wow, this felt nice.

it felt good to have control of what he was to perform for once, and when given the chance for his solo stage max knew he needed something that ... screamed max choi. so what does he decide to do ? rap a song all about having a good time, living without worries, and having no regrets. better yet ? the chorus was catchy as hell, and he felt confident he could carry the whole song on his own. the nerves were for backstage - and there was no room for them anymore. looking forward to the crowd in front of him, he grins. the anticipation is deadly, but once he’s on stage ? the attention energizes him, and as per routine goes, he yells a “ let’s get it ! ” into the mic before starting.

play this song and bounce, it’s your favorite song, get down.  on repeat for, 1-2-3-4, 5-6-7-8 hours.

the sound of the beat causes max to sway with the rhythm, feeling the music as the opening  verse starts. rarely does he feel this invigorated, so if any song was to introduce everyone to max choi, this one would be it. it’s casual but fun beat allows him freedom, having some time to interact with the crowd, as he’s always dreamed to do.

it’s no surprise max loves to be the center of attention as he stands on stage, basking in the sense of being the star, grinning to the audience as he makes his way across the stage. he even beckons them to sing along with him. sure, this isn’t his concert, and some of the audience members might not even know his name. but for max choi, standing up on that stage, on his very own ? you couldn’t tell him he wasn’t the rapper of legacy.

this particular verse of the song lets him use the foreigner card, the verse using a play-on of a konglish word to rhyme with the korean. it only makes it more ... him, a near half and half blend of canadian and korean after living here for a year. though the english may wow some viewers, but to him, it’s the korean he’s most proud about - practicing enough that he was now able to rap and keep a flow while speaking in his second language. while it wasn’t foreign to him, it definitely was harder, and he couldn’t help but be proud of himself for his growth.

though max still is no dancer,  he has gained a better control of his body, not feeling quite so awkward as he does a fun freestyle between lines. he also has to thank seojin, for even though this song’s slight vocals are very forgiving, he would’ve probably squeaked with nervousness if it wasn’t for the fear that seojin might hunt him down and claim his hard work was for nothing. so he keeps going, keeping a cool front, though there is a slight feeling of anxiety. were they smiling ? singing along ? enjoying it ? max can’t entirely tell.

with his contacts out and the blinding flash of lights in his eyes, he can hardly see right in front of him. but beyond that, max tried not to look too hard at faces, anyways. then, the nerves might kick in, and he liked to pretend that some distant seat in the back was someone he cared for cheering him on. depending on the day, it changed - sometimes it was hunji, recently he’d imagined yeseo, but most often, as was today, he envisioned his parents. the ones who never saw him, shining brightly on stage, proving that he could become something of himself. he gives a special smile to the seat he’s claimed for them in the back, and as his mind starts thinking of them, he feels himself grow sad. no, no, no. you gotta finish strong, max. keep going, keep going. you’re doing so well.

he takes his sadness and quickly turns it to his fuel, the lyrics perfectly mirroring his situation. max has commonly acknowledged that “ what happens happens ”, nothing that’s already happen can be changed, so he had to make the most of it. the second portion of the lyrics he isn’t quite as enthusiastic about reciting, but deep down he knows it’s true - crying a little helps, and it is a good reminder that we’re all really human.

the last verse, he gets his stamina back, allowing himself a metaphorical power-up as he yells the words into the mic. he can go wild with this part, assuring those who are willing to listen that it’s okay to do things for yourself, and act on impulse. that was both the idol and the person max choi speaking, desperate to live in a reality that was all in favor of himself and his own needs. he finishes the song with a “ woo ! ” of accomplishment, just almost slamming the mic to the floor as he lifts a victorious first in the air. he sees someone laugh in the front row, and it makes him let out a small chuckle of his own. being on stage, doing something he loves, makes him realize just how much he wants this. for once in his life, he’s realized this really is his dream.

     after filming for all their shows and preparing for the tour, jiho had noticed that @lgcharu had become slightly quieter than he was before. the younger had always liked to annoy him—out of love, he knows, because he annoys him in return—but it had been turned down many a notch since then. honestly, he hadn’t noticed at first because he was busy worrying about a certain someone being on tour with them but after performing and practicing and travelling, he’s become a bit more concerned with his friend. 

