I haven't started extensive research on Google bc I know if I do I'll get stuck for a while but after seeing the protesters get fired and the CEO's little message I'm just so done with everything they're involved with. I have years of writing and files in my drives so I downloaded all of it and deleted it permanently. Figured out how to make firefox automatically open alternate web searches, so I can use Presearch for everything which seems decent so far. Google also allows you to download the personal data they have saved and request to delete so I did and hopefully it's 'actually' deleted. They have 22 GB worth of stuff on me somehow so I'm gonna go through it to see why

#text #google swears up and down their tech isnt used for weapons or anything yet they service the israeli military like. really #even just providing cloud computing you are giving them the resources to more efficiently commit genocide #and in general i dont trust their transparency w data usage i read the whole privacy policy and its not specific enough #tbf all policies are written that way but who knows what the fuck theyre doing. half the stuff we all use involves google #like the one issue is youtube is owned by google. so i cant escape that but i can minimize usage. might get me to do other things #in general im trying to rely less on services where i give them my data. mines not important but im tired of this shit #im tired of every action i take being transformed into algorithmic information so they can sell it and fill every site w specialized ads #like fuck you. fuck everybody. what happened to making technology to make ppls lives easier. why are we inventing ways to exploit ppl
