Vent sobre comprensión lectora y cultura de internet (ningún hecho puntual)

Me da lata cuando alguien trata de decir "oye sabías que X aplica para Y?", y sabiendo quién postea y sobre el tema podrías inferir que tan ampliamente aplica el post, pero porque muchos de nosotros tenemos Irony Poisoning+Terminal Posting Decease terminamos buscándole la 5 pata al gato para decir "oye te olvidaste de Z Ctm" y ganar la conversación por tener más información o algo asi

Lo menciono porque me he encontrado a mi misma teniendo discusiones por el gusto de contradecir o "ganar" la discusión, y aunque muchas veces lo hago de forma irónica/bromeando con amigos, han habido momentos donde lo hago de puro pedante y no me gusta eso :/

Finalmente creo que quiero recordarme a mi misma que no todas las conversaciones son pruebas de intro al álgebra donde si hay una sola posible contradicción entonces lo que dice la otra persona es inválido, y es hasta posible tener conversaciones con información incompleta, e incluso agregar a la conversación de forma respetuosa en ves de insultar ("oye interesante ejemplo, que opinas de Z? Yo creo que etc etc etc")

Happy happy birthday to Ponzi, who turns two today!

Ponzi, Punchie, Punchie Pie, Bunchie Baby, Miss Squidge, Squidgey is truly turning into the best dog. Not a day goes by that I don’t laugh at some antic or another and she is the sweetest girl in the world.

In the past year she’s earned 13 points and all her majors towards her AKC Field Championship despite very limited running. She’s also earned her first GRC points in LGRA. We’ve tackled a challenge course together and continued to work on our show ring skills.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish in the next year and then each one after that for as long as possible 🩷

(This is wyrddogs) I didn’t want to derail the post but I saw your comment that non-sighthounds can’t lure course because it’s dangerous. My club offers racing and lure coursing to non-sighthounds under LGRA/ AOK9 rules. I’d love to hear your thoughts/opinions on the dangers to non-sighthounds. (Asked in good faith for the potential for a respectful discussion.)

I'll happily answer as I know the question is in good faith, but if anyone tries to stir anything up - you'll be blocked!

So here's the thing: sighthounds were bred to hunt in packs. They've always hunted in flights. Are some of them going to resource guard? 100%. But because they're bred to hunt in groups, they tend to know how to run better together on a field and are less likely to have resource guarding issues. I think it's a horrible idea to put a pack of like, border collies, together to race and course. They're not bred for it so their runs won't be as safe, many of them are resource guarders, etc. Racing is probably safer, but I see safety issues with the idea of coursing and racing non-sighthound breeds. I love all the single-dog activities, like CATs and LCI, but running them in groups is asking for trouble.

Edited to add that it does NOT test athleticism to see what off-breed dogs course, which is what AOk9s website says is the purpose. Not the purpose of coursing - it's to test hunting ability. It's sort of a silly approximation...but that's a really dangerous way to "test athleticism" imo. Putting a bunch of pitties on a field to compete over a resource is a bad idea.

i am so very very proud of how keen edi is. a hush literally came over the field when she practiced. seventeen weeks old and she’s faster and more focused than her dam. 😂 she is the tiniest of specks, but her confidence and spunk are absolutely to die for.

I was having a pretty bad day today but abhi randomly reel popped up on my insta of this song and den bhai, nostalgia hitting hard 😭 but never the less made me like happy reminding me of old gold days.

I did a dance performance on this song when i was in 5/6th probably and bhai vo sb yaad krke kafi accha lgra ab.

But my main concern is bhai ye song p kya dance hua hoga like kya kiya tha bhai maine?🤡💀

Sorry for the lack of updates. I had a dog show this past weekend and spent last week getting ready for it and then this week recovering from it. It was a good show though, my boy took BOS and OH BOB at the Turquoise Trail Borzoi Club specialty on Saturday under an esteemed breeder judge - beating a bunch of really nice dogs including one of the top dogs in the country for that win. Totally shocked me, I expected to be dumped all weekend 😂 He now just needs two points for his grand championship! Hopefully we’ll get those two points this fall and then it’s on to lure coursing and maybe some LGRA straight racing. Hoping he can get his field championship to become a dual champion - he certainly loves chasing that plastic bunny so fingers crossed! He is also my absolute heart and soul, the love of my life. My first borzoi, my first show dog, my first AKC champion, and I have had such a blast with him.
