The Evolution of Iron Man: A Closer Look at the Mark 39 Suit!!
Iron Man has long been a symbol of technological prowess, creativity, and invincibility within the Marvel universe. Over the years, Tony Stark’s genius has given rise to several iterations of his iconic armor, each designed for a specific purpose. Among these, the Mark 39, also known as "Gemini," stands out as a unique creation that pushes the boundaries of what Iron Man’s suit can achieve. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the world of Marvel collectibles, understanding the evolution of this suit is a journey worth taking, especially when admiring action figures like the ZD Toys Iron Man Mark 39.
The Mark 39: Built for the Stars
One of the defining traits of Tony Stark is his adaptability and ability to innovate in response to the challenges he faces. The Mark 39 suit, introduced in Iron Man 3, reflects Stark’s need to prepare for more extreme environments, specifically those beyond Earth's atmosphere. Dubbed the "Space Armor," this suit was designed for space travel and exploration, featuring enhanced features that distinguish it from its Earth-bound predecessors.
The Mark 39 is part of Stark’s "Iron Legion," a fleet of suits developed after the Battle of New York as part of his House Party Protocol. The suit’s most distinctive feature is its sleek, white-and-black color scheme, a departure from the traditional red-and-gold that fans had come to associate with Iron Man. This color palette was designed to mimic the look of a space shuttle and create a futuristic vibe, setting it apart from other suits.
Advanced Features of the Mark 39
Unlike other suits designed for combat or stealth, the Mark 39 was crafted with space exploration in mind. Let’s delve into some of its most notable features:
Enhanced Flight Capabilities: The Mark 39 was equipped with advanced jet propulsion systems that allowed Iron Man to fly in zero-gravity conditions. This meant that Tony Stark could seamlessly move through space with ease, making it the perfect suit for interstellar missions.
Sealed Environment: Given that the suit was designed for space travel, it was crucial for it to function in the vacuum of space. The suit’s fully sealed environment ensured Tony’s safety, providing life support and protection from extreme temperatures and lack of oxygen.
Stark's Genius in Materials and Build: The Gemini suit featured advanced alloys that were lightweight yet durable enough to withstand the harsh conditions of space. The materials also made it resistant to high-impact damage, ensuring that it could survive space debris or intense atmospheric re-entry.
The Role of Mark 39 in the MCU
Though the Mark 39 does not receive as much screen time as other armors in the Iron Man trilogy, its importance is clear. Tony Stark's growing sense of responsibility to prepare for all possible threats, including extraterrestrial ones, led him to design this suit. The Mark 39, therefore, symbolizes his forward-thinking approach and his refusal to be caught off-guard. While its role in Iron Man 3 might be brief, it’s a favorite among fans due to its unique design and futuristic appeal.
Collecting the ZD Toys Iron Man Mark 39 Action Figure
For Marvel fans and collectors, having the ZD Toys Iron Man Mark 39 action figure is a way to appreciate Stark’s innovative genius up close. This figure captures the essence of the suit, from its sharp black and white details to its realistic build. Collectors love it for its precision and the way it represents Iron Man’s readiness for space exploration.
Why the Mark 39 Matters to Iron Man’s Legacy
The Mark 39 represents more than just another suit in Tony Stark’s growing collection of armors. It’s a testament to his unrelenting drive to innovate and protect, even from threats beyond Earth. It marks an important chapter in Iron Man’s story, as he pushes the boundaries of his technology to ensure he’s prepared for anything. Whether it’s battling foes on Earth or preparing for the unknown dangers lurking in space, Tony Stark’s genius knows no bounds — and the Mark 39 is proof of that.
In conclusion, the Mark 39 “Gemini” suit is a pivotal creation in Iron Man’s arsenal, one that showcases Tony Stark’s versatility and vision for the future. If you’re a Marvel fan or Iron Man enthusiast, the ZD Toys Mark 39 action figure is a must-have piece, offering a tangible way to experience the brilliance behind Stark’s space armor. It’s not just a collectible — it’s a representation of one of Iron Man’s most advanced and awe-inspiring suits. Murderbot Reference: Character Descriptions Part 2
Fandom reference! I tried to note every time a person/thing got a physical description, as well as additional info like how augments work, etc. Please note that there may be spoilers for all five books, but especially Network Effect.
This post contains:
ART’s Senses
ART’s Crew
Three
Rami, Tapan and Maro
Tlacey
Tlacey’s ComfortUnit
Targets (Network Effect)
Barish-Estranza: Eletra, Ras, and Supervisor Leonide
Augments (what they are/how they work)
Other Human Personal Tech (Non-Augments)
Other Bots/Machines: Agricultural Bot, Pathfinders, NE Target Drones, MB’s Drones
Other posts: Part 1; Part 3
ART’s Senses
· Besides cameras, sees ship through internal sensors, “which provided data (heat, density, angles of motions, etc.) that didn’t translate into images, at least not visual images useful to humans.”
· MB guesses that gaps in ART’s memory archives might look like “a giant interruption in the constant incoming reports from subsystems like life support, navigation, etc. It was tricky, because for ART these are not like discrete reports from connected systems, but more like the sensory input I would get from the pads on the tips of my fingers.”
