, and you were the first to come to realization.
"Peter, it's all right," you whispered, feeling your legs start to tremble and you couldn't hold yourself up anymore, tightening your arms around his neck and you started to cry.
"Right," he nodded. "Right, you'll be all right," he shakily said, feeling your weight drop and helped you to the ground. "K-Karen? Call Mr. Stark and tell him to get here. Now!" Peter started down at you, who started coughing. "Keep your eyes open, Y/N, I swear, I'll be right back."
"Peter, no," you started, but couldn't finish.
"I need to get the person who did this to you!" He said firmly. "Stay awake, Mr. Stark is coming, I-I'll be right back."
"No." You tried sitting up but Peter stopped you. "Peter, don't leave me,"
"I swear," He promised you, clumsily standing up and shooting a web in the direction you were shot from. "Right back."
His eyes were tearing up as he swung through the air with no way to wipe them, fiercely searching the nearby rooftops for the sniper that did this. He was angry, terrified,
After not being able to find anyone, Peter turned back. He needed to get back to you. Karen told him about an incoming call from Tony, and he accepted.
"Peter, what happened?" He asked urgently. "I'm already on my way, but you can't do anything stupid. Where are you?"
"I-I'm back with Y/N," Peter said shakily, stumbling back onto the roof where he left you and falling to his knees by your side. "Where are you?"
"I'm coming as fast as I can,"
"Peter," you weakly said when you noticed he was back.
"Hey! You're doing great!" He exclaimed. "Mr- Mr. Stark is coming, and he's gonna know how to fix this. You're gonna be alright, just stay with me Y/N!"
"Peter, I love you," you whispered to him, weak smile on your face. Your words hit him like a bat to the gut. This wasn't the way he wanted to hear them from you for the first time. "You know that, right?" You started to cough, and Peter lifted you up so that you were laying on his lap, and he tore off his mask.
"Don't- Y/N, don't say that. Not like this," he stuttered. "You'll be able to tell me later. When you're better."
"Pete," you said softly, meeting his tear filled eyes with your own. You knew you weren't going to make it, you could feel it, you had lost too much blood.
"W-wait, y-you can heal yourself, right? Y/N?"
"You know I can't," you spoke, your voice trailing off and blood coming out of your mouth as you coughed again; Peter quick to wipe it away.
"You're going to be all right," Peter repeated sternly, but his voice broke and he had to wipe away his tears.
"I love you Peter," hearing it again made Peter break, and for the last time, he pressed his lips onto yours, feeling you smile before he whispered to you, holding tightly onto your hand while his tears hit your cheek.
"I love you too," he spoke against your lips and you smiled.
Peter heard Tony land behind him, his thrusters powering down and his heavy footsteps start to walk, but stopped.
It was silent as your body fell limp under Peter, your hand loosening around his, and Peter's sobs first silent, but grew louder the more it set in that you were dead. You were never coming back.
"It's time to go, Peter," Tony softly spoke after a couple of minutes, and the boy ignored him. "The police and paramedics are going to be here any second," He continued when the sounds of sirens filled the night. "You need to leave, I know it's hard, but they can't find you here. You'll be brought in for questioning and they'll find out you're Spider-Man."
"I-I can't," Peter cried. "I shouldn't have left her, I should've—"
"Peter," Tony placed a hand on his shoulder, trying his hardest not to look at you because he was on the verge of tears too. He needed to stay strong for Peter. "You need to go now. I'll take care of this."
It took Tony pulling Peter away from you at the last second to get him to leave you alone again. Pulling on his mask again, his took another look at you, still looking as beautiful as always, but your color was gone. You were lifeless. You were gone.
Swinging away from the police cars and ambulances and helicopters, Peter collapsed on a building a couple of blocks away and screamed.
Peter hadn't realized he was still punching the man even though he was already unconscious, the gun skidded a couple feet away. But when he came to, he jumped off, taking shaky steps back, his leg stinging from being shot, and his face red and hot from the tears streaming down his face.
It was his fault.
If Peter hadn't agreed, thinking it was a great idea to have a partner fight with him, you never would've been up on the roof with him after patrol. His enemies wouldn't have been yours, and you would've been perfectly safe.
He might not have even been up there that night. You would still be with him, in his arms, in his sights where he could keep you safe. You would be sitting at home, watching movies and building LEGOs, cooking or reading. He would still have you.
But in the end, you were just another person he couldn't save. His uncle Ben died in his arms, and he couldn't help him. You did the same thing, and he couldn't do anything different. He doesn't know who killed Ben, he doesn't know who murdered you.
Peter watched from afar as the paramedics picked up the guy in the alley on a stretcher. He had called them, and the police, anonymously, but he still felt guilty for putting him in that state, no matter how bad of a person he is.
Spider-Man wasn't ready to come back.
No.
Not yet.
Peter wasn't ready.

I’ve got a date!
