#meegs rambles#yes this is about bridgerton like#i get defending book to tv show accuracy with my whole heart but like#the whole thing about the show is the 'marry your true love'#but the more i hear about the books the more im convinced they take a different approach??#like eloise marries a guy bc anthony forces them to basically bc eloise was alone at his house#which sure they liked each other but it does not read as true love tbh#also anthony and kate's story?? from what i hear it aint as sweet and consensual as the show puts it#and francesca marrying michael was apparently bc she wanted children? like idk but her story being queer feels much more interesting#sorry i needed to put my thoughts somewhere#why are straight people like this
