First it was meant to be delivered on the 25th May ( at my workplace WHICH WAS OPEN AND OPERATING at the time) but apparently they couldn't find the building (bullshit, we are the only ones on this road that's straight of the high street fuck off you couldn't find it) but whatever. i knew it prob wouldn't get delivered on monday (27th) as it was bank holiday. i check the tracking and it said that 'We need some more information about your address. Please chat with us' but all customer service was down as it was bank holiday. So i waited till tuesday (28th) for when their customer service to open and i contacted them about this address thing but they couldn't find anything i needed to add or change other than the option to add a 'Leave with a neighbour' option but seeing we are the only one on the street we don't have neighbours so we got that squared off. Then the customer service agent said now that done, it should be getting delivered, with no issue. But before i could ask would that be today or? the chat got cut off.

So, (like the annoying bitch i am) i when back onto the live chat and got in contact with another agent, just to ask what the possible delivery date or time would be as we operate on business hours (7am-5pm) and yodel stays delivering till like 9pm so i just wanted to know if i would have to wait around for it. and she stated that she'll check my tracking and it was currently waiting to go out with the driver for delivery and i was like oo perfect that's great i might get it today at some point, so i ended the chat and waited (this chat was at like 9am on the 28th May). after all day of checking nothing got updates on the tracking or anything. Told myself i'll wait till today 29th. So this morning i got on a chat with another agent and asked hey is this actually going out for delivery today cause yall said that it would yesterday and this is what i got in response:

'According to our tracking, your parcel has not been scanned in our network since 25 May 24 13:57:. I do apologise for the delay in your parcel's delivery. So that we can get it moving again I will need to request that your local depot conducts a search for your parcel. To make sure that we can do this as quickly as possible could you please tell me the contents of your parcel so that I can share this with our team? Kindly confirm that the email address is the correct one to receive the notification.'

Like hey what do u ment you've not seen it or had it in your system since the 25th. i asked the customer service agent like does this mean its lost or what like??? AND HE JUST ENDED THE CHAT ON ME!! like huh!?. so at this point im starting to get really annoyed cause what why am i being told different things.

So i hop on the live chat AGAIN. this agent was actually super nice and helped me (sort of) . i told them i was sent that message and the chat was cut off, that i was confused on what's actually happening. he was like it might not be lost it might be misplaced. like girl THATS JUST ANOTHER WORD FOR LOST THE FUCK? so i was like whatever like what's going to happen now and they were like we will contact your local depot and have them do a search and you will get an update hopefully within the next 24 hours.

i predicted this would happen i made a post on like the 23/24th May that i hated yodel and literally have never got it right losing shit or delivering it to the wrong place or sayings it delivered when it wasn't. like im so close to emailing the TOP online store to be like why use yodel it's the worst rated one in the country. like why not use royal mail or evri like i would actually celebrate if they did evri and they are also the fucking worst.

i work in customer service like its my active job to help customers with shit like this yall are actually badddd, anyway if i don't get an update or its not delivered by the end of the week(Sun 2nd) imma contact the TOP shop and see if they can push them on the business/corporate side as they obvs don't care about the customers.

Swedish Holidays for all your Young Royals needs

Due to popular demand (by like five people) here’s a brief description of all the major Swedish holidays and how they’re celebrated because I can’t stand here and pretend as if we really celebrate Christmas the 25th. We have more holidays, I've only written about the ones we celebrate in my family. I come from a working class family and live in Southern Sweden, however I do have family in Stockholm. I'm not religious in any way and as far as I know, most families don't celebrate these holidays because they're religious, but because it's tradition.

January

1: Dubbed as one of the collective pizza days in my household. It's the day after New Year, and most people either order in or eat leftovers.

Week 2 or 3: Most people return to their jobs, schools and other daily activities.

February/March

Fettisdagen ("Fat Tuesday"): celebrated 47 days before Easter. The actual date varies, all from early February to early March. It's an old Christian tradition where you'd eat fatty foods before the "before Easter"-fast and is supposedly a thing in other Christian countries as well. These days, most people celebrate by eating semlor with their family, and most don't fast before Easter.

The semla is a sweet bun with whipped cream and almond paste.

Våffeldagen (Waffle Day, 25th of March): I think this day stems from a Christian tradition, but these days the day is mostly to get together with family and eat waffles.

April

Påsk (Easter): Again, the date varies, but Easter is usually in April. Easter stems from Christianity and is celebrated to remember Jesus' death and resurrection. Easter spans over a week, but I personally only celebrate one of those days.

Påskafton (direct translation: Easter Eve, English translation: Holy Saturday) is the Saturday of the Easter week. In my family, the children get to look for Easter eggs (often filled with candy).

