today i want to overanalyze cats songs !!! specifically rn i want to talk about Macavity's song

so as we know, Macavity's song is a warning, along with a little bit of storytelling. i choose to believe there is also a little bit of truth embellishing though. Demeter is very skittish and has experience with Macavity, and Bombalurina finds him dangerously attractive like a story book villain. So even if they don't have bad intentions, i believe that theyre fantasticalizing him just a bit.

the difference between demeter & bombalurina's lines are also subtle unless you know what to look for! for instance, bombalurina has the lines "and when the larders looted, and when the milk is missing," which are faarr less worse than demeters "or the jewel case is rifled, or another peke is stiffled," which are inherently more human and devious in nature than 'oohh hungry cat steal the milk.'

Again, Demeter is the skittish one, and Bombalurina is shown to be rather frank. One is staring off into the distance like she's seen a ghost and the other is living it up okay. So honestly, it makes it hard to choose between who to listen to; if you're going with the assumption that one is more right than the other. Basically, i dont think Macavity has canonically broken every human law. sorry folks!

but what i wanna talk about is my interpretation of the line "I might mention Mungojerrie, I might mention Griddlebone"

Now I am well aware that this lyric is a leftover from T.S.E. where all of the poem cats existed and none were fictional in-world (like griddlebone is in the musical) so this lyric PROBABLY doesnt have real meaning. But im still choosing to assign it one okay

basically, Demeter says the first part about Mungojerrie being one of Macavity's agents. Mungojerrie is real in world and quite chaotic, so Demeter may view him as a threat similar to Macavity at times.

On the other hand, Bombalurina mentions Griddlebone, who in this world, is fictional. This entirely downplays Macavity, so Bombalurina may potentially not even view him as a real, pheasable threat. Or this insinuates that she thinks Macavity has no real agents besides fantasies?

Either way, this song shows how close these two are. Bombalurina never gets upset at Demeter for feeling the way she does; she only adds her own two cents in for how she views Macavity, even if she views him differently.

Okay guys, I actually managed to have a civil discussion with someone on Arcane twt who disagreed with me! Everybody cheer😭😂🤭

But fr tho, I admit that I did quote twt that person in bad faith. A friend of mine made a joke about how Caitlyn wouldn’t have missed(iykyk) and this person’s response rubbed me the wrong way. Think something to the effect of “violence is never okay. Shame on you for joking about this.” So, I saw his response to my friend’s tweet and decided to ask him who he thought the “true villain” of Arcane was. I had a feeling what his answer would be.

He said Silco was the main antagonist (fair enough) but then, ofc, he started talking about how, ultimately, “both sides” were at fault for all that’s happening in the show. Now I know that one’s opinions on the media they consume aren’t necessarily a 1 to 1 with their real life politics, but for the sake of the argument, I’ll ask: what’s this obsession that we, as a collective, have with making things more complicated than they should be?

A lot of times, situations really are messy and complicated. But in this instance, I don’t think that’s the case. I don’t think the situation between Piltover and Zaun is complicated at all. I see an oppressor (Piltover) being responsible for the centuries long disenfranchisement of the oppressed (Zaun). Then here comes Jinx, who has been victimized by Piltover for her entire life, becoming radicalized against them, and being violent towards them.

The idea that “violence is bad; full stop” is very dangerous. Violence against an entire group being conflated with violence on an individual level is not good. For example, let’s talk about stealing for a second. Is a poor, starving person stealing from a store that upcharges on necessities “wrong”? In my opinion, no. Is a corporation stealing wages(which is actually the most common form of theft) “wrong”? Absolutely! Now, if you wanna be technical, both examples are “in the wrong”. However, let’s be real here: one of these things is a hell of a whole lot more “wrong” than the other.

But to bring it back to Arcane, why is this idea that “the situation is so complicated, there are no good sides” so popular? There absolutely are! Violence against an oppressor is not a bad thing! I, a marginalized individual, am not anywhere close to being “just as bad” as the mfers responsible for my oppression!!! Why do so many of us feel that way? That doesn’t even make any sense! Stop feeling bad for people who don’t give nary a fuck, nor a shit, nor a good goddamn about you AT BEST! And at worst? They will GLEEFULLY partake in destroying your community!!!

