I always wanted to do something with the lights above the Arby's. It's a striking and bizarre visual, a combination of the odd and the mundane. If I remember correctly, the paragraph about the lights above the Arby's was the first part of Night Vale ever written, and it pretty much encapsulates the series. There are some normal and familiar things in this town, but also incredibly bizarre things. Both are considered normal in the town of Night Vale.