Rise!Donnie X Gender Neutral Reader Oneshot
----------------------------------------------------------
Donatello had wanted to tell you for a while, he wanted to confess his admiration for you, his need to be with you, his love for you. He's, of course, tried multiple times to confess to you, but every time something or more usually someone interrupts the delicate atmosphere around you both. The constant disruptions to his carefully devised plans took a toll on him, he was constantly trying to get a moment alone with you, sometimes sounding like a mad man when he'd drag you to his lab as soon as you had stepped foot into the lair.
Donnie dragged his legs to his bed, sitting there with his mask hanging low on his neck. He gazed at his phone flicking through old pictures of you and the guys hanging out together, his thumb stalled on one of the pictures. It was a selfie of you and him cuddled together in Central Park, the autumn leaves falling softly around you and your scarfs were pulled up to your chins. He smiled at the photo, the memory of your hair blowing in the cool breeze and your excitement when he brought you a hot chocolate from one of the street vendors. He remembered thinking, no not thinking...Knowing, that was the day he started falling for you.
He finally lied back in bed staring up at the high ceilings thinking back to the times he's tried confessing to you, all his failed attempts and yet you were somehow still friends with him. Friends. He felt like that was the only thing he'd be to you.
February 2019
Valentine's day was just around the corner and with the constant emphasis from the media of having a partner to celebrate this special day with the boys felt more alone than usual. Sure, they had their friends: April and (Y/N) but it wasn't the same as having a lover. They all took it differently, Mikey would gush about all the creative acts people did to impress their significant others and dream of creating the most heartwarming valentine's day card ever. Raph would sit in the projector room late at night and watch all the crappy romcoms he could find, a box of tissues and chocolate by his side as he blew his nose into the tissue crying his eyes out at the scene in front of him. Leo would constantly make fun of the way people walked around like they'd been shot by cupid himself, gagging at the romantic acts he saw around New York and Raph's movies. And then there was Donnie, he'd sit in his lab coming up with a plan to woo (Y/N) and somehow convey his feelings to them.
He'd never go to his brothers about it they'd only make fun of his over-thinking nature, to everyone else it seemed pretty clear that (Y/N) had a thing for the purple-clad turtle and even when told this by others he pushed it aside and said they were only trying to make him feel better. He had called April on the eve of Valentine's day her gruff voice moaning at him.
"Oooh boy, this better be good, do you know what time it is?"
"I know and I'm sorry but I've been losing my mind and I need your hmm" Donnie mumbled the last bit, looking down at his desk covered with glitter and craft paper he stole from Mikey's room. "What was that?" April asked he could her the snarkiness in her tone, he released a loud sigh "I need your hmmm." April laughed down the phone "Sorry D but I can't hear you, you'll need to say it agai-"
"HELP! I NEED YOUR help," Donnie calmed his voice down afraid he'd wake his brothers and father. "Sure D I'll help you, I'll be over in the morning." He smiled this is why April was his best friend "Thanks April." Her hushed voice came from the other side of the phone "No Problem Donnie, now get some sleep." He yawned in response "Yeah maybe you're right."
"I know."
Valentine's Day
April and Donnie had spent the whole morning decorating the garage for his little confession with (Y/N). Fairy lights littered the walls, while cut-out hearts were pinned randomly around the room, smooth jazz was playing from a speaker in the turtle tank. The pair stood back, hands-on-hips, taking in the sight of the totally transformed garage; now they just had to wait for you to arrive.
A few hours later you came bounding into the lair with valentine's cards for all the turtle brothers, they graciously accepted and thanked you. Donatello was just opening his mouth to ask you to follow him so he could set the plan in motion but someone had beat him to it.
"Hey (Y/N), come to the kitchen we just ordered some fresh pizza!" Mikey yelled from presumably the kitchen, Donnie watched as your form retreated with the others. His anger started to bubble but he sucked in a deep breathe "It's okay, it's fine just a little road hump but it's fine." He whispered to himself following the noise to the kitchen.
As the night went on Donnie had tried multiple times to drag your attention away from the others, he'd call your name multiple times but it only fell on death ears as you and Leo had a dance battle in the arcade. He would try dragging you by your arm only for Raph to pick the both of you up and carry you to the projector room to watch a movie, no matter what he did somehow his brothers always seemed to unintentionally ruin his plans.
April 2019
It had been a few months since his last attempt to confess to you but Donnie was still determined to show you his true feelings. He thought he'd hit jackpot when his three brothers told him they were going out for the night to watch some sports game. Perfect, a chance for you and Donnie to sit in the lair...Alone... The perfect chance to confess to you.
He had invited you over with the claim you were going to have a marathon of Lou Jitsu movies. You arrived bag full of sweet treats, parking your ass on a beanbag chair close to Donnie your eyes widened as you watched the screen. An hour into the movie Donnie thought he'd try a move he saw in one of Raph's romance movies, he yawned really loud stretching his long limbs out and it just so happened that one of his arms settled around your back. Donnie kept his eyes on the screen but kept flicking his attention back to you gauging your reaction. You blushed a little but snuggled into Donatello's side and a small smile on his face.