I know the show is ultimately centrist asf(and therein lies the problem) but still!

Anyways, I say all that to say, it’s fine to disagree with people, cause I was able to have a nice discussion with this person, despite vehemently disagreeing with them. But like, I really wanna know WHY these people think the way they do. How could the situation between Piltover and Zaun be thought of as anything but chickens coming home to roost? If you’ve been paying even the slightest little bit of attention to the world we’re living in, and everything that’s going on rn, how could you not apply those same principles to the show?

The scenario? Well...she is a new villain in New York with some unsolved things with draxum,wanna make him pay for past stuff and all. The turtles find out about it and of course go protect their dad for abvious reasons and when they find the reader,they are more sassy and flamboyant than Leo lol.

Reader is a menance (villain arc goes brrr) but at some point (probably on the kraang invasion) they helped the turtles noticing their feelings for Leo and kinda confess or sum?

A/N: I adore this concept more than you can possibly know. As soon as this chapter is posted, I will be reading up everything you have on it. It just sounds so fun!(I didn't read it b4 hand cause I didn't want to accidently copy smth. Hope it still fits lol) Kinda took the post Kraang part and ran with it tbh. Also, in my defense, I have like 5 Leo WIPs rn, I just haven't gotten around to finishing them. But this seemed like the best 1st Leo post I could ever make, so it got major priority. And thanks for referring to me as pretty person! It made me so happy and I almost didn't want to answer this 'cause I just liked to re-read this ask a lot. I'm sorry it's so bad, I was really tired and wanted to get something out quick. Any criticism is welcome, constructive or not. Summary: It's two weeks after the Kraang invasion, and you haven't seen Leo since.

I stare down at the broken city, disappointed with the destruction the Kraang brought with them. Sure, I wasn’t exactly what could be called a stand-up citizen, but this was my home too. It had been two weeks since the Kraang invasion, two weeks since I had fought alongside the people I had known as enemies, two weeks since I had last seen them alive. After the Kraang ship exploded and the portal closed, I hadn’t seen any of the turtles or their friends. Not that I’m worried of course. They were all resilient, able to survive everything thrown at them thus far. Even if they weren’t okay, I was a villain and they were heroes. Something happening to them would just be a relief to the constant thorn in my side they insist on being. I couldn’t start caring about them, not now. No matter how much I was worried.

I turned around, facing away from the broken city. Repairs had started, but it would take a long time. People were missing, buildings had fallen, and morale had gone down. After all, an alien invasion wasn’t something even New York could instantly bounce back from. We would heal, but it would take months, even years. I start to head back to my home, jumping across the rooftops when I can and using the fire escapes on others. It was calming, the wind brushing against my face as I ran. I avoid the remaining rubble and the broken glass littering the rooftops, not wanting to slice open my legs.

I take a running jump, feeling myself being suspended in the air before gravity takes hold once more. Shifting my weight, I crouch down as I land, trying to lessen the impact on my still bruised legs. I use the momentum from the landing to shoot myself forwards, laughing as I feel the wind against my face. I get ready to make the next jump, my arms swinging backwards to help gain the right momentum, but I falter when I hear a voice in the distance. Leo’s voice. Slowing down, my arms sticking out to the sides as I try to not fall, my head snaps over to where I heard his voice. I knew I shouldn’t care, why did it matter that I heard him? We were enemies, I hated him, and he hated me. Right? I ignore my screaming brain, walking forwards and peering over the edge of the roof.

There they were, the four turtles and their human friends. Gross. I let out a grimace, watching as they waited in the alley, 3 pizza boxes in the orange ones arms. I continue to scan over them out of curiosity, trying to find Leo. His brothers were all there, having minimal damage done to them(Except the red one, but I already figured his shell wasn’t the only thing damaged the last I saw him.) I kept seeing basic glances of Leo, but the red one was blocking my view. I huff in frustration, moving along the edge of the roof to try and see him better. I could hear him just fine, but I wanted to see him.

