Delicious/I’m intrigued!: I love this ship so much, it can be so chaotic and messy, yet so so sweet and passionate and good. Kinda my otp tbh.

I’m picky about it: While I wouldn’t say I’m extremely picky on it, I definitely wouldn’t say that every interpretation of Oumota is a favorite. I especially don’t like toxic romantic relationships while they are dating (Messy as they try to figure things out? Yes, but also when they’re dating I expect this to be far less often.) I don’t particularly like abusive takes on my otps either.

I read fic/I would read fic: While I am picky about how the relationship is portrayed, I also loooove reading Oumota fic! I also write it. Where’ i the “I write fic” option?! But also the “I would read” option is highlighted because I mostly write fics, not really... read them dnjksdnsjak

Romantic/Sexual: Honestly these two kind of go together because I personally HC that once they both get over their awkwardness and guarded walls, the romance (and sex) would just. Skyrocket. Kaito is always very thirsty for his partners, fun fact, so if his partner is into it then he is 200% more into it. Games of chase end in Kaito pinning Kokichi to the bed and kissing him silly. They are very into each other and not at all shameless. This also does depend on the interpretations of Kaito and Kokichi of course, like--I wouldn’t want to see Kaito being nothing but a horndog while Kokichi is very sex repulsed. Boundaries are important!

Platonic/QPlatonic: This is more for rping than reading fics if I’m to be honest. Sometimes, two muses are just better as friends than as lovers, and that’s okay! It just depends. Personally I really only read ship fics that are romantic for these two/my otps. though qPlatonic can be a weird grey area that can mean a whole lot of things. Still!

Softly/Best Friends: If Kaito and Kokichi (or any relationship I ship actually) aren’t close friends while in a romantic relationship, then it doesn’t feel as realistic or at least as fulfilling. You should be close/best friends with your partner! Then again I’m aroace so what do I know xD. Either way, Kaito and Kokichi slowly letting their walls down, both trying to improve themselves and support each other as partners, both laughing and playing games they mutually enjoy... who wouldn’t love this kind of thing tbh? There’s something so good about seeing two best friends be soft and in love, even when it’s not spoken directly.

Soulmates-Soulmates Adjacent/Childhood sweethearts: There’s something really sweet about a first love lasting, and I think while it’s unrealistic, it’s just. Super romantic and sweet to grow up together and grow old together as well. Soulmates are similar, since you can have so many different kinds of soulmate AUs where they know who their soulmates are from the get go. There’s something fun about “the one and only” that I like to play around with and turn on its head a lot too, so there’s that xD

OTP: uh do you really need me to elaborate further because I think I explained a lot as to why I love this ship dnajdnjdsdknajksdas it really is my OTP, if I had to choose one. I’m so weak to rivals to lovers okay???? Okay.

Thank you for responding to the meme! I really do appreciate it, as it helps me connect with mutuals interested in writing with me. And when I’m mutuals with someone, I do want to write with you!

I can understand how post and reply length can be intimidating. But I want to say that, for the most part, please don’t worry about how much or little you write. As long as I’ve got something to reply to, it’s all good! And if I don’t, I’ll likely reach out directly to plot or ask questions about where to take the thread further. Plotting in general tends to help me when it comes to ideas and thread content, too (I really like plotting and connecting OOC! It definitely helps with IC interactions). But it doesn’t have to be an exact match for word count or number of paragraphs. Sometimes replies are longer, other times they’re shorter. It’s more important that there’s something to react and/or reply to, or introduce to the scene and story than making sure it’s a certain length.

The only writing style I have trouble working with are one liners or short, single paragraphs. I have trouble getting a handle on a muse (or someone’s interpretation of a canon muse) with replies like that, especially when it’s a single line of dialogue. Unless it’s a crack or non-serious/non-main thread verse thread, of course! Short posts for that type of content works great.

Though he still doubts he could lift Kokichi with ease...

“I-I don’t know about that, either... though I’d be lying if I said I also wasn’t curious about whatever is on top of that coin dispenser... ohhh, forget it.” He sighs, holding his arms out.

“Come on; I’ll just lift you up... long as you quickly grab it, it should be fine.”

She’d been hungry. Emphasis on been. 

With an almost meek motion, Toko halted her attempts in trying to reach for the plate Kokichi was hiding behind his back, hand falling limp by her side. A soft ‘tsk!” could be heard as her  gaze averting to the side. Jaw clenched tight. 

“I-I d-don’t have to deal with this...e-especially from a stupid g-gremlin like you...” Arms lifted once more, this time to wrap tightly around herself. Shifting uncomfortably, she wondered why she even bothered. She didn’t like to eat much in the first place. (Well, it wasn’t a matter of preference, more never having the appetite). 

“M-My fault for even coming out of my room at all...” That part wasn’t aimed at Kokichi, more so a mutter to herself, contemplating her poor life choices. It was always when she made the effort, wasn’t it? That’s when things bit her in the ass.

Himiko protested with a reluctant sigh. Even though she had not placed much effort into memorizing the whole handshake, the process looked complicated enough to make her brain squirm. The mage dropped her shoulders in defeat.

Kokichi could be. incredibly frustrating at times. Yet he could see him as he struggled, and it tugged at Kaito’s empathy ten-fold. It was to be expected, after they had gone through something as hellish as a killing game.

... Maybe Kaito had really shot himself in the foot by saying it like that, though. Sometimes he really had a way with words in the worst-ways imaginable.

“I mean--I just wanna go outside, that’s all. I heard the sky might be clear enough for us to see the stars. Thought it was better than being cooped up in this place, at any rate. We’d might even be able to get away from those... Future Founders, or whatever they’re called. Figured you would be too, so...”

Himiko was pretty sure those were not just three words. Without taking heed to it, she thought about how much she truly wished she had a costume transformation sequence like he suggested. Unfortunately, she was a normal girl with magic powers. One thing was clear: she was definitely a Hufflepuff.

   gripping his pen tighter, he nevertheless continued to jot down notes in his travel journal. he was quiet as he wrote, eyes not even leaving the page to look up quizically at ouma. was there a twisted sense of thinking that perhaps he wouldn’t give the other the satisfaction of seeing his masks fade? was that cruel, or just what he was used to?

   finally, he lifted his head to lazily stare into ouma’s eyes.  “ speak for yourself, ouma-kun, ” amami spoke lowly, though it was more neutral, not inclined to negativity or positivity,  “ maybe you should practice what you preach. ”

   he then gave ouma a flash of a smile, batting his eyelashes like he was innocent, and not guilty of hiding his own truths. he knew his classmate was perceptive and intelligent . . . you kind of had to be to spin such delicate webs of lies and half-truths. still, as long as ouma didn’t prod too much, amami would keep up the facade.