"AW isn't that adorable." The sudden voice shocked the awkward teens, Donnie's arm flew from your back and slapped to his side. Donnie stood to attention facing the voice, your eyes wide and face blushing red.
"DAD!" Donnie yelled, Splinter hobbled around the couch and planted his ass onto it releasing a sigh "Oh don't mind me kids, I'm just here to watch this Lou Jitsu marathon." He held a smirk as he stroked his whiskers eyeing his son, Donatello started sweating profusely "I-I thought no one was going to be in the lair tonight." He somewhat gritted through his clenched teeth. Splinter threw his arms in the air, hands gesturing to the projector screen "And miss a Lou Jitsu marathon? I don't think so purple."
The rest of the night Donnie made sure there was a small gap between you both while his father snored loudly above them, you kept sneaking glances at Donnie he seemed pretty mad as his long limbs were curled in on himself, his arms crossed over his plastron, a pout gracing his lips.
August 2019
Summer break had just begun meaning you and April could spend more time down in the lair with the turtles. Today you had planned to head to a secluded beach where the guys didn't have to wear thick hoodies and pass out due to heatstroke. Leo, Raph and Mikey made a bee-line for the sea along with April, Splinter had set up shop under an umbrella his snores slightly disrupting the peaceful environment. You had just layed down your towel while Donnie continued to explain to you how the ocean is one of the most dangerous places in the world. Hearing him speak about something that actually interested him was a nice change than just hearing about yoki and mutants. In the time they sat together Donnie couldn't help but think that now was the perfect time to confess to you, he could see his brothers and April in the sea and it seemed they weren't planning on coming to land anytime soon and Splinter was knocked out.
He turned to face you, your eyes stuck in the book you were reading. He lovingly sighs and began to think of what to say. Should I just straight up say I like you? No that's to forward you should build-up to it. How about, I don't want to be friends anymore I'd rather be- no that's awful, ugh why is this soooo harddd. I see you like reading, you should read me someday- ugh now I just sound like Leo. Just keep it simple Donnie, just ask her if she wants to hang out some time like a date. Okay, perfect that's it. Ask her on a date.
"Hey (Y/N) I was wondering if-" He turned to see an empty space beside him where his crush had once resided, looking around panicked he lifted the towel off of the sand and looked below it, of course, they're not under the towel idiot! Examing the dumb-dumbs in the sea his eyes landed on you on top of Leo's shoulders playing chicken with April on Raph's shoulder while Mikey referees.
December 2019
Snow had settled over the rooftops of New York, Christmas songs could be heard playing from the radios of the oncoming traffic, mouthwatering smells coasted through the night air. It was Christmas Eve and the turtles were all wearing festive jumpers that Raph had knitted, sure Mikey's had an extra arm-hole but it was the thought that counts. April and (Y/N) were able to join them for a short while, dancing along to their make-shift Christmas party. April had told the guys about Donnie's attempts to seduce you and all the times he's failed, Leo of course laughed at the pathetic attempts his twin made "I don't get it, why didn't he just tell us what he was planning?" Mikey asked.
Meanwhile, Leo was still laughing in the background lying on his shell, legs kicking in the air. Raph looked over to Leo then back to Mikey "I think he had his reasons." April snapped her fingers trying to get their attention "Guys, listen. We need to help Donnie, it is partially our fault he hasn't been able to confess." A lightbulb appeared over Mikey's head "I got it!" He clicked his fingers and dashed to the opened box of Christmas decorations, after rummaging around for a few minutes he pulled out a withered piece of holly. Leo looked up at him, wiping a tear from his eye "You're going to romance them with a dead plant? Miguel this is your greatest idea yet!"
"It's not just a DEAD PLANT Leon, its mistletoe," Mikey stated matter-of-factly, April's eyes widened "Whatever c'mon we gotta put that thing somewhere, then we lure the both of them under it!" April placed her hand in the middle of their small circle, each turtle placed a hand in too "3, 2, 1, Get D and (Y/N) together!"
"Mistletoe!"
"Romance!"
"For Donnie's honour!"
April pulled a hand down her face "We should have practised what we were going to say."
With April and Leo
Donnie seemed constantly stressed, for days he would just sit in the lab working away to the obnoxiously loud techno beats. While you were at the lair he'd try to make an effort to seem happy and relaxed but as soon as you'd leave he'd be back to his isolated self. Leo and April strolled into the lab seeing Donnie's hunched over form tinkering on some random piece of tech. Leo stood behind Donnie, pulling his chair out along with his brother, Donnie turned to face Leo with a stern look "I'm not in the mood Leonard."
"Oh c'mon Donnie, we're here to help you~" Leo replied sweetly, Donnie shoved Leo back with his hand on his face "Yeah right, when have you ever tried to actively help me?"
