my use of Felix and Li's names are based straight up from a fandom wiki, which I knew it was fake because... c'mon those names are very cool. I have noticed that, even tho mk9 to give Smoke a name, they didn't gave one for the cool robot dudes. On my instagram I was making a series of redesigns to use for my au, went from my favorites Bi-Han and Tomas then followed with Cyrax and Sektor...yet I always had one single issue with it: I don't know how to pick names, yk every struggle anyone with an oc faces. I was on my search for names until I came across that fandom wiki which- interested me a lot.

Figured I'd pop in and ask you this question:

So I'm writing some lore for my oc and I was wondering if you had any sources for how Bi-Han is as a brother. The thing I'm working on is supposed to be angsty given what Bodaway's backstory is, but I'm afraid that with what little I know about Bi-Han I might accidentally make him into a complete prick. Like I want there to be some tension and distance between my oc and Bi-Han but like not to the point of Bi-Han being ooc if that makes sense?

You don't have to answer this right away, as I understand you've got a lot on your plate. I know I've already said this, but I do hope things get a bit better for you ^.^

Hello love! So, I have a couple posts I’ve made in the past about this that I’ve mentioned it before here, here, here, here and here.

I feel very strongly that at least in Midway and NRS timelines not including MK1 (2023) Bi-Han was a fiercely protective yet asshole of a brother, the type to pick on Kuai Liang himself but kick anyone else’s ass who tries to start anything with his little brother. I’ve often rambled that Bi-Han protected Kuai Liang growing up and would often confess to misdeeds Kuai Liang was actually responsible for because he didn’t want his little brother to suffer. I personally headcanon Bi-Han has a pretty scared up back from being beat with bamboo (which was a common punishment in Imperial China) so often when the brothers were growing up. I don’t think you have to worry about making him too much of a prick because short answer he is one, long answer he’s a prick but he has good reason to be one. He’s the oldest, he has all the responsibilities and burdens that come with being the oldest brother as well as the Grandmaster’s grandson (their Grandfather is Grandmaster before Sektor’s father takes over which leads me to believe in the older time lines Papa Zero is dead, it’s unclear if Bi-Han did it or not). He’s treated and raised differently than Kuai Liang is, he’s raised to be crueler and colder than Kuai Liang because he should be the next Grandmaster or at least that was the game plan until Papa Zero dies. Bi-Han most likely had to kill their Grandfather or their father or maybe both in order to become the next Sub-Zero and to do that he has to kill his emotions at a very young age but he doesn’t want Kuai Liang to be the same way. So, he makes sure he’s always the bad guy so Kuai Liang doesn’t have to be, he always takes care of things. He’s a very dedicated and hardworking individual and had to step into the role of both big brother and father figure for Kuai Liang. They’re all each other had until Tomas joins the Lin Kuei and suddenly Bi-Han finds himself with two little brothers to look out for and protect.

I base a lot off this off of how desperate Kuai Liang is to find out what happened to Bi-Han in MK9 and in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms (which isn’t really canon but it’s kharacter building so we’re gonna use it) he absolutely sobs about the loss of Bi-Han. You do not hunt down someone or sob about a loss if you don’t genuinely love and care about that person. So, that solidifies to me that Bi-Han was an excellent older brother or else Kuai Liang wouldn’t have hunted Hanzo down, he wouldn’t have been in tears fighting his brother’s killer, he wouldn’t be distraught with grief and loss and wouldn’t live on in his brother’s place if Kuai Liang didn’t love and genuinely admire Bi-Han. A bad older brother doesn’t get that, a bad older brother gets a “oh pity, did he leave a will?” I actually have another piece that touches a bit on their relationship but implies they were actually twins which you can read here. Bi-Han is an asshole yes, but he’s also a good brother, you can be both, my brothers are great examples of this. They are absolute assholes to each other and occasionally to me but still would do absolutely anything for any of us. They teased and bullied me growing up just like Bi-Han teased and bullied Kuai but they covered up for me when I got in trouble just like Bi-Han covered up for Kuai Liang.

Bi-Han is a very complicated, layered asshole, he’s not just pompous ego and bravado. If you haven’t watched it I would really recommend watching a play through of Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero it gives a really good idea on Bi-Han’s attitude of asshole but reluctantly does the right thing when he needs to. The story mode for MK9 is also helpful to see his attitude as a kharacter but unfortunately there’s really nothing showing Bi-Han and Kuai Liang together. So all we have to go off of is how Kuai Liang reacts to Bi-Han’s death. Bi-Han as Noob Saibot famously tell Kuai Liang that “we share blood but we are not brothers” because Noob Saibot is Bi-Han stripped of every positive feeling and emotion. Kuai Liang parrots his back to him in MK11 so they very much have a strained relationship after Bi-Han’s death but not while he was alive, I refuse to believe that.