Some children also dress up as Påskkärringar (Easter crones) and I think this tradition has to do with the Witch Trials in Sweden, but I'm not sure. Chances are you won't need to know anything about this for your Young Royal fics, because mostly girls dress up.

Sometimes, we decorate eggs.

Later, we sit down to eat together and spend time with our families. Common things to eat for Easter is potatoes, eggs, herring and meatballs.

Valborgsmässoafton (Walpurgis Night, 30th): We burn a big bonfire in the evening to celebrate that spring is here. I live in a fairly small town, so mostly everyone gathers at one spot and burns the fire together. When the bonfire is burned, most people go home and that's it. It's also seen as a reason to have a party (mostly for teenagers and young adults, I think) and get drunk as fuck.

May/June

Sveriges Nationaldagen (Sweden's National Day, 6th of June): Most people are home from school and work. We hoist the Swedish flag. Idk. However, the Royal Family celebrates by getting dressed up in Swedish costumes. This year, the King held a speech and the family went to Skansen (which is an amusement park/zoo. You can read more about it here). There's music and the military does their weird little thing. You can watch the National Day Celebration on Skansen from 2014 here.

Midsommarafton (Midsummer): date varies, but is celebrated a Friday in late June. I'm sure there's a Christian explanation for this one, but I don't personally know it.

Midsommar (midsummer) means middle of the summer.

Again, this is a day to eat and spend time with your family (or drink, depending on who you are). We eat pretty much the same things for Midsummer as we do for Easter.

For Midsummer we also dance around a Midsommarstång (direct translation: Midsummer Pole, English translation: Maypole) and make flower crowns.

How Midsummer is celebrated depends a lot on your age (most teenagers and young adults again see this as a reason to party), where you're from and a million other things.

My personal favorite Midsummer tradition is probably more common in the country than in the city, for example. You're supposed to pick seven different flowers without saying a word. Then, you sleep with the flowers under your pillow. Supposedly, you'll dream of your future husband (or wife! But I think it's more common that women and girls do this). This tradition also varies. Some people say you need nine flowers and some people say you have to climb over fencing for it to count.

Some teenagers or young adults spend time with their friends to party, instead!

The Royal Family usually celebrate Midsummer privately, but I think there's usually new pictures of the entire family around this time.

Day after Midsummer: Collective Pizza Day 2. Everyone either eats takeout or leftovers because no one can be bothered to make anything and like half of the population has the worst hangover they've had since New Year.

Summer Holiday Note: most people in Sweden have four weeks of paid leave each summer.

July/August

Kräftpremiär (Crayfish party) - date varies, normally early August. Basically people get together to eat crayfish and drink. You can usually get paper plates and plastic cups and whatever with ugly crayfish motives (which is fun), but I've never done this.

October

Halloween (30th): Halloween is nowhere near as big in Sweden as it is in the States. We just buy some lösgodis ("loose candy", where you can throw whatever kind of candy you want in a bag. See pictures). Trick or treat is so unusual in the town I grew up I've only ever had one kid ask for candy and when I celebrated Halloween with my grandparents (in a city not far from Stockholm), it was the same. I usually buy some candy and watch a horror movie, but that's about it.

However, Halloween is (again) a reason for teenagers and young adults to drink and party.

November

Alla Helgons Dag (All Saints' Day): Date varies, usually early November. It's a day to remember the dead and we usually light a candle at the grave yard.

December

Första Advent (First Advent): Date varies. Sunday four weeks from Christmas Eve. We mostly just light a candle, honestly. Then, each Sunday for the next four weeks, we light a candle. Here's actually the Crown Princess wishing Happy First Advent with her family! Unfortunately without English subtitles, but here's the translation: "Today is the First Advent. Advent means arrival and hope, something that feels extra important this year. (her husband lights the candle) We want to wish everyone a happy first advent!"

Andra Advent (Second Advent): date varies. We light the second candle.

Tredje Advent (Third Advent): date varies. We light the third candle.

Fjärde Advent (Fourth Advent): date varies. We light the fourth candle. In my family we usually decorate the tree this Sunday.

Julafton (Christmas Eve): Celebrated the 24th. YES, THE 24TH. Christmas Eve obviously varies from family to family, but there's a few things most people have in common. Usually, we get one gift in our sock (which hangs on our bedroom doors in my home, because we don't have a mantle) when we wake up. As kids me and my brother almost always got a movie or something to keep us busy until it was time to leave for our grandparents house.

