I sometimes rant about Star Wars fans taking fanon at face value and just assuming it’s canon but I think it’s very funny that we’ve had two separate instance in the last decade where someone started a rumor about what Dooku’s first name is and everyone just ran with it for a while

#like i remember back in i think 2016-2017-ish someone started a rumor his first name was glamnor or some shit like that #and more recently someone decided his full name was yan dooku and some people still think that's canon #it's not #his wookieepedia page just says dooku for both canon and legends as a rule of thumb that means his first name has never been confirmed #if it had been they'd update it cause wookieepedia is usually pretty quick with updates like that #honestly i don't care what his first name is like it just doesn't matter #they confirmed palpatine's first name to be sheev 8 years ago and people joke about how weird a name it is to this day #because star wars names are weird and often kinda dumb by real world standards #so if you get too caught up theorizing a character's first name you'll just be underwhelmed with whatever it turns out to be #so yeah. his first name doesn't matter he's count dooku that's all he needs to be #count dooku #star wars #shut up tristan