"Gasp! Donnie, I am offended you'd think that of me, your twin brother!" Leo feigned hurt Donnie grumbled under his breath turning back to his work "Stop calling us that!" April watched the brother's interaction from the entrance trying to think of a way to outsmart D. "Hey D, could you come help us with the projector? It kind of stopped working when Raph knocked into it." Donnie released a guttural sigh and dragged himself from his desk. "Oh, so he'll listen to you but not his dear twin brother. Typical." Leo grumbled.
With Raph
Raph stood in the doorway of the projector room looking over at your occupied form, he was freaking out on the inside, he knew you were smart and would easily see through his lies. He lingered there for a minute coming up with an amazing excuse.
"Hey (Y/N), can you follow me and Mikey for a sec?"
"Erm sure, what for?" You asked moving yourself off of the beanbag, Raph started sweating "Er, erm. Because I asked nicely?" You chuckled and shook your shoulders "You got me there." He breathed a sigh of relief that was easier than I thought.
Raph had led you to the kitchen entrance and stood cautiously by the door, Mikey had joined him with a small step ladder under his arms. You laughed a little "Okay guys, what's going on?" The brothers unintentionally looked up towards the ceiling, you followed their gaze and saw a dried holly plant or at least what was left of it.
"Is that-" You were interrupted by the sound of angst. Leo and April came into the kitchen through the other entrance dragging Donnie with them, shoving him into you roughly. The group quickly made their exit while you and Donatello both stared deeply into each other's eyes, Donnie seemed to suddenly realise where he was and pushed away from you coughing awkwardly. "Sorry about my family, I didn't think I'd have to apologise for them now but here we are."
You chuckled lightly and waltzed back up to Donnie placing your hands around his neck, his arms automatically swivelled around your hips your blushes rivalling Raph's mask. "It's okay, they have good intentions." You joked. Donnie looked confused until you pointed up to the dying mistletoe swaying in the airconditioned breeze, Donnie's mouth formed an 'O' shape. You both began to lean in, gradually getting closer you couldn't wait to have the feeling of his lips finally on yours. Just as your lips were about to touch your phone's ringtone blared through the quiet atmosphere, you both separated your heart thumping in your chest.
Quickly answering the call you sent Donnie a 'sorry' look, Donnie stared at you as you wandered around the kitchen talking to your mum a worried look on your face. I can't believe we nearly kissed, I was so close. Stupid technology! "Hey D," You asked, he looked up from the floor a gentle hum leaving his lips a blush still apparent on his cheeks. You looked nervous "I have to go home now, my mum wants me back before it gets too late." Donnie swallowed the lump in his throat and approached you "Th-that's fine, I-I can take you back if you want?" You nodded at him a smile adorning your face "I'd like that, thanks."
Back to the present
Donnie cringed at the memories of all his failed attempts, god he was so dumb not as bad as his brothers but close. Squinting his eyes shut he continued to think about that night, even though the set up by his family failed miserably the fond memory of the walk back brought a blush to his cheeks.
December 2019
Donnie had grabbed Sheldon and held you close to his plastron as he flew to your apartment, you remember blushing madly when he had suddenly swept you off of your feet; he thought your little squeal was adorable. Dropping you off at your bedroom window Donnie hung around for a bit just floating outside the window frame, a dopey look on his face. The moonlight up his figure as he hovered over your window, smiling deeply at you. Sheldon must have been complaining about the weight of the turtle on top of him but overall he didn't seem to mind too much.
It was now or never Donnie thought.
"(Y/N) I've been wanting to tell you, no, trying to tell you something for over a year now," he had started, his eyes boring into your own, a look of want reflecting in them. You slumped your arm on the window sill and gazed back up at him "Go ahead D, I'm all ears."
"Okay, well I-I-" he started to mumble and stutter, Sheldon had clearly had enough of the timid turtle's behaviour over the past year and decided to take the situation into his own rotors. Moving forwards Donnie's lips crashed onto (Y/N)'s. The two stared wide-eyed at each other not sure what to do, but as (Y/N) started to close their eyes and relax into the kiss Donnie too started to get comfortable, he placed his hands on their shoulders to steady himself better while they wrapped theirs around his neck.
Pulling apart the two stared at each other with rosy cheeks, "Well that happened" Donnie stated (Y/N) just chuckled and replied with a soft "Yeah." Donnie scratched his neck out of anxiety as he chose his next words carefully.
"Trust me you would not believe how long I've wanted to do that for" he joked, you held his hand and rubbed your thumb over his palm. You both stared at your intertwined hands as you spoke: "I think I could guess." You smiled warmly at him.
He looked past his shoulder at all the dark, empty streets behind him and sighed "I should be getting back," Donnie turned away from your window, Sheldon wavering slowly. Donnie's eyes widened as he turned back to you quickly remembering something he's been dying to ask you "Oh, by the way, would you like to go out next Saturday?"
"Absolutely" You swooned. "Great it's a date." Sheldon started to fly away taking the pair back to the lair where Donnie would no doubt brag to his brothers about his kiss.
