firefighter!abby who comes in every sunday morning to your floral shop, tucked in a tiny corner downtown. you’re usually tucked away in the back, doing floral arrangements, calculating your inventory, organizing new shipments, or just avoiding others in general. an introverted nature is ingrained into your bones. so, dina takes over the front counter. she’s sweet, kind enough to engage in conversation. big brown eyes and welcoming smile always seeming to put the customer’s at ease, assessing their needs as they step foot in the door.
firefighter!abby who comes in on the dot, half-past nine, right before her shift. her build, incredibly toned, clad in black cargos and her seattle fire department t-shirt tucked in. she greets dina with her blinding, pearly white smile. warming her up to the core as dina grabs the assortment that’s ordered every week. yellow roses, white lillies, and peach carnations make their way into the abby’s hands. she thanks dina, with the same somber look in her eyes before she exits with the same bouquet she always does.
firefighter!abby who is out for the day, cup of coffee in her hand, ellie to her right telling her about the black-haired beauty she met at the local pub. swearing up and down there was a cute friend, supposedly, but it really just sounds like this is her only way in which her friend needs to enlist help from the hunky-blonde for assistance.
“So, let me get this straight. You met this girl—”
“Dina.” Abby pauses, blonde eyebrows quirk upwards. “Wait, does she work at a floral shop?”
“Yes—” Ellie pauses, envy swirling in her emerald eyes immediately, “Fuck, Anderson, do not tell me you’ve fucked her!”
Abby smirks, wanting to tease her spunky friend. “C’mon, are you fucking serious? No. Shit. Did you really fuck her?” Abby winks as she takes a sip of her black coffee, bicep flexing in the process.
“Dude. How the hell am I supposed to compete with your greek god fucking biceps?” Ellie lifts up the sleeve of her shirt, comparing her much smaller arms to Abby’s very toned and thick muscle. Even Abby’s veins are more prominent than hers.
Abby giggles, “First off, you can’t but you don’t have to…this time. I just buy flowers from there and everyone kinda knows everyone. It’s Jackson.”
“Oh, thank god. You had me worried there for a second. Jesus.” Ellie nudges her shoulder, picking at her naibeds anxiously. “So, will you come so you can meet her friend?”
Abby thinks for a moment. How bad could it be? It’s just one night, right?
firefighter!abby who comes to the flower shop on a saturday this time. the doorbell rings signaling her entrance, but she doesn’t find dina working the counter like she normally does. you’re someone new, someone she hasn’t seen before, someone beautiful. so much so, she feels as if her feet have been glued to the hardwood floors. dear god, she looks like a goddamn idiot. she’s thankful you’re helping someone as abby tries to break from her caulking spell.
firefighter!abby who takes note of how attentive you are with the customers even if your body fidgets as you help them but then you smile, it makes her melt. anderson, get yourself together, you have a date tonight. it’s just one, incredibly beautiful girl. you’re fine. she’s fine. before her brain can make one more stupid thought, you’re walking up to her.
You smell of lavender, it coats Abby’s senses as you make a beeline for her. It could be the shop or it could be you. She believes it’s you.
“Afternoon, is there something I can help you with?” You ask, Abby reads the name tag on your chest and musters up somewhat of a coherent sentence. You start making the arrangement for her, it’s then she notices how familiar it is.
It isn’t the flowers she typically chooses, the one she orders through the website of the shop, but the craftsmanship is identical. Down to the yellow ribbon to wrap it neatly, keeping the specially made bouquet in place.
Abby’s blue eyes must light up with wonder because you smile, it's soft as it slips out of you, too quick for you to hide behind the wall you usually keep yourself within.
“Um, you make all the arrangements here, right?” Anxiously, you dust your hands on the maroon apron tied around your waist.
“Yeah, I would hope so. It’s my shop.” You’re not boastful about it, or snarky, it’s sweet. As if you’re proud and you should be.
“Oh, sorry! I hope you don’t take it the wrong way. I just, um—” Speak blondie, you’re making a fool of yourself. “ I come here every week and have just never seen you before s’all. It’s nice to match the wonderful shop to the even prettier owner.”
Abby wonders why she doesn’t ask for your number or even try to. She’s not exactly a stranger to beautiful women. When she knows what she wants, she’s like a dog with a bone. Never has she ever halted, or had someone stop her dead in her tracks without even trying.
In her mind, she’s finding excuses. It’s the sun’s fault for letting the light hit your eyes perfectly, saturating the color even further. Or the way she obsesses over your curves, or the joy seeming to radiate every time you smile.
It can’t be any of those little things.
Abby fishes for the wallet in her jacket pocket, before handing you her card, you finalize the transaction before handing the silver card back to her. Calloused fingertips press against yours, much softer than Abby’s, but it excites the two of you.
Not that either of you spoke a word of it.
“You’re girlfriend’s a lucky girl. It’s a thoughtful gesture—” but your eyes build a fright in them, a horror that you can’t take back. “I’m sorry! Oh my god. I didn’t mean to just, fuck, assume you had a girlfriend or that you’re into girls. Jesus, I don’t know what came over me. God.”
Abby bites down a smirk as you anxiously beat your nail on the countertop as if you ruined the interaction. Impatiently needing this to be over.
“S’okay, really, you didn’t assume wrong.” Mischievous pools of blue look you up and down, pointed canines kissing her pink lips as they bite at the flesh.
“I don’t have a girlfriend. Well—” Abby leans over placing her palm against yours, her fingertips linger on your skin, setting it ablaze. Releasing your grip of the bouquet and palming the wrapped flowers in her firm grasp.
“Not yet.”