· Does have cameras in many areas, cameras hidden enough that MB didn’t know they existed until ART turned them on and provided access via the feed in NE.
· Likes Amena and talks to her more gently than MB or other humans—it’s more careful of Amena’s feelings. Has talked about human adolescents in a positive way. ART is, on a regular basis, a teaching vessel.
ART’s Crew
· Iris: augmented human. Dark brown skin, wearing a decorative woven bracelet when rescued in NE and a light blue longsleeved T-shirt. Small, shorter and slimmer than Ratthi, but not much bigger than Amena. Dark hair is the curly kind that puffs out a lot, but in NE pulled back and tied up in a band. Hair is long enough that she lifted it up so MB could see her back/neck when checking for an implant. Longsleeved T-shirt and pants and soft shoes are the casual version of ART’s blue crew uniform. Some bruises and scrapes at rescue. Seth’s child.
· Seth: tall, very dark brown skin, “with less hair than most SecUnits,” a mostly-hairless head; earlier description from photograph (later context makes this likely to be Seth) says “no hair on the front half of his head.” Iris’s parent, she calls him “Dad.” Captain of Perihelion.
· Martyn is Iris’s other parent (called “Dad); Seth’s marital partner; earlier description from photograph (later context makes this likely to be Martyn posing next to Seth) says lighter skin than Seth, with short white hair; he/him
· Kaede is about the same size as Iris, but skin is lighter and her hair is yellow
· Matteo is small like Iris and Kaede, and has a lot of dark hair that at rescue had come loose from braids. They/Them.
· Turi is young like Amena. They/Them
· Karime uses she/her
· Tarik uses he/him
· On variation of crew uniform (made for MB): dark blue, pants and jacket of deflective fabric, good quality (better than Station Security), with lots of sealable pockets for weapons and drones. Stability fabric boots, probably tough enough to jam a hatchway. Looks like what human security would wear. ART’s crew logo on the jacket, which also has a collar that folds down.
Three
· SecUnit, with projectile weapon built into arm
· Armor flexes if it shifts its shoulders
Rami, Tapan, and Maro
· All wearing variations on work clothes, no uniform logos. Either Rami or Maro has an implant, but none are augmented. Part of a group marriage of 7 people, with 5 children of various sizes. MB thinks all are young—not far from adolescence.
· Rami: tercera, “which was a gender signifier used in the group of non-corporate political entities known as the Divarti Cluster,” te/ter. Purple hair, red eyebrows, light brown skin. Wearing a jacket.
· Tapan: female. Multicolored braids wrapped up around her head, blue jewel-toned feed interface clipped to ear, slightly darker skin than Rami. Wearing a flower-patterned t-shirt.
· Maro: female. Very dark skin, silver-colored little puffs of hair, “almost beautiful enough to be in the entertainment media.”
Tlacey
· Augmented human female
Tlacey’s ComfortUnit
· Physical configuration doesn’t match SecUnit standard.
· Lots of hair, silver with blue and purple on the ends, pulled back and braided like Tapan’s but in a much more complicated pattern.
· Bare arms show no metal, and no gun ports
Targets (Network Effect)
· When fully affected: look like tall, thin augmented humans. Dull gray skin. Narrow human features, dark brows standing out against smooth gray skin. Colorless lips.
· Not completely identical: one Target on ship is slightly taller and has broader shoulders than the other.
· Targets on ships: wearing formfitting protective suits and partial helmets that initially left a lot of their faces bare. One on the B-E explorer wore “more casual human clothing:” dark green-black pants and jacket, black shirt with a collar. Shoes had heavy treads, designed for rough planetary terrain. Hair looked more normal, with reddish brown tight curls cut close to the head.
· Targets and colonists: gray skin is a progressive condition, not natural or cosmetic effect, some still look like humans who were altered rather than aliens. Not all who still looked somewhat human were fighting on the same side. Most of fighting group wore “the kind of rough work clothing normal for colonies or mining, a cheaper, more battered version of ART’s environment suits with hoods but no breathing gear, or a mix of clean work clothes, plus a random collection of what looked like old uniforms and protective gear.”
Barish-Estranza, Eletra, Ras, and Supervisor Leonide
· B-E uniforms are red and brown with corporate logos
· Eletra and Ras both wear B-E uniforms that are disheveled and torn.
· Eletra has brown skin and dark hair that reaches at least to her shoulder blades.
· Supervisor Leonide has “mid brown” skin “that was common to a large percentage of humans,” with an artificially smooth, even tone that indicated cosmetic enhancement. Dark hair wrapped around the top of her head and she has small metallic and gemstones set in the rim of one exposed ear.
Augments
· According to MB, are “supposed to help humans do things they couldn’t do otherwise, like interface with the feed more completely or store memory archives.”
· Augments that aren’t feed interfaces are meant to correct physical injuries or illnesses.
· Augments are meant to be helpful. Implants are different (MB compares implants to governor modules, something the person has little to no control over)
· Normal augment would have filaments extending directly into the human nervous system. Some augmented humans may have dataports/plug-in interfaces in the back of their necks, since MB is able to pass off its dataport as one of these often.