"I've got a date! A date Sheldon! Oh, this is amazing."

I'll Take Care of You | Peter Parker
summary ↠ you’re a med student who falls into the habit of patching up Spider-Man
wc ↠ 4k
warnings ↠ some descriptions of injury (but nothing very graphic because I am a wimp), light swearing, fluff
a/n ↠ based off a request I had for a doctor/patient fic with Peter. I didn’t want to do that exact dynamic, so I put a spin on it and had some fun with it! I hope you enjoy, anon! any feedback would be gratefully received :’))
It’s 11pm on a chilly October night, and you’re hunched over one of the high wooden benches in your university’s lab. The only light in the room comes from the lamp you’re settled beside, and you’re completely lost in thought as you practice your running stitches on a rather beaten and bruised banana. You can’t quite seem to get it right, and with each failed attempt at securing an even stitch, you find yourself growing more and more frustrated. You’re about to pack it in and call it a night when there’s a loud crash behind you, and you spin around to see the shady figure of someone attempting to break into the lab.
“Fucking hell,” you mutter. Your heart rate spikes and your mouth runs dry, fear replacing your irritation as you watch a dark stranger jimmy open the window at the other side of the lab. You freeze, eyes wide in fear, and cower back as the person topples through the window, cursing lowly. They scramble to their feet, brushing themselves down, and when they take a step towards the centre of the room, your eyes light up with terrified recognition. “Spider-Man?!” You exclaim.
It might be dark in the lab, but that doesn’t prevent you from making out the red and blue lines of the familiar spidersuit. You didn’t think it was possible to be even more shocked than you were, but then the figure stumbles towards you and crashes to the ground, and you realise the darker spots on the suit are patches of blood.
“Help me…” Comes a high, quivering voice.
Shaking like a leaf, you tentatively approach the figure. He’s curled up in a ball on the floor, and you grab a handy first-aid kit as you crouch beside him. The darkest patches seem to be around his torso, but you’re not sure how to access that without harming the suit. As if sensing your predicament, the man reaches up and presses a button on his neck. You gasp lightly as the entire torso section of his suit separates itself and dissolves into nothing, leaving you facing the exposed, clammy skin of New York’s favourite hero. Your eyes quickly identify his source of pain, and you find yourself wincing as you see the issue: there are several shards of glass impaled in his side, and they’re preventing his body from regenerating and healing. You know you’ll need to remove them.
“Okay, okay,” you mutter, steeling yourself. You quickly unzip the kit and pull out a pair of tweezers, some disinfectant, and a roll of bandages. You try to keep your voice as level as possible as you speak to the man. “You’ve got some glass stuck in your side,” you say calmly. “I’m going to pull them out and disinfect the wound. It, uh, it’s probably going to hurt, and I’m really sorry, but it could get infected if I leave them in.”
Spider-Man manages a breathless, “okay,” which you take to mean you can start working.
Trying to still your shaking hands, you press one palm to his chest as the fingers of your other hand wrap around the tweezers. You manage to get a grip on the larger shard of glass and slowly pull it from the wound. The hero tenses and curses, but he stays still, allowing you to quickly and safely remove the piece. Once the first one is out, you grow more confident and manage to clear the others within the minute. After inspecting the wound and deciding there’s nothing left in there, you drag a ball of cotton wool soaked in disinfectant over the gash.
“That’s you,” you remark. Your forehead has a line of cool perspiration over it, and you feel a wave of intense relief pass through you as you finish bandaging his side. You sit back and lean against a wooden bench, a deep sigh passing through your lips.
Spider-Man looks down at his side, the erratic movements of his chest slowly calming. It’s for the first time that you’re able to properly look at him, and you find your heart beating a little faster in your chest as your eyes make out the shadowed lines of his abs.
“Thank you, uh…”
“Y/N,” you supply.
You can sense the smile beneath the mask. “Thanks, Y/N,” Spider-Man finishes. He scoots himself back so he’s also leaning against a wooden bench, his body facing you. “I usually have to do that myself.”
A warmth tickles at your cheeks as you push your hair back and away from your face. “You don’t have, like, a team of people to do that for you?”
Spider-Man laughs, his voice light and airy. “Not exactly,” he replies. “I mean, I probably could if I wanted to, but I work better alone.”
Your lips curl into a frown. “Alone?” You echo. “Isn’t that kinda dangerous?”
Spider-Man shrugs. “I guess,” he says, voice drawling. “I’ve made it this far, though, so I must be doing something right.”
You laugh gently. “Yeah, right,” you tease. “If it wasn’t for me, you would’ve passed out and woken up with a nasty infection.”
“Maybe, maybe not,” he says, raising his hands innocently. He tilts his head to the side. “What are you doing here, anyway? No classes run this late.”
