Not exactly a Headcanon, but related to your surgery - how do you think the Pine Brothers found out the Tooth Fairy wasn’t real? Did their dad just not leave money for their teeth, or did they set traps to capture the Fairy & wind up catching their mother instead?
My first instinct was to agree with one of these but then I remembered that this is Gravity Falls so honestly? The tooth fairy probably DOES actually exist lmao
I feel that they’d set traps (especially Ford, who is adamant about capturing her) but she always manages to elude them somehow, because they definitely aren’t the first children who have tried to expose her existence, and they certainly won’t be the last. Ford gets frustrated because the traps are always triggered but nobody is ever caught in them, and when both the twins mention it to their parents they’re like “Oh, it’s probably just a sneaky rat or something”
Filbrick would probably eventually tell them to stop believing in such ridiculous fairy tales—Caryn was the first to tell them that the tooth fairy was real, and he argued back and said that they needed to grow up and face facts, but somehow they always found money under their pillows the next morning.
Ford did end up running into her (and her worker fairies) eventually in Gravity Falls, and was absolutely triumphant about it since he was constantly told she wasn’t real as a child lol