For lunch we eat the Christmas dinner. It's the same damned food as our other holidays. Herring, meatballs, potatoes, sausages etc, but now, we also have julskinka (Christmas ham). Some people eat ham even for Easter, but we only really eat it for Christmas in my family. Obviously the food varies a little from season to season, but as a picky eater I always just eat potatoes, meatballs and ham.

At 3, Kalle Anka (Donald Duck) is on. Yeah, we watch the same damned stuff every year. It's tradition, alright? Anyway, Donald Duck lasts for an hour or so, and first you get to see Santa work in his workshop, then Disney characters wish you a Merry Christmas with scenes from their movies (original, I know). There's Lady and the Tramp, Donald Duck (obviously) and a million other things. Then there's also one or two trailers for movies Disney will release the coming year. I really couldn't be bothered to find everything on YouTube for you to watch, sorry!

After Donald Duck, we open the Christmas gifts in my family. Normally we just rip out gifts open lmao.

After opening the gifts, we usually eat a second time. This time it's time for porridge. Tomtegröt (Santa porridge) is sweet and often served with cinnamon. Usually, everyone is so stuffed at this point that you only eat because you "have" to eat porridge for Christmas (again, at least in my family).

The last thing we do in my family, is to get a puzzle out. My grandpa almost always gets a new puzzle for Christmas, so we'll put that on the dining table and work on it together until it's getting too late for us to stay.

The Royal Family usually release new pictures of the family for Christmas and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Day after Christmas: Not a collective pizza day! There's usually too much Christmas food left to be able to order pizza. Usually, we have Christmas food to eat for four-ish days after Christmas, and by then you're getting really tired of it.

Sometimes we watch something on television, but for the most part we just sit around and spend time together. I think the Crown Princess read something from the Bible this year? I'm not actually sure if the Royal Family go to the Christmas Service, but I don't think so.

Nyårsafton (New Year's Eve): last day of the year. We shoot fireworks, eat food and dessert and spend time with family. This day we normally eat something "fancy" or something you we don't usually eat.

At twelve, we go out to light some fireworks (or just watch fireworks). When that dies down, it's time for the cheese platter. My dad wants it, no one else ever eats from it, we still do it every single year because "it's not New Year's without it". When we've had the cheese platter, everyone go to sleep and that's that.

People obviously celebrate this differently, as well. It's not uncommon to go see your friends or have guests over, and some people party rather than have fancy dinner with their parents. I personally prefer spending time with my parents, because that's what New Year's is for me.

Some people give resolutions, but I think it's more common in the States.

Christmas Holiday Note: It's common for people to not work between Christmas and New Year's Eve where I'm from.

Some things you might want to know about the Swedish Royal Family and Sweden overall:

The Royal Family in Young Royals is not the real Royal Family (obviously).

The Royal Family usually spends time on Öland during the summers.

Chances are Wilhelm and his family live at Drottningholm Slott (Drottningholm Palace) and not Stockholm Slott (Stockholm Palace). Drottningholm is used as a home for the current King and Queen and is located west of Stockholm. However, the scenes where Wilhelm is home is shot at a palace called Stora Sundby Slott. I doubt Wilhelm and his family would live here if they were the actual Royal Family since it's used as a place for people to gather when they want to hunt for sport. However, if they truly live at Stora Sundby, it takes almost two hours to drive from Stockholm to the castle.

Bjärstad is AT LEAST two hours away from Stockholm.

Bjärstad to Stora Sundby Castle takes approximately an hour and a half by car, and between nine and twelve hours by bus. Which means these two boys can't just take a twenty minute bus to see each other.

Bjärstad to Drottningholm takes a little over two hours by car and four-ish hours by bus.

Bjärstad to Stockholm Slott takes over two hours by car and three and a half hours by bus.

Hillerska is shot at Kaggeholms Slott (Kaggeholm Palace), and is a hotel.

The age of consent in Sweden is 15, HOWEVER it's illegal to have sex with someone four or more years younger than you if you're not both over the age of 18. Let me illustrate: -Person A is 15 and Person B is 15. It's legal because both are 15. -Person A is 15 and Person B is 20. It's illegal, because there's a five year old gap between them. -Person A is 15 and Person B is 18. It's legal (but probably frowned upon), because they're both 15 or older and there's not a four year gap between them. -Person A is 18 and Person B is 30. It's legal, because both are 18 or older. Idk if this makes sense or if this is what it looks like anymore, but this is what it was like when I still went to school. Obviously people aren't going to run around and call you names if you happen to date someone four years younger than you (I know a girl who met a guy when she was 14 and he was over 20), but please, be mindful of this. Our age of consent doesn't give you a right to be weird and nasty to teenagers (yes, I'm talking about Edvin).