It’s your turn to feel a little embarrassed. “Oh, uh, I’m a first-year med student. Sometimes I stay back late to practice some of my sutures.” You point up to the desk and where a pile of your abused, half-stitched bananas sit. “It’s the only time I can get some peace and quiet.”
He surprises you by nimbly climbing to his feet and walking over to your workstation. As he moves, he presses a button on his neck again, and his suit closes over his chest. You find yourself frowning as the suit hides the rippling muscles of his back, and you quickly clear your throat to suppress that particular thought. You get up and join him, lingering a little behind.
“Not bad,” he compliments. He turns to look at you, and you know from the way the suit’s mask twitches that he’s smiling. “Med student, you say?”
You nod. “Yeah. So far I only know the basics, but it feels good to be able to give back to people.”
Spider-Man nods. “I know what you mean.”
A silence falls between you both, and you lean down to grab a scrap piece of paper. You quickly scribble down your number before passing it to him, the hero accepting it cautiously.
“Take it,” you plead. “Just in case you ever need anything. I live just off campus, and I’m usually awake at night. If you ever decide you need a medical squad, I’m your guy, alright?” Your lips pull into a smile as he pockets the paper.
“Thanks, Y/N,” he says, voice softer. He takes a few tentative steps back, looking at the window he entered through. “I should go. City to save, and all that. But… I really do appreciate what you’ve done for me tonight. Thank you.”
You manage a brave smile as you urge him towards the window, pretending it doesn’t shatter your dreams to bid farewell to the hero you know you’ll likely never see again. “See you around, Spider-Man. Stay safe!”
And he raises a hand in a quick wave goodbye before hopping from the window and disappearing into the night sky, leaving you, a messy lab, and a thousand thoughts behind.
You don’t hear from him for three months.
Over those long, twelve weeks, you start your first placement at the local hospital and soon become too busy to feel sad at his lack of contact. But still, occasionally, you’ll catch yourself with a dullness rounding out your heart as you think of the way he’d taken your number and since ignored you. A part of you is grateful he hasn’t needed you, but another is sad you only spent one night with him. Spider-Man has always been a bit of an idol to you, and the realisation that you’ll never see him again is a tough one to come to terms with.
It’s mid-January and 1.32am when your phone vibrates on your nightstand. You groan as you turn over, your body shifting beneath your rustling sheets as you blindly bat at the table before your fingers close around the device. You pull it in close, silently begging you’re not being called in to work a spontaneous night shift, and lazily force your eyes open as you read the texts.
[Unknown] hey where do you live ???
[Unknown] it’s spider-man
[Unknown] I need you
[Unknown] help
Suddenly you’re wide awake, and with trembling fingers, you quickly attach your location and send it off. You jump from your bed and turn on your bedroom light as you pull a hoodie around your torso. Luckily you live alone and have your own comprehensive first aid kit, otherwise, you know you’d be fucked.
You wait for about three minutes before there’s a sudden, loud knock on your bedroom window. Your heart catches in the back of your throat as you squeak loudly, spinning around to see a blurry figure behind the pane. You hurry over and quickly unlock the window, and jump out of the way just in time to avoid the very heavy, and very wet figure of Spider-Man as he rolls into your room, collapsing in a heap in the middle of your carpet. He’s groaning - loudly - and this time, he appears to have dislocated his shoulder.
“Pop it back in,” he whines, voice pulled tight with stress. He manages to sit up, hunched over as his good hand clutches at his shoulder. “Oh my god, I’m gonna pass out.”
“Calm down,” you manage, gulping. Luckily for him, you’ve just finished a rotation in orthopaedics, so you aren’t completely in the dark about how to help him. “Take a deep breath, Spidey.” You push his hand away from his shoulder and replace it with your own. “I’ll count you down. 3, 2, 1-”
He curses, expletives rolling down his tongue as you carefully, but decisively, pop his shoulder back into the socket. A sickening crunch fills the air, but a moment later, his entire body seems to relax. He sighs and slumps back.
“Thank you so much,” he manages, voice sounding a little weak. “I tried to do it myself but apparently that just made it worse.”
Your eyes widen. “Uh, yeah, that’s a terrible idea.” You pull yourself to your feet and quickly help him up, depositing the hero on your bed. “I’ll go get you some water, or something. You look terrible.” You don’t have to see his face to know that beneath the suit, the man is bruised and exhausted. His posture alone speaks volumes as he sits curled over on the edge of your bed, his head falling forward to rest in his hands.
When you return with a glass of water and a bar of chocolate, he lets you sit beside him as he gratefully devours them. To your surprise, the suit parts at his mouth and exposes the thin lines of his pink lips, letting you see his cheesy grin as he smiles at you.
“Always coming to my rescue, Y/N,” he says, voice a little stronger just after a square of chocolate. “Thanks.”
“It’s alright,” you reply. Suddenly you become very aware of the large, sagging bags beneath your eyes and the way you’re sure your hair is sticking up all over the place. “Anything for New York’s best.”
