(lord i swear i said I'll make it uncomplicated as possible, but i kept adding things so here we are and its not even as complicated as it could be)

Some ramblings under more:

>Emperor Huang De and Duke Su are brothers from same mother; Lian Zhan & Lian Xuan are born Empress' children,

>Lian Bai Ai and Lian Bai Wei are technically step-brothers, since they only share father - Lian Xuan; there are couple of more siblings but they're insignificant (in narrative XD) or dead already

>Lian Xuan was a crown prince, but died in battle before he could take throne

>Princess Yao is concubine born daughter, Prince Ning Bao is newly crowned Empress' son; Emperor Wenzong had a few daughers that are already married off, all his sons died (or were murdered ifkyk)

>Jiang Ningguang was a Crown Princess Consort for Lian Xuan, they never had any children

>Jiang Ningguang and Lian Hongyan at the moment are presumed dead, because their affair was revealed and they were supposed to die for treason (as you can imagine they did not die, moved countries and are living their best lives)

>for your consideration: Wu Chun Tian is technically a cousin to Lian Baiai and Lian Baiwei (because Lian Xuan and Lian Hongyan were cousins), but also technically their step sibling if you consider that Jiang Ningguang and Lian Xuan were legally married. wheze.
