i genuinely get so angry at s4 of stranger things like im p like over it and have come up with aus and stuff to combat it but like. goddamn does THIS line

piss me off. what do you mean she said this and then the very next episode had steve saying he's been fantasizing abt having six kids with his ex from two years ago.

they'd still b treating robin like shit if she was straight, but it's a spit in the face that she's queer and they still have her deliver this dialogue. they're basically saying that us queer people? yeah, our stories aren't important as straight ones. unless, of course, like will, your love is used to instead boost a straight couple!

s4 was just such a horrible season overall

honestly season three has been its peak so far for me. season four was alright to watch for the first time ( not that fucking finale tho. fuck that finale was horrible. ) but when you look back at it all they truly couldn't have written a worse script.

i get that yeah, its the 80s, queer people aren't exactly accepted that well. but fuck they very much existed AND very much had a love lives. robin's story is JUST as important as steve's is.

also. i want to deep dive into how they did queer rep in season four with vickie. we see how robin acts around vickie and its all nice and sweet like aww look robin's panicking over a girl thats cute !! but. they really fumbled the bag with the fact that vickie at the end of season four's finale literally mirroring robin's like. every mannerism. like. okay. say in season five we have vickie and robin set up to be a couple. cute. cool. but are you telling me that they're then being like "oh yeah this is exactly how EVERY sapphic and woman liker acts when they have a crush on a girl" like??? lol weirdly enough. NO ??? like that acc really pissed me off the way they just copied and pasted the way robin acted around vickie to when vickie acts around robin. i get and understand fully that the chances are they're trying to tell us in season five there's a chance vickie is going to be romantically interested in robin- but WEIRDLY enough they're so many other ways of doing that and to show her having a potential crush on robin. like the literally could've had. ONE. shot of her just taking an extra second to look at robin in that finale and that would've sufficed. pissing me off. season four really did piss me off their representation for queer media has literally dropped sm like they should let someone else write season five atp