· Normal augmented human (augmented with feed) has interface built into brain; non-augmented humans have removable interfaces (excluding implants, which seem to be regular interfaces just not removable without surgery).
· Augments and constructs work with “machine-readable code written into human DNA”
· Augmented humans can work more fully in the feed; MB thinks that the drugged-up GrayCris assassins wouldn’t be possible to control with a removable interface, so the controller must be augmented (and this proves correct).
Other Human Personal Tech
· Un-augmented humans can’t access the feed unless their interface is working and attached properly. Tapan’s in-ear interface was taken out while ART’s MedSystem worked, and she had to put it back in before she contacted her partners.
· “Normal external interfaces for humans were designed to look like all kinds of things, from carved natural wood to skin tones to jewels or stones or enamel art pieces to actual plain metal with a brand logo.”
· Human voices on the feed sound like their physical voices, and can show emotions. Humans (and augmented humans) usually subvocalize when talking on the feed.
· During killware attack in ES, Pin-Lee, Mensah and two crewmembers each has portable manual feed interfaces they used to shore up SecSystem; allowing them feed access without using their personal on-body interfaces.
· MB says in AC that killware and malware can’t do anything to humans or augmented humans; the killware attack in ES hurts augmented humans enough that one needs rescue breathing. This could be MB’s lack of knowledge, or it could be because the ES killware is rare, essentially a disembodied bot and an extremely uncommon/unheard of tactic.
Other Bots/Machines
· Agricultural bot: almost 10 meters (~32 feet) tall, covered with spikes. Lower body has 10 long spider limbs for moving around without crushing anything, upper part is a long curving “neck” with a long head also covered in spikes
· Pathfinders: like drone for space. Active scanners that can zip around a planet collecting environmental information and terrain imaging, plus looking for comm signals, possible energy sources, and hostiles. Can relay audio as ART uses it to threaten Targets. Very expensive.
· Drones used by NE Targets: model MB is unfamiliar with. Round and as big around as MB’s head, any holes for cameras or weapons hidden despite size. Made of stealth material (or pattern) that can’t be spotted by camera, but regular vision OK.
· Drones used in ASR, pulled from the hopper: “They were the small kind, barely a centimeter across; no weapons, just cameras.”
· Also in ASR, MB mentions that there also exist drones that aren’t much bigger than the hopper drones but include a small pulse weapon (but as far as availability through the company, you have to get an upper tier package)
· MB’s regular drones: small enough that it can have a flock (at least a couple dozen?) land on it and not impede movement in an EVAC suit. MB mentions technique where it can have drone accelerate a drone straight at a target’s face, and if hit an eye or an ear it goes straight to the brain, so probably fairly small. They are also easy to visually overlook when perched in a room recording people, or sneaking through a doorway. They’re also easy to store in MB’s many pockets.

I replayed Keith so now I have preliminary stats for a basic bio (◡‿◡) will update when i get the final stats or make a new one... and im too lazy to write out the actual bio part lmao. also, joining the picrew bandwagon.
under le cut. retribution spoilers also!
(obligatory INFORMATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE notice)
[the RE-GENE]
name: ??? Keith Kwon gender: male vice: coffee
scar: revenge motivation: life
subtle / forceful fighter / tactician tech savvy / streetwise
description: “Keith Kwon is an average Asian man in his thirties with blue eyes and short, wild and wavy hair. His sense of style is secondhand casual.”
biography: Keith is a dumb soft gay idiot thanks for coming to my TED talk
Keith’s biggest problem has always been empathy. It’s both a strength and a weakness - lately mostly the latter. He feels intensely enough even without telepathy, so being always connected to people makes his life hell (and he’s very bad at completely locking his talents down). As a result he’s constantly tired, grumpy, and guarded. Paranoid, even, since his return to Los Diablos - he’s not about to make the same mistakes that got him a fate worse than death in the past.
Having more of a tactical mindset, Keith relies on subtlety and stealth to get things done. Slow and steady wins the race, and he likes to consider every option before committing. Despite that he is quick to think on his feet when needed and can wiggle his way out of trouble... most of the time. But he’s not infallible and not without impulsivity, especially when it comes to certain people. It’s hard to remain logical when eaten alive by your emotions, and Keith has plenty.
Above all, Keith just wants to live. But the scars left by Heartbreak and the Farm run deep, leaving deep-seated hatred and fear, forming into a need for revenge. That need has grown into a desire to tear the system down, whatever the cost: Keith believes that’s the only way he’ll ever be free to live in peace. But he has doubts and hates the path he’s on: it’s only a matter of time before he breaks, hopefully by someone showing him this isn’t his only option.
relationships: Has been in love with Ortega since forever. Lately Steel has also been on his mind, much to his confusion. He cannot figure Argent out and thus keeps his distance, and Herald mostly just gives him a headache (though he is growing fond of him). Despite trying to maintain only professional relationships as his alternate personas, he’s growing close with Rosie and Dr. Mortum (as well as tech shop coworker Marcia).
