im going to need more time to formulate a bigger post on my thoughts on nier:a but purely from the stance of story and the mechanics that interact with story that was a solid 5-6/10 game for me but in the same way Gestalt is often considered a 5/10 game by its fans where itll haunt you forever and ever and ever and you will be up at night in your 60s thinking about it

#like i know upon seeing the low score ppl might assume i find nier:a bad #i dont. that was one of the Most stories ive ever witnessed #but to me not every Game That Is GOD DAMN is also a 10/10 game. and not every 10/10 game is GOD DAMN #like for instance: forever kingdom. one of the ugliest worst games to handle and control and listen to #but it is also like one of the best games ever to me. like #number 2 in my top 5. but thay is a 3/10 game that people dont know for a reason #on the other hand we have games like absolute 10/10 most influence games of all time that i dont care for #like gta5. the last of us. i can recognize why theyre given 10/10 but fuck if i care for them #i only played gta5 for the car stuff and was not moved by the plot at all