I jump to a slightly lower building, keeping in the shadows so they don’t notice me. I had no idea why I cared so much, but I felt like I needed to see Leo. I wanted to make sure he was safe too. I duck down farther behind the ledge of the rooftop, the entrance to Run Of The Mill opening as someone stepped out. A very goat-like purple yōkai, stepped out. I groan, grimacing as I look at Baron Draxum. I let out a huff of air, frustrated. I give up on staying behind to check on Leo. I heard his loud voice, so he was probably fine. 

I keep quiet as I climb up a building, leaping across the residential and commercial buildings. If I really wanted to, I could just cause chaos in a few weeks to make sure they all showed up. But right now? Right now I just wanted to sleep. I jump onto a building with a wider roof, looking across the skyline. The broken city still managed to be beautiful, the people on the ground scurrying to be wherever they were needed. I hear a small thud behind me, my ears picking up the familiar pattering of footsteps. I continued to scan the horizon, pretending I was oblivious to the figure behind me. I grip my knife and shift my weight slightly, waiting until the perpetrator was in range. Once I could hear the breath of the person, I turned around, sweeping their legs from under them and holding a knife to their throat.

The attacker lets out a small yelp and a groan as they hit the ground, a shaky smile on their green face as they look up at me. It was Leo. I quickly get off of him, pulling him up with me as I put my knife back into its sheath on my side. I take in his appearance, my mouth pressing into a tight line as I notice his bandages. His carapace was completely wrapped up, as well as most of his platron. Different bandage wraps were scattered all over him, covering most of his scaly skin from sight. 

“What happened to you?” I ask, a small frown on my face. Leo’s smile never drops, pulling me into a tight hug.

“I missed you too! You know, it’s been so boring without you stirring up trouble every other day.” Leo pulls back from the hug, a hand on each of my shoulders as he shakes me lightly, mock disappointment on his features. “You disappeared before my grand finale! You didn’t even get to see how awesome I was! You are one cruel, cruel frenemy, you know that?”

I roll my eyes, batting his hands off my shoulders. “Oh please, I had more important things to do. Like, oh I don’t know, making sure Kraang minions didn’t kill a bunch of people?” I jut my hip out, looking Leo up and down again. “Seriously though, what happened after I left?”

“Aww, does someone care?” Leo teases, a smug grin on his face. My frown deepens, knowing I shouldn’t be upset he was wounded. I shouldn’t care. I turn around, trying to ignore the hole of despair growing in my chest. He was covered in so many bandages, new scars covering his visible skin. I felt sick just looking at him. Would he have been fine if I stayed? If I didn’t rush off? I couldn’t think of it right now, not wanting to come to terms with the fact that I cared for him.

Leo grabs my arm before I can jump to the next roof, pulling me back and putting his hands back on my shoulders, keeping me in place. “Hey, what’s gotten into you? Are you okay?” His voice is soft and his eyes are full of concern. It all just makes me feel worse. “You’re usually spitting back one liners and being all sarcastic, did something happen?”

I look back at Leo, chewing on the inside of my cheek as I try to figure out how to explain what I was feeling. I sigh, pulling Leo in for a hug, being careful not to put too much pressure on any of his wounds. I assumed I did a good job, as Leo just laughed and hugged me tighter against him. “It’d just be really inconvenient if something happened to you. You can’t just leave me with your brothers, they're boring.” 

Leo laughs at that, pulling away from the hug with a dopey grin on his face. “I knew you cared.”

It started out fine. Better than fine, actually. It was amazing.

He was hailed a Hero of Olympus, a good guy, an awesome kid with cool powers. People approached him constantly the first few days after the war to thank him, to compliment him, to ask about his adventures, to ask him about his powers. People wanted him around for the first time since Bianca died and he was only too happy to answer all their questions, to tell tales of the Underworld and the streets of America.

He should have expected that it would end. He was a Son of Hades. Demigods of Olympus would never want him around for long. It was foolish to hope, to believe, otherwise.

