Obligatory New Years Fitness Post 2020
Oh hey it’s Wednesday! That seems like a good time to review where I’m at fitness-wise and where I wanna go from here.
So despite the fact that like 90% of the content I reblog on here is music related, I am, as my username hints at, a fitblr. A runblr specifically. A runblr that wanted to quit running a few months ago because I was so depressed and kinda hated it for a while. But I’m moving past that. I’m on meds that are helping me get back to where I should be mentally. 
Because of that, my fitness goals are pretty general for this year. I have four races I’m specifically training for, but I do not have specific time goals for those races. I’m trying to lose weight. I’m trying to balance my training so I’m not neglecting strength training for running because it all has to work together.
For the people out there that are following me for the non-fitblr stuff, I’m gonna be tagging my posts with “gotta be fit to survive a pit” so you can blacklist that if you aren’t interest in seeing those posts, or might find them bothersome for some reason. As I’m trying to get back into tracking my food, I’ll be keeping myself accountable by posting them here. I will use the tag “food journal” again so you can blacklist that if you would like.

Hello! My name is Rech and I’m revamping my studyblr. I was previously known as @richstudy but became very inactive during my first sem of university. I’m back again due to needing motivation to keep up with my studies and fitness as well as wanting to give out helpful advice and share some of my own content. It’s also great to see everyone using my stubyblr introduction template!
About me:
First year university student in life sciences. I’m still deciding my majors but I’m leaning toward biology for health sciences and psychology
I’m 18 and my birthday is May 20
My nationality is Canadian and my ethnicity is Filipino

Why a studyblr and fitblr?
My first studyblr flopped because I lost motivation to maintain it. During my first semester of university, I was really falling behind on work and I was constantly cramming for exams and midterms so I didn’t have any time to go on tumblr. I wasn’t really working out as well which caused me to gain 10 pounds. After my final exam of first sem, I wanted to get back into the studyblr community to talk about my experiences and lessons for any upcoming university students. I didn’t really want to use richstudy so I revamped my whole account and ended up as lifesci. 
@korrafitness really inspired me to also create a fitblr. I really love the concept that she is doing with having Korra as her inspiration. I wanted to do the same so I kept thinking about which anime character I would love to be for a day and that is Sakura Haruno. I was watching a youtube video of Sakura’s training and I remember reading a comment that said, “It’s like going through med school while running a marathon every day and also mastering the art of fighting against insanely strong opponents.” I won’t be fighting anyone or running marathons every day but I thrive to have the same type of work ethic academically and physically.

I like your blog,but sometimes it really bothers me when you promote a body image that we know it's unreachable for some girls.Your body is great and beautiful, but PLEASE stop promoting your body as the only kind of beautiful.Also the "thigh gap" you make people think you have on your pictures.Even though it's not intentional,you end up promoting anorexia.Believe me, it's not cool AT ALL.Some girls are dying little by little because of this kind of body image promotion.Just be wise.Thank you.
Messages like what YOU just wrote are what encourages eating disorders, not my blog. You know why? Simply put what you wrote is “the only way for girls to look like you and have a thigh gap is to have anorexia”, which is not only encouraging girls to starve themselves because it’s the “only way to have that figure”, but it’s also a complete LIE. How is it “impossible” and “unreachable” to have a slim figure like mine the healthy way, when I myself, have my slim figure, the healthy way??? That is a paradox. Absolutely ANYONE, ANY GIRL, can be lean and slim THROUGH HEALTHY MEANS. This is actually the ONLY way for SUSTAINABLE health and slimness, to live a HEALTHY lifestyle. I have been able to sustain my slim figure and weight in the 100’s at 5’3 for over a year as well as a thigh gap through HEALTHY LIVING. Starvation would NEVER BRING THIS! It would bring either A) binging and gaining all the weight back or B) death. What you’re saying is NOT COOL AT ALL, you’re straight out LYING and encouraging girls to starve by falsely telling them that’s the only way to be slim, WHEN ITS NOT, it’s not even an efficient way to get slim because it’s not sustainable. It’s clear that you are jealous and have not yet reached your goal so you think it’s impossible to through healthy means, but I am living, breathing proof that it is, and I will continue to promote and encourage HEALTHY living for all of the girls on my blog, continuing to DISCOURAGE eating disorders and pro Ana mindset, and APPRECIATE and SUPPORT all girls with whatever goals they have, whether it be a more lean figure like mine, or if they want a more muscular thicc figure, or even if they want to have a bit more padding on them but still live a healthy lifestyle and have a reasonable healthy body fat percentage!Everyone starts somewhere, but that does not mean they end there. No matter where you’re starting from, if your goal is to someday be lean and have a lower body fat like I have, it is 100% attainable for each and every girl out there through HEALTHY LIVING (not starving like you’re saying is the only way, aka lying). I never thought I’d have a thigh gap and never expected to have one either, but I do now simply from just healthily leaning out. A thigh gap should not be a goal since some bone structures can’t have it, but truthfully, if you’re lean and don’t have large muscle mass on your thighs, a thigh gap is pretty common. Not everyone has one at all angles and again, it should not be a goal. But it’s also not this “terrible “unrealistic” “proana” thing you’re making it out to be. In reality it’s not that big of a deal. This is not about beauty, this is about HEALTH. HEALTHY LIVING! It’s your own problem you’re equating everything to beauty. This is about HEALTH and I am encouraging HEALTHY IDEALS, if you are looking for beauty, go on my Instagram where I do fashion and makeup, that is beauty related, this blog is FITNESS AND HEALTH RELATED. As I’ve said above and always say on my blog, everyone has different goals!!!! Some people want to be more thicc and curvy and that’s cool too!!!! I can’t change my body type in every single photo to try to accustom to every single healthy body out there unless I photoshop lmao? This is my figure and my figure is that of a lean, slim, HEALTHY body. Muscular is healthy too (unless you’re taking roids, overtraining your joints, etc to get there). It depends on how you train. Having extra padding but still within a healthy body fat percentage which doesn’t make you at risk of health issues, is healthy too. I constantly reblog and support women of all shapes and sizes, including girls just starting out their weight loss journey. If you want a certain size to be shown more often within the fitblr community that you feel currently is it, go out and do it yourself instead of getting mad at others for having a different, yet HEALTHY, body shape than yours. I try my absolute hardest to showcase all on my blog. Look at the progress photos from the girls on my programs in my #planprogress, they are all beautiful girls starting their health journeys from all shapes and sizes, but they are all still leaning out healthily, something which everyone can do and you do NOT need to starve yourself to do that!!!!!!! I have saved HUNDREDS of girls from death from eating disorders by showing them they can be slim the HEALTHY way, and FEEL great and LOVE their bodies. What you’re doing is telling girls “well either you starve to be skinny, or else you’ll be fat because being skinny and having a thigh gap is not attainable through healthy means!” which is a flat out LIE. What have you done besides taking your insecurities out on others and hating?Stop this mindset and educate yourself, hopefully this has helped you do some of that with my response.
Starving yourself will never bring you a slim figure like mine, because I don’t starve to have my slim figure.