trivia: Apparently he reads Murakami, who definitely exists and writes in the FH universe because I say so. He also very much likes words just in general, reading and crosswords in particular. His favorite color is blue and he is unable to shave without leaving some stubble behind - maybe he’s lazy, maybe he’s incompetent, maybe he doesn’t care. Maybe it adds to the lowkey depressed aesthetic. Who knows. He also likes dumb sweaters (but the black turtleneck underneath is always the same - he probably has a dozen of the same shirt smh what a disaster).
health: (because apparently this deserves its own section!) Keith is an anxious, insomniac wreck with severe issues about intimacy, especially the physical kind. It’s not uncommon for him to stay up multiple days in a row, though the effects are somewhat less severe now that he can just leave his body and slip into Eden. He’s also a perfectionist and workaholic, so at least he always finds things to do. The most serious damage is in his hands: the heartbreak fall and glass shards severed and compressed his nerves, causing motor and sensory damage. As a result, they shake constantly and he has trouble distinguishing between temperatures and small details, and his pain reflex is suppressed. The shaking he’s happy to explain away as just a side effect of his caffeine addiction, which is no secret to anyone. He’s able to somewhat mitigate the effects with specialized gloves so he can still do tech work, and the villain suit has built-in accommodations.
[the VILLAIN]
name: Puppetmaster Evenfall armor: mysterious equipment: jump-jets and telepathic boosters debut: thief career: anarchist
description: “Evenfall’s suit is a shadow with a mirror for a face, revealing nothing. In its left hand, the suit has a neutered colony of nanovores functionally similar to having a disintegration touch, as well as being equipped with telepathic boosters and enhanced speed, as well as jump-jets.”
biography: sexy bastard after justice, mission focused, but has no body count
Evenfall is the polar opposite of Keith. He’s confident, cool and detached, menacing, and shares none of Keith’s many fears and anxieties. He’s willing to do what needs to be done, but he’s not unreasonable, quite the opposite. If he can, he will take a non-intrusive and peaceful approach, preferring a polite discussion to a brawl.
Above all, Evenfall is after justice - and more specifically justice given, not taken. He won’t abuse telepathy to get people on his side, hoping to cause real change. It might be silly and idealistic, but underneath the armor is still the softness of Keith, and Keith doesn’t want to become what he hates so much. He still thinks like a hero and prefers to get his funding by stealing from other villains now that he can feasibly do so.
So far, no mission of Evenfall’s has gone wrong... badly, at least. The meticulous, almost obsessive planning has paid off, and he knows his limits. No objective is worth his life or his identity, and he’d rather back off to fight another day than risk it.
[the PUPPET]
name: Eden gender: female description: “Eden is a tall Black woman in her twenties, with brown eyes and long curly black hair.“
biography: Eden is cocky and sexy but all about business so eyes up here yo
Eden is everything Keith is not. Confident, sexy, charismatic, mischievous, and very, very female. Not that Keith minds much, he’s good at compartmentalizing, and more importantly, he was always good at being he was supposed to be. That extends to his alternate identities.
Eden is a face, a business front, but Keith can’t bring himself to think of her as a tool. She is a person - not him, really, and also nothing without him, but she’s still a person. And though it’s not real, he’s growing very fond of the masquerade, and he’s very good at pretending things can be real. He does it enough in his own body.
But more than anything, Eden is for business. Even if he sprinkles fun and games in between there with Mortum, with Rosie, that’s what she was designed for and that’s what she’ll stay as. If things go south, she’s the part Keith will have the least trouble abandoning.
#fallen hero: rebirth#fallen hero: retribution#fh:r#my disaster children#keith#eden#puppet#m!sidestep#bio thingy#what an absolute fucking disaster

Fallout OC Interview
Stolen from @red-flare-art :p
Rules:
1) Choose an OC
I’m gonna do Kaili, because I love her, and I’m also going to do Anna’s responses as well, because she’s the newest one!
2) Answer questions as that OC
3) Tag 5 people to do the same
Er... I don’t know 5 people in the Fallout universe soooooo..... If you see this and you want to do it, consider yourself tagged!
1) What is your name?
K: My name is Kaili Swesson; pleasure to meet you!
A: Name’s Anna Levine.
2) How old are you?
K: Well, I was born on February 29, 2032, and it’s now almost October of 2289... So around two hundred and fifty-seven! Of course, I was cryogenically frozen from October 23, 2077 to October of 2287, so technically I’ve only lived for forty-seven years.
A: Old enough to know better than to ask people their age, Jesus.
3) What do you look like?
K: Oh, I’d say I’m a little taller than average, lean. Black hair, usually keep it in a bun... I do have some pretty distinctive scars. Mirelurk Queen acid is pretty damn painful. And I had an... exciting military career, Pre-War.
A: I look like one of those things that regularly tries to eat people, just with a bit more sanity in my eyes. I’m a fucking ghoul, the hell do you expect me to look like?
4) Where are you from? Where do you live now?
K: I was born in Boston, actually! I split my time now between Goodneighbor, Nuka-Town, and Sanctuary Hills, though, as far as ‘home’ goes. Generally I’m out wandering the Commonwealth, doing my General duties.