lmk what you think! hope you enjoyed it! ♡

The history of Litha reveals its deep connections to ancient agricultural societies & their reliance on the sun’s power. Celebrated as part of the Wheel of the Year, Litha symbolizes the balance between light & darkness. Throughout history customs such as bonfires, herb gathering & the construction of sunwheels have marked this festival. Today, Litha continues to be celebrated by various communities, with gatherings at sacred sites & private rituals in natural settings. It serves as a reminder of our connection with nature and the cycles of life.
• The traditions of Litha appear to be borrowed from many cultures. Most ancient cultures celebrated the summer solstice in some way such as the Celts celebrated Litha with hilltop bonfires & dancing. Many people attempted to jump over or through the bonfires for good luck. Other European traditions included setting large wheels on fire & rolling them down a hill into a body of water.
Litha is often associated with Midsummer, a celebration that extends beyond the pagan & Wiccan traditions. Midsummer festivities are observed in many cultures around the world, including Scandinavian countries where it holds a prominent place in their cultural heritage. Midsummer dances, bonfires, & feasts are integral parts of these celebrations, often accompanied by folklore & traditional rituals that honor the sun’s energy & the abundance of nature during this time.
• In the Northern Hemisphere the Summer Solstice occurs when the Sun reaches its highest and northernmost points in the sky. It marks the start of summer in the northern half of the globe. (In contrast, the June solstice in the Southern Hemisphere is when the Sun is at its lowest point in the sky, marking the start of winter.)
Related festivals:
• Vestalia: June 7th -15th-
Was a Roman religious festival in honor of Vesta, the goddess of the hearth & the burning continuation of the sacred fire of Rome. It was held from 7–15 June & was reserved as a women’s-only event. Domestic & family life in general were represented by the festival of the goddess of the house & of the spirits of the storechamber — Vesta & the Penates .
On the first day of festivities the penus Vestae (sanctum sanctorum of the temple of Vesta which was usually curtained off) was opened for the only time during the year, at which women offered sacrifices. As long as the curtain remained open, mothers could come, barefoot and disheveled, to leave offerings to the goddess in exchange for a blessing to them & their family.
For the last day, the penus Vestae was solemnly closed, the Flaminica Dialis observed mourning & the temple was subjected to a purification called stercoratio: the filth was swept from the temple & carried next by the route called clivus Capitolinus & then into the Tiber.