     so on their free time, with permission from the manager that he was, unfortunately, staying with, he had dragged the younger out of the hotel and into the streets of japan. he had never been here before, so he definitely wanted to look around and explore. hopefully haru would be up for that, but his first plan of attack is to take the younger to the nearby convenience store for lunch and ice cream. 

     ice cream always made everything better. even if haru didn’t tell him what was wrong, hopefully the ice cream would help cheer him up a little bit. hopefully. 

     “i heard that the convenience stores in japan are even better than the ones in korea,” he starts as they walk to the nearest one, happily opening the door and stepping inside. “i want to try the onigiri here,” he comments, more to himself than to haru but aloud so the younger would be able to respond if he wanted to. 

     he claps his hands together once they’re standing in front of the packaged food section, his eyes bright as he glances over everything. “wow they even have sushi? i bet it’s good,” he comments, looking very pleased about the selection they had in front of them. he wanted to make sure they had both eaten before he really asks what’s wrong. “i exchanged more money than i think i’ll need, so this is my treat okay? choose whatever you want!”

with how busy the project origin participants now are, calling a meeting is getting difficult, this is why KIM HYUNCHEOL shows up at the end of the musical rehearsal on sunday, JULY 5.

“hi kids,” he greets them. “you’ve been rather busy for the past two months. the results, so far, have satisfied us.” there’s obviously no group scolding coming today. “as you know, the fanmeeting tour is beginning in august. we’ve secured locations with 5000 to 9000 places and we’re proud to announce that the tickets are almost sold out.” hyuncheol and the rest of the staff present begin clapping to congratulate the group of young adults.

“we’ve sent you emails with the TOUR SCHEDULE ( boys / girls ), the SOLO PERFORMANCES, the ROOMING ARRANGEMENT ( boys / girls ) and NEW LYRICS DISTRIBUTION ( tba on july 12). you should already have in hand the SETLISTS ( boys / girls ).” he explains. “during the period of the tour, unless you have schedules, you may use all your days off to rest, you are not required to show up at the company to rehearse”

while the news might seem exciting for the rookie idols, hyuncheol isn’t done yet. “during the tour, you will be closely watched by your managers. we don’t want different gender trainees hanging out and about during this period. if you wish to have a get together between yourselves in your rooms in the presence of a manager, that’s alright, but be mindful whenever you are in public. while we know you are friends and coworkers, the public can view things differently.”

“furthermore, during the tour, you will be followed by cameras, or be asked to film for dvds and youtube content to be released at a later date!”

He didn’t know why he turned off all the lights because this wasn’t the type of game that required a dark ambiance. 

“Well, Max...” Yonghwa allowed his voice to trail off eerily because he subconsciously adapted to the weird demonic ritual type of atmosphere they had going on. “There’s no point in waiting any longer.” He leaned forward, his face illuminated by the candle that was on display on his cell phone screen. “Truth or dare?”

Listen, it’s been a long tour and they needed to relax. After a whole day of singing and dancing, Yonghwa was too tired to do anything that required more energy than this. Luckily enough, Max seemed just as eager to play this stupid game. As long as their dares didn’t get too outrageous, no one should be hurt from this experience. ( @lgcmax )

━━━  ♚ FANMEETING TOUR CITY EXPLORING IN MACAU WITH @lgcminjun

with most of the members knowing he's from hong kong, which is quite close to macau where they performed just yesterday, king has been asked if his family would be coming. then, when it became obvious that they weren't, they asked for what reason. he's made excuses for them countless times since he moved to seoul. they're very busy people who don't have time to travel for leisure just to see their youngest son perform. the truth is, they do have time. they've just never cared.