Day Five at Camp Half-Blood broke his heart. He’d made his way over to the Big House to meet up with Connor and Travis, his body relaxed as he walked in the sun. He smiled at the campers he passed, waving at those that he was— dare he say— friends with? He even high-fived Clovis as the boy passed him sleepily.

When he reached the Big House, the Stoll brothers smiled, as always, a little too wide to be reassuring. Connor pulled a box from behind his back and handed it to Nico. He grinned and opened it.

“Is this…?”

“An iPod?” Travis asked with a laugh. “Yeah. We found it when we were cleaning out the cabin yesterday. Figure we should bring you into the modern world, get you to throw out that frickin’ Walkman.”

Nico laughed. “Thanks so much!”

“No problem, dude,” Connor said. “Wanna help us with a prank?”

Nico grinned. “What do you have in mind?”

Two hours later, Nico was hiding in a tree, breathless from laughter as Chiron stomped around camp, furious that his hair and fur was now bright pink. That’s when a group of demigods walked by, talking in hushed tones. Nico listened in.

“…bet he harvested human blood to dye Chiron’s hair,” one of them said. Nicos heart dropped into his stomach.

“You think the Stoll’s would go for that?” Another kid asked.

“Hell yeah, they’re deranged too. Besides, Hermes is half Underworld. That’s why Luke went bad, I’ll bet,” the first one said.

“Makes sense. Bad blood,” a third kid said. He recognized his voice from a few days prior. It was an Athena kid who had leant him a copy of Alice in Wonderland two days ago. He’d told Nico that he was always there to help.

Did he lie? Was he saying that out of fear? He’d thought that the boy liked him.

“Death blood,” a fourth kid laughed. “How many people do you think he’s killed?”

“More than you can…”

They kept walking, and their conversation faded out of Nico’s ears. His eyes stung as if needles had been shoved in them.

He wanted to leave, to find the Stoll’s, to find Clovis, to tell them what happened, to lean on his friends, but he was paralyzed. He couldn’t even summon shadows to pull him away.

As he sat frozen, more campers walked underneath his hiding spot. Most spoke about him, rumours of his supposed insanity. His evilness.

My boyfriend told me he tried to kill Percy so he could be the child of the prophecy and bring back the titans and giants.

Tears tore out of his eyes, rained down his shirt, stung his skin. Was… was that really what the other demigods thought of him? That he was a monster, a villain, a horror or nature? While they’d been thanking him and being nice, had they only been afraid of him?

Was he really a monster?

He had to go.

He had to leave.

He had to disappear.

Why had he ever thought this time would be different? He didn’t belong. He’d never belong.

Besides, staying could get him killed. At least in the Underworld he had his parents. He had his siblings. He had a home and food on the table. He may be called creepy by the other campers, other demigods may distrust him even more, but at least the people down there didn’t want to kill him.

The shadows pulled up around him and sucked him back.

He was pushed in front of his father’s throne in the Palace, and his dad rushed forward and wrapped him in a hug.

He sobbed into Hades’ chest.

He would never go back to that camp. Never.

Maybe I'm high on cope but this still doesn't show everything, like someone said maybe Kazuya is taunting him, but then again we all know how bad the writing can get. And some annoying Kazuya stans are already starting to say Jin is the real villain of the story I'm gonna be sick lmao

But HONESTLY, to continue our sweet coping! We can look at some bright sides for that Hope: As you, others, and I've also realized: It could very well just be Kazuya taunting him. Especially since Kazuya is still... weirdly acting all High and Mighty. As if he's the "better" of the two. (This could be just bc Kaz accepts his "destructive nature" while Jin feels hypocritical to him.) Which kinda reminds me of how Kaz was acting in Tek6, trying to present himself as the better guy. So, this could be a manipulative act from Kazuya to try to get under Jin's skin, and try to get Jin to blunder. Jin could not be correcting Kazuya, because he does feel genuinely guilty. Like even if Jin wasn't in control or brainwashed, he still feels like he should've been stronger to prevent that from happening. Also, it IS the first 4 minutes, too. So, if it is clever writing (or decent writing for that matter) it could be setting things up, making us think things are different just to surprise us, y'know?

