dude you do not even know I have been trembling like an anxious chihuahua just waiting to be able to go full feral about her to someone. this rocks

OKAY SO. the entire story kind of started because i was listening to a song and i was like you know what this would be great for? being the backing track to a cold open where some girl is running through the woods mid-panic attack after having just killed someone. then it kind of grew a plot from there.

(me, foolishly: oh this will probably not take too long or take up too much space. clearly i forgot just how Able i am to ramble when prompted. put the rest under a cut bc it got LONG)

the cryptid wolf girl herself is named rosalind, or roz for short, or possibly rory for short once she figures out some gender stuff later on... the Central Relationship in the story is between her and her little sister anna. they did... NOT have a great life growing up—dad was an abusive alcoholic, mom was a DEPRESSIVE alcoholic and even when they split up, mom kinda left roz to raise/take care of anna completely on her own... things are better now; mom has cleaned herself up and is trying to be better—but like. that messed roz up lmao. go figure.

so for their whole lives growing up, roz and anna were kind of glued together... ROZ was more of a parent to anna than their own mom, and anna went to her for everything. but in the time of the story, anna's started to Grow Up and Grow OUT of needing her big sister for everything, AND ON TOP OF THAT she's just got herself a boyfriend who fucking sucks and reminds roz WAY too much of their dad... (in my mind I feel like when their parents split and dad left, roz was old enough to actually understand how abusive and shitty he was, but to anna it just seemed like he'd abandoned him, so she's probably a bit stupid about relationships because she's searching for the love she never got from her father/searching for a bandaid to the feeling of abandonment she has from him, but she isn't exactly the healthiest about that and latches onto the first guy that shows her attention, thinking it's Love.)

anyways, this whole deal—anna getting distant, anna being stupid about her bf—makes roz feel Some Type Of Way. she's kind of latched onto her position as anna's pseudo-parent as the crux of her self-worth, so now that anna seems to not NEED her anymore she does not take it well. she wants to protect anna from her toxic bf and from HERSELF, but she can't do a thing and just feels useless because everything she TRIES just ends up pushing anna further away from her. then on her birthday, when she's at her friend's house to celebrate (the best friend she's gay af for, zoe), she makes a wish to be able to protect anna like she used to—aaand the literal moon overhears and basically goes "you have a noble desire, i'll give you my blessing" and turns her into a werewolf (sort of - it's not a whole "turn every full moon" deal, just whenever there's a specific trigger)

anyway like a week after roz's bday when she makes the wish, it's homecoming, and her mom (who is also stupid and just thinks roz hates mark (anna's bf) because she's jealous) has asked her to drive anna to this party mark invited her to... which is in the middle of the woods. with a whole bunch of older high school guys. sure, mom, that's bound to be perfectly safe and legal.

roz has been feeling a little off all week and having weird dreams (unbeknownst to her thanks to her new lunar benefactor). after homecoming, she drives anna to her party... but there is NO FUCKIN WAY she trusts those dudes with her, so she sneaks up to spy on them from the bushes to make sure they're not getting up to any unsavory shit and hurting her little sister. (spoiler alert: they absolutely get up to tons of unsavory shit.) so roz is watching these guys, and it's literally all guys, like anna is the ONLY girl, and they're all older—and they're drinking alcohol, getting progressively more wasted, and anna is refusing but mark keeps pressuring her, and eventually he makes some vague allusions to ah... "loosening her up" with the alcohol so he can have his way with her, while touching her in not-so-great ways... and seeing that triggers roz's first transformation. she just full-on catapults in and tears him to SHREDS, literally. then someone stabs her with a beer bottle and she flees, turns back human, and starts freaking the fuck out because she just killed mark.

okay um. i did not intend to just tell you the entire story up to the point that ive written it. but OH WELL I DID! hope u enjoyed that lmao.

the whole premise of the story is that, despite how much it sucks at first, roz being a werewolf actually kind of brings her, her mom, and her sister closer together... the thing is, the moon, when it heard her wish, it didn't just give her what she asked for—it gave her what she NEEDED. and in general i have lots a feelings about werewolves as the representations of our deepest, most repressed emotions and desires, like if you've seen the whole thing about like "the werewolf is the part of you that LOVES YOU. it is the part of you that is mad at how wrongly you've been treated and wants to PROTECT you." yeah. and i have lots of feelings about the MOON and moon deities as gods of honesty, vulnerability, and seeing the truth of our deepest emotions...