A: Some no-name town in California. Ended up in the Mojave area long before it was a nuclear wasteland. I’m a Courier now, so I don’t really call any place ‘home.’
5) What was your childhood like?
K: Oh, quiet enough. I had a few friends - Meg, actually, is a ghoul now! It was so shocking to find out she survived, especially living in the Glowing Sea as she did.
A: I spent more time with technology than people. Stayed true through my adult life, too. Not much has changed.
6) What groups are you friendly with? Are you allied with any factions?
K: I’m the General of the Minutemen, so I’d say that I’m pretty allied with them! The Railroad and I get along well, and the Brotherhood of Steel and I... Eh. Maxson and I have, ah. Discussed things. We came to an understanding.
A: Only alliance I have is with the guy who used to be my boss, is now a decrepit living corpse tucked away in an old casino. NCR and I are on friendly enough terms, I suppose, but we don’t do anything but business. I don’t trust anyone from any of the Strip families as far as I can trust them, though.
7) Tell me about your best friend.
K: Oh, that’s tough. My best friend growing up was Meg, absolutely. Always had a weird thing for technology, smart head on her shoulders! Nate and I... we were basically platonic soulmates, honestly. Only people we could trust after we mustered out was each other, so we ended up tying the knot. Now... Well, I’m friends with Gage, Hancock, and Preston, obviously. And Piper, Strong, Nick, Cait, and Curie. Deacon and I are as friendly as two people can be when one’s a pathological liar. I honestly couldn’t say who I would consider my best friend!
A: My best friend? Shes hanging on my back right now. She’s the ah.... silent-but-deadly type, if you catch my meaning. Her and the other friend strapped to my thigh, they both are. As far as living friends go, Veronica’s like a daughter to me, and Arcade and I get along well enough. Boone is my kind of guy, though. Like him a lot. We understand each other.
8) Do you have a family? Tell me about them!
K: Well, there’s Nate - he died, protecting Shaun. Shaun himself grew up to be a dick, so I don’t much like talking about him. Right now, all the folks I listed above, they’re the ones I consider family, honestly. I love them.
A: I... Don’t have a family now. Had one, back before the bombs dropped. Only recently got closure on what happened to her.
9) What about a partner or partners?
K: Oh, well. That’s a bit of an involved story? Preston, Hancock, and I, we’re all together. But while I was taking care of Nuka-World and the Raiders that inhabited it, I ended up falling for Gage, my right-hand man, and he fell for me. Things were complicated for a bit, but we eventually sorted them out. He doesn’t feel the same for Hancock or Preston as I do, though.
A: Cassidy and I got drunk together once, woke up naked in the Lucky 38 penthouse’s master suite together. We’re still friends, but I wouldn’t call us ‘partners.’ I guess closest I’ve got to that is Boone. Nothing’s happened there, don’t know if it ever will, but. Like I said before, we understand each other in a way no one else can.
10) Who are your enemies, and why?
K: Oh, definitely the Institute, considering that I blew it up. Raiders and Super Mutants, too, obviously. Anything and any one that poses a threat to any settlement or settlers in the Commonwealth, really.
A: Anyone who wakes me up before sunrise. Also Dean Domino, carried a grudge against that prick for two hundred years, finally got to take his ass out.
11) Have you ever heard of The Brotherhood of Steel? What do you think about them?
K: Yes, I have. I think that they could do an awful lot of good for the Commonwealth if they weren’t a huge bunch of racist, species-st, elitist dickbags. They learn to play nice with others and pull that giant stick out of their ass about technology, maybe we’ll get along better someday.
A: Heard of ‘em. Traveled with a couple of ‘em. I think they’re okay, depending on who’s in charge. Barely managed to talk Rob out of destroying their bunker, waiting for a chance to collect on that favor.
12) What about The Enclave?
K: I think they’re delusional, honestly. It’s been two hundred years. There’s no going back now, if there ever was. All we can do now is move forward, build anew.
A: Fuckin’ nuts, the lot of them. The fuck they think they’re gonna be able to do with the way tech is right now? The way the people have gotten used to the wasteland working?
13) How do you feel about Super Mutants?
K: I have... mixed feelings about Super Mutants. Mostly, they’re annoying, but easy enough to deal with when you’re as good with a rifle and shadows as me. But the suiciders? I’ve got... issues with them.
A: The lot up at Jacobstown is nice enough, and long as they don’t go making trouble, I don’t much care about them. Start making trouble, though, and I’ll be more than happy to drag Boone out and help take care of the problem.
14) What’s the craziest fight you’ve ever been in?
K: Well, I don’t exactly get into fights anymore, honestly. Not since my last Hostage Retrieval mission, back in the Pre-War days. Taking back the Castle with an albino matriarch Deathclaw was pretty crazy, though. Oh! One time, I sniped a raider on top of a skyscraper in the Financial District while I was on another skyscraper, and his body went cartwheeling through the air! That was pretty funny.
A: Hm. Well, board meetings back in the day used to be fucking insane, verbal fights to get funding, almost literal fistfights to keep another department from getting the funding mine needed. Nowadays... Big Empty had some weird shit in it.
