You had just moved into a new part of the city with your mother. The move had been hard since you two had managed to escape the toxic environment with your alcoholic father.

Being the two to move all the things you could gather was very difficult. Everything was well planned, even a few of your friends had helped you store the things inside the moving truck but were unable to go with you two because the place you were to move to was quite far from here.

Your friends all bid your farewell because that may be the last time they would see you. However, a few of them warned you about the new district. He had said that there was a boy who lived there and was known to be a 'lady killer'.

They did not go into detail but you were afraid to scare your mom even more with knowing that a murdered was on the loose in the place where you two thought would be an escape. You just had to protect your mother even if it was the last thing you did.

The new house you were to make your home was a small apartment which you had to pay rent at every 28th of the month. It was not too cheap yet not too expensive as well. You probably had to take two jobs to help with the pay.

As your mother suggested that she would sort the things out inside the rooms, you in exchange would have to carry the boxes from the front yard to the house.

It was heavy for one person to do but you knew no one from this neighborhood so you were hesitant in asking for help. It was until this charming looking boy approached you with the brightest smile.

"You must be our new neighbor. My mother told me to bring in haidilao as a welcoming present." He said as he showed you the bowl in his hands.

You were still carrying the box so you just looked at him then at the box at your hand. He quickly picked up on the situation and grinned cheekily. "How about you put this inside and I can help you bring the boxes inside?"

"Thank you...ah.."

"Xikan. Li Xikan." He introduced as he placed the haiidilao on of the boxes and started to carry the boxes inside.

"Oh, who is this, y/n?" Your mother smiled as Xikan stacked the boxes by the corner of the house.

"I'm Xikan! Your neighbor. It's nice to see a new face in town." He bowed at your mom who simply chuckled. She introduced the two of you to your neighbor.

"Are you really alright with helping us, Xikan?" Your mother asked as more boxes were being piled inside with both you and Xikan carrying them in.

"No worries. It's always nice to be nice to people." It seem like he had lived by that motto.

Your mom shot you a glance as if she had approved of Xikan to be one of your friends. You nodded a little and filed behind Xikan as you tried to carry the last two boxes outside.

One of Xikan's friends, Chengcheng who you heard Xikan call quickly waved at him from across the street. It was until his eyes met yours that caused the taller male to grin mischievously at Xikan.

"Oh please don't.." you heard Xikan whisper.

"Don't what...?" You raised an eyebrow at him and was shaken when Chengcheng screamed.

"Lady Killer is at it again! You're already charming your cute neighbor while the rest of the boys aren't here to meet her!"

Lady killer? Li Xikan...the boy who had been kind to you all day...was the lady killer?

Wait a minute (woo woo woo woo woo woo skrr skrr), something sounded wrong. Did he just say that Xikan was charming you?

You looked at the boy next to you and he released a tired sigh. "Y/n...sorry. Please just ignore him.."

"A-ah...alright." you nodded before you and Xikan continued moving the last things you had inside.

Your mother told Xikan that he should have dinner over as a thank you for helping out in the move. The boy was just too kind that he also volunteered to help you out in washing the dishes.

As Xikan left the house, you saw Chengcheng saunter towards you with a playful grin. "So how do you like the lady killer?" He wiggled his eyebrows as you both watched Xikan disappear into his house.

"Why do you call him that...?" You asked out of curiousity and this only made the tall boy smile even smugly.

"You saw how he was today. Any lady would die to have someone do that to them and Xikan does it out of kindness. He basically kills them because Xikan has that kind of charm...yet, he still chooses not to go into relationships." Chengcheng hummed and you just nodded.

"So he does not actually murder women...the rumors were wrong from our town." You mumbled to yourself which made you chuckle.

"At this rate, I bet he'd kill you too with his charms." Chengcheng waved at you before he walked back to his house. "Will the lady killer finally bend for someone? I can't wait to find out..." he told himself, but making sure you could hear it.

You did not make much of it though, instead you whipped out your phone and decided to text your friends that maybe they understood wrong about the lady killer and how nice he actually was.

That night you were bombarded by messages in your inbox.