so the wolf is kind of all roz's anger issues just smushed into one big wolfy body. a big theme ive started exploring with the story is that being a werewolf isn't exactly CHANGING roz or making her feel things she's never felt before (like, you know. the murder urges), it's just bringing things she ALWAYS FELT to the forefront and making them unignorable. because above all what roz NEEDS is something to force her to face herself to be able to overcome all the self-hatred she has (because BOY SHIT THERE'S A LOT OF IT). which is also where her relationship with zoe (who ive thought, written, and posted about almost more than the relationship between roz and anna... whoops) comes in.

roz and zoe are best friends. they have been since they were five years old, and zoe has been with roz through like ALLLLL the shit of her seventeen long years. roz is incredibly gay and absolutely in love with zoe, but doesn't realize because she's a fucking dumbass and thinks that's a normal way to feel about her best friend (or, like, maybe she kind of knows something's Different and knows what it IS, but she can't ever let herself realize it fully because ✨internalized homophobia✨).

when the whole wolf thing starts out, roz doesn't tell zoe what's happening, because she's afraid zoe will be afraid of or disgusted by this part of her... which she likes to think is the wolf's doing, but she knows it's really ALWAYS been a part of her. roz keeps the secret from zoe for a WHILE because of this, and keeps pushing her away, but zoe (who Knows roz and loves her back just as intensely) will NOT fucking let her. so there's gonna be like this whole stage of incredibly painful pining, where the moon goddess makes roz realize that she's in love with zoe, but she still hasn't even TOLD zoe about the whole werewolf thing, so there ensue events like: roz in wolf form subconsciously seeking out zoe, breaking out of her house in the middle of the night, going to stand below zoe's window, and then waking up in the morning thinking it was a dream until she sees her window is open and her pajamas are shredded to all hell and goes "shit".

eventually, of course, zoe DOES find out (either by accidentally witnessing a transformation one day or because roz finally caves and tells her, i havent decided yet), and spoiler alert, she isn't disgusted or afraid—she's actually, like, wildly attracted to the feral bloodthirsty vengeful side of roz, because that's the embodiment of roz's deepest, more true self, and zoe has wanted nothing more than to know roz completely—and of course it still takes roz a while to realize zoe's wide-eyed, drop-jawed stares at her are not FEAR but I'M SO GAY IM GONNA OASS OUT HOLY SHIT, because she's fucking stupid.

another honorable mention character: himbo soccer team boy tentatively named matt (gonna change either his or mark's name cuz they're too similar) who witnesses roz partially-transform by accident one day and decides he's going to be absolutely ride-or-die for this tormented lesbian werewolf. he's there for her until she finally gets her shit together and tells zoe what's going on, and long after that. they become a cute little bestie trio and matt ABSOLUTELY realizes how gay roz and zoe are for each other before roz does and he's like JESUS CHRIST JUST KISS ALREADY

(also. most worthy of mention in the yet-to-be-written zoe-and-roz scenes i feel feral about: there's gonna be one after zoe finds out where roz has a really bad transformation, and passes out still wolfed-out in zoe's lap... and she's visibly having a nightmare (plus she's still a wolf which means she's still in crisis mode even though she's sleeping), so zoe starts reading aloud to her while she sleeps until she calms down enough to turn back human... and it starts out as just zoe doing what she's ALWAYS done to comfort and soothe roz, but since roz is ASLEEP it devolves into zoe pouring out her true feelings without roz awake to hear them... then roz wakes up in the middle of zoe reciting shakespeare's sonnet 57 to her and it's like. INSANELY gay. and the whole time matt's off to the side like holy shit.)

favorite thing about them- i think i said this the last time i did these but i love that she's fairly complex, really; she's often portrayed as 'figaro's wife who can do no wrong' but she really does have some very interesting flaws and i like that about her

least favorite thing about them- as always with opera characters it comes down to how they're portrayed. really dislike the whole 'she can't do anything wrong' thing a lot of productions sell bc it makes her way less entertaining (and the whole opera gets more sexist somehow). also really not a fan of the 'and the countess and susanna are BESTIES' concept but i'll get to that below

favorite line- every time she insults anyone i gain life

brOTP- love it when she has a like... big sibling-little sibling dynamic with cherubino. also i love her friendship with marcellina that grows near the end of the opera. finally she and figaro are best friends just as much as they are romantic partners

OTP- figaro. obviously.