HOWEVERRR... even if they really ARE just gonna go with "Jin DID do that but it's okay because of the flimsy reasons we've given since that mess. :)" then I actually still don't see them making Kazuya the True Hero of the game. Why? Because I think the writing would be that bad that they think Jin's actions ARE excused because he's "sorry" and that he's trying to "make it up to everyone." Because the game's writing before has shown it has warped perceptions of character's actions. Hell, Harada doesn't even think Heihachi is that bad of a guy, even compared to Kazuya. (Which Heihachi is either just as bad, or WORSE lmao) Did everyone in the fandom just... forget that Heihachi was seen as the "better" of him and Kazuya in the games? Because if that happens, then why is everyone thinking Jin is still gonna be the bad guy despite his actions lmao?

And again... it still doesn't explain Lars' feelings towards Jin (or many of the other characters for that matter.) You could also say "aah, it's just the first 4 minutes! We don't REALLY know how Lars feels around Jin." But not only was he rooting him on in that story mode there, he's also friendly with him in their unique intro - they act like bros! And like, it'd be one thing if they were already acting this way in Tek7... but they weren't! Lars acts like he HATES Jin's guts. He even practically tells the Journalist that he would've killed Jin, too - but he's ONLY keeping Jin alive so that he can defeat Kazuya. So how do you get to "I wanna fucking kill you for all the pain you put me and everyone else through" to "Let's spar and fist bump fam! I believe in you!" Like that weird transition just made me BELIEVE that Lars must've had a revelation.... that it must have NOT been Jin's fault in some way, and Lars after discovering this, had started to warm up to his nephew. So yeah, to explain THIS ALONE, they're gonna need more than just Jin saying "I'm sowwy I feel bad. :(" Because remember "SO YOU STARTED A FREAKING WAR?" Like if Lars wasn't having it in TWO GAMES, he's not gonna have it all of a sudden in this game LOL.

I'm also going to avoid Reddit rn. Like I think I'm not gonna log on to it for a loooooong time. Just because there was already a handful of people bashing on Jin and saying Kazuya Is/Should Be the Main Hero, and Jin's irredeemable garbage. And this actually feels like fuel to that fire, and it's probably gonna cause an explosion. And I just... yeah. I don't feel like witnessing that explosion. Even if my hopes of it actually being retconned ARE true... we won't know until the game is actually out. And that's still a few months away, so that means there are still lots of time for people to just bash on the characters and stuff, and Tek6 in general is probs gonna be brought up a lot more. And I'm just not looking forward to that. Probably for the best, anyway - since I was using Reddit a lil too much.

Anyway, to end, I've seen some spoilers that were found in CNT via datamining, and it does potentially help with my coping too LOL. I will be talking about this under a readmore because they could be potential massive spoilers.

Azazel's pose was found in the CNT. Jin's only doing this here because the pose was just "code" - somebody had to apply it to a fighter to show that the code is indeed there, and see what the code looks like in the game. That's def Azazel's pose from Tek6! Many people think, due to the stage that looks like a reference to Tek6's throne room, that Jin will just have a mental battle with Azazel as a way to "fight his demons." Buuuuuut I actually don't think that's it. I think we're gonna see the REAL Azazel, he may even be the final boss.

Because Zafina is base game. She WASN'T base game in Tek7, only DLC. Why is she base game now? Hmmm... remember? Zafina's still "possessed" by Azazel. I think she's gonna play a MAJOR role in the story. I think she's gonna be why/how Azazel returns.

And finally... the FIRST THING I theorized when the story trailer released nearly a year ago. Kazuya's tie clip. It looks like it could be Azazel's skull + his horns. Isn't that also kinda sus? Why would Kazuya be wearing an image of Azazel? Could he still be under Azazel's influence? Like there are already so many things pointing to Azazel.