Is he handsome?

one day, zhou is running late from tutoring so he tells you and xikan to start walking home without him since he knows you guys have homework too

it’s kind of awkward and you keep your distance and walk ahead of him

you’re walking past a restaurant that serves the best milkshakes in town. you’ve always wanted to go with your current boyfriend but he’s too busy.

you sigh, looking inside when something catches your eye

you stop suddenly, causing xikan to crash into your side

“what the fuck?!” the older one scolds. “what’s wrong?” you don’t reply. his eyes follow your line of vision and suddenly, he understands.

without much else, xikan storms inside the restaurant, pulling your arm with him.

“what the fuck?!” he yells, stopping in front of your boyfriend. he was currently sharing a milkshake with someone else and they were holding hands. but, at the sight of you, he immediately stands and tries to apologize. xikan pushes his chest and shakes his head, “don’t talk to y/n, you dumb fuck.”

“don’t tell me what to do,” the other replies.

“how long have you been cheating on her?” xikan asks coldly, his hands curled up into fists.

it’s awkward and everyone is staring - you can feel it. you keep your eyes trained on the floor, urging the tears not to fall. sadly, one escapes and rushes down your cheek and onto the floor.

“babe,” the culprit of your tear whispers, reaching over to wipe them away.

xikan shoves him away, “don’t ever talk to y/n ever again.”

“or what?” the other seeths.

it happened so suddenly. one moment you’re standing in the restaurant. the next, xikan is shaking blood from your hand while you boyfriend ex boyfriend is holding his nose.

“this was just a warning. don’t you ever think about coming close to y/n ever again or else i’ll kick your ass.” with that, xikan grabs your hand and drags you out of there.

on the way home, there’s a small playground where he decides you two should sit

“are you okay?” he asks.

“i just found out my boyfriend of six months has been cheating on me,” you mutter. “do i look okay?” he sighs and takes his jacket off, swinging it over your shoulders. he scoots closer and forces your head onto his chest. “what are you doing?!”

“cry,” he says. “i know you want to.”

“not with you around!” you shove him away. “i don’t like you!”

he laughs, “really?” he ruffles his hair and crosses his arms, pouting. “and there i was punching a guy out in hopes it would make you like me back.”

and then the brat is kissing you. its slow and passionate and nothing like when your ex kissed you. he was gentle and his lips were a little rough but it felt nice.

an easy beat that could both be danced to and rapped over started, and one of jackson’s trainees came out to dance

it went back and forth between one of your trainees and one of jackson’s trainees, until all of them had gone

then jackson came forward, looked you dead in the eye, and started doing something that looked like an attempt at twerking? but it wasn’t really?

everyone burst out into laughter, of course, so when you stepped forward to deliver an incredibly stupid rap off the top of your head, everyone was laughing uncontrollably

when the music ended, jackson handed his mic to xikan

xikan looked over at you with a wide smile, “i think that (y/n) should be a rapper and a dancer!”

the room of trainees exploded into groans

“li xikan is whipped!” you heard someone shout, making you laugh even harder

as the segment wrapped up, xikan grabbed your hand, lacing his fingers with yours

A/N: Thanks for requesting, puppy anon. This one is a little shorter, but I hope you’ll still enjoy it just as much!

From a very early age, you’ve avoided going to Starbucks. It just pains you every time you step in and hear, “Welcome to Starbucks” in an extremely cheery voice. As time passed, you slowly begin to hate the place, only going when you absolutely have to. Actually, you used to love going there, until you realized that you may never find your soulmate. Everyone has the first thing their soulmate says to them written on their forearm in their soulmate’s handwriting.

“Welcome to Starbucks,” is messily scribbled onto your forearm and you begin to resent the sight of it every time you go.

There are so many Starbucks all over the world. Your soulmate might not even live where you live. Also, the handwriting isn’t necessarily the neatest and it looked quite similar to many other people’s handwriting. You frown at the thought of having to be soulmate-less forever.