15) Have you ever fought a Deathclaw?
K: As Sturges likes to say, I still had frost in my hair when I fought my first one! I tend to avoid them now, though, and they’re happy enough to avoid me. Except for Pipsqueak and Larry, but they’re special cases. Did you know that Deathclaws imprint? Like big scaly ducklings!
A: Ugh, yes. Can’t live in the Wastelands for two hundred years without fighting at least a dozen. Luckily the shitheads can’t climb, or it’d be a lot harder to fight them.
16) Do you like fighting?
K: I like sniping, taking out enemies without being seen myself. I don’t like hand-to-hand combat, though. I’d rather use Deliverer or a knife in close quarters, like in a building.
A: You don’t get to live this long without fighting, so it don’t really matter whether or not I like it. I’ll tell you what I do like, though: Outsmarting my opponents.
17) What’s your weapon of choice?
K: Tinker Tom built me a special rifle; I modded it a little to make the scope better, let it take more powerful ammo, but I love that rifle. Deliverer is great, too, and so is the blade Pickman gave me for not killing him. The guy was killing raiders, and I check up on him every so often, make sure he hasn’t moved on to settlers.
A: Silenced rifle or a blade. Best damn weapons for stealth you can have, and let me tell you: The Courier who moves quickest and quietest is the one who gets the package delivered.
18) How do you survive? Your wits, your charm, your skills, brute force, some combination? (a.k.a. what’s your S.P.E.C.I.A.L?)
K: I’m quick, quiet, and I can shoot the wings off a fly. I’m also good at talking, though usually I’m just talking sense. Unfortunately, that seems to have been lacking in the past couple of centuries.
A: Oh, I’m a talker - if you manage to see me, that is. I climbed my way up to Rob’s right hand woman, his head of R&D, you don’t get there without your mouth being able to back up your ideas.
19) Have you ever been in a vault? What do you think about them?
K: I fucking hate Vaults, I hate Vault-Tec, and if I ever meet someone who managed to survive who authorized any of those damned experiments, I’m shooting first and asking questions never. Vault-Tec preyed on innocent people, people who were looking for safety. I hope they all burned in nuclear fire.
A: RobCo got some pretty good contracts out of them, but... Well, I can’t condemn their experiments without also condemning myself. Be pretty hypocritical of me, considering I designed a lot of the tech that went into those Vaults. Nice to see it held up after 200years, though. Better than anyone else’s except WesTek and their Power Armor.
20) How do you beat all the radiation around here? Has it affected you?
K: Rad-X, RadAway, keeping an ear on my Pip-Boy’s geiger counter, and occasionally a suit of Power Armor or a hazmat suit if I can’t avoid the radiation.
A: Darling, no offense, but what the fuck kind of question is that? You got eyes, ain’t you? I’m a goddamned ghoul, that’s how it fucking affected me, and that’s how I beat the radiation, now. I still try to avoid it because I’d like not to lose any more of my sanity than necessary, but by and large, it’s not a problem I have to worry about anymore.
21) What’s your favorite wasteland critter?
K: Pipsqueak, definitely. And Larry, Pipsqueak’s son. They’re the only Deathclaws that haven’t tried to kill me, but only because they imprinted on me and treat everyone at Sanctuary like family, now. Dogmeat’s cute, too; first friend I made out in the Commonwealth.
A: Rex is an absolute gem and anyone who touches him will answer to me. I also like Nightstalkers; I can admire something that can move as quietly as they can, even if they are a pain in the ass.
22) What’s your least favorite wasteland critter?
K: It’s honestly a tie between Radscorpions and Yao Guai.
A: Cazadors, the fuck kind of question is that? No one in the Mojave likes those overgrown wasps.
23) How do you feel about robots?
K: Well, one of my best friends is a synth, Codsworth is a Mister Handy, Curie used to be a Miss Nanny but now she’s got a synth body... I like them. Long as they aren’t trying to kill me.
A: I like them, and they’ve got no choice but to like me. Bow down before the mind that created you, and all that.
24) How many caps do you have on you right now?
K: Um. A lot? I don’t know, I tend to do more bartering with goods than with caps.
A: Enough to get by.
25) Nuka Cola or Sunset Sarsaparilla?
K: Nuka Cola, definitely.
A: Sunset Sarsaparilla; you get tired of Nuka Cola after two hundred years with little else to drink.
26) Do you do chems?
K: Medical only.
A: Nah, not really. The occasional stimpak if something catches me off-guard, but other than that, I stay away from them except for bartering with them.
27) Do you ever think about the Pre-War world?
K: A lot. I grew up in this area, you know? It’s hard to walk around what’s here now and not compare it to the world I used to live in.
A: Sometimes, usually when I’m cursing out a broken terminal, wishing I had the tools I had back when I was head of R&D. Otherwise, I tend not to think about it too much. Why dwell on the past?
28) What’s your deepest regret? What would you do differently?
K: Hm, that’s tough. I don’t - You learned quick in the military that you can’t have regrets, because they’ll eat you alive. I suppose the only thing I would do differently is maybe try harder to find a way to reconcile the Institute with the Commonwealth, see if I could find a way to use their technology for good.
