I've been wondering ever since I saw this magnificent drawing what could have happened. Has Marc never really forgiven vale? Or is it Valentino who again ( although maybe unintentionally this time) hurt marc?

I HAVE TROUBLE W THESE... vale i think not generally a crier and not generally an apologizer, though i cannot deny it is a beautiful and cathartic image... like we as an audience feel that marc has been wronged by vale and so him groveling is #hot #sexy and #needed but i always wonder what VALE'S version of groveling looks like... and if marc is someone who maybe needs him to grovel..

vale crying scenarios 2 me are like. he needs to do it in the shower or behind a locked door like he doesnt do it in front of people EVER. so when he does it in front of marc its like a genuine watershed moment in their relationship after theyve been back together for a little bit... if its a vale FUCKUP it would have to be like. idk maybe cheating? perceived cheating? maybe theyre half broken up after a shitty stupid fight and vale reverts to old slutty coping patterns and fucks a rando who posts about it online? maybe vale is blackout at a club and gets incriminating looking photos taken of a VERY persistent girl he is rejecting/uccio took pics to sabotage him getting back w marc... but i will say my general inclination is that i dont think he would REALLY cheat on marc unless we are in wish fulfillment whump world (which can be fun!!!! the ULTIMATE grovel). like vale is a flirt for sure but that isnt reallyyyy his vibe, so we'll go w the second scenario... BUT in this it is like okay marc pulling back for REAL... going scary blank... deleting vale from his phone fucking off to isolate himself in cervera and bike around trails with alex and try not to think... vale is DESPERATELY trying to get ahold of him to explain but the marquez alenta family wants to physically kill valentino rossi with swords and guns so vale has to show up at a RACE WEEKEND and plead w him in public... marc is riding like he literally wants to die. vale is watching marc give up on him and it hurts worse than last time because they took SO much time to overcome it after sepang and he knowsssss now, he knowsssss marc is the one....

It's a time-honoured tradition- every time Sam comes across Izzy (and Ed) in their travels, he asks Izzy to marry him. And every time, Izzy turns him down.

At this point, Sam is asking more for the sake of it than any belief Izzy will ever say yes, a remnant of childhood dedication touched with 30 years of heartbreak and regret- though even now, a small part of him still holds out hope. Sam's promises have only got more extravagant over the years, from a job as his first mate, to a captaincy, a fleet at his command, a whole fucking island if that's what Izzy wants- but he knows it isn't though, not really. If Izzy was ever going to agree to marry him, to leave his life and go with Sam, it wouldn't be for anything Sam could offer him. Izzy never did care for flashy shows of wealth, for a ship or to be captain. The only thing that ever mattered to him was loyalty given, and loyalty shown in return. 

It all comes to a head after Stede left and came back, after Izzy lost a toe, lost his leg. Sam hasn't seen him since before things with Ed started to really slide off the rails, before stress permanently set into the lines of Izzy’s face. So, when he sees a dishevelled man with a hoof for a leg in a no-name port, he doesn't even consider the idea that he might know him. It's only when he turns towards him, and Sam catches a glance at those oh too familiar tattoos, he realises this is Izzy, his Izzy, that stands before him.

Knowing Izzy's discomfort with pity, he doesn't treat him any differently than he would in years gone by, positioning himself in Izzy's line of sight before approaching and sweeping him up into a bone crushing hug. 

“Israel-goddamn-Hands!” he exclaims, as Izzy grumbles back a begrudging “Samuel-fucking-Bellamy”, a tradition almost as old as their friendship itself. Izzy might not hug him back, but he can’t keep the corner of his mouth from twitching, just for a second.

(If Sam holds Izzy a little tighter and a little longer than usual, well. That's his business)

By the time Sam lets go, most of the crew has appeared in the town square, drawn in by the commotion. They may have given Izzy his leg and welcomed him as one of them, but still there’s an underlying tension, with nobody quite ready to set aside everything that happened before the Kraken. Seeing him cosying up to an unknown man sets everyone on edge, unsure whether to come to their first mate’s aid, or to assume that they've been betrayed once again.

When Ed sees that the yelling was Sam, his hand goes tense where it's held in Stede's. He knows the routine, has seen it more times than he can count, but as he watches them part he realises that this is the first time in a long time he's unsure of what Izzy's response will be.

Knowing that something’s different, knowing that Izzy's feeling vulnerable already, Sam doesn't go for the same flashy proposal he’s been giving for years. He doesn't promise Izzy the world, he doesn't cause a scene (or, any more of a scene than he already has, anyway). He looks at the fractured man in front of him, takes his face in his hands, and says the exact same thing to him he said when they were little more than boys. “Israel, I have to ask you. I know what you'll say, but I have to try. Come with me. Marry me and sail away with me. I'll keep you safe”

And Izzy… hesitates. He glances over at Ed, at Stede, and says to Sam “...We’re staying in port for a week. Ask me again then”

That's the moment Sam knows there is something deeply, horribly, wrong. He's not just looking at an Izzy who got seriously injured in a fight and is struggling to cope, this is something so much bigger than that- and that Ed has something to do with it. Izzy wouldn't even be considering leaving if he didn't. Whether it was negligence or something more sinister, Sam doesn't yet know, but he intends to find out.

every time i watch the tng ep "starship mine" it cracks me up how picard is at first completely zoned out of the conversation, then clocks the word 'horses' and loses all intent to do anything else but ride immediately.

Like, sorry, but it is minging. The derpy looking lion is proud and front, and that's not even the main problem. The colours! they are so vile and bright they hurt my eyes. The armour set looks like someone was like,'Let's make the radahn set look actually cool, so fake Abbs to show strenthgth blah blah blah'. Don't care . The original looks way more imposing and impressive the larger frame it gives helps give the idea of how when radahn was alive he didn't need fake abs to convey strength his sheer size did that for him. The lion fur also a way nicer way of the honerage he had for Godfrey than the derpy lion with an over bite as it adds tidbit of Godfrey colour scheme to radahns faded gold.(the boots where beautiful in his original set)

Mixing and matching the set doesn't even save it that much

I'm still a little upset that they made pikmin 4 more a a family game type ( not out of the goodness of their heart nintendo just wants more money ) not to day it isn't challenging or difficult sometimes but it being a more pikmin 2 style of game I feel like they could've got a lot more crazy of they weren't so limited

There was a period of time when I got into reviewing ARCs (advanced reader/reviewer copies) of books because I loved the idea of getting to read books before they're published while helping them find their target audiences, and for a while it went really well. I'm pretty good at picking out books with themes that I want to read about, so most of my experiences were positive.

But eventually. Eventually, I hit a book I genuinely did not like, and I wasn't going to lie so I gave it a negative review, and the negative review railing on it for paragraphs and paragraphs has become so much more popular than every single other review I have ever given in my life that I ended up feeling bad about it and just stopped requesting ARCs altogether.

modern Theon listens to a playlist that is very similar to this in concept, completely casually and unironically. he does the little head bops back and forth as he listens and really just gets in the zone too (cause he's a cutie patootie). Robb asked why one time, very politely, and Theon just shrugged him off and changed his music back to his trashy teenage filth to keep him from pressing the issue.

ok constantine would sooner strangle me than be compared to roderick usher, but "the gates are always open but that doesn't mean you answer the phone" feels very close to how he operates with his friends and allies. you can always come to him for help, but it won't necessarily be the help you wanted. eventually people learn to just stop calling, because the silence is better than the disappointment.
