seeing parkour civilization blow up as someone who is huge into the mcyt fandom already is crazy because I’m starting to see people post things like “people are drawing yaoi for this series now” and “there’s thousands of fanfics on ao3” and its like BRO YOU GOT NO IDEA.

hearing people talk as if people making fanart/fanfic for a mc youtube series is some new, surreal thing is so fucking funny. not only because this is something i see and do on a daily basis. but also because you get some people claiming that the fanart/fanfic was caused by the recent uptick in popularity (and dont get me wrong that definitely caused a lot of the art you see now) but I definitely saw parkour civ fic out in the wild months ago. like listen to me you can have the nichest smallest mcyt fandom ever and there will still be some really dedicated guy writing a 20k fic about it this is how the world works. as long as there is minecraftyoutuber there will be fanfiction