So, my verdict is... as much as I adore my own concepts, I really thought it was more unlikely for the game to place the blame on DJ. Especially just because DJ and Jin might be in a kind of Truce right now? They might be working together? Given DJ reaching out to Jin in the beginning of the story trailer, and DJ still being on the roster, and DJ POSSIBLY being in the first five minutes. So yeah. Right now I'm banking on Azazel was brainwashing Jin (and maybe even Kazuya, who knows) Because Azazel, being the creator of the devil gene and once ruler of humanity, just has that power. The devils are his puppets, and he can control them... they must break free of his chains. Which I HOPE this is it, and they just don't have Azazel pop up in the final act so Jin and Kazuya can be like "he's the REAL reason why we had to start this war!111!!1 He threatened our world and we were FORCED to plunge it into despair to draw him out!111!!!" But we'll see.... we'll see.

Of course, if Azazel's brainwashing is what happens. It'll make me happy. But my blog will have to STILL be canon divergent just because I love my ideas too much of DJ doing the war, and I love the development I put him through with it. :3

so basically its a dnd inspired fantasy au, with the party as their dnd characters, classes pulled from this post , definitely didn't have to scrounge through my save blog for that, by @/elekinetic, if they didn't already have them. because it's real and true.

basest plot outline i can possibly give you is as follows; as young children all of the members of the party were Marked somehow for Evil and Villainous purposes, or perhaps Good and Benevolent purposes, but it stands that they marked. (by whom? well. tch. heh.) this mark comes with this innate.. pull? i guess? to the other members, but not strong enough to be noticeable, more of a seeing the others and thinking "oh! there you are! i've been looking for you!" despite never meeting before. the group starts as mike and will finding each other, before it all kinda spirals and they form a little adventuring party, led to their next destination by their faithful cleric, who alongside the original pull, feels another drawing them all to wherever the universe decides they Need To Be.

that's like. the concept i guess? i really don't want this to run too long so i'm putting more ideas and villainy and art and such under the cut :-D be warned i hate most punctuation and i love to ramble.

(this is possibly spurred on by a spot of creelarke and scott chilling in gardens and teaching him that not all science is bad and mean and also that brenner is kinda full of shit) and for this grave crime he is locked in the attic.

character writing time (i made my son today its so traumatized already <3)

okay so i did come up with it through a self-made prompt: we always hear about how the villain has better reasons then the hero, or the villain's goal is more just then the hero's. well, the hero realized this after a confrontation with the villain. as such, they quit working for those in charge, the ones wanting to fight for these ideals, wanting to go join the villain. however, being enemies doesn't stop when you switch sides, and the villain pushes the hero away. the hero now is a traitor to both sides, evil in the eyes of all parties involved, and a hero to none no longer.

another thing before we begin, my son aka the character i made uses it/itself pronouns and is boyflux! its unnamed, but ill come up with one later, rn its writing time (yes i built my prompt now differently, this is like the backstory to the scenario, and tw of attempts at suicide and general shitty quality of life) (adding while writing, talking badly about using it/itself pronouns (which i do use, nothing wrong with them)

Was it 7 months, 8? It didn't know. It didn't feel a need to care. Not after all it had worked for came crashing down. For 7 years, it had worked to be great. It was great. It saved people, it fought away bad guys, it was helpful to their cause. Then it opened its eyes, with help from their enemy.

"Do they want a safe city, or are they fighting for the control over it?" Marion had boomed. It normally wasn't enough, but it didn't leave it's head and it had to ask. And oh boy did that go just GREAT. It quit then and there, and in the process became a target for them to destroy. It had planned to maybe work with Marion, maybe even stay with her. But she didn't believe a word. She didn't want to listen long, and those eyes declared the message before she spoke it.

For 7 years, it was a respected individual. In these 7 or so months, it was unable to be seen as an individual by any. Out of costume and out of any shelter or anything, it had sunk lower then the care for a shot rabid dog. Maybe if it had fucking planned, it wouldn't be freaked out over any look, worrying if any food they'd get was poisoned, if the world could care for a second.