nOTP- ok time to soapbox bc i'm thinking about this, right now. i genuinely don't get people who pair up susanna and the countess. the best way to sum up how I think the susanna-countess dynamic should be is a discussion i had with a director i was interning under a year ago, in which he was telling me about the best marriage of figaro production he'd seen. and he said in the letter duet that... susanna was sorta scared. susanna does think of the count as an annoyance, most of the time, but she is also fully aware of the count's power and is rather uncomfortable with the plan. and right before the duet susanna protests this whole situation, only for the countess to immediately shut her down and get her writing. and the way this production played it highlighted that without ever having it go too far, make it clear the letter duet is this moment between two women of vastly different worlds; and god damn that is way more fascinating than HASHTAG GIRLBESTIES or what have you. i think susanna and the countess aren't friends, really. throughout the opera they grow to understand one another and form a bond, but it's a subtle thing, and i don't understand the susanna/countess appeal besides lesbianism (of which there's better examples to be found in opera anyway).

random headcanon- i like to think when they initially met susanna and figaro were rivals who eventually grew fond of one another

I know you don't have specific things in mind, but assuming Alastair is the only one who actually interacted with the world and the others were just spectators maybe they visited a mix of the future and the past?

It feels odd to me to speculate when I know there isn't an answer, so feel free to ignore me if this is too long or you disagree with it but potential scenes for each of the characters?:

Grace: she can't look at Alastair and is embarrassed - maybe she watched the off-page scene where Charles convinced him to be okay with the engagement to her (and the breakup with Ariadne) so she also feels guilty and more awareness of how her actions have hurt people beyond just James?

James/Cordelia: themselves being a cute couple but while patrolling and they may get a sense of a big danger ahead (for helping in the fight) if Cordelia gets an idea about breaking her deal woth Lilith it may give her hope

Matthew: either the people he knows talking about how to help him when he shuts them out (future or past) and how much it hurts them or something tragic regarding Elias and his alcoholism - it could in the long term help him but may haunt him initally

Anna - what you said was really cool :) maybe a scene future/past similar to Grace where she considers how she's affected her partners after seeing their pain/heartbreak?

Thomas - near future scene of the theives being kinder to Alastair, giving him hope? But Anna isn't there, which is why he's worried it implies there's something wrong

Lucie/Jesse: I think they're most likely to get more direct info about Belial/Tatiana (and maybe James/Grace). Jesse the near future and Lucie years later, where her and Jesse are telling kids (their's?) this story (she doesn't hear the whole thing) which is why she's less worried and can be happy about her and Jesse. Also I think Jesse wouldn't panic if given bad info about his mom he must be used to it by now :/

Christopher: you said he'd have the 2nd most direct warning so it's while they're fighting the big battle he appears in the (empty) lab/theives room/curzon street and sees all of the plans/notes to get an idea of what may be going on (especially for the sciencey parts) hence the fear

how much will he say to the others about what he saw? and how much attention will they pay him once he starts going into all the science jargon (grace aside)? and more to the point, how much of it would they believe? at first, anyway, considering those plans will eventually come into effect? it's not to say they don't trust kit's opinions or don't think he's telling the truth, but when his experiments and such are involved, you can sense the apprehension. imagine if alastair, anna and grace (maybe even jesse) are like "no no hang on, keep going, what do you mean?" IM GOING CRAZY

In light of some Frozen 2 ~theories~ here is my ideal ending for the movie!! Theories are based on some ~evidence but not confirmed spoilers, under the cut anyway in case you want to go into the movie without any ideas. 

So the theory that Anna is going to be queen of Arendelle at the end of the movie fucks. That’s so cool. HOWEVER I hope the movie (if this is true) puts a lot of effort into developing Anna’s desire to be queen, because I don’t really see it. 

Anna had a lonely and isolated childhood in the castle, and an even worse teenager-ship after her parents died. She’s chomping at the bit to get out of the castle, and runs into town (unescorted, unsupervised) as a whole-ass royal because FINALLY she gets to be somewhere else! Even as she makes new, good memories with Elsa & Kristoff, the castle still has 18 years of Terrible stored up in it and that’s hard to let go of! 

She loves people, she loves Kristoff, and she’s up to her ears in manic energy. Personally, I always saw her as going up to the mountains with Kristoff, and settling there. She could be around other mountain people (there seems to be a lot of ice harvesters), have a big family, be free of scrutiny and supervision and be valuable for her skills that help the harvest and the village and her family. She wouldn’t be a spare or an extra of the lesser version of her sister. She could be Anna, and build the life she wanted. 

Elsa had the air of duty about her; it pervaded literally everything she did. She kept her powers to herself because she thought it was safer, repressed her feelings because she thought it would help others. Became queen because that’s what she was born to do. She stays at the ball and doesn’t indulge in fun or get pulled off into conversations with one person, she’s distant but visible to/technically available to all. Of course she learns that repression and duty are not synonymous, but everything comes from a place of wanting to act for the greater good, even if it hurts her. 