Basically it’s up to a lot of interpretation because we don’t see any of their childhood or them even interacting with each other but I have written a lot on my take about their relationship. Like I suggested though if you haven’t already, please watch Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, Mortal Kombat 9, Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle or the Realms and feel free to ask or DM me any questions you have. I’m also more than happy to give you my discord username if you’d rather chat there but I’m more than happy to chat about all things Bi-Han and Lin Kuei and discuss how their kharacter progression looks like.

That invitation is for anyone in the fandom if they have any Sub-Zero Bros or Lin Kuei questions, I’m not Boon or Papa Tobias but I have been playing the games since 1992 and have a very good grasp of the lore. I also love what if situations and extrapolating logical conclusions to those situations and think about Bi-Han basically constantly. I’d much rather you lovelies come to me than try and google things and wind up on the weird fan wiki that says Bi-Han is 36 when he’s 32 and gives Sektor and Cyrax fake names, spoilers Felix is NOT Cyrax’s name, it’s just a made up fan name used by this sketch ass wiki same with Sektor, they don’t have canon names. Bi-Han, Kuai Liang and Tomas Vbrada are the only canon names for the love of the Elder Gods stay off this cursed fanmade wiki. Please. Also, I’ve said this before too but please, please don’t make the mistake of thinking Liang is a surname, it isn’t, Kuai Liang is his full first name, just like Bi-Han is his complete first name, the Sub-Zero brothers do not have a canon last name. Only Tomas has a canon last name in the Lin Kuei.

Ok I think that maybe answers your question, hopefully I know there was some powerful rambling in there. There’s a lot of stuff to sort through so like I said if any of you lovelies have questions please feel free to ask me.

@den-kunn I’m tagging you in this because I’ve seen you use Felix for Cyrax and if that’s a personal choice than by all means go for it but I don’t want you to be mislead by that fan wiki and think it’s his canon name when it’s not. I’m just trying to look out for you if you don’t want me to though that’s totally fine just let me know. I’m not trying to police anyone or anything I just know that fan wiki is notorious for spreading the wrong information and I don’t want you lovelies getting confused or mislead by the misinformation that wiki spreads. Because there are mean people out there that will start shit over the small inaccuracies and I don’t want any of you lovelies getting chewed out because this stupid fan wiki made something up.💙

So about my confessions

Yes, most of them are Lanling Wang related. I love him very much but I hate loving him. You know why? Because lostbelt 3 is a mess and Urobochi has made his writing shitty over the years. You know who hogs all the screen time? Almost everyone else. Not Qin Liangyu. Not Li Shuwen. Not Han Xin. They get thrown out too. It's really Xiang Yu, Yu Meirin, Spartacus, Jing Ke, and QSH who get it but not a prince who cares for his people or a female general who just wants to live in a peaceful world.

I wish LB3 had a different writer. Seriously. One who values ALL the characters before killing them. Not one who just kills characters for no reason other than shock value.

Or maybe one day when FGO shuts down for good, someone will make a PC version rewritten with the Lostbelt being less shitty or not shit at all. Something like Camelot where all the characters who died all had stellar moments before then and weren’t forgotten. Not just that but Septem and Agartha are trash and should be overwritten as well.

but if big nezha is based off ao bing’s model, and i don’t think ao bing has freckles, then big nezha probably doesn’t have freckles either since it looks like they have similar skin textures and some people lose their freckles as they grow older

they almost could be twins, except aobing has bigger ears that stick out, bigger nose too. they generally have a similar shape with numerous subtle differences.

also, for something that’s only three years old, he’s pretty massive. do dragons grow really fast? is there some magical component making him grow that large, or is ao bing purely chomping on plenty and plenty of food while he’s down at the ocean?

maybe that’s why li jing didn’t want ao bing at the birthday party, cause he’d hog all the food

Chapter 6 - Confronting the World

Shortly after Jingyu's emotions spilled over, they both decided to lay down for a nap. They felt exhausted, knowing that the emotional drain and stress can make someone feel like they just ran a marathon. As soon as their heads hit the pillows, both were out. Weizhou on the left, Jingyu on the right - with Weizhou characteristically curled up in a fetal position hugging his whale.

After an hour, Jingyu awoke feeling recharged. He glanced down to look at Weizhou soundly sleeping, and chuckled to himself. Little did their fans know how gut-busting funny it was to him that they assigned a cat persona to Zhou Zhou. Sure, it made sense from the point that Zhou supported cat charities, and was an admitted cat lover. But the real funny part was what he was witnessing that moment: Weizhou's habit of emitting a soft purr when exhaling as he slept. He would inhale through his nose, mouth closed. And exhale half way through his nose, and then his lips would part and exhale the rest of the way. Rinse, and repeat. And those lips, so cute popping open, then closed....

