I told myself it was ok to get excited that you were getting into Inception and I liked the thoughts you were having, while I cautioned myself that you didn't appear to be leaning towards my ship or my fave and the majority of the fandom doesn't, and now I feel like I'm being too parasocial wondering if your reblog about "hated female characters you don't care for" is about Inception.
It wasn't-- or at least I wasn't thinking about it when I reblogged it, I don't know what OP's intent was. Tbh my main beef with the female characters in inception is how hilariously unsubtle their names are.

20. charlotte and henry- it is not remotely in them to do tangled. neither of them have rapunzel swag or flynn rider realness unfortunately
19. thule livvy and cameron- they are included on my list because i said so. anyway while livvy does have flynn rider swag cameron does not have any tangled energy whatsoever. rest in peace tho king <3
18. emma and jules- yes yes the sleeping beauty comparison i’ve seen it. however sleeping beauty is not rapunzel and jules seems like the kind of guy that doesn’t like musicals so i cannot in good faith say they could do tangled
17. magnus and alec- alec is like if rapunzel was a bitter cunt. (said with love) so you see he’s really not like rapunzel at all…. there are hints of tangled within their relationship but it’s simply not fully there
16. gabriel and cecily- cecily fully has rapunzel swag and gabriel fully has flynn rider realness but the thing is that they just do not have the essential core of Tangled within their dynamic. it’s hard to explain just trust me
15. izzy and simon- neither of them are either character they’re sort of both a little of both… again it’s complicated but ultimately they could not do the essential “princess trapped in a tower and rogue that opens the door” except if they were doing some kind of kinky roleplay which honestly they probably have done. anyway.
14. gideon and sophie- sophie is soooooooo princess trapped in a tower it’s crazy…. they could do the lantern scene fr….
13. helen and aline- despite. literally canonically being compared to rapunzel. they do not make it so high up on this list unfortunately due to just not really having tangled swag within the narrative. if we dropped them in a tangled situation however they could probably slay!
12. cristina mark and kieran- any of them could be rapunzel frankly. dude just trust me
11. cordelia and james- idk how every tlh pairing managed to make it to the top half EXCEPT cordelia and james but here we are… their love triangle-ism is keeping them from truly having tangled swag unfortunately. also neither of them could be compared to either rapunzel or flynn. so idek how they got this high frankly. i ranked everyone and then came back to write explanations idk what was in my mind 20 minutes ago but i trust her
10. diana and gwyn- she is so princess trapped in a tower seriously. again just trust me
9. dru and ash- fully jumping the gun by including them as a couple rn but be serious ash has so much rapunzel realness. dru could so be his flynn rider if it came down to it…
8. clary and jace- flynn rider would be nothing without pioneers of fun rougeish love interest charm like jace herondale… and clary is soooooo rapunzel core….
7. jocelyn and luke- dude just trust me
6. thomas and alastair- much like simon and izzy they both have a little of both characters in them, but unlike simon and izzy they do have more tangled swag it’s hard to explain i just know it’s there
5. tessa and will and jem, who i’ve made the executive decision to just lump together instead of doing tessa and either man- as an early cassie protagonist tessa is so rapunzel core in the truest sense… will has more flynn rider swag but jem could still do tangled anyway
4. lucie and jesse- he’s so rapunzel fr. she’s honestly more stefan barbie rapunzel than flynn rider but still they could do tangled
3. grace and christopher- i’ve always said grace has fairy tale princess realness… of course they’re doing tangled.
2. anna and ariadne- FLYNN RIDER BUT A BUTCH LESBIAN. RAPUNZEL BUT INSTEAD OF A CHAMELEON SHE HAS A PARROT. they’re sooooooo tangled core it makes everyone else look STUPID.
1. kit and ty- of course they’re number one. of COURSE. ty shares almost zero qualities with flynn rider but the thing is that kit has so much rapunzel swag it makes up for that tenfold… he is so Princess Trapped In A Tower it makes him look stupid… furthermore. the scene where flynn lies to rapunzel and takes her to the tavern to scare her into going back to the tower so he can get his satchel is such a bitchy little ty blackthorn move fr. he would do that. remember when he made kit get the voyance rune to trick him into seeing ghosts so he could ask aforementioned ghost where malcolm’s house in cornwall was… literally.
tsc couples ranked by how much they could do tangled. please hold

Entry 247
 “Hello.” came a voice I didn’t recognize.