The running tired it's legs. It was tired of running. So here it was, sitting on a crummy wooden bridge, in the bumfuck area of town, where if improvements happened it came from the people's efforts. The railing creaked and it was littered with nails and glue desperately trying to hold together the pieces. The bridge's best area was how built in it was to the road, it supported it well. That didn't stop the paint peeling and uneven planks from filling one with fear. Still, the small snail painting which seemed to have new additions to it each day (new flowers, a sun, friends, anything these kids could paint) was cute. It felt fragile and strong at heart.

The rails were warm. Its hands held the plank and closed its eyes, taking it in. The noises of conversation just too far away, maybe some cars, the wind, its breaths. In, comfort and warmth and love filled itself. Out, the knowledge it couldn't be for someone like it, one who itself knows it couldn't be referred to as human. In, the musky waters about one block away from the bridge filled its brain. Out its arms went. Out its legs went. Out of this world it wished for. Holding in this final breath, even when its lungs wanted nothing more. Just like in the uppers' trainings, it thought. No pain, no gain, it thought.

In, fallen off and finally finding an answer to where the world's kindness went, it had fallen into Marion's. Her dark blue eyes reminded it of the night sky. It wondered if this was death yet.

"Now what the fuck were you doing." She was holding it so nicely. As though she'd feel pity for the rabid dog, still holding on through its pain, no matter how much it didn't want to. "God, breathe, you're not dead yet!" Without warning, it felt a quick flat blow to the stomach, forcing it to let go of whatever air it tried to hold just a little longer.

"Maybe I should have used rope, heh." It's voice was shakey and louder then it wanted.

"Well, I'm grateful you didn't." There was a moment of silence between the two. It's head just looked up at the stars, barely visible.

"...You weren't lying. You weren't trying to deceive me or whatever shit."

"...I guess."

"Why did you go talk to me first?"

"...Don't know, felt right." It lied there.

"Hey," grabbing its cheek and tilting its head down. "I may not fully fucking trust you, but your staying with me for now. If this whole thing was a trick, then fuck you, but I sadly can't let somebody try that again. Not when it's y...someone with good information on those fuckasses." Morian chose her words carefully, as though one mess up and itd try again.

Grabbing her hand, it knew this was probably how itd be going. No way people change heart so easily. Yet, it couldn't lie on this, it was one of the most pleasant kidnappings it had been apart of.

Tbh I like a lot of the arcs in Moriarty the patriot but if I had to say, it would either be the noahatic arc or the hounds of Baskerville arc. Least favourite is probably the final problem arc because it makes me really sad every time I watch/read it.

The noahatic arc I feel was very detailed and well written in terms of how William had everything planned out. That goes for most of his plans though. Also that one scene when he and Sherlock meet is just so funny and honestly is everything to me. I also like how they use a ‘good looking’ noble to show that appearances don’t matter when it comes to morality. Before this point we either saw average or ugly guys being the villains and were all fairly outcasted socially but Enders was a handsome man who had a good social status and was fairly well liked. I think the creators used that in a really clever way to show how no matter how attractive someone is, they can still be bad.

I liked the hounds of Baskerville arc because it was genuinely quite terrifying and shows the extremes of how evil some noblemen could be. Also I really like the development it gave both Louis and Fred aswell as William to an extent because we see he isn’t entirely perfect and sometimes he is a bit of an idiot with the whole ego thing and not understanding how Louis felt left out. We get to see how Louis and Fred could both be William’s successor in a sense and how they both differ as people considering we never got much on either of them before then. I think it was really well written in terms of character development and I did a whole ramble on the themes of brotherhood and family earlier here

OH YEAH CURTS TALKING ABT NORMAN okay so dr connors work is strictly to work on curing norman osborn bc he has retroviral hyperplasia (the osborn curse) hes not actually working to help ppl, thats not what he was hired for, hes here to help cure norman so that he doesnt die from this disease that no ones cured yet

so what theyre essentially doing is trying cross species genetics to see if some animal with like. self healing abilities. (like a spider) would cure norman if used in the correct way. thats also what richard was working on with him but we dont learn abt that for a while.
