Living in San Francisco!

So i don’t technically live in SF, i live in San Bruno. But when you’re from the UK a few miles doesn’t matter so much! It’s a neighborhood right near SF Airport and around the corner from my work! 

As this is an experience of a lifetime, i thought it would be a great idea to blog about all the different things i get up to, so i can use it as a diary of my adventures, and maybe inspire some other adventures too!

My mum has just flown home after 3 weeks of visiting us - it was her 1st time in the US so she had an amazing time. Now we’re getting back to normal and sorting our bad eating habits out (see my other blog - Whole30 foods!) as well as upping our activity and making the most of being here and experiencing things we would never have done before we moved to the US.

I remember last Christmas, taking a walk on Pacifica beach - on December 25th with a skirt & tank top on, and my feet in the water and sand between my toes. That was the reason i moved here (and for my job, of course!) but that in itself was amazing, just being able to do that when i’d usually be freezing at home in Leeds!

I’ll be mostly doing fun stuff on a weekend but i may add a blog or 2 about my job as a marketing manager, we’ll see how it goes!

We call it Fleet Week. The time of the year when US Navy cadets with their cute uniforms (yes, cute), walk around San Francisco, admired by most girls who, in all honesty, often like the uniform more than the guy. The highlight of the event happens on Saturday and Sunday, when the US Navy best, the Blue Angels, dance in the sky, above us children and adults, causing our admiration and creating an opportunity for camaraderie and community.