he brushed those feelings of rejection aside for as long as he can remember, just growing tougher and tougher as a result. but miso breaking his walls down created a chain reaction. king has changed a lot. more than people think, and it's getting harder to keep the facade of the one who's above everything. truth is he feels like shit, but he's been trying to pretend he's perfectly fine. his parents just had an important business meeting, that's why they couldn't attend. not because they couldn't care less about their worthless fourth son who hasn't achieved anything yet. as if the fanmeeting tour itself is no big deal. but right. he's not rich and famous on his own. yet.

he promised minjun he would serve as his tour guide when they would arrive in macau. he's been here a lot during his childhood and early adolescence and knows the hotspots to visit if you're only going to go once. they're only leaving for taipei on the 26th which leaves them plenty of time to explore when they're freed up from rehearsal duties. since king doesn't plan on moping around all day or whine to minjun about his pathetic family life, he wants to do something exciting and fun... something they won't forget. however, it depends on minjun's own idea of fun. "so... there's so much to do here. literally anything you can think of. except the casinos because we're not looking for kim hyuncheol to kick our asses later," king chuckles. "question though. are you an adrenaline junkie? do you wanna do something crazy, or just be tame and relax." king much hopes for the former option, needing to get his mind off things. but is minjun the daring type?

following the success of future dreams season 1 and 2, legacy entertainment announces the launch of a live musical; PROJECT ORIGIN - THE BEGINNINGS. this will also be the last future dreams activity for LEE RACHEL and PARK SEOJIN, as they will be taking new challenges under the company. featuring 34 trainees, 17 boys and 17 girls, fans will be able to catch a glimpse of not only their favorite future dreams trainees on stage, but also some fresh faces as well!

set in an alternate universe, constant war outbreaks have separated mankind, resulting in the rise of wastelands. only a handful got chosen by the light, but are they prepared for what’s brewing ahead? 34 knights have the future’s hope weighing on their shoulders. for the future of the next generation, will they succeed? 

the musical itself will be presented to the public in early july in seoul, busan and daegu. further details will be release soon.

it doesn't take much observation for jinyoung to notice that haru seems... more bummed out than usual. he blames the last fanmeeting that will take place tomorrow, where haru will present his solo performance. jinyoung remembers how stressed he was himself in minneapolis when his turn came. everything went smoothly in the end ( or at least as smoothly as it could have given his anxiety ) and he would hate for haru to go through the same horrific pre-fanmeeting evening. there must be added pressure too due to the fact that it's their last stop before they go back to seoul. even jinyoung feels a little nostalgic, while also being excited to go back home and see his friends and family. there's something special about being on tour with the same people for two months. they created bonds that should last a while. "get dressed, we're going out!" jin said to haru, leaving no real option for the other to refuse. or well, haru is definitely taller and stronger than him, so it's not like he's being forced... but jin is hopeful that he persuaded him well enough.  he's never been in new york before and of course, like every other tourist he really wants to see how times square will look like when the sun sets. shouldn't he grant himself the ultimate new york experience before he goes home for who knows how long? after haru joins him, the two boys set off out of their hotel. "by the way, i didn't wanna be annoying or anything... i just noticed you seemed kind of nervous today. is it about tomorrow?" jinyoung sounds a bit embarrassed to be asking, but if they're going to grow closer as friends, that's the type of more meaningful conversations they should be able to have, right? or so he thinks.

“There wasn’t supposed to be a dead end here, right?” Soyoun asks Miso as she glances at the map. Thankfully, they weren’t exactly needed anywhere, so they were free to explore Bangkok to their hearts’ content. Both Soyoun and Miso had wanted to try some authentic Thai food after getting some recommendations. As they tried finding the place mentioned, it seemed like the place was getting harder and harder to find. 