At the coronation ball, Anna was not only disinterested in but just didn’t talk to dignitaries, show herself around, or survey everything like her sister. She got pulled in by the Duke, swept off by Hans, and by the time she was back the ball ends quickly thereafter. She’s always prioritized personal relationships and while you can’t blame her, that’s not a feasible way to act as queen. 

Part of it is Anna’s age, and I believe Frozen 2 in 3 years after Frozen? So she’s grown up since then, in her 20s, and maybe feels more ready to lead a kingdom. 

But! I bet she’d be real happy up in a mountain with her giant husband and many children. Of course she and Elsa would still visit (someone has to fulfill the role of rich single aunt that brings the gift reckoning on Christmas ;) )

do not watch anna 😭 its really not worth it, i watched it after taking a 5 hour long exam as a treat....nearly started crying bc it just was not good and it was only lenny miller saving the movie! all you need to know about him was he was a cia agent and he did not have much personality which is great bc we can headcanon him 🔥 but i recommend in the heart of the sea cillians character is so cute and i always wanted to backstory him like how this fandom created henry wilson (btw are we open to henry wilson headcanons bc he is so 🥰)

“C’mon, little brother. She’s been looking at you the whole night”. Will says palming his back, after catching him distracted for the third time.

“Go, before I do”. Frankie challenges him with a petty smile, knowing it’s going to be enough to force the boxer to take the step.

Taking a deep, deep breath, finding in that gesture the encouragement he needs, Benny goes straight to you, waiting for the bartender to serve you another beer.

At first, you don’t notice his presence, until the unknown guy stops by your side leaning too over the bar. You two cross your gazes, sharing a soft smile that makes your knees tremble. The blonde looks really good, but for some reason, you have the feeling that he could be an idiot, so when he throws at you one of those horrible pickup lines, you can’t help but roll your eyes.

“I’m gonna give you advice. Don’t hit a girl like that”. You just reply with a chuckle, referring to his words.

“I’m more into hitting men”.

For a second, where you were about to leave with your drink, you squint at him having a sip and trying to understand the meaning of his affirmation.

“I box, professionally”.

“Oh…” You nod your chin, puckering your lips, showing him that this fact doesn’t impress him at all. “Congrats. Good luck in your next fight”.

Not giving him the chance to continue the talk, you come back to your table under the attentive looks of your friends, who are laughing at the poor guy and the gesture on his face. His brothers, on the other hand, have slapped their faces whilst shaking their heads disappointed. As soon as Benny joins him, Santi slaps the back of his neck, causing him to choke in his beer.

“There must be something wrong with my eyes, ’cause I can’t take them off you? Really, Benny? Really?”

The guys are laughing when Pope repeats his sentence, as Will puts an arm over his shoulders. “You’re lucky to have me… Big brother to the rescue”.

Anna nudges you, making you turn on your stool to watch a second guy walking towards you, very secure of himself. The only thing you wanted tonight was to have fun with your friends and seems it’s not going to be an option. Crossing a leg over the other and nailing an elbow on the table, resting your chin on your palm, you force a smirk when he offers you a kind smile.

“Good nights, ladies, sorry to interrupt. William, a pleasure”.

The man holds your free hand without asking for it to stretch it. Firmly. Like only a soldier would do —as your father does. He turns for a second to his friends, laying his oceanic and hypnotic eyes on you with a charming and funny grimace on his face.

“Sorry ‘bout my brother, you know... too many punches”. He has captivated your friends, who are gasping for him and the honeyed tone he’s using, covered by a raspy voice. “He has watched you looking at him and he was nervous, but he’s not a bad guy. Just a little asshole. But he’s worth it, believe me”.

“Okay”. You reply slowly, raising an eyebrow earning your attention little by little.

“He has begged me to not come, but I think you’re too smart to not have a date with him”.

“Your brother was right, you didn’t have to come. And you’re wrong, more or less. I’m very smart, but having a date with him doesn’t seem a very intelligent idea”.

“Got it. But he’ll be waiting for you at seven in Kaleo’s, tomorrow night”. A negative it’s not an option to the soldier, showing you his perfect white teeth in a huge smile clapping his hands before leaving. “Good night, ladies. Have a good time”.

Since last night, you've been debating with your friends if you should go to the date just to prove both men were wrong. Lucy would call you crying if you text her in case the guy is another idiot.

The first test is to see if he'd wait for you, arriving thirty minutes later than the hour William told you. Your heart can't help but race a little when you find the blonde boxer sitting on the hood of a black Mustang, in front of the restaurant. Wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans, he has both legs crossed and his hands laced over his lap. Head bowed down and a sigh escaping his lips as he checks the clock on his wrist. Poor guy, he's thinking you are not going to come.