He chuckles slightly. Once he’s done with the water and the chocolate, he places both the glass and the wrapper on your bedside table and collapses back on your bed with a soft thump. He stares up at the ceiling, his breathing gradually growing slower. “How’s college?”
You shrug. “Busy,” you explain. “I’m in the hospital most days, learning how to do stuff. Never thought it would be so demanding, but it feels good to be able to make someone feel better.”
“You should get extra credit for helping Spider-Man,” he ponders, voice quiet but sweet.
You laugh. “It’s not exactly been difficult to help you, so far. I can handle a dislocated shoulder and a few bits of glass.”
“Oh, so you want me to be more injured next time I visit you?” You can practically feel the smirk in his voice as your face heats up.
“No! Absolutely not. I don’t mean that at all.”
Spider-Man’s laugh warms your heart. “I know what you meant.” He sits up with a sigh. “Your bed is so comfy, Y/N.”
“Help yourself,” you tease.
He laughs again as he carefully rises to his feet, rolling around his shoulder as if testing its capabilities. “Feels as good as new,” he says. “Thanks, Doc.”
“Any time,” you reply. You stifle a yawn, and Spider-Man crosses his arms over his chest.
“Get some sleep,” he orders sternly. He hops over to your window and wrenches it open easily. “Thanks for the water, and the chocolate, and the life-saving,” he adds, already with a leg swung out of your window.
“Bye, Spiderman,” you say. The smile fades from your lips as he disappears once more, closing the window behind him with a quiet thud. But the grin quickly springs back as you realise he might contact you again, now he knows where you live, and you can’t help but find a little comfort in that thought.
Over the next few months, Spider-Man visits you semi-regularly. He has you text him your rotation schedule so to ensure he never bothers you when you’re busy at the hospital, and that alone causes your heart to warm to him even more. It’s always small things he visits for: bullet wounds, dislocated joints, grotty injuries. Things that would seriously harm any normal human, but since it’s Spider-Man, they only graze him. You fix him up and then send him on his way, and that’s it, simply. A fleeting encounter and then he’s off.
And it goes on like this for a while, until a warm evening in May. You’re sat cross-legged on your bed as darkness falls across the city, curled up with a nice book as you enjoy your day off from college. You feel calm and collected, and you’re about to light a candle and crawl into bed when there’s a loud banging on your window and you startle.
You stare outside, but there’s no one there. It’s dark, so you put your book down and tentatively creep over to the window, confused as to the source of the noise. Curiously, you pull up the window, and that’s when you hear Spider-Man’s familiar groans, and you look down to find him crumpled in a heap on your fire escape. Instantly you’re filled with dread.
It’s very difficult to actually get the hero into your apartment, but you manage to haul through your window eventually. You set him on the floor where he lies motionless, his breaths shallow and pained, and your blood runs cold as you take in the state of him. You crouch down beside him, first aid kit in hand, and find yourself at a loss of where to start. His suit is covered in lacerations and dark, bloody marks, but you don’t have access to him at all.
Just as you’re beginning to despair, you remember the buttons on his neck and carefully reach up. You don’t know which ones to press, and you certainly don’t want to betray him by accidentally removing his face mask, but when he releases another pained groan, you just push at a few random buttons. The suit deflates and retracts from his chest and lower half, leaving him in his gloves, face mask and underwear, but luckily exposing all the areas you need access to.
You survey the damage and feel despondent. He’s been very badly injured, and you’re terrified you won’t be able to help him. But that fear is quickly replaced by a determination as your brain shifts into doctor mode, and your hands start working before your mind can even process what you’re doing. You start by applying pressure to some of the larger gashes on his chest, stemming the steady flow of deep crimson blood until it’s a weaker trickle, and you feel confident bandaging them in a tight white wrap. Then you clean out some of the smaller wounds and stick a few smaller plasters there. Once you’ve cleaned him up a bit, the damage doesn’t look so bad, and though his pale skin has the beginnings of some deep, yellowy-blue bruises forming, you don’t think he’s got any internal injuries.
“How are you doing, Spidey?” You manage, voice croaking hoarsely.
Spider-Man groans softly. “I don’t feel like I’m dying anymore,” he quips, “But I still feel horrendous.” He pauses for a moment before grabbing at your hand. He’s still got gloves on, but you feel the tenderness in his touch as he squeezes your fingers gently. “Call me Peter,” he requests.
You nod as surprise settles across you. “You’ve lost a lot of blood but I think you’ll be okay, Peter. I don’t really understand how your body heals so quickly, but you’re looking stronger already. I think you just need to rest.” You glance out at the dark night sky. “You should stay here overnight.”
To your surprise, he doesn’t disagree. “Okay,” he says instead. His grip on your hand tightens as he slowly tries to get up. You help him out as much as you can and quickly settle him on your bed.