Hi! I've been looking into Ok Joohyun since I followed you and I'm curious if you could recommend some of her shows? I listened to a performance of the Rebecca song and I was really blown away. Also, do you think audios of her do justice or should I watch videos instead?

A friend of mine was able to go see this year’s Monte Cristo run and her “All This Time” performance was just so so incredible, like a complete full body experience.

(2011 also doesn’t exist to me btw) But 2012 was where she was really starting to turn her career around. Like keep in mind that a lot of people still regard her as an idol and an ingenue type cast, so when she did Elisabeth people were starting to pay attention. Elisabeth as a role means a lot to her and she has kind of become Korea’s Elisabeth having represented Korea for the 25th anniversary against Elisabeth’s of the world. The part she does best is angst LMAO and this performance of “Rudolf, Where Are You?” is just heartbreaking ㅠㅠ

2013 was the real game changer in terms of her career. Rebecca literally shot past the moon, did yall know she was meant to be cast as Ich??? As Ich???? But the CEO of Emk personally was like I want to see her as Mrs Danvers, and honestly I owe my life to that CEO. Having personally gone and seen her live earlier this year HOLY SHIT actually HOLY SHIT because no audio or video really can ever capture the absolute incredible feeling to be in that theater hearing her sing and act. Added bonus is that she thinks Danny is a lesbian so Ock!Danny stans really won LMAO She also did Wicked in the same year and honestly we just kept winning. Her “No Good Deed” is the best hands down don’t @ me @ god

She kept doing Wicked until 2014 then did Marie Antoinette, and as far as she nails all of the angst parts in act 2, I think I’d rather have seen her as the rival protagonist, Margrid. Joo Hyun is deff more of a belter than a soprano but she can do both.

2016 was the most busiest time of year for her. She had her Vokal Concert, which are all crazy, she doesn’t the craziest shit during them and it’s like,,,,, why am I still here and then I see the dumb shit she does and I’m oh, oh yeah LMAO And she also had Sweeney Todd and Mata Hari, both are some of my top favourites from her. Hands down her Mrs Lovett?? Unbeatable, I’m sorry but her interpretation is so energised and layered?? I didn’t expect that she would add this kind of melancholic undertone to her character but she did and it really worked. My personal fav song she does is “By The Sea” which sounds weird because it’s not a hit Lovett song but when you see it you’ll know. Mata Hari was her first original Korean musical role and legit Wildhorn, the composer, was like I really like this woman so much I’m going to write this whole score specifically so she can sing it and I SCREAM like same honestly skljfkjgfdhg I couldn’t find a good audio quality of her singing it live but this is from her 2016 live album

2017 brought me Bridges of Madison County and I have been begging and begging for her to come back to it. Madison County also just held a really special place in my heart well before she even came into the picture, the score is just amazing. And this role I think is where her soprano skills really shine, like she deff does it for other roles, but she is full soprano the entire show and it’s just soooo so good yall. Here’s her performing “Before and After you/A Second and A Million Miles.”

2018 was her 20th anniversary debut in the entertainment industry and she held another Vokal concert. As I said before she does some really crazy shit and was not surprised when she hit the fan in the best way LIKE kjsdfkgljdflkj she was doing the most in her concert and it was great LMAO I’ve seen a lot of other musical actor’s concerts and most of them are very lowkey, sitting on a stool and singing or moving around a bit but she’s out here doing full choreography and belting her face of it’s real fun! As for her roles, she premiered Anna Karenina in Korea and let me just say even though Anna Karenina as a musical kinda really sucks ass it really rests so heavily on the actors to make to run well and Joo Hyun has never let me down. I tend to usually favour the second act and OH MY GOD she does it perfectly, like I swear angst and crying is Joo Hyun’s super power. Her “Lullaby” and “Anya Oblonskya” and the part from “I’m Losing You” to the very end of the show is absolute goosebumps. Like the way she goes through Anna’s mental breakdown and her specific take on it (I legit just wrote probs a 5k word essay comparing her and So Hyun’s takes on Anna’s characterisation) and there’s just something about her madness that you can see in all of her characters. It’s this strange sympathetic pride and really truly something amazing to watch.