You send a picture of him to the chat group where your friends are asking you if he's still there and, in less than a second, you receive a bunch of heart emojis from all of them. Keeping your phone in a pocket, as you tuck in your hands too, you begin to walk towards him. Step by step. Taking your time with a soft smirk curving your lips as you come closer and closer. Watching him texting someone too, you roll your eyes, imagining it's to some random chick to hang out with, due you have stood him up. Until you're almost leaning above his shoulder and you see he's texting his brother —who is very interested in knowing if you're there or not. You melt as he replies: “amma wait another thirty minutes, maybe there's traffic”.

“You can say to your brother I'm here”. You whisper into his ear, taking him by surprise and causing the boxer to jump off from the hood.

“Oh, fuck. You scared the shit outta m— Where you readin' my phone?”

“Nah, I've some witch in me”. You lie terrible, feeling goosebumps on your arms when his gesture changes suddenly.

A grin like a Cheshire cat decorates his face, offering you his phone as he pressed the small microphone in the bottom right corner.

“Hey, big brother, I came. I hope you weren't wrong”.

“I'm Ben, by the way”. He introduces himself as keeping his phone in a pocket, to offer you his right hand.

“(Y/N)”. You stretch it then, feeling a little nervous at his touch.

“So, this is the plan. We have a beer, and if you think I'm a freak, you can run away before dinner. No questions, no explanations. You just… leave”.

God, that's really sweet. He's nervous too and you can see in his blue eyes how scared he is if you really decide to disappear.

“Deal”. You accept, tilting your head to the restaurant.

A couple of minutes later Ben is sitting in front of you and the first thing that captivates your attention is the fact that he doesn't put his phone on the table. Living in the technology era, everybody keeps an eye on their devices. Constantly. But he's not like everybody. He wants to talk. Know about you. What you do in your free time, what you do for a living, what unveils you at night… And you talk for hours.

Ben tells you what pushed him to be in the army, why he decided to dedicate his life to boxing and he also jokes about how you could fix him up after his fighting. Something like a plan of the future. Together. As friends —as he points out to not make you feel uncomfortable, thinking that he is forcing you to have a relationship. You also discover that your taste in music and movies are very similar, just like your hobbies. And that makes you think about the fact that William will tell you “I wasn't wrong”.

The boxer gladly takes you home, not stopping your chat even when one of the two of you doesn't know what to say, Benny has shown you in some way he enjoys too much the sound of your voice though —how it goes a little higher when you're excited about something, how your throat vibrates when you laugh. And he's falling in love with the disgusted tic that wrinkles your nose when you don't like something, in a funny gesture.

You would die for staying together a little more, but you have obligations to attend tomorrow and your friends haven't ceased sending your texts asking you how it's going. As Ben stops his car next to your house, you sigh not knowing what to do —if just say bye, thank you, ask for his number, kiss him? Yes, you'd like to kiss him right now, but what does it say about you? Should you wait until the second date?

“Got a fight tomorrow night if you're free”. His proposition pushes you back to reality, turning at him on your seat while resting a shoulder against it. “You can invite your friends, mine will be there”.

“Your brother too?” You ask giggling, noticing the change on his grimace to somewhat underwhelmed because of your interest.

“Yeah, he will come”. Ben mumbles pressing his lips after nodding briefly.

“Ugh… Is he the kind of person who has fun saying I told you?”

Ben's gesture suddenly changes again. The shine in his blue deep eyes reappears and you provoke him a strong laugh when you furrow your nose like he literally adores.

“You've had a good night then?”

“Yes”. You don't hesitate to respond, leaning towards him to press your lips on his cheek with a loud kiss.

“See? He told you”. Ben can't help but make fun of you, earning a soft punch to his shoulder that makes him laugh one more time. “It's in the Holou gym, at seven”.

“Okay, I'll not forget it”. You reply, taking your phone and setting an alarm an hour before starting to have time to get ready. “Good night, Ben”.

“Good night, (Y/N)”.

Long time no asks so I am offering u a glee version of into the woods complete with my casting and some songs I really love from it :)

Baker and his wife: Finn and Rachel (Rachel would insist on being one of the lead female roles and this is the one I think suits her the best, and ofc she'd want to play opposite finn lmao)

Cinderella: Mercedes!!! Getting another of the main female roles! It's what she deserves!! (And this does indeed make Sam Cinderella's prince!)

Jack: blaine ajdjakf who else could u picture singing giants in the sky (I tried suggesting Jesse st James and my gf just rolled her eyes bc i won't stop reminding her that he auditioned for nyada with that song lmao)

Little red riding hood: Brittany! Need I say more?