☁️ ❝ week of melancholies: wukong x you ❞
seven days. seven echoes.
in every world, he forgets — but finds.
in each one, you feel — but leave.
𖦹
┊ 1 ┊ the temple where time weeps
the bells no longer ring, but the wind still knows ancient names.
a spirit lies sealed beneath the ashes.
you touch his skin as if it weren’t the first time.
𖦹
┊ 2 ┊ cold lights, dead carnations
he awakens in a body of metal, but his eyes are still made of sun.
you swear you’ve never seen him — yet you dream of his voice speaking your name in another tongue.
𖦹
┊ 3 ┊ ten thousand winters in porcelain
the barista with a fractured smile speaks of gods and immortality.
no one listens.
you listen too much.
𖦹
┊ 4 ┊ where the stars forget
a body floats between forgotten galaxies.
you wake him.
he asks about home —
and you look at the sky like someone still searching.
𖦹
┊ 5 ┊ peach trees at the edge of ending
the world is over, but the blossoms still open for him.
and when he smiles, the sky seems to remember spring.
𖦹
┊ 6 ┊ streets where gods go hiding
a stranger with golden eyes stops in the rain.
he says he once walked with you through worlds that no longer exist.
and for a moment, you believe him.
𖦹
┊ 7 ┊ stage, curtain, eternity
he plays the Monkey King.
you play the one who doesn’t recognize him.
but in the third act, something in his eyes breaks —
and the world begins again.
𖦹
seven ways to be forgotten.
seven versions of him trying to remember.
he never says it aloud.
but in every life, he’s looking for you.

Imagine seeing P!NK GALS Princess Peach and Amy Rose together doing a duo fashion of love!
Amy wearing a hot pink halterneck pleated dress with a heart keyhole on chest area, and underneath her dress is red lace looking like rose petals. Her boots are neon red with upper classic rose pink lace shaping like hearts. Black thigh high stockings. A golden chain around her waist, and the chain actually has blue beads. Sparkly strawberry pink lipstick. Blue rose stud earrings. And white gloves with a blue heart print on front. And light blue streaks in her pink hair looking like cotton candy colors. She is standing to her right, and doing a curtsy.
And Peach is dressed in a glittery carnation pink crop tube top with a sweetheart neckline and matching short skirt that has a deep pink slash around her waist. Red strappy shoes with low block heels. Dark pink nail polish on her fingers and toes. Tomato red lipstick. Navel ring that is a golden star. (Yup. I now headcanon that Peach pierced her belly button) Red steaks in hair. Black leather fingerless gloves with white gold studs on knuckles. Glittery yellow gold heart-shaped hoop earrings. And a yellow gold necklace with ruby heart encircled by pink diamonds. Her highness is standing to her left, with her right hand on hip and left hand used to blow a kiss.
Peach and Amy planned this!
And now, imagine Mario and Sonic madly blushing at that sight!
Happy Valentine's Day to you MarPeach and SonAmy fans! ❤️🩷💙🩷❤️🩷💙🩷❤️🩷💙🩷❤️🩷💙🩷

காதல்

[ ID: Traditional art of my OCs Tamizh and Faiza, done on A3 paper, mostly using sketchpens and crayons. It's titled Young Love.
Tamizh (pronouns he/she) is a person of average size, brown skinned and with light brown eyes, blue-black hair. He has acne scars. Faiza is a fat woman, tan complexioned, with a unibrow and some facial hair on her upper lip. She is a hjiabi.
Faiza wears a blue hijab with yellow borders, decorated with a baroque design. She also wears a bright yellow dress with a lighter long skirt. Tamizh wears a red saree with golden borders and a peach blouse. She also has golden jewellery like bangles, anklets, nose ring, necklaces, earrings, rings. Her hair is tied up in a bun encircled with jasmine flowers. She is decorated with a simple mehendi design involving circles and dyed fingers, toes.
Faiza sits up high on a swing, blushing, smiling slightly and handing out a rose to Tamizh. Tamizh grins playfully, dancing. Her pose is such that she claps her hands sideways while kicking one foot forward, her saree spreading out under her.
The scene is surrounded by flowers drawn in simplified manner- on the left, where Faiza is, there are celosias, dahilas, carnations, petunias, blue jasmines, yellow roses, orchids, lilies. On the right, where Tamizh is, there are coriander flowers, morning glories, bougainvilleas, hibiscuses, indian mulberry flowers, Sarpakanda flowers, Madagascar periwinkles, winged-seed sesame flowers, a sunflower,a large caper flower, Spider dew-grass flora. Leaves are mostly in various shades of green, teal.
The background is lightly colored in green on either side and yellow in the middle where Tamizh and Faiza meet. End ID]
Talk under cut!
IDK I was just struck by impulse and sweet Tamil songs and I really wanted to draw them in such a romantic scene! I love my babies. Next time, I want to do some research and see if I can draw them in a specific area. But this one was quite fast and loose.

