out of curiosity, when you finish and post m*levenvision, how do you plan on tagging it on ao3? since it’s technically mike/el, but not in support of the two..?

I have thought about this too and I have literally no idea. If anyone has any input on that I'd love to hear it lmao.

What I may have to do is just not tag a pairing at all, just tag the characters. Because obviously I don't want it to show up for people that are searching for M*leven fics. Even though it is a M*leven fic technically but like you said not in favor of them.

Because it's very niche I don't know how many people on AO3 would be interested anyway, other than obviously people from tumblr who have heard me explain the concept and are interested. So I'm not overly concerned about people being able to find it by tag search on AO3 honestly. I'm not banking on a fic like this getting big, I'm kind of writing it for myself and you guys. Cuz I feel like most people are boring and want to read romance centric fics only, which this is not.

I'm gonna have to come up with a summary or tags that sort of explains the concept without being too spoilery, so that people understand what they're getting into. Not that it's super crazy or anything but like... it kind of is especially if you're going in blind.

But all of that being said, for the people that are interested in the concept, it's gonna slay the house boots down. So. You guys just have to all read it. 👉👈

sorry this took a bit, i was sort of busy and i wanted to give a good answer and link actual romani people's posts on the issues.

in the comics, wanda (and her family, like her twin pietro) is romani and jewish and w*ndavision erased that. the mcu has been whitewashing her and pietro since they were introduced. here's a great post by a romani person. i haven't watched a single second of it, and i haven't watched age of ultron, for example, which i think has a lot of issues in particular (correct me if im wrong, but the point is that mcu wanda is NOT wanda. she's a whitewashed caricature), but i know that the show is full of racism and treats being romani has a costume (see here). in that post you can also see that olsen, the actress who portrays wanda, is SO racist. she uses the g slur, has never apologized and hasn't taken into consideration any of the criticism that was made TO HER about mcu wanda and about her own racism. she's so awful.

accidentally posted this before i was done, ops. to conclude, it's just an awful show where they whitewashed jewish romani characters and im sure it has a lot of problems that im not specifically aware of because i haven't watched it and im not much into marvel anymore.

pluto + something her presence changes about canon!

oh golly so much. pluto is just the gateway to me rewriting things i didn’t like in canon lmao. here’s a few things off the top of my head: 

pluto is clint’s first kind-of sidekick/first time acting as a mentor pre-kate bishop.

pluto is one of the youngest s.h.i.e.l.d agents, albeit she never fully attended the s.h.i.e.l.d academy with the exception of a few classes and was pretty much fast-tracked into being an agent due to her relationships with fury/natasha/clint and her skill set from being trained by buckshot and then nat and clint. she was about 16/17. 

tony gets called out so much because pluto hates him (half from being raised by buckshot to not like him, half from just interacting with him) and doesn’t let him get away with shit. he should count himself lucky she disappeared in the snap because she would have torn him to shreds over that speech in endgame.

hella swearing because she swears a lot.

pluto, clint, wanda, steve, bucky, and sam have a funeral for natasha post-endgame. 

no nat talking about being ‘a monster’ because she’s sterile and referring to pluto as a kind of daughter to her/feeling like a mother to pluto.

pluto has an experimental version of the super soldier serum and steve’s whole reaction to it and how it happened to her and his guilt over being the inspiration that caused it to happen to her and others in the first place.

wanda’s entite plotline. that’s not necessarily because of pluto. that’s just me rewriting wanda. but also ~ wlw wanda ~.

wandav*sion (the show and the ship) never happens because i hate vision and wanda deserves better.

probably erasing the entirety of clint’s random, out-of-nowhere family from aou. or if i don’t then clint’s daughter lila was named after pluto (whose real name is leela).

also probably giving clint back his deafness which means pluto learns sign language.

completely reworking steve’s endgame ending. also not necessarily because of pluto, just because i hated it and it was a terribly bland and boring cookie-cutter hetero ending to his story.

also pluto probably makes a guest appearances in the hawkeye tv show, the falcon and the winter soldier show, and my reworked version of a scarlet witch tv show. also maybe the she-hulk show. 

she also probably gets her own show surrounding her post-avengers/post-endgame life, the affects of the experimental soldier serum on her, and people from her past turning up in her life (buckshot, the others from the super soldier experiment, new enemies and friends as well probably).