Rapunzel: Tina!! Admittedly it's more of a minor role but Tina absolutely deserved a bigger role than she ever got and rapunzel is the closest I could find for her here (and this also makes Mike rapunzel's prince)

The witch: ok ok this is 100% a santana role bc she'd do SO good at playing the villain and also!! Last midnight!!!! Meryl Streep did incredible with it and I can picture santana bringing that same level of angst to her own performance! Easily my fave song of the soundtrack now

The wolf: another minor role but puck would nail it,,, admittedly it's bc he's the most likely to make me uncomfortable but like,, yeah,,,

Narrator (in the movie it's actually the baker but my gf said that it's a separate role in the stage version and I'm rolling with that): Kurt!! I wish I could've found a different role for him but he also just had a pretty n soothing voice so I know he'd be fine

Admittedly with the casting as it is, no one is alone would be sung by Mercedes and finn (with britt and blaine chiming in) and I kinda prefer the gcv we have, but this casting also allows for Sam and Mike singing agony (a really funny scene imo), as well as the songs I mentioned above (am vv enthusiastic about santana singing last midnight dnsjkfks). Also I couldn't find extra roles for quinn and artie, which makes me very disappointed in myself (I actually considered uht as Cinderella's step-mom and sisters but it would be a pain for brittana trying to switch costumes between scenes)

Anyway yeah it's a lovely lil soundtrack and Anna Kendrick and Emily blunt and meryl streep are in the movie so I'd recommend it if u haven't already seen it :)

i am very down for seeing santana in a witch outfit but also yes she would absolutely sell that song she’d make some points !! & giants in the sky is so easy to picture as a blaine song…. but my fav is sike singing agony bc i just love that for them would be very fun

also if i may add… finchel doing it takes two would be so fun… maybe i just love dammit janet and finchel duets in general but i think that would be one of my favs if they did it :-)

I think you two would be a perfect match. You two would probably meet at school. He'd have this HUGE crush on you but would be way too nervous to make a move. So you do it yourself. You ask him out. It's 2021, why the hell not. After your first date and when you start dating you two would hang out all the time. You spend so much time together that it's weird to see one of you alone somewhere. You and Peter are both very curious and adventurous people so you'd go on walks around the city and just explore. And you'd find this cute place that you two would start calling it 'your spot'. But at the same time due to peter's 'job', he likes to spend a lot of time at home just chilling. Movie nights + cuddling are a weekly occurrence. You'd be Peter's safe space, his comfort person, the one he goes to when he's happy or sad. He just wants to be with you all the time in general haha.

In defense of bill denbrough

I don't have the room for screenshots (I tried to make them a gif of a slideshow but it kept crashing Tumblr bc huge files) but I'll sum up a few things I want to clear up in this

People thinking that Bill chose to be in charge of the losers to be bossy

Him wanting to leave Eddie in the sewers just because

That he was selfish

That he didn't have important problems ig?? Or that his story was uninteresting??

I want to talk about his perseverance despite a bad home life

And how the losers love him, if the losers you love can love him, you can too

And my last point is about how most people think somehow that Bill would be at all discriminatory??

I have bits and pieces from the book for all the claims and more coming below; I reread the whole book for this but kept what seemed most important to bring up

First; I'm going to start with how Bill didn't actually choose to be in charge, he didn't want to boss people around. It was clear in him and also sometimes noticed by the other losers, notably Eddie:

Eddie notices twice that the whole leadership thing is taking a major toll on Bill's physical and emotional health. That and Bill doesn't want to be the planner and the leader. He thinks he's a freak and he doesn't think he knows what he's doing. They nominated him as leader from a young age. He couldn't control that. (In order to preserve image quality and go into more detail on specific screenshots I will be making individual metas on each of my bullet points, this is just the large post where I vent my issues with the fandom perception)

Next I'd like to debunk the assumption that Bill wanted to leave Eddie in the sewers. He didn't, he wanted to come out alive with the others who still had a chance at making it. If you want further to analyze this, it can be brought up that Richie and Bev didn't want Bill to take Audra's alive body from the sewers despite us all saying Bill is the asshole for not being able to carry Eddie out.

In fact, Bev and Ben were the ones to originally suggest leaving Eddie. And to further that, Bev yelled at Bill for trying to get the living human out as well. Bev's motivations were more rushed and selfish, but Bill had the overarching goal of getting them all out.