Your friends all have more unique handwriting or interesting phrases on their arms. One of your friends had met her soulmate at a concert and she had gotten extremely drunk. She thought one of the concertgoers was the singer and asked the man to sign her shirt. Only then, she realized the handwriting on her shirt matched the one on her arm.

You laugh at the memory, but your smile soon faded at your own fate. You have given up on searching a while ago, planning to just live your life as it goes. You used to go to multiple Starbucks at different times of the day... every day. However, you soon decide that it wasted too much of your time and stopped last year.

You decided to simply focus on your studies and maybe go find your soulmate once you get out of school. As usual, finals are coming soon and so you have been staying up for at least three nights in a row now and your energy is draining quickly. You decide to get a cup of coffee to keep you awake for a few more hours.

Sleepily, you pack your laptop, notebooks, and textbooks into a bag and set out to the nearest Starbucks. You trudge your way through the busy crowd, cramming yourself in between the doors.

“Welcome to Starbucks!” a cheery voice shouts just as you enter.

You give a slight, tired smile to the fox-like boy who had welcomed you. Luckily, the line is short and you find yourself standing in front of the boy. You ponder for a few seconds before taking out your wallet and ordering.

“I’d like a black coffee, please. Thanks,” you mutter, not wanting to interact with anyone.

“Alright, that’ll be one-fifty,” the cashier nods.

You hand him the money, quickly glancing at his nametag. Li Xikan is neatly printed on and you put your wallet away, averting your gaze back to Xikan’s face. You lazily study his face, his features are sharp and fox-like. He is kind of cute, making you smile a bit.

“Oh and your name, miss?” Xikan asks, pulling you out of your thoughts.

“Uh, y/n,” you answer.

“Alright, I’ll be back with your order in a second,” Xikan gives you a small smile.

About less than a minute later, Xikan returns back to the counter, your coffee in hand. You thank him and take the steaming drink, searching for a seat. You find a small table in the corner and sit down. You take a few sips of your coffee, enjoying your time before deciding to begin studying again.

As you place your materials on the table, your cup shifts a little, revealing your name. You stare at it, the handwriting begins to look more and more familiar. You blink a couple of times before yanking your sleeves up, revealing your soulmate’s words.

The handwriting is indeed a match. You immediately stand up, abandoning your things and rushing back towards the door Xikan is heading towards. Right before he enters the staff room, you snatch his wrists and yank him around.

He looks at you with a shocked expression before looking at your bare arm, his eyes widening a little. He quickly pulls you into the room and closing the door behind him. The two of you stand in awkward silence as Xikan takes off his apron, putting it on a nearby table.

“Uh, you’re my soulmate,” you begin slowly.

“Yeah...I’m still trying to take this all in,” Xikan chuckles a little.

He takes your hand and brings your arm closer to his face, causing you to blush a little. You lightly tug your arm back and Xikan looks at you, his cheeks turning pink. He mutters a sorry before pulling you into a bear hug.

“Do you know how many people have ordered black coffee? I’ve been waiting every day, switching jobs from different stores to find you!” Xikan cries out, hugging you even tighter.

“Ah, me too. I used to go to all the different stores, hoping to find you,” you try to tell him, your voice drowned out by his fluffy sweater.

“Hey, Xikan. Have you--” a voice calls out, opening the door.

You and Xikan jump away from each other, staring at the other person in shock. You squint at his nametag, Yu Mingjun. Mingjun’s shocked expression turns into a smug one, a smirk appearing on this face. You blush profusely, creating more space in between you and Xikan.

“Oh, nice. I’ll leave you two alone,” Mingjun snickers before shutting the door again.

You vaguely hear him shout for some guy named “Luo Zheng” before turning back to Xikan who is rubbing the back of his neck, his face as red as a tomato. He turns back around to you before apologizing nervously.

“Hey, how about we go on a date once my shift is over?” Xikan offers.

“Sounds good to me,” you smile, looking down shyly.

Xikan puts his apron back on and opens the door, letting you out first. He closes the door behind him and squeezes your hand one last time before he is dragged away by his teasing co-workers. You slowly make your way back to your table and giggle at the sight of Xikan blushing. You see two of his coworkers pushing and pulling him around, giving him light nudges on the arms.