Notes on "Ambidextrous Angle" here

Notes on the colors on ep.10 here
Notes on the numbers on the car plae of No.3 and KMC here
The Flowers
@onomatopagu-et-cie brings up the "Great Maidesn Blush" and the bouquets of flowers KMC was holding in his nightmare in the analysis of ep.8 (and ep.9) here
These two things had intrigued me right from the start. Flower language and the mythologies behind them was always such an interesting topic to research thats why I sat down and started my research.
And quite honestly, it took me a LOT of hours to figure out which flowers they could potentially be because its just so blurry but nonetheless, I came up with a few types. Please keep in mind this is all just speculation based on intense observing, comparing of flowers and ceremonial (graduation, work, wedding etc) bouquets.
I marked the flowers with numbers and added pictures for comparison, so its easier to distinquish them when I talk about them and their meanings.

Flower 1 is most definitely a rose- tho I'm not sure what type as there are way too many which also makes it quite difficult to get behind the meaning of the flower. Tho we can base the meaning on the color shown which are orange, white and slight rosé/peach touch.

Orange- Enthusiasm, Energy, Passion
White- New beginnings, Innocence, Purity, Remembrance, Spirituality
Pink- Grace, Elegance, Gratitude, Appreciation
Peach- Appreciation, Sincereity, Gratitude
Flower 2 was a lot more difficult to make out, but my first guess was White Carnation. A friend guessed a White Peony- which in the end does fit the shape of the petals more.

White Peonies are usually used in bouquets for weddings- they symbolize faith, hope, purity and innocence. In general, peonies symbolize new beginnings.
There also are several interesting myths connected to peonies, one goes as followed:
"According to ancient Greek mythology, a divine drama inspired the name of the peony. Like so many stories, this one begins with war. Herakles, the greatest of great Greek heroes, and Pluto, the god of the underworld, find themselves on the opposing sides. During a spectacular battle, Herakles manages to wound Pluto with an arrow to the shoulder. Not being used to being wounded, the god of the underworld retires to Mount Olympus. When he can’t find the god of medicine, Asklepios, he asks one of his students to help him. This happens to be the talented god Paean. He heals the dishevelled deity by sheer talent and a new kind of medicine: a beautiful flower growing on Mount Olympus. Paean’s career as a great doctor is thus set but his teacher Asklepios is deadly jealous. Asklepios decides to murder his student to prevent further embarrassment. Zeus, finding the body of Paean, decides to honour the ambitious student by transforming him into the beautiful flower that saved Pluto’s life.
Flower 3 could be a yellow/orange Gerbera Daisy. The petals and the pistil (center part) look similar. They symbolise innocence, purity, cheerfulness and loyal love. Orange Geberas also convey that the person you present it to is the sunshine of your life. Besides, they also express your attachment with the person. They also are a rather common type of flower found in ceremonial (especially graduation) bouquets

In Egyptian mythology Geberas represent the closeness to nature (mother earth) and devotion to the sun. In Celtic Mythology Gerbera Daisies mean that everyday hardship and sorrow can be lessened and made sweet. It is believed, going by an old Celtic legend that God sprayed these daises over the earth when a child passed away, this was a way to give their parents a little joy. For Norse mythology, one of its legends states that Freya, the goddess of love, fertility, and beauty, has the daisy as her sacred flower.
Flower 4 is most definitely a Hibiscus (Syriacus). The petals are identical and so is the pistil. You can also see the trade mark color fade from a dark color to a light color on the petals. The color is a dark pink fading into a light pink. The pistil is yellow.