In 2019 she did the Camping Club variety show with her idol group where they all reconnected over a trip and did a concert at the end. Even though she was kind of really in the background of the show a lot of people really took her quiet, steady love of her group to heart. And I think it reveals, if you’ve been following her as long as I have ^^;; it that she really really cares very deeply. She’s really thoughtful and aware of people around her and how best to meet their needs. You can see it a lot with how she treats her fellow cast members, she’s gifted basically all the casts she’s worked with in some form or another. For earlier this yearn Rebecca she gifted them all coats, and hand sewed all the Dannys and Ich’s personal monograms into their coats. She’s also highkey a mentor LMAO in an interview she was like “I will teach you all that I know without mercy” LMAO and it’s so funny how often people catch her teaching. I think after she’s done with musicals (which tbh I don’t really see) she might go into teaching the nest generation of musical actors!

And just before I forget 2020 also brought us a new role! Marie Curie! Though technically it’s classified as Popular Theatre now, it started off as a Small theatre show (think bway and off bway size) and it caused a bit of minor chaos because of her casting LMAO. It came so left field a lot of people were stunned slkfjglkjg we thought we all knew what kind of roles she’s be taking but it was a really pleasant surprise! Here’s her almost breaking her mic stand during the musical press presentation. And this is her singing the song “An Other Name” again but this time an official MV. There was a free livestream a bit earlier this year and I managed to record it, it’s only her in the first act though because they changed. And yooo I really forgot how much I needed her being happy LMAO Angst may be her forte because that’s all the characters she’s been given, but with this native Korean original musical she’s really been allowed to explore the entire breadth of the emotional spectrum LMAO like legit Marie Curie was so well written she actually got to emote properly and have a well written arc. And a happy ending LMAO Like god this is the first show where she doesn’t die horribly.

Now that I’ve gone through most of her history. I thoroughly recommend checking out Elisabeth, Sweeney Todd, Mata Hari and Marie Curie. (Since you’ve already checked out Rebecca) those shows are the shows that she really out does herself. All of the roles she’s done has always been knockout to me but these in particular are the rubies of her crown. They show the most passion she has in theatre and as an actor. They also show off just how crazy her voice is. (I would add Wicked but there’s only her concert videos that you can hear her sing the score rather than properly check em out, but ocme off anon and I can change that LMAO) Rebecca I’d say is her crowning jewel. And that really boils down to the way that it changed her career, the types of roles that would be offered to her from then on, audience perception, and her interpretation of that character. I don’t think she’s every thought of a character as deeply as she has done for Danny. And though Elisabeth is equally tied to her name she even admitted that she didn’t do as much for Elisabeth as she had done for Rebecca.

But anyways! That’s just the best shows to introduce yourself, I’d recommend checking out everything her theatre history has to offer!

my first taylor swift show(s) ever

yall i didnt know if i should post about this or anything because im kind of superstitious and i feel like any time i make plans they fall through...but im just too excited not to get on here and brag. before i even start, i realize there are people out there that get many more opportunities to see taylor play and have done so over taylors entire career. i was kind of a late bloomer to taylor swift but i am totally in it right now and im poor anyway so if it werent for the gracious people i have been blessed with then i wouldnt be able to see her at all. im very thankful for the opportunities presented to me and i hope plans come through.

anyway, i was originally not going to be able to go to any of taylor swifts reputation tour dates. i was a part of taylortix and tried my best to get all of the boosts i could while available but in the end i simply didnt make it in time, largely in part to money. i wanted to be greedy and buy tickets for all events coming to without a few hours of where i live, and im actually still kind of that way, but it didnt work out at first. i live in birmingham, alabama and the closest events coming my way were going to be atlanta on august 10th and 11th, nashville on august 25th, and then finally september 22nd in new orleans. just under a year ago i was totally jazzed for the new record and the release of all the tour dates and stuff and desperate to have the chance to finally see tay.

then it came to pass that i would lose my job in january, and i had probably missed out on getting good seats for whatever shows i would want to visit closest to me anyway. im a real brat and have always wanted an up close and personal view for something as major as this, being that as ive really only attended small-to-medium sized shows. ive always gotten what ive wanted in some way when it comes to entertainment. the best show ive ever seen live was sigur ros at the BJCC and there was barely anyone there (honestly i felt bad for sigur ros) but afterwards they ended up coming to a hometown bar and even DJing music and having drinks with fans and stuff. that was so the shit and i always wondered what could top it. this, of course, was before i was a fan of taylor swift and had even thought of attending any of her massive, sometimes sold-out stadium shows. that sort of thing never appealed to me, but people obviously change.

