一邊拉胚，我一邊感受自己手部肌肉的收緊與扯動，同時感受著土。

繃緊的肌肉拔著土向上長高，再向外擴張。因為以前大學時期用力過度，也沒多老手就半廢，沒有好好就醫，沒得推卸責任，也只能自行放慢腳步。

感覺到痛，就放鬆。還撐得住，就繼續拔高。不鞭打自己，時間拿來喘息。藉著這種與土互動的方式，也與自己的身體對話。

Art Feeds Man's Hunger

Man’s hunger for meaning and purpose leads him to profound philosophies. However, these philosophies aren’t enough to satiate his hunger. Hence, new philosophies emerge one after another. Fortunately, art feeds man’s hunger more than philosophies ever could. How so? Art expressions speak of things to man of matters that we often give so little notice about. Without obvious explanations, it allows him to reflect deeply on these matters. This state of broadened perspective makes man consider the things that never crossed his mind. In the hopes of finding answers, meaning, and purpose, men may just yet discover them through art. Seemingly Insatiable: Man’s Hunger and Art The thirst for knowledge and the hunger for 3 things namely answers, meaning, and purpose often frustrate man. This frustration can lead to existential nihilistic views. This philosophy highly breeds to cynicism. The exhaustion of seeking these 3 makes man accept the life of eternal hunger. Luckily, art touches a part of man’s soul. Art puts him in a meditative state that his pessimism and cynicism begins to shatter. Thereafter, his views on the world renew dramatically. Although art doesn’t fully satiate man’s hunger, it keeps him steady amid the confusions in life. “Life imitates art far more than art imitates life” —Oscar Wilde, The Decay of Lying This famous adage answers why man needs art to fulfill his ultimate duty, which is to seek the 3 things. The answers are in the art. Of course, it’s possible that the answer lies not in the personal interpretation of the artist. We could find the answer in a collection of subjective interpretation of an audience. Sometimes the answers lie in our personal interpretation of certain things. This is why art feeds man’s greatest hunger. The interpretation of man regarding an artwork defines him. That said, he comes across a crossroad where he may decide to refine his thinking or persist on his current belief—but, with a more critical understanding of it. We call this hunger seemingly insatiable because no one knows for sure if this will ever be sated. What really are these three things that we seek of? We have all the keys, but we don’t know which ones are for these three. Is there even a need to find them, or should we just find contentment in what we have now? Read the full article