He had told Weizhou about it after their first night together while filming, and Zhou wasn't sure how to take the news from this guy. It's now a little part of his Zhou that he cherishes, when he can catch it happening.

He then reached out to gently caress Zhou's cheek. He didn't want to wake him, just gently touch him, to feel if he was truly real. It was hard to believe this was happening. Sometimes, he even can't believe how much he's accomplished himself. Deep down, he still views himself as the humble kid from the boonies. These last nine months have been such a whirlwind, yet, they've been little league training compared to what the future holds. And he was ready to risk it all for love, but at the same time, wanted to protect and ensure no harm came to Weizhou.

Weizhou's eyes slowly opened. He smiled when he realized Jingyu's hand was on his cheek. He kissed his fingers, and reached out to cup Jingyu's cheek. This man, with such a deep-thinking, caring personality... how did they get to this point?

Jingyu smiled, and got up to go to the restroom, leaving Weizhou to his thoughts. His mind wandered back to the first moment he realized he was falling for Jing. They had been rehearsing the movements for the intimate scenes, and it was a late evening. Jingyu was in a deep discussion with the director on where Gu Hai was coming from for a scene. Weizhou was getting bored just waiting, and was having fun hogging the camera while Chai was trying to film for behind the scenes footage. Then he had suddenly felt a hand pull him back, and ended up laying in Jingyu's lap. Jingyu continued to concentrate on the discussion, but Weizhou had felt mischievous and started banging his head into Jing's chest. Jingyu casually grabbed Zhou's head by his chin to make him stop. It was such a natural move, forceful, yet gentle... loving. The action was imparted in only the way that Jingyu could do. Weizhou became lost in thought about how nice it was to be in Jingyu's arms, and to be touched that way.

Jingyu returned from the restroom. "What are you thinking about?"

Weizhou was on his phone, pulling up the video. He showed it to Jingyu. "Do you remember this?"

Jingyu chuckled. "I do. You were being such a brat, I had to pull you down and make you behave."

Weizhou smiled, and paused the video at the spot right after Jingyu had held his chin. "This is the moment I started falling for you."

Jingyu looked at Weizhou and smiled. "Did you noticed that I started touching you more and more after that? I couldn't get enough. I had to feel you. Just like earlier, before you woke up."

Li Hao and Zheng Ge returned, looking exhausted, yet enthusiastic. They had been meeting with media contacts and friends in the industry all day. When Weizhou and Jingyu finished filling them in on how the meeting went with the DCU chief, Li Hao broached the subject of what they had decided as a path forward.

Weizhou spoke first. With a deep breath, and a glance at Jingyu, "We think it may be better to proceed without making that decision yet. Let the events and circumstances play out and make the choices along the way."

Li Hao murmured that taking that route would concede the initiative, and they would be stuck having to constantly react, instead of controlling the issue. Unsurprisingly, the PR/manager didn't like that idea. But Zheng Ge saw some benefit in it. Without the boys telegraphing their intent, it kept their enemies guessing. Eventually all four warmed to the idea.

Li Hao said, "The other benefit to going this route is without directly addressing it publicly, it would be hard for the authorities to issue bans or edicts. So what if you two just started appearing together in an unofficial capacity? As long as the joint appearances aren't part of any work or publicity events, there's very little argument to be made against you."

Zheng Ge's brows furrowed, "So are you suggesting we don't have a press conference, or perhaps even a press release, about the hacking?"

"Not at all. Give me a few hours, I'll come up with a draft." Li Hao was pacing, excitement about his idea had reinvigorated him. Weizhou had seen this often in Li Hao, and usually it meant a stroke of brilliance was about to be revealed. He gave Jingyu a smile and a squeeze of his knee, and got up to grab a drink in the kitchen.

Once Li Hao saw everyone was almost done reading, he started in with his reasoning, "It doesn't address the subject matter of the leaked texts, while it tacitly concedes the messages are true.. It conveys that Timmy and Johnny are law-abiding citizens that deserve their privacy too, and humanizes them. It reminds others that they are involved in charity work. And it tells their fans that they would like to proceed with working, should there be any ban or edict that is issued or enforced."

Jingyu and Weizhou nodded. Zheng Ge slapped Li Hao on the back, "I like it. We put this on the wire, Weibo, and link it in Twitter simultaneously. And I even think in an hour - at midnight - would be the best time. Let that socialsphere rapidly circulate it everywhere, for the morning news hour."