That segways nicely into a point I'd like to make about how Bill genuinely was the most determined to kill It and not just for his own reasons, he thought of the other kids who might die several times while the other losers like to gloss over that:

When Richie went to go see the horror picture, he decided to pretend Bill's fingers hadn't almost been cut off. Put it off as a joint hallucination. And direct quote "besides there was no law saying he had to spend the next ten years thinking about it, was there? Nope"

If Bill hadn't pleaded with Richie to help, Richie would have had no intention of trying to get rid of It and save the other kids, even after Richie had to watch his friend get injured firsthand.

Stan was the same, not wanting to end up in the "nuthouse" on juniper hill. But Bill's motivation to save the town pulled even the most hesitant losers in to help.

And it's not just saving the kids from pennywise. No, he initiated a fight with Bowers not even knowing that his friends would join him and help, all to help a kid that he didn't even know. Mike Hanlon.

Not only was he the most determined, but in regards to pennywise trauma, he already had something very lasting to deal with as far as his mental health. His parents were neglectful and his brother was dead, and he kept on trying regardless. He was depressed, which is very clear in the book.

There's the point when he's getting Eddie's inhaler and it states "just as if Ben would be astounded if you asked him if he was lonely, Bill would have been likewise astounded if asked if he was courting death."

The narration makes it abundantly clear that Ben is lonely and always has been, which symbolises here that Bill is clearly suicidal, even if not actively, he does try to die/do things to harm himself with no intention of stopping.

This passage was heartbreaking. His fear in this scene was that everyone would forget about him, like his parents did, and like Georgie was gone. It's all his fault, he decides, and he thinks he deserves to be punished but he's still fully terrified of what he thinks he deserves.

In that note, his parents were neglectful, which affected him consistently in his thought process.

He wouldn't finish dinner because he couldn't stand to sit with them when they were so cold with him.

Mike mentions as adults that Bill practiced that poem so much because Bill wanted so badly for his mom to think he's a good boy. Bill cried at this, again as an adult.

He wanted to take pennywise's severed head to his parents and talk about how he'd avenged Georgie and "would they please finally talk to him"

He even thinks one point about how his parents are so caught up in their grief that he wonders if they know he's hurting, or if he's being reckless.

But unlike Sharon and Zack Denbrough. The losers were smitten with him. There's several passages of the losers talking about how much he means to them or how good he is.

Not to mention that Bill is the only one Bev told about her abusive father. She told him and he coaxed it out of her to let herself say she hated him, which is a huge turning point in the development of the way she views evil.

On a whole new thread of thought, I'd like to bring up how the fandom likes to pretend that Bill would be the most discriminatory loser?? I have a whole other meta to write about comparing losers in that way but Bill very clearly had the least ill intent towards minorities.

He met Mike and Mike was scared he'd ask questions about what it was like to be black, but Bill just asked him about baseball, and this comforted Mike. There's also when Richie is teaching Eddie about syphilis and how men and women get it from fucking, and Bill jumps in to say "unless it's two guys who are queer" and he had no malace or upset towards gay men, he just found it important to include in the conversation, which could be a nod to Bill accepting Eddie as gay, or even being mlm himself because it was a quick thought to have if it wasn't something prevalent in his life. He knows the shopkeep where he got silver the second time was gay, and was apologetic for scaring him, mentally acknowledging the hate crime

It was a love story, from the very beginning.

(4x01, 4x05 and 4x10) "I'm not a hammer"

Hello my friends! How are you?? This is a very ambitious project... I'm rewatching season 4 and my analytical brain couldn't stop there... So... I will write Destiel metas starting from this season. With the help of my friend @agusvedder , she is such a talented girl doing gifs, so she will be my gif maker artist in this project. And I will share with you too our discussions, because she is a great meta writer too! 💕💕💕

Ok... Let's start with this.

I won't write a meta about 4x01, just because there's a lot written about this episode, and I wrote a lot about it too... If you want to check it...

Let's come back to the day we met

Castiel and his seduction techniques

I just want to point one situation here, bc in this first encounter we had Castiel sensing a lot of things from Dean, almost reading him as a book (should be very intense for Dean, like someone reading your darkest and hidden feelings) but yeah, one of the most strong lines CAS said to Dean was...

If this was Dean's problem... No... Not the bluest eyes he'd ever seen... But having not faith, when he first met Cas, that problem disappeared.

Look at this, in "Yellow Fever" he had this scene, when Dean was experiencing fear bc the ghost illness...

He didn't believe in angels, he didn't believe in God, but now... In the middle of his fears, he has faith, thanks to Castiel. Cas is now his faith, from the very beginning he was Dean's faith. He embraces the Bible and pray. Agus said Dean was maybe praying to Cas and I said to her... Thanks for ruining my life.

Why you didn't help me?