They are frequently linked to matters of the heart. Their vibrant, intense colors, particularly the deep red varieties, evoke feelings of love and passion. In some societies, giving a hibiscus flower to someone can convey a romantic message or symbolize the intensity of one's feelings.
The Hibiscus Syriacus is also the national flower of South Korea.
In Hindu mythology, hibiscus flowers accompany the goddess Kali, the goddess of power.
Kali is form of the Devi/Shri, the supreme mother in Hinduism. Devi was willed into existence by the gods, who each gave a piece of themselves to create her, and when she was fully formed, they—the gods—worshipped her in part because she was a perfect embodiment of all of them. This representation was somewhat self-serving: They had been at war with the demon king Mahishasura. During a break in the battle, Mahishasura declared himself Ruler of the Universe and began to march on Heaven to claim his prize with an army of demons. The gods created Devi out of the best of each of them to defend them, and gifted her with things that were sacred to them: Shiva gave her a trident drawn forth from his own, Vishnu a powerful discus, and Indra, the king of the Gods, gave her a thunderbolt identical to his own. Surya, the sun God, bestowed his rays on all the pores of her skin, and Varuna, god of the ocean, gave her a divine crest jewel, earrings, bracelets and a garland of unfading lotuses. So armed, she met the army of Mahishasura and slaughtered them. She met Mahishasura himself and killed him after a fierce battle. So great was her fury that though the fight had ended, she continued to rage through the battlefield. In giving her so many aspects, the gods had also given Devi many forms. Consumed by rage, Devi was had fully given herself over to an aspect of her personality tied to Kali, a goddess known for destruction. The gods realized they needed to stop her, but they were all were afraid. Shiva, the god of time and change (Kali’s male counterpart), went down to the battlefield, and laid down. Kali continued to dance until she looked down and realized she was stepping on Shiva. She was embarrassed because in that form, Shiva was a her husband. She withdrew her rage and to demonstrate her shame, stuck out her tongue, which is how she is often depicted.
-> The red hibiscus is representative of Kali's tongue. But should not be mistaken for her shame. The flower is a symbol of the blood lust that possesses her. With her representing a form of energy, this blood symbolism becomes life-affirming- it ties her to life force.
There also are two (?) flowers which seem blueish-violet.
Which kinda feels like a callback to the OST Part.3 (Blue by Aalia) and how a lot of scene set in the present between KSJ and KMC are submerged in blue tones
If my anaylsis is correct all flowers i managed to find out represent something along the lines of Love, Passion and Loyality which, if you would ask me, ties perfectly into the meaning of the Great Maiden's Blush mentioned in the first letter (by No. 1 Fan) dated June 4, 2019. The meaning of this flower is pretty on the nose "If you love me, you will find out" in the Victorian language of flowers.
The question I'm asking myself now is: Was KMC actually gifted this specific type of flower arrangement/bouquet or was it just something he made up in his dream? Dreams may represent things someone went through in real life, but they usually either add or leave things/details. Plus, Choi Jinsu asks "if he had that dream again"- which indirectly sounds like something isnt adding up with what actually happened that day his mother got killed.

Simple and Elegant Garland Ideas for Intimate Engagements
Engagements mark the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Whether you’re hosting a grand celebration or keeping it close-knit, details like garlands can make a lasting impression. Choosing the right garlands for engagement ceremonies—especially intimate ones—requires a perfect blend of tradition and simplicity. Here's a guide to help you find or create garlands that are both elegant and minimal.