Li Hao added, "And in a couple of days, the boys can each film a short video thanking their fan base and letting them know they are doing well."

So, it was decided. Weizhou and Jingyu took a deep breath and stood up. They knew the last 36 hours of silence from them was torture for the many that supported them. It was finally good to be able to respond, and Jingyu could see it in the way Zhou Zhou had more pep in his step. They both retired to their room, and changed into comfortable lounging clothes.

Weizhou had settled into the overstuffed chair near the window, pulling down apps and working on getting his new phone back to the normal state it was used to. Jingyu was laying across the bed on his stomach, browsing online with his laptop. He had wanted to see the initial responses to the press release when it hit. Weizhou started humming a tune he had been working on, slowly settling in on a melody that he had been revising. Jingyu took the moment to casually ask, "So, wanna get a place together?"

Weizhou stopped humming, and looked at Jingyu and smiled. The stress of the recent issue, he realized, had kept him from thinking about such things. The logistics of a relationship. Setting up house.

"Do you think it's wise to go buy a place?"

Jingyu shook his head no. "Who says we have to buy? I don't think we should establish firm roots like that, with the way things are. But we could rent a place."

"Yes. I want to." smiled Weizhou. Jingyu smile in return. "Makes things real, no?"

"It does. Yet I'm excited and hopeful, not scared." Weizhou replied.

"Me too, babe. Me too. Besides, it makes Gu Hai feel wonderful if you're living with him." Jingyu grinned.

Weizhou laughed loudly and threw a small pillow at Jingyu. "You big dork!"

*Ding!* A text arrived on Weizhou's phone. Jingyu's eyebrow went up inquisitively. Weizhou smiled and said it was from Chen Wen, and read, "Hey, I just saw the press release."

"Yeah, it was good to finally respond."

"Is it safe to message you here?" Chen Wen asked.

"Yes, the DCU confirmed that my new phone was set up securely."

Weizhou could see Chen Wen start and stop a reply several times. Finally a message came through: "Are you and Jingyu......staying together?"

"Yes, he's here in the room with me."

"No, I meant are you going to continue the relationship?" Chen Wen replied.

Weizhou read it and hesitated. Jingyu, watching the interaction play out on Weizhou's face, asked, "What?" Weizhou told him.

"Chen Wen's figured out we're in a relationship... though after the leaks, and the way he knows us, it wasn't hard to figure out."

Jingyu's face was solemn. "True. I miss those two. I have an idea, can you send me their numbers?"

Weizhou transferred Chen Wen and Lin Fengsong's numbers to him. "What are you going to do?"

"You'll see." Jingyu replied, while wearing his naughty smirk.

After a few moments, a text arrived. It was from Jingyu, to all three guys:

"Yes, Zhou Zhou and I are in a relationship. I love him deeply. And if anyone has a problem with that, I'll beat them up. -Gu Hai"

Weizhou's face lit up with his laughter. A reply came in.

Chen Wen: "GOOD. FENG AND I WERE UPSET THAT YOU WERE BREAKING UP!"

Lin Fengsong: "Chen Wen was. I kept telling him you two were fine. He's crying on my shoulder."

Jingyu's laugh could be heard across the floor.

funfact before we start, if we exclude CMZ(bcs wtf. you are not 124 y/o CMZ), the average age of LG actors is 28 while the average age of CXS actors is 25 (I didn't take their birth month into account so give or take one)

The oldest being Du Guangyi at 34 y/o and the youngest being Jing Yangqiao at 20 (21 this April).

79. 21/03/2024, he once did overhead, now Wu Yihan is doing hip-height RPS, and he cheated. Shu Rongbo being confused. And they once again give the cutest hug, even for a side hug.

80. 23/03/2024 day, very fun performance with Wang Yifei, Zhu Hanbin, and Deng Xianling. I highly recommend watching this. It's so fun I wrote a whole post about it. Also, harmonizing.

81. 22/03/2024, very short but look!! A Jing Yanqiao clip!!! I'm happy, I recently brainrotted on him. I wish he could perform more since I really like his voice but unfortunately I'm pretty sure he's still in school and have a limited schedule. But I will make you all love him before his BDay!

Today's bonus clip is a voice reel of Du Guangyi as Enforcer from the game Arknights! It's very soothing, I can fall asleep to his voice. He's so cool, he's an actor in everything. Musical actor, stage-play actor, TV and films actor, voice actor, he was a child actor too.

But since that's not a musical and it's kinda cheating, here's an actual bonus clip of Zhu Hanbin in Dr. Bloodthirsty (? 嗜血博士) musical. A small 3 person play which is giving me Jekyll and Hyde vibes. He's playing Jonathan, a young psychologist called to examine patient 13. It's really cool, please check it out!