A: That I didn’t go looking for the Sierra Madre sooner. Maybe if I’d gone there right after the War... But that’s two hundred years ago. No use dwelling in the past, like I said.
29) What’s your biggest achievement? Or what do you hope to achieve?
K: Even though it’s my deepest regret, taking down the Institute. As much as I wish I could have found a way to reconcile the Institute and the Commonwealth, they were a threat. A big one. With them gone, the Commonwealth is a lot safer.
A: Kicking the NCR’s sorry ass out of the Mojave, honestly. The look on that general’s face when I faced him down with half a dozen upgraded Securitrons after having kicked the Legion right off the Dam? Priceless.
30) What do you want for the future? For yourself? Your friends? The world?
K: I want to make Nuka-Town into an even larger trading hub, start establishing lines of trade and communication with the rest of the continent. I want to push us further towards rebuilding, because we’ve survived for two hundred years - now, it’s time to live. Maybe one day I’ll hand over the reins, but for now, that’s what I want to do.
A: I... honestly haven’t thought a lot about it? For years, I was focused on surviving, then finding out what happened to Vera... And then I got swept up in Rob’s plans for New Vegas. I never looked any further than this, you know? So. I honestly don’t know what’s next. Maybe it’s heading into the Divide, finally seeing if I can’t meet up with this other Courier, the one I’ve been tracking and who’s been tracking me for months, maybe even years now.

warframe oc quiz ft. chital family (blease if ur interested read thank u)
What is their name?
They all share Amadeus’ last name, Chital, which is “a deer having lyre-shaped antlers and a white-spotted fawn coat.”
Amadeus’ name means “love of God”
Donn’s name means “noble”
Ranit’s name means “song”
What model/s of Warframe do they use, mainly?
Amadeus uses a bastardized version of the Oberon Warframe — one he made himself and left him horribly scarred.
Donn uses Loki Prime, but initially used Nekros as he thought it would suit his style better. It did not.
Ranit has always primarily used Banshee Prime, and has customized it to her liking.
What weapon/weapon type is their favorite?
Amadeus has always preferred melee weapons; but polearms are his specialty. He uses Orthos Prime, Cassowar, and Tonbo — all while utilizing the Twirling Spire stance.
Donn likes assault rifles even though he was originally trained with bows such as Paris. His favorite is the Baza.
Ranit, also originally trained with bows like her brother, loves sniper rifles — specifically, her Vectis Prime.
What is your Tenno’s style of fighting? Do they rush in headlong, or prefer to sneak around?
Amadeus focuses on helping his squad unless he is on his own, then it’s nothing but rushing in with raw power. As mention before, he uses the Twirling Spire stance, which ultimately defines his style.
Donn utilizes his frame to sneak behind the enemy before using Radial Disarm to scare the hell out of his enemies. The assault rifles come in handy for this.
Ranit is strictly stealth and defense. She is completely silent, and so are her weapons.
Which Syndicate, if any, does your Tenno belong to?
Amadeus belongs to none of the Faction Syndicates, and is a completely neutral entity among them. He does, however, belong to the Ostrons.
Donn works strictly with the Perrin Sequence.
Ranit works with Cephalon Suda, but is intrigued by New Loka (doesn’t interact with them because of her standing with Suda, however).
Which of the five Schools, if any, do they belong to?
Amadeus doesn’t belong to any of the five schools.
Donn belongs to Zenurik.
Ranit, on the other hand, belonged to Madurai.
Does your Tenno agree with the Lotus? Do they view her as a mother, a tyrant, or somewhere in between?
Amadeus does agree with the Lotus, and trusts her. She was the one to find his children after-all.
Donn will follow her blindly; trusting her wholeheartedly. She is a mother figure to him — the mother figure he’s been wanting for a long time.
Ranit does not trust the Lotus at all. She’s suspicious of the Lotus’ true motive, and does not engage with her at all; going as far to ignore and block transmissions.
How does your Tenno feel about the noncombatant civilians of the system? Are they invested in their protection, or are they vague and unimportant?
Amadeus is adores the noncombatant civilians of the system, and is fully invested in their protection. To him, they are an extension of their family — and to them, his is an extension of theirs.
Donn seems to be uninterested in the noncombatant civilians, but does value their safety when conflict arrives. Will help if requested, and even visits time to time for good company.
Ranit is intrigued by their survival and society but rarely engages in it unless there is something to be gained. Usually, she visits for trade or she is invited to dinner if nearby (and loves it).
Where do they stand in the Corpus vs. Grineer war, if anywhere?
Amadeus is completely neutral unless his children are in danger (which, they usually aren’t).
Donn would side with the Grineer if the occasion arose. He is a sucker for their defectors.
Ranit is also neutral, and would tear through both the Corpus and Grineer in a heartbeat. To her, they are equally bad.
What are the top five things your Tenno believes are most important and worth fighting for? These can be abstract concepts or material possessions.
Amadeus believes in the well-being of others, the well-being of the system, a good future, and his children — especially his children.