so some time passes and one of my close friends, who lives in new orleans, purchased two tickets to her superdome show on september 22nd. he soon learned that his girlfriend didnt want to go...and since he is so gracious and such a good friend he offers me the ticket for free. FOR FREE. i freaked out upon his offer. of course i would go, was he crazy? ever since that day, i have been above this earth, eagerly waiting for that day, crazily scouring reddit and tumblr and any other social media source where someone else might be giving out a free or cheap ticket JUST to see if anyone else so gracious was out there. it turns out there are. i found a few opportunities but they were a little too far away from me to be realistic, and i even wrote a long and heartfelt email to one girl for my chance at her free ticket. unfortunately, nothing sincere came through, and although i was elated to be able to go see tay in september, i just wanted more. and then another opportunity arose. a reddit user was offering a free ticket for the atlanta show on august 11th. again i freaked out and quickly wrote them a message. to my surprise, no one else had been serious about wanting to go and i explained to them that i live very close and any other detail they might need. then they hit me with the seats, which is quite frankly extremely important, and once i saw where we were going to be sitting i lost my mind.

i will be sitting in section J on row 7 right there SO CLOSE to the stage! like seriously who gives away a free ticket for such good seats!? not to mention from one total stranger to another!?!

then i realized: these are taylor swift fans im dealing with. these are some of the best people i could ask for. these are people that are just as insane about tay as i am. these are genuine fanatics just like me. some people even take it to much greater lengths than i do but i know im a super fan. so unless plans fall through, i will be seeing you, miss tay, on august 11th in atlanta AND on september 22nd in new orleans! i have no clue what im going to be wearing or what im going to do other than freak out for the next two weeks but ~!~!~!~!~!~ words just cant describe. who knows? i might even get rep room or get to meet taylor in a pre-show meet & greet or something. it could happen.

HI YALL idk if I have??? any followers who still really care abt anything I post BUT I haven’t made a personal post in a LOOONG time so I figured I’d LET YALL KNOW WHATS BEEN GOIN ON!!! :-D this is long tho bc I like to ramble and in all honesty I doubt anyone will Really Care so feel free to skip it LOOOOL I just,,,, I have a problem w oversharing so sometimes it just feels nice to Write Everything Out about my life just to Sate that desire to overshare fksglsggjbli

ANYWAY SO....my senior year is quickly comin to a close!! which is weird to think about because I made my tumblr when I was still in middle school, god???? BUT YEAH IT’S....ALMOST OVER....It’s so weird!! BUT I’M ACTUALLY V EXCITED FOR THE LAST MONTH AND A HALF... 

This wednesday I have my AP gov field trip to DC!! we literally just get to spend a whole day wandering around DC on our own going to whatever museums/monuments we want, which will be fun!! 

Then the week after I have 3 AP exams (AP Lit+Composition on Wednesday, AP US Gov+Politics on Thursday, and I have to submit all my AP Studio Art stuff this week too) and then that Friday is senior prom from 6-10pm and then prom afterball from 11:30pm-4:30am (I’M SO EXCITED FOR AFTERBALL OKAY)

The following Monday (May 8th) I have my last AP exam, AP Bio!!! Which will suck!!! but oh well cause I’LL BE DONE!!! I only took 4 academic classes this year (english, bio, gov, calc) and since I’m taking the AP exams for 3 of them, I won’t have to take those finals AND we’ll be done with our main learning and it’ll be much more relaxed afterwards! So calc will be the only class/final I have to worry about. I’m SO READY to be done honestly

Then on May 17th I have my last field trip of the year!! It’s another one to NYC for AP english, we’re seeing a Broadway musical, The Great Comet of 1812!! I’M EXCITED this will be the 3rd Broadway musical I’ve seen (all 3 have been on school field trips HAHAHA I saw An American in Paris last year on an art trip and I saw Dear Evan Hansen earlier this year in March on this year’s art trip and it was SOOOOO GOOD and it’s super surreal to me seeing DEH starting to become so popular online when I’ve actually seen it LOOOOL)

Then a week later, May 23rd, is my school’s art show!!!!!!!!! :D I’M SOOOOO EXCITED FOR IT all the AP studio art kids get a WHOLE exhibit to themselves to showcase their concentrations and I got really close w almost everyone in my AP studio art class this year (there’s only 12 of us total) and we’re all SUPER excited and we've started staying after school to plan and work on stuff for the art show!! I’m very excited to show off what I’ve been working on all year!!!!

The day after the art show is the senior awards (you only get invited to them if you win an award, and my mom says I’ll proooobably get invited since I was a National Merit finalist bc my older brother got invited for that reason too....aLSO POOOSSIBLY MY GPA? But maybe not, I’ve had it at a 4.0 my whole high school career except 4th quarter last year it dipped to like a 3.95 oops so idk if that’ll Count but oh well I already raised it back up)

Then the day after THAT (Thursday May 25th I think) isn’t anything major but it is the Freddy Awards!! People in my area take high school theater super seriously, enough so that every year, a panel of judges go to every school in the one area’s spring musical and then nominate them in different categories for the Freddys - think Tony awards, but for high schoolers only (it’s even televised live!! You can look it up, it’s super neat, there was a documentary about it too and it focused on 3 of the main schools who take part AND MY SCHOOL WAS ONE OF THE 3 IM CRYIN). But I’m def gonna watch those live bc one of my best friends was the lead in our spring musical (Miss Saigon) and she has a chance to win a Freddy :-D I’m hopin she does (and the rest of the cast ofc!)

