Getting mighty sick of retrospective videos that are over two hours long. I have yet to be convinced anyone actually needed that extra time to adequately make their point
#this is about a d*nganronpa 3 video i watched and all the other retrospective videos i started getting recommended afterwards#like a b0tw retrospective#girl that game is only six years old and we have yet to see its longterm effects on the series#also#dr3 is BAD but they did not need 5 hours to explain that#'this could have been an e-mail' except this could've been a 1-hour video#AT MOST#okay rant incoming about that video in specific#firstly the swapping between the dissections of the arcs#cute idea in theory#but since those arcs are so interlinked and share problems#separating their discussion and being forced to put off discussing certain topics because of that only hampers the analysis#also the 'devil's advocate' character they had to represent criticism from people who like dr3- again a cute idea#but it's so poorly executed#god forbid you have to face an actual reasonable good faith argument in defense of the thing you're criticizing#i expected a devil's advocate. an actually different perspective. not a strawman#that's on me though ig#and the section on chiaki firstly did not need to be put off for that long considering how crucial she is to dr3 and its flaws#and then it just devolved into angry ranting halfway through#everyone's gotta rant once in a while#heck im doing that right now#but after a certain point you're not saying anything anymore#you're just being angry#and so many points in general could have just been a few sentences#leya rambles