Soyoun’s sense of direction is borderline horrible to say the least, so having online maps have become helpful to her. Unfortunately, it looks as though their navigators have betrayed them. But Soyoun doesn’t want to lose hope just yet. As the older of the two, Soyoun feels like she’s responsible for Miso’s well-being. Soyoun will see to it that Miso gets her authentic Thai food experience. “We’re still going in the right direction, aren’t we?”

haneul & hyunjin take on TAIPEI 

           “wow,” is the first thing out of hyunjin’s mouth when they reach one of the places haneul had brought up. night markets seem to exist everywhere, and he remembers that in canada even vancouver had one ( which he didn’t get the opportunity to visit ) and sure, there’s food places all over korea but this is certainly something else. a hotspot, tourist destination, he’s glad that it’s opened starting from late afternoon to evening because taiwan is hot. it gets a few degrees cooler once the sun leaves for the other stars to say hello in the sky, but he feels the sweat on his forehead probably gleaming more than he wanted to. ah well, humidity is good.

they stand in front of the sign, raohe street night market, and the features are so bold and beautiful. “take a picture of me in front of the sign, hyung!” even before haneul gets a chance to say anything else. he hands his phone to haneul and gets in position. 

this trip has been enjoyable, the tour itself and the fact that he gets to room with two of his old roommates, he’s beyond thrilled. hyunjin is happy. is this even a job? it feels like a half vacation and hopes this can continue on and on. “are you familiar with the food haneul? i don’t even know where to begin. it all looks so... different. i might end up buying two different bubble teas if i’m going to be real with you, haneul.”

to laundry or not to laundry

The alarm doesn't wake him up, but rather a call from his father does, which causes his phone to vibrate underneath his pillow. His father's impatience and his drowsy state prevent him from answering the call. He presses the sleep button after noticing the notification that his father had left a message. His eyes close once again, turning to rest on his side. He remains in the same position for twenty minutes more before mustering enough energy to sit up on the bed. 

He finds himself alone in the hotel room, and he feels tempted to go back to sleep. However, he knows that sleeping in was a bold decision that had repercussions that he might regret later. He wasn't looking forward to suffering through insomnia while on tour, and he had done everything possible to avoid being affected by jet-lag. 

He climbs out of bed to jump in the shower before his roommates come back, lasting only about ten minutes in the bathroom. He grabs a pair of jeans and a sweater from the clean side of his suitcase. He had thought that touring was glamorous when he was none the wiser, but now he had a different perspective looking at the dirty clothes that he had yet to wash. 

His task for the morning was to find a way to wash his clothes; whether it was to step out of the hotel and look for a laundromat, or hope that the hotel offered laundry services. He sits on the edge of the bed, reaching for the brochure of the hotel, which he had grabbed from the lobby on a whim. He looks through the amenities section, finding exactly what he was looking for. The prices make him question if it was worth paying that amount of money for clean clothes, but he decides to add his roommates' clothes into the mix.

     getting a fansigning opportunity is really something he had never thought would happen, especially since their group was a rotational one. there are sixteen people sitting at a long table, and yet he still somehow managed to get a spot next to haru. or maybe haru had gotten a spot next to him? 

     either way, that makes this whole thing even more fun. 

     before they take their seats at the table, to start the actual fansign, jiho is trying to be subtle, watching from backstage as the fans file in. there are a few that he actually, surprisingly, recognize. mostly from isac, and some of the future dreams stages. he didn’t get to see their faces very clearly aside from isac, but he remembers a few of them. and despite not being one of the most popular in the team, it does make him feel happy to know that he has a few that were loyal to him. 

     “wanna make a bet?” he asks, leaning over to @lgcharu once they’ve taken their spots and he’s waving at the fans, seeing dslr cameras being pointed at him and he throws up a peace sign, smiling. “whoever gets the most stuffed toys at the end of this has to come up with a new trendy aegyo?” he adds after a moment, grinning. he thinks it’s a pretty fair wager—he might be more popular but haru is younger, and therefore would probably have more nuna fans who would want to baby him.

PROJECT ORIGIN ( UPDATE )

the long awaited new LINE DISTRIBUTION for the fanmeeting tour have been made. you can check the GIRLS and BOYS setlist. please be aware that there might be small errors or typos! original singers of the songs have kept their lines, though very few minor changes might have been made. so everyone gets at least one line in the songs they were added to. as for the last songs for each setlist, pretty girl and rollin’ rollin’, they do share their lines with the members they’ve been grouped with, but the songs are meant to be a final goodbye to the fans so everyone will be expected to walk around the stage, wave and interact with the audience instead of following the choreography perfectly.