“I’ve got some clothes you can wear, wait.” You turn around and go to rummage through your dresser, pulling out a spare t-shirt. You toss it to the bed, and when you’re back by his side, he’s slid it over his chest. He looks very odd, sitting on your bed, your t-shirt on his upper half, his boxers on his lower, and a mask on his face, but at this point, you just accept it. “I’ll go crash on the couch. Yell if you need-”
“No, no. That’s not right,” Peter interrupts. You can tell he’s frowning. “You can, um, stay here, if you want. With me. In here.”
Your face shifts into a surprised o. “Oh, no, really, I… You should have space to spread out,” you say. You can’t ignore the way your heart beats deeply against your ribcage at the idea of cosying up against the hero.
“Please?” He asks, voice sweet. “What if I suddenly crash in the night? Or start bleeding out? How will I live if my doctor isn’t here to help me?”
You roll your eyes. “Dramatic, aren’t you?” But you walk over to him anyway and help him settle into your bed. You flick off your light and shut your window, and then you tentatively climb into the other side of your bed, slipping down until you’re beneath the covers, the warm figure of Spider-Man beside you. You’re tense, and for a moment you just lay there, breathing unevenly, staring at the ceiling and wondering how the fuck you ended up in this position.
“I’m, um… I’m gonna take off my mask,” comes Peter voice, quiet, but still loud enough for you to hear.
“What?!” You exclaim. You turn over on your side so you face him, your eyebrows pulling towards your forehead. “Why would you want to do that?”
He shrugs, his slim fingers knocking up against his neck. “It’s dark,” he reasons. “I trust you. And honestly, I’m feeling kinda delirious and this thing can be a bit hard to breathe through.”
You swallow deeply and watch carefully as Peter slowly pulls the mask up, up, up. It rolls up over his chin, his mouth, his nose, and his eyes, and with each feature it reveals, you find yourself holding your breath even more. Because it’s dark, in your room, but it’s not dark enough to hide his face, and you realise in a terrifying moment that he trusts you - Spider-Man trusts you - with his most hidden secret: his identity. And that makes you feel incredibly special.
“Peter…” You whisper, voice escaping into the air. Your eyes trace all over his face as he flings the mask aside. He’s got lovely dark, wispy hair, that stands up madly in all directions, and deep, caring brown eyes that watch your face intently. Your gaze shifts to his nose, and you smile as you notice it sits a little wonkily to the side, and then you find the air being pulled from your lungs as your eyes settle on his perfect, parted lips.
He’s beautiful. Utterly, completely, beautiful, and you really wish he’d kept the mask on, because he’s made it very hard for you to lie there as your lips quirk into a smile and your heart races in your chest, and just do nothing.
But then he does something.
With a shaky hand, Peter reaches up to cup your cheek. He shuffles closer, his musky cedar-wood scent filling your nostrils as he places his head on your pillow. His long, roughened fingertips move over your cheekbones, scattering trails of warmth over your skin as he gently caresses your face, his eyes gentle and loving. “Thank you for always looking after me, Y/N.” His breath fans out across your features, drawing a warmth to your face.
You swallow deeply, subconsciously nuzzling your cheek into his hand. You stretch out your legs and they tangle with his, and excitement rushes through your veins as his other hand finds your waist and he pulls you closer. Your foreheads are practically pressed together now, the warmth of his body heat surging through you as you gaze into his eyes. “I’ll always look after you, Peter,” you promise, voice soft and sweet. “I care about you.”
The tip of his nose brushes against yours softly. “I care about you too, Y/N. So much.” His eyes flicker shut, his long, feathery eyelashes falling to a soft rest at the top of his cheeks. You follow suit, and with your eyes closed, it’s as if everything else is amplified: his tender touch on your cheek, his warm hand wrapped around your waist, his legs tangled with yours. You find yourself straining closer, desperate for more.
“Can I kiss you?” He asks, finally.
“Of course.”
And then his lips are on yours, moving softly against your mouth. It’s tender at first, barely even a touch, but as you push back against him, it grows stronger, like a small fire gradually building heat. You reach for his figure and gently wrap your hands around his waist as you kiss him deeply, clinging to him, longing for him, enjoying the feeling of coming home as your lips move together. It’s soft, and warm, and perfect, and it seems to span an infinity as you kiss him in the dark, bundled up beneath the blankets together.
He pulls back after a few perfect minutes, his forehead pressed flush against yours as he pants for breath. “I love kissing you,” he murmurs. “I love being with you, Y/N.”
You drag a hand up through his soft brown curls, a permanent smile hanging from your lips. “Feel free to kiss me as much as you’d like,” you mumble.
He presses another sweet kiss to your lips and holds you close. “Oh, I fully intend to,” he promises. Then he drags his mouth to your forehead and leaves a scattering of light kisses to your hairline, and you relax back into his arms, a sense of fulfilment blossoming through your chest. He’s warm, and soft, and you know there’s nowhere you’d rather be than right here, bundled up in Spider-Man’s arms, drifting off into a gentle slumber. And as he presses a final kiss to the back of your head, you know he feels the same way, too.
