btw! i need to make this obvious because ive definitely gotten vagued for it before and unfollowed:

me not liking a character doesnt mean i dislike your blog or portrayal. i can think a canon character is a scum bag but still want to write with you or like the way you write them. i prommy i can detach enough not to insult you, and i dont really bitch much about characters i dislike anymore anyway unless theyre like.... openly nazis.... like the von struckers and sinister..

in the same vein, erik disliking someone doesnt mean i dislike that character, and it ESPECIALLY doesnt mean i dislike you. erik kinda fucking hates @sebastianshaw and i hate the modern takes on shaw wrt his dynamic with emma, but i adore rf and love watching them interact.

#like. sometimes i think ppl take stuff really really personally and intertwine feelings when they have no bearing on each other #and it can make for really hostile environments.#like i promise me shitting on stark for all the stark tech that advances sentinels and calling cap gene trash is #not me shitting on ppl who write these characters in the slightest.#its also genuine critiques which.. like.. idk i think you can and should acknowledge that your fave might be a shitty person sometimes.#speaking as someone whose written a chara whose gone through a tremendous amount of changes and arcs #and spent 20 years completely unsympathetic and incredibly hammy and didn't have any redeeming qualities until the claremont era #-- HOBBIES: MAGNETS.