hey hun, I'm so sorry your feeling this way, my mom went on Prozac a couple years back and even though it did wonders for her ocd, it was just so weird - like we didn't really know her anymore and everything just felt wrong and off. but speaking from experience, this will pass and even though it fucking sucks now it does get more manageable I promise ! btw if your still doing prompts - what kind of tumblrs do you think the acomaf gang would have ?? xx

Rhys - He’d be in the discourse blog section trying to SchoolTM the NoobsTM on politics, sexism, feminism, racism - basically, any kind of ism. He’d reblog all of Feyre’s graphics/edits.
Mor - The fashion blog and pop culture diva who occasionally reblogs Rhys’s meta on feminism and family trauma.
Cassian - The Fitblr with the full works. Gym selfies galore. Tips on getting swol af. Recipes for healthy eating. Goes around sending motivational “YOU GOT DIS BRO” asks to other fitblrs getting started. Has training services available. Sends Rhys really horrible troll anon messages. Azriel too, but Az never replies because...
Azriel - ....he doesn’t have time for this junk. And Mor is easier to keep up with on IG. But he’s still super proud that she’s amassed however many followers she has for all of her edits of the Met Gala.
Amren - Would only have and use Tumblr for like one very specific fandom, something obscure and that no one else knows her for. Like silent era cinema. Or a European talk show. She refuses to tell Cassian her handle.
Nesta - Hipster Life AestheticTM. Heavy literature discussions. Loves laying in to people for being total douchebags and then watching Rhys reblog her posts.
Elain - The one who posts like, book shelfies and mountain cabins and star landscapes and adorable pictures of kittens and then like once a month has a binge session of like dirty movie screenshots or fanfic.
Lucien - Ain’t nobody got time for that. I got knives to clean and places to go horseback riding. Takes Azriel with him most of the time.

I feel like I gotta share something personal as well, not just reblog pics in silence
So, I am 25 years old, a girl, and Russian; I struggle with mental illness (depression & ocd, with some hints of ADD going on, but that is to be proven or disproven) and some chronical illness too - I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis recently, which affects my lower back & for some reason my toes and one of my index fingers as well.
So I was prescribed yoga & moderate physical activity by both my psychiatrist and my rheumatologist, and now I am trying to do exactly that. Sadly I cannpot run (asthma), so long walks are it for me, and swimming since right now I am on vacation; I also cannot bike because I was told by doctor not to (something about too much pressure on my spine), and also because I never had a bike a cannot bike if my life depended on it (and now I don’t really feel like learning).
I joined a local Bodymind training group, with our awesome trainer giving us a mix of yoga, pilates and stretching aimed at working with our personal health problems, and, well, it’ working. I am not focused on weight loss, since it kinda happens on its own (no thanks to depression here), but more on dealing with my shitty joints and lack of serotonine, so I don’t really follow any diets. I do try to eat more healthy (as in, not skip meals and eat something actually filling instead of living on snacks), but it’s a looong way to go.
Other than fitblr stuff - I am a nerd, reaing & writing fanfiction, I love history (BA, kinda sorta working on my master thesis, when my mental health allows it), I learn languages (Klingon and Mandarin being my main focus for now) and craft... I think that’s all for now, this post is getting too long anyway.
Feel free to hit me up if you want to chat! I am not online often, and this blog mostly runs on queue since it’s a sideblog, not my main, but I am really interested in getting to know more people around here.
