yknow coroikas treatment of female characters is a bit odd if you look close enough cause how did we not have a single team with a female leader or an important female character (besides headphones and bobble but were they really that important to the plot?) or a female character with more personality than always saying "wow goggles and team blue are so stupid" until the splatlands arc

#and Im not counting team school cardigan as a female led team #cuz their whole thing was that they werent actually women and were guys disguising as girls #weird ass plotline btw idk what was going on there #and im talking about canon coroika with none of my headcanons or anything #i just find it a bit weird how a manga based on a game mostly targeted towards girls focuses so much more on male characters #like coroika didnt even have a female protag until the splatlands arc #while i am glad the splatlands arc broke some patterns character-wise and had female characters with more personality #it still took 66 chapters to get there #i might have to completely reread coroika to make sure i didnt miss any important female characters #but if im unsure if i missed any #that just proves my point more that coroika doesnt care for making memorable female characters #just some thoughts #coroika #idk if this is a hot take in the fandom or if others mostly agree with this lol