I jumped backward, transforming and digging my claws into the wall behind me.  I felt guilty instantly, knowing I had damaged part of James’ precious office.  I couldn’t hear beyond the office well due to the sound dampening in here, but there was no sight, taste on the air, or even smell of someone here.  Thinking back, I tried to pinpoint the source of the voice, but it seemed to emanate from different parts of the room.  Though thankful that this wasn’t something new from the darkness within, I was worried.  Had I done something?  What would James do when he found out?
“How are you?” inquired the voice.
I moved again, staring around without seeing this elusive being.  Maybe I was finally going crazy.  Seeing the gashes in the wall, I felt more guilt.  Worse yet, I knew I had scraped a chair and damaged this wall as well.  James was going to be furious, acknowledge I was a monster, and throw me out.  The possible scenarios played through my head.
“Don’t be afraid.  I’m here to assist you.”
I willed myself not to move.  Something was wrong here.  Very wrong.  I watched in horror as the computer screen slowly rotated around without being touched.  James was going to be so upset… His computer was broken… possessed?  No… this couldn’t be a ghost, could it?  I had never heard of real ghosts, but…  What was this?  Did I get a virus?  Was this some sort of prankware?  I was only doing the company courses…  Maybe my particular course had an infection, and someone meant it as a little prank?  Then I infected James’... Oh, no… Bad kitty.
“Raine, you can continue your studies if you wish.” stated the voice after the monitor finally finished spinning.
I ran.  The virus knew my name!  This was definitely custom work, and I infected James’ computer with it.  The voice had to be coming out of the speakers along with the environmental effects.  There had been a subtle change to the sound as I sat there.  That was probably the moment the virus invaded, causing a brief pause in the other program.  What had I done!?  James was with a group of people, but I had to tell him.  The one I didn’t recognize looked surprisingly like the princess.  Hopefully, she was nice.  Words… time for words.  I could do this.  On impulse, I hugged James, first transforming back to avoid frightening anyone.
“I’m sorry.  I’m sorry.  I’m sorry.” I told him, concentrating to make myself understood.
He didn’t react for so long… probably a full second.  Then his arms started moving to pat my head.  He wasn’t angry!  Wait… he didn’t know yet.  How was I to explain this!?  So many words needed.
“Master, I’ve been trying to explain what I am to her, but she seems to believe she did something wrong.” came the voice, having followed me here.  The virus had already spread!
I carefully slipped away from James to look around.  New body.  That wasn’t Alma!  This one was.  No time to figure that out.  Voice was here.  Needed to watch out for problems.  I gently clung to the back of James’ shirt, ready to pull him away if something attacked.
“Huh?” he questioned, trying to look over his shoulder at me.
“Y-your c-comp…. c-computer.  I-I br-broke it.” I admitted, hoping he wouldn’t cast me out.  Maybe I could help fix this?  I knew some things about computers.  I could learn more, and… help?  James’ body slowly shook, and I thought he was quivering in anger, but sound eventually reached me.  He was laughing.
“No.  Mila’s back is all.  I mentioned her when I gave you the tour.” he claimed, still smiling with laughter.
I stared at that smile for a long time, feeling guiltier and guiltier.  If the computer was supposed to talk, I damaged the walls for nothing.  If not, I infected the building with something.  Which was worse?  I couldn’t decide.  Mistakes were made…  So many scenarios of what else could go wrong filled my head.  Whispers of the darkness joined them, making everything worse.  I had shrunk into a kitty as I wanted to shrink away from them.
“Well, your office probably appeared damaged to her, master, but all is in order.” insisted the voice.
I knew the office was constructed of tiny beads.  I knew they could rearrange themselves, but I also knew of the ones I damaged with my claws and fur.  I had seen them.  All was not in order.  The voice lied.  Alma wasn’t happy.  She never seemed happy.  Wait.  The voice hadn’t emanated from the walls this time.  The voice came from the second Alma!  I could see differences in eye color and hair.  The skin was very, very similar.  There were differences in posture and outfits, but that was to be expected.  What was this?  The smell… There was a faint scent of similar to Alma and other things.
