Of course, since it’s dystopian it’s set way in the future, in America obviously, and maybe an international war is going on somewhere too. The government is hella powerful and corrupt. Autocracy maybe. The common person is suffering while the rich dgaf and thrive bc thats what they do

The characters! How can it be dystopian without a little bit of hecked up science? Mikami was genetically made to be the perfect agent for the government. He’s strictly based on logic and reasoning, doesn’t care if he has to choose the most fucked up choice and follows every order. He doesn’t feel emotions the way a normal person does, he can only mimic them. Since he was “created” by science he’s special, basically. He can run a little faster, more durable, blah blah.

However!! He’s the first one to ever be made like this, thus there are a lot of flaws in between the lines. A rushed prototype is what you’d call him.

Gevanni time! Steal from the rich and give to the poor kinda guy. He follows his own beliefs, a mix of using the head and the heart, and tries to avoid pointless violence. He’s in a group that conspires to take down the government and replace the elector. Bringing back democracy!! Because he’s a true American and hates how the country is now. But if anything, he just wants to live a quiet life.

Mikami is assigned to go undercover and infiltrate the group. There, he meets Gevanni and a few other people who share the same cause. In order to gain their trust, he kinda has to kill a few of the people he had worked for. Whoops..

The more he starts hanging out with them, he starts acting more “human.” And it terrifies him. He starts getting curious about his life before becoming an agent and wonders if there is anything more to life—and maybe there is, because a certain black haired blue eyed guy triggers these weird feelings inside of him.

One dayy, Mikami discovers that there was another experiment before him. A prototype who also had enhanced abilities. A prototype that did the dirty work behind the scenes but could somewhat feel emotions, not just mimic. A prototype that could regenerate missing limbs and heal instantaneously from bullet wounds!

And that prototype was Gevanni, who had realized that his fate was to be experimented on for the rest of his life. He escaped after witnessing such terrible things firsthand, and joined the group in order to put a stop to all of this.

After that discover, Mikami feels himself going rogue. Betraying what he was made for, feeling more and more emotions by the hour. He loves Gevanni and he absolutely hates it. Gevanni drills it into his head that if he returns to the government after completing his mission, he would get scrapped. Aka: experimented and tortured in order to develop the next prototype.

Mikami has a choice: either to complete his mission, or choose the man he loves.

Include some more characters, maybe a love triangle, and this is like a certified dystopian fanfic!!!