Why Simplicity Works for Intimate Engagements
In smaller ceremonies, every element stands out more. With fewer guests and a cozy setting, elaborate decorations might look out of place. That's why minimal and elegant garlands feel just right—they harmonize with the warmth and closeness of the occasion. Simple floral elements can still reflect deep meaning and cultural richness.
A thoughtfully designed garland not only complements the couple's attire but also blends seamlessly into the theme. From soft pastels to subtle fragrances, every aspect of the garland adds charm to the moment.
Floral Choices that Speak Elegance
When selecting garlands for engagement, flower selection is crucial. Here are some timeless and simple floral choices:
1. Jasmine and Rose Combo
This classic combination is fragrant, delicate, and perfect for a close celebration. Jasmine's white blooms signify purity, while red or pink roses add a soft romantic touch.
2. Marigold Minimalism
Often used in Indian ceremonies, marigold garlands in single strands are vibrant yet not overwhelming. Choose soft yellow or orange hues for a bright but subtle look.
3. Baby’s Breath (Gypsophila)
A symbol of everlasting love, baby’s breath garlands are light and ethereal. They pair well with Western-style or fusion-themed engagements.
These flower combinations keep the look elegant without drawing too much attention away from the couple.
Color and Texture: Keep It Soft
For an intimate setting, soft and muted tones work best. Avoid overly bright colors that might dominate the visuals. Consider pastel pinks, creamy whites, blush peach, or even light lavender tones.
Incorporating minimal greens like eucalyptus leaves can enhance the overall appeal and offer a fresh, natural contrast. For textures, avoid heavy layers or thick clusters; go with spaced-out blooms or alternating patterns to maintain lightness.
If you're using garlands for engagement photos or rituals, ensure that the garland is lightweight and comfortable for the couple to wear for a longer time.
DIY Garland Ideas for a Personal Touch
For small gatherings, handmade garlands are a meaningful option. Here are two simple ideas:
• Threaded Petal Garland:
Instead of whole flowers, use petals of roses or marigolds and string them in a delicate pattern. It’s lightweight and unique.
• Minimal Pearl and Flower Garland:
Alternate small faux pearls with fresh flowers like roses or carnations. It looks sophisticated and suits both modern and traditional outfits.
Adding personalized charms or initials is a sweet way to make these garlands for engagement extra special.
Seasonal and Sustainable Choices
Choosing seasonal flowers ensures freshness and cost-effectiveness. It also supports local florists and reduces waste. Opt for biodegradable string or jute threads instead of plastic ones.
Another beautiful idea is to repurpose the engagement garlands into keepsake items, like pressing a few flowers into a memory book or framing a small piece of it as art.
These eco-conscious ideas resonate well with couples who want meaningful yet responsible choices.
Final Touch: Matching with Outfits
Ensure the garlands complement the engagement attire in color, scale, and style. A light saree or pastel lehenga goes beautifully with soft-hued garlands. Similarly, coordinated couple garlands enhance visual harmony in photos and during rituals. When chosen thoughtfully, garlands for engagement don't just accessorize—they symbolize unity, blessings, and the essence of the moment.

I feel better, so I decided to try an experiment/research. My WIP is set in a time and place where peoples' time is dictated by the natural cycles: Up at sunrise, break at solar noon, home at sunset, etc. I know people did and in many places still do live like that but I haven't since I was a farm kid in the 1900's. I want to feel what that's like. So, aside making sure my family is medicated punctually, I'm divorcing my schedule from the clock.
Dawn 6:50 am
Thank gods I'm doing this in November. If it was Summer, dawn's hairy crack would emerge at 4:00 and no.
I feel surprisingly refreshed despite getting up two hours earlier than I have lately.
Made my bed, knocked back my morning pills with a Carnation Instant Breakfast, freshened up, got dressed-ish, locked the cat in the bedroom so I won't have to chase her ass all over the Maine woods, and went outside.
Cold, gray, dreary. I took a slow, short walk then came inside; apologized to Ash (and my husband, who had to deal with her tantrum), and turned the kettle on for tea.
25-min. braindump, mostly on @supervillainsolarpunk, then sipped peach-vanilla tea while planning next week
General tidy, then lay down and played games until I got hungry and Husband made me a big bowl of scrambled eggs
Mid-Day 11:20 am
Spent too long sitting in my chair figuring out how time works in a practical fashion for people in the Midwest in April 2143; no surprise, I needed a stretch sesh and a nap after that
Dozed off listening to my playlist of Solarpunk videos on YouTube, letting it soak into my subconscious; woke up after a couple hours feeling good ...
Until I nearly fell down the stairs, tripped by a gray streak of greased lightning running for her life from the Vacuum Monster
Spent some time setting up @strangekindofstory which will be a Tumblr exclusive work of epistolary fiction beginning in December. Because I'm not doing enough things already.
Sunset 4:00 pm
Husband loves cherry pie. I love the flavor but not the texture of the filling. Bless the man, he ate the top crust and filling out of the pie and gave me the sweet, goo-covered bottom and edge crust.
Find a partner that gets you, y'all. 💖
Dinner was leftover chicken stew over rice. Nom.
Spent the evening at YouTube University mostly relaxing.
Night 9:00 pm
I usually start getting ready to go to bed at around this time, but I also usually dick around on the internet until after midnight. I can't do that if I'm going to start getting up at Dunwanna O'Clock.
Made chamomile mint tea, put the house to bed and did my devotions while it was steeping; sipped my tea and ate the pie crust while GYSTing for tomorrow and performing my ablutions
In the bed by 10:00 and I promise, electronics down and lights out at 11:00
Good night!
