Omg, I can't stand that account either! I used to follow them because when I noticed them, they were talking about danmei fandoms needing to be more open to criticism and stuff, which I really felt hard, lol. But the longer I followed, the more I realized how baffling their takes are, especially on Hua Cheng??? I remember there was a tweet once talking about Hua Cheng being sweet to Guzi in that one butterfly scene and this person jumped in, "Note how Hua Cheng calls himself a bad person and Xie Lian doesn't disagree!"

Ever since, I've been really confused because I thought HC being evil/bad is like. A fandom joke? Irony, given the novel's themes? But some ppl actually genuinely believe he is?? Like. Is it this "I love an evil character unapologetically, don't woobify him!" mindset or... I don't get it, lmao. (Not saying he's a saint, but who is in that novel? Didn't know someone being cunty or non-conforming to socially established standards of good and bad = evil 🤔)

There are other things, of course. Don't get me started on the "creepy stalker HC" or "E-Ming and Ruoye shouldn't be kids but horny, perverted adults!" or "JunLian agenda" and whatever else nonsense is out there.

Pop Country

This whole pop country thing drives me crazy. Country music will always and has always been on the top of the pop charts. I dont believe that people know that the pop charts are literally popular songs... so you saying you hate pop country is literally saying that you only want a select group to be able to listen to country music. and even more so you want country artists to not be on the list of the most popular songs in the united states, and make a living off of their music. Now i know what youre about to say "matt these guys dont write their own songs" Wrong, more atists are starting to write their own songs, there will always be atists that pay songwriters to write songs for them. And if thats your argument lets look at george Strait... the king has people write his songs for him, all threw out time country artists have had songwriters. I have nothing at all against someone making a living off their gift or talent, but shitting on kane brown or sam hunt because their songs have catchy beats and lyrics that apply to more than people who listen to country music is ignorant. Chances are they want to make a living off their music, and want music that makes peope dance. Imagine you had the ability to make people dance with your voice and your lyrics. Most of these people you call pop country write their own songs and they also write songs for other country atists thats the way she goes. you may not agree with what these artists say or wear and thats fine but dont bash them for that, theyre not bashing you for your clothing choices or what youre doing with your life. Story time motherfuckers. One time Jason Aldean posted a picture of a beer on instagram and captioned it well deserved after a hard days work or some shit. and an ignorant Matt commented and said "must be hard singing songs other people write" to which he replied "good thing i dont give a damn what you think" it was a couple years laterr that i realized that i did what i hate and i was a hippocrit. Sure he recorded 3 Brantley Gilbert songs on 1 album but he's living his dream and i respect that. most country artists you or your parents like have been on the pop charts. i mean shit waylon was the first country artist to sell a million copies of an album without a major label backing him. that was the outlaw movement it was selling records without labels, but they never shit on artists who did it with the labels. being on the pop charts isnt something we should hate thats something that we should congratulate them on. thats a huge deal that means they bringing more fans to country music which in return will make country artists more successful and maybe Sam Hunt, Kane Brown, Chase Rice, Florida Georgia Line, or Luke Bryan will inspire some kid to start writing and singing country music and he could be the next Garth or George. Do you think Sturgill Simpson or Shooter Jennings dont wanna top the pop charts? Because even if thats not their goal or intention they would not call billboard and tell them to take them the fuck off of it, they would post about it on social media thanking their fans for getting them their.