Another thing I noticed in this season, and is so repetitive, DEAN IS ALWAYS SCOLDING CASTIEL FOR NOT HELPING HIM IN THEIR HUNTS. He is always recriminating him that. Even the second time they met (when CAS was so intimidating with him, I will talk about that in the second volume).

Why was this?

Dean wanted to have this kind of relationship with his savior angel , ok, he saved him from Hell, a huge, huge thing for Dean, but, inside of him, he wanted Cas to be a friend, inside of him he needs to trust him, to count on him. He wants him near helping them. Dean even started to call him "CAS" very early in the season. He was pulling him from the very beginning, putting Castiel in a hard situation with the other angels, bc they didn't allow this kind of relationship with humans. So Dean insisted... Insisted, and we know how this ended.

And what about Castiel?

I noticed Cas very concerned about what Dean thought about him, you know? Like when you meet a very great and nice person and you want that person get to know you and trying him not to get the wrong idea about you??? Searching for an opportunity to let him know, to talk with him and tell him, because he is important to you, and what he thinks about you, is important. Cas didn't know why yet, but Dean Winchester's impression about him, it was important for him.

So, when Dean treat Cas and Uriel like hammers, Cas felt he needed to talk with him, and tell him he wasn't a hammer. Bc Dean was, in a very unexplainable way, important to him.

That's why we had their first heart to heart talk in that park.

Here... The first time Cas smiled at Dean, so sweet... They felt comfortable with each other's company, sitting there, talking... The man and the angel. Is such a beautiful image, this unexplainable "attraction" they felt for each other would be unstoppable.

But it looks like... We are hammers after all...

And then we had episode 10... Anna recovered her memory and they settled a plan to make Hell and Heaven to confront each other's.

And it was in this episode, in which Dean called Uriel and Cas hammers again, and CAS knew it why, because they were acting like hammers, even when he had said he wasn't that to Dean... And that's why we had this sad scene...

Dean: You are a couple of hammers son of a bitches.

Cas: I guess we are. So?

Uriel made a comment comparing Anna with Ruby, and that was enough for Castiel... First... Dean called him hammer, even when he took his time to talk with Dean in the park... Trying to make him see he wasn't that... Now he has to say it, bc they were that.

And then, after this, Castiel was with his head lowered.

He was ashamed of all of that, he was ashamed to be that hammer he said he wasn't, and Dean was watching him, with disappointment.

Dean wanted to believe in Castiel bc he was sure CAS was different, but when he was acting like the bunch of army angels around him, it was difficult.

Castiel was still following his instructions strictly, even if he wasn't agreed... The "something is wrong with all of this " started to bloom since he met Dean.

To conclude:

Since the first encounter Dean and Castiel were fascinated with each other. The curiosity for knowing more from each other lead them to trying to trust and get closer.

Dean become a believer thanks to Castiel and Castiel becoming suspicious about his superiority's orders. Slowing starting to gravitate around each other.

Castiel wanted to show Dean he wasn't a hammer, but his duty and obedience to the Heaven's rules drag him into that word again ANGEL WERE HEAVEN'S HAMMERS.

Dean wanted to trust him, wanted from Castiel friendship, demanding the angel for his help almost constantly and blaming him for being absent.

Well what can I say ? It's an absolute yes for me aaaa

I think Jason is good with nature all together. He probably could have been the best boy scout ever! I think his mother taught him to be respectful toward nature, its tranquility and beauty is very calming to him (probably another reason why he dislikes teenagers and others when they ruin everything when having parties and just being unrespectful)

He doesn't know how to make a flower crown... but he would love to learn to make one with his s/o! He would be so admirative of their skill and would watch attentively, he won't miss any detail and is probably the best student you will ever have. When he is done mimicking your action and has done a crown of his own, tell him he's a good boy and that his mom is surely proud of him. He'll be the happiest dork ever, blushing at your compliment and would be absolutely flushed when he hear his mother telling him that, yes he is such a good boy. Keeps it on his head until the flowers are completely dead. If intruders come while he has it he'll delicately leave it in his cabin. No blood will touch his crown!

Now at first Huntress may laugh a bit at the idea. A flower crown ? Really ? Not necessary for survival and not even eatable. But I personally headcanon that she actually loves cute stuff, she just never really had the time to make those, after all she had to survive alone for so long, she had no time for such frivolties... yet it would remind her of long lost memories, flowers that her mother would pick, their delicate perfume as she would show Anna what was their name. It's A bittersweet memory that she can't help but cherish.

Probably won't make one, but if her s/o do one for her she will be so touched and moved. Would wear it with her s/o only and would sing her lullaby with nostalgia. She'll make one for her s/o too so that they match. Definetely thinks it looks better on them than her.