Donn believes in fighting for balance in the system, a peaceful life, love, and family.
Ranit believes in fighting for the future of Earth, justice, flora, her brother, and a long rest after the battle.
How much of their life before being put in stasis can your Tenno remember? Do they miss anything about it?
Amadeus remembers it all until the pint of stasis, which he put himself into while grieving the “loss” of the children. He misses life before his ex-lover forced him out of his children’s lives — and heavily regrets not being there for them when he was needed most.
Donn does not entirely remember the War; but does remember being put into statis by Ophelia, a nanny to the Chital family. He misses home with all of his heart.
Ranit remembers everything up until the war, where she was knocked unconscious and put into stasis by Ophelia who saved her from a life threatening blow to the chest. She misses the life she once had — the one where she would sneak out to visit her girlfriend under gilding trees. The one where she was in love.
Who was your Tenno during their lifetime as a human, regardless of whether or not they remember?
Amadeus was an Archimedean, loving father to Donn and Ranit, and lover to Valeria until Ranit was born. He remembers it all.
Donn was a young man trained to be like his mother, who was also an Archimedean. Under her strict supervision, he grew into her vision of the perfect son. He remembers everything; down to the exact words from his mothers sermons.
Ranit was supposed to follow in Donn’s footsteps, but failed to do so. She, in her mother’s eyes, was a waste of flesh and time; yet Ranit still studied, desperate to impress. Eventually she grew furious and tired of such treatment, and rebelled in subtle ways. She was a sophisticated lover to another Orokin woman, and remembers every tender moment between them.
How does your Tenno see their Warframe? As just a tool? As part of their identity?
Amadeus sees his Warframe as a tool, and a little disrespectful to true Tenno.
Donn sees his Warframe as both a tool and an extension of himself, but it is not his identity. His identity lies with him being a Tenno, and kind of an asshole.
Ranit’s Warframe is deeply integrated into her identity, seeing as to how she physically wears it. She even customized it so it suits her personality better.
Is there any symbolism behind their chosen color scheme and energy color? Do they wear the colors of their Syndicate?
Amadeus wears cool brown and blue tones, the markings mimicking that of deer. He is infatuated with the natural world — and blue is his favorite color.
Donn wears white, purple, and gold; symbolizing the royalty he once was. It’s also close to the color of lilacs, which symbolize purity.
Ranit’s color scheme is black, gold, with light pink and blue accents. There is no symbolism behind it rather than she likes the colors, and the gold is an ode to the Orokin.
What does your Tenno do during downtime between missions?
Amadeus spends his time fixing Warframes, weapons, and lisets for extra credits or plat. He likes to socialize among colonies as well.
Donn bounces from relay to relay, finding the busy atmosphere to be relaxing. He will pick up a data pad occasionally to brush up on his reading.
Ranit spends her time working between missions; making sure that everything is in perfect order and that EDEN functions as smoothly as possible. If she allows herself to relax, she will unwind in her personal quarters with some tea and some old literature.
Does your Tenno try to modify their Warframe cosmetically, and make it unique?
Amadeus Warframe is completely customized, as he built it himself.
Donn wears the immortal skin on his Loki Prime - but that’s as far as he’ll go to alter it, finding it a little disrespectful to do otherwise.
Ranit’s frame is altered to fit her body with comfort; but it’s still a Banshee Prime frame with minor customization such as a custom helmet (made by Amadeus), and armor.
How does your Tenno interact with the rest of the inhabitants of the system? Do they treat their allies warmly, or with disdain?
They all treat the inhabitants with some level of respect, but in different ways;
Amadeus is so sweet and warm to others; he treats his allies like close friends.
Donn is a little rougher with others, but still treats them as friends (in an asshole kind of way though).
Ranit is stark and professional with the inhabitants of the system. It’s all business.
How do they view themself and their fellow Tenno? Are they monsters barely kept in check by the Lotus’s guidance? Are they the saviors of the system?
Amadeus sees the Tenno as sacrificed children — those who have lost their innocence far too soon. They are, to him, saviors who deserve peace.
Donn sees himself and other Tenno as saviors of the system, with Lotus guiding them in the right path.
Ranit doesn’t consider herself Tenno anymore, as she doesn’t follow them or the Lotus directly. She still upholds the code to an extent — but doesn’t consider herself or other Tenno as saviors of the system. She believes in justice, no matter the cost.
Does the bloodshed they cause bother your Tenno? Would they put down their weapons, if they could?
For Amadeus, he wouldn’t put down his weapons until there was peace in the system. There are moments where he does regret the bloodshed.
Donn ignores it to the best of his ability, but it gets to him sometimes. He will not put down his weapons until his job is done (plus, it’s too damn fun sometimes).
Ranit isn’t bothered by it at all unless its the blood of innocents. If that’s the price to pay, so be it.
Assuming there was no war, what would they want to be doing with their life?
Amadeus would want to see his children grow into powerful and loving people. On one hand however, he would like to live among a colony of sorts.
Donn would’ve been an Archimedean, just like his mother.
Ranit would escape with her lover — far from the Orokin — where they could live in peace with a vast garden.
