The Stacks this year at Lightning in a Bottle was definitely the coolest stage design I have seen for something of its size. This and the surrounding structures were made mostly from reused spools that were as big as a truck. Hope to find out the story behind them some day. #TBT Another memorable experience at @libfestival sharing practice with everyone who attended. Though I only had a chance to teach one of the two classes for which I was scheduled due to rain (actually it was pretty cool to hear lightning at a festival called Lightning In a Bottle ⚡️) I was grateful for the opportunity to be there. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I called my class “The Radical Iyengar Yoga Experience” because 1) no props were used. In fact half the practioners didn’t even have yoga mats and neither did the teacher 🙊 2) No adjustments except self adjustments were given and 3) No corrections on anyone were necessary. The intention was to empower everyone to witness their own unique experience, however familiar or new it might be to them, and feel a sense of ownership and connection in one’s movements and poses.