As you study, you keep peeking up to look at Xikan and you noticing him doing the same. Every time he would finish an order, he would look your way. When the two of you make any eye contact, both of you quickly look away, blushing.

You smile to yourself, glad you finally found your soulmate. Taking a sip of your black coffee, you turn the cup around to admire Xikan’s handwriting. For some reason, it doesn’t seem as messy as you had thought. In fact, you liked all the little loops and curves in his handwriting. Maybe, Starbucks isn’t so bad after all.

interesting that they focused on junhao for everybody. can understand he probably has the most different and struggle experience so probably more interesting for dramas sake lol im surprised they dont spend more time on shengen, considering his popularity.

wow the lyrics are so fitting for lin mo to scream LOL but also ay his vocals?! aw im glad they put in a little rap for shengen and akey! honestly was kinda hoping for more bc they havent had a proper stage together before and i feel like itd be awesome but also junhao and zhan yu vocalization at the end was on point!!

lol all the kids being like zhang pd’s words are so detailed and professional... sigh theyve been missing out until now 

im glad they really pointed out how each member of this team did well! they really all did a great job with each of their parts, and they each got a little part to shine, and when put together, it was a complete performance. im proud of them and happy for them!

aw.... i feel like we’ve been waiting so long to hear lin mo get complimented.... i feel like it’s been since qcyn namanana that we’ve been waiting for him to redeem himself and climb back up to the peak. ugh its been nearly a year and a half. im just so terrified of whats gonna happen next bc im way too skeptical at this point to expect this high to continue, esp with what happened after namanana last time......... but for now, im happy. relieved hes finally getting the recognition he deserves and im happy that hes happy. lol i was also half scared we were gonna get spirit of the knight-ed again with his pink hair (nightmare flashbacks to lin mo and changxi’s deletion from that perf) i dont think ill ever get over that :( i feel like as a lin mo stan, ive been trained to not keep my hopes up and to prepare for the worst bc hes the type of person who just always gets the short end of the stick, it feels like. 

aw the part when they go back to the waiting room and jin fan is waiting for them with an encouraging smile and the whole exchange of "帥的真的���的" "哇~可以吧" "我沒想到" "那必須的" our leader did them proud :’) 

ugh the part where luo jie calls them and tells them he can’t come back........ heart breaking. i can see why lin ran and xikan would be really affected. lin ran has been luo jie’s go-to since he left and knowing how their usual friendship involves making fun of one another and jokingly complaining about each other, it hits hard when lin ran says he cried his eyes out. it hurts that they didnt get to share the stage again before he left. xikan may not have shared the stage with luo jie during ip, but hes known him since then and has been with him through both rounds here. it interesting bc i feel like the namanana perf was very light hearted on qcyn but i cant see that happening here, esp with their outfits? 

aw shiwei and chaowen taking charge to raise their spirits :’) 

lin ran’s voice fits so well with this song wow! i really like his lines! also lol i didnt know xikan would have abs but okay and tbh im always hesitant about dances with props bc it always is so easy to look messy..... like every slight difference in angle in the way you hold your arms is immediately magnified 

and like sxl’s fan is obviously broken and having performed fan dances myself i know that that’s like the most annoying thing to happen on stage, and can be really difficult to deal with, even tho it happens ALL THE TIME with those types of fans ugh :( 

i mean its super kind of them to leave luo jie’s space empty for him, but its kinda weird to have parts of the audio missing sadly :( and also chaowen’s voice did something weird in the middle there, like its sounds weirdly weak 

wait didnt yixing tell them to close the fan? but they didnt? 

xikan’s facial expressions are perfecttt, good for him! wish they gave more screen time to shiwei during shiwei’s lines lol... but also i cant help but hear lin mo’s voice during that part LOL ugh speaking of which i miss that team dynamic namanana team a on qcyn HAHAHAH hwx being a brat and fjj running around wild and lin mo giving up on them all just laughing like idiots for hours on end while bo yuan just judges them from a corner LOL i love the beginning of the wenxuan and lin mo friendship good times :’)