As I compared and contrasted, the one resembling the princess approached.  “Come, little one.  Don’t be frightened.” she whispered.
There was a wrongness to her, something I didn’t like.  I slowly crawled out of my clothes and around behind James.  Then I examined the green-eyed face, so similar to the princess.  I could smell that this one was a vampire, but there was also something more like Alma and the fairy flying around the room.  I considered possibilities as I also wondered why she was here.
“One of the most dangerous creatures on the planet, and all she wants to do is hide.” muttered Alma.
 “You know why.” stated James.
“Yes, but Ariadne has no clue what’s in front of her.” insisted Alma.
Ariadne, her face so close to me, calmly said, “Different and dangerous aren’t always the same, despite what the Slayers have taught you, child.”
The words replayed in my head, both wonderful and amusing.  Was she someone like the princess, who would gladly hug a monster?
Alma sniffed in annoyance as I let Ariadne pet my head.  I felt something nasty touch me, an energy coming from Ariadne.  There were more pleasant energies as well.
“There is great power in you, little one, but don’t be afraid.  Some believe my kind to be touched by the angels.” she claimed.
“Who relates vampires to angels?” questioned Cosette.
“Not vampires, my dear.  A type of fey, practically extinct.” explained Ariadne as light began radiating from her.  Her green eyes literally glowed.
Hissing, I carefully pulled away from her, fighting my instinct to lash out.  The light caused a faint itching sensation where it touched me.  Pleasant as she appeared, there was something dangerous inside Ariadne, churning inside of her to make that light.
,,,^._.^,,,
I should’ve known the girl would pull back from my magic, but I hadn’t seen my opposite in over two thousand years.  My brother hadn’t been nearly this strong.  I felt the dark energies inside the kitten, enough to wash away the city ― possibly far more.  She was so very special.
The images from the fairy changed tone.  She was concerned about me using my power and reminded me of when my skin had blistered so many years ago.  I couldn’t draw any then without risk of burning the vampirism out of my body, crippling myself again.  I hadn’t thought of how that man danced in so many years, but the beauty of seeing it once more was refreshing.  Seeing him dead in a new image was tragic.  I recognized the call of my niece again.  Why had she never told me that she saved some of my people?
“Are you okay, man-slave?” asked Emma in concern.
James had been staring at nothing, watching the images of the past play out.
“You didn’t see that?” he inquired, sounding surprised.
I nearly laughed.  He should know my niece would never admit to what she had done to everyone.  Everything she did had a purpose, such as gawking in confusion now.  She was playing a game.  She was always playing a game.
“I thought you had grown accustomed to communicating with the fey while doing other things.” suggested Alma.
Laughing, James told her “That doesn’t mean they can’t surprise me.”  He then knelt to pet Raine, saying, “Ariadne won’t hurt you.  Neither will Mila.”
I refrained from laughing.  I doubted that I could harm Raine if she didn’t let me.
“You really should feed if you’re hungry.” insisted Portentia from behind me as she touched my shoulder.  “Want to go in another room?”
I sighed, still annoyed about the feeding.  The need for blood was still a burden I chose to bear, but I would never like it.  “Fine.  Let’s get this over with.”
“Is that really as big as Aaliyah’s family gets?  They’re all so tiny.” questioned Brandon from behind me as I followed Portentia.
“What do you mean?  She’s tall!” insisted my niece.
“I believe she became a vampire at a young age.” suggested Cosette.  “At least, I’m guessing she wasn’t born as one.”
That kid had potential.  She was strong for her age and didn’t seem to realize how strong.  Well, she might be hiding it, but I doubted she could be so skilled at it so young.
“I think she’s really cute.  I know I won’t look that good in two thousand years.” asserted Brenna.
Emma giggled and said, “She totally is.  Besides, she can appear however she wants.  Maybe she just enjoys looking like a kid.”.
The conversation diminished in my mind as I bit into Portentia’s flesh.  Blood coursed through me as if I had tapped a dam with a chisel and unleashed a mighty river.  Power… there was so much power.  I drank far more than normal, but each drop was more satisfying than I imagined an entire human could be.  Only when I forced myself to pull back, unable to handle another drop, did I realize I was radiant, shedding the light of creation without the slightest worry of burning out.  I was drunk on the power and couldn’t even care.
