Wriggly Creamy and Sweet

She’s talking about making me into panna cotta. Into little bunny shapes and then spanking them with a spoon. Like that video from Japan.

She’s happy that I’m creamy and simmering. Here’s a recipe that’s an excellent metaphor. She was talking about cream and buttermilk.

- Add cream and sugar to a sauce pan. You can use heavy cream, or whole milk, or half and half, or even buttermilk.

- Heat over medium heat. Stir the cream and sugar occasionally until it just begins to simmer.

- Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. The cream doesn't require much cooking time at all. Right when the cream starts to simmer, remove the pan from the heat. Add your flavorings.

- Add the gelatin. Stir the gelatin into the cream until it melts into the hot cream.

- Strain the cream and fill ramekins, fancy cups and dessert dishes, or other serving containers.

- To serve, garnish with fresh fruit or a tasty sauce or drizzle of honey.