Then the end of May/beginning of June will be GRADUATION PREP PROBABLY!!!!! I graduate Sunday June 11th (the Baccalaureate thing is the day beforehand and I think my mom’s makin me go) AND I’M SO. FUCKIN. READY. TO GRADUATE. I’ll get to sit on the stage bc my GPA is above a 3.8 and graduation takes like 3 hours but I am SO SO EXCITED. And then of course the following weeks will probably consist of grad parties and whatnot. (I also think in the first few weeks of June I have a few family events, like a baby shower and a father’s day/birthday celebration for my Grandpa)

SO IT’S LIKE....GONNA BE A BUSY-ISH NEXT FEW WEEKS BUT ONCE AP EXAMS ARE OVER THINGS WILL DIE DOWN (MOSTLY) AND BE ONLY FUN STUFF!!! and then it’s SUMMER!!! and I’ll be DONE W HIGH SCHOOL!!!! it’s so surreal to me GOSH

and then this summer I have my camp counselor job again and I’m gonna have to look for a second job to save up money for college. and for college, I’m going to SCAD to major in animation and I’M STILL SO EXCITED ABT THAT I was unsure where I’d end up for a long time bc money issues (we’re poor) but we recently figured it out a bit (I’ll have to take out federal+private student loans ofc) AND I’M SO EXCITED BC I....RLY LOVED SCAD WHEN I VISITED....AND THEY HAVE S U C H A GOOD ANIMATION PROGRAM.....SO I’M RLY PUMPED even though it’ll be New and Scary bc I’ll be 13 hours from home and On My Own

BUT YEAH!!!!!! THAT’S BASICALLY....WHERE MY LIFE IS AT NOW...I figured it’d be good for me to write it all down, bc that’s just Who I Am or else I’d shove it in someone’s face in my desire to overshare and I don’t wanna annoy anyone. NASHVILLE JUNE 25TH 2008

“What is it like?” The voice asked in a rather curious accent. “What is what like?” The young child’s voice near cracked as the figure stepped out of the shadows into the light. “Being different, seeing things others can’t. Knowing things you should not know?” His face boney half decayed flesh falling from his jawbone, pieces of skin crashing to the floor each time the apparition stumbled toward the girl with the long curly blonde hair. She peered past him, attempting holler for parents. “No, tell me…Aaron; wolf in sheep’s clothing. You will be mine shortly.” Her blue hues met the empty eye sockets of the now skeleton man. “Soon, you will understand.” She blinked and he was gone…

The night terrors hadn’t stopped since the fire, Aaron laid half-awake in some half-sized foster home bed screaming in pure terror. “The man, he’s coming he’s coming!” She shouted over and over again, her foster siblings all crowding around her attempting to shake her awake. Once her eyes fluttered open, she had zero clue what she had been doing. “Wh-what are you all… d-d-doing over here?” The blonde began to sit up a bit. Shifting her weight to her right hip. “You were screaming…” Alex explained. “You said some man was coming…” Aaron shook her head, “Nonsense.” A smile pressed to her lips, “Yall have nothing to worry about just come on get some sleep.” Tiny palms pressed to each of her siblings faces attempting to give them some kinda sign everything was fine. Maybe it helped, she hoped it had.

BEACON HILLS OCTOBER 12TH 2017

Foster homes weren’t easy for the girl; actually they were not easy for any child. Must less children with gifts they could not understand…

“Do you think they’ll notice we’re gone?” Ryan whispered, just as Aaron tossed the white sheets fashioned into a rope outside the second story window. “Who? Dumb and Dumber? Probably not. Why you scared?” She flashed a grin in his direction. It was the night of all nights…the biggest party Beacon Hills had ever had and Aaron wasn’t about to miss it. Ryan went out the window first, mostly because Aaron wasn’t so sure the sheet would hold them both. Once he made a safe landing on the soft ground. The blonde grappled herself to the make-shift rope, bouncing down until she hit the grass with a loud thud. “Ouch, f***…” Ryan laughed quietly reaching his hand out to yank her to her feet. “Why didn’t you catch me?” She scoffed, he smirked. “Look I ain’t no prince in shining armor you gotta catch yourself sista.”

It was a long walk to the Russel’s house but Ryan really wanted to see Danny; and well Aaron really wanted to see Jack…Jack Daniels…that is. Ryan was still in the closet with their foster parents so any chance he could get he’d have Aaron cover for him while he spent the summer with Danny, but once school started back well…he didn’t have much choice, but to act straight. Aaron had devised a plan to make sure their foster parents didn’t end up beating the sh*t outta him. It mostly involved her being the one to take the hits, but none the less she felt like maybe she deserved them… Ryan reached over, lightly rubbing Aaron’s shoulder blade and she winced. “Careful.”

Pretty soon the sounds of loud rap music drowned out her thoughts, they had finally made it. “Thank God, now I can finally drown myself in boys and booze.” Ryan flashed a grin, giving Aaron a quick kiss on the cheek in thanks. Before he disappeared into the crowd, Aaron catch a glimpse of Danny smiling. The blonde quickly waived her way through the waves of teenagers until she found the kitchen. It was fairly empty half-full booze bottles everywhere, but Aaron wasn’t interested in the cheap stuff laying everywhere. Her eyes rested on the cabinet in the dining room.  "Bingo.“ Carefully she snapped open the locked drawer snatching the unopened bottle of whiskey, shoving it into her jacket pocket awkwardly. Aaron danced her way to the back door carefully sitting herself down on the back steps. It was quiet out here, well besides the fuzz music roaring from inside. Blue hues traveled around into the darkness, shapes of shadows danced from tree to tree. Aaron was sure no one else would of seen them just her, which yet again caused her to scoff. She cracked open the sail on the whiskey bottle only to shove it’s mouth to her lips. Tilting the neck back as she guzzled down a hefty amount of liquor, the caramel color burned her throat all the way down…

An hour or so later, Aaron was quite buzzed a couple people had shuffled their way out into the back deck. The mixed smell of weed, bourbon, and B.O. automatically caused the blonde to shove herself up to slip back inside for some beer. Although the scent wasn’t much better in the house, body upon body grinding and dancing. Aaron’s hues shifted toward a couple open cups, carefully she stole one making her way toward the upstairs. The crowd gave her a bit of a panic attack feeling. Soon enough the blonde had come upon a thin hallway of doors, echoes of moans and vomiting roared as she past each door frame. Until she reached the last door on the right, Aaron reached for the door handle quickly yanking it open. Her half-empty solo cup was the only one to keep her company - or so she thought.

The room was bright yellow it must have been one of the Russel kid sisters rooms cause it looked like the power puff girls vomited all over it. Aaron quietly plopped down on the half bed grabbing the big-headed Bubbles doll from the center of the bed. She gave it a once over before chucking it across the room. Her plastic eye hit the wall with a loud thud, Begin again, begin again, begin again. Purity Ring blasted from the blonde's dark/light washed jeans. Aaron nearly fell off the bed, startled by the ringtone. Her fingerprints tumbled the rose gold galaxy cell phone. Recognizing the burnette's photo flashing on the dim screen. Aaron quickly brushed her thumb over the green button. "Hello?

"Aaron? It's Carmen. The coven is sending me on a journey to find more information about my ancestry. I am to pick someone to travel with me.What do you say? A round trip to Maryland. We can make a vacation of it. It will gives us a chance to explore a whole new kind of witchcraft."

"Sure, sure!" She smiled happily, as they hung up. She hadn't seen Carmen in sometime. She was one of the few people who truly understood her gift…her curse. Carmen never made Aaron feel like a freak, she always made her feel as if she was just a normal girl…a normal girl whom could raise the dead but none the less. She considered her one of her closest and most trustworthy friends.

The blonde became so eager to see Carmen as soon as she hung up the phone, Aaron began to make her way back home. Well not exactly home, but the place where all her belongings were. Rylan arrived a few hours later, catching a glimpse of Aaron shoving handfuls of clothes in a teal antique suitcase. "Where you going?" His shoulder pressed against the doorframe smiling. "Road trip, with one of my special friends. Do you think you can cover for me?" He nodded, slipping into his room. Aaron was just about packed when the echo of her ringtone blasted once again. Carmen's bright and shinning face lit up her cellphone's screen once more.

The make-shift sheet rope still dangling out the bedroom window. Aaron tossed out her suitcase, than her purse, before she shuffled down more confidently than before. Chipped black-nail polish clutched the suitcase, after slinging her bag over her shoulder. Aaron darted for the car door as it began to open, quickly shoving herself in first before tossing her belongings in the back carelessly. "Drive!"
