[ 🌹 ] follow-up.
@lgcjaesun
this came in the wake of a very lively dinner the night before. jaemin had ( once again ) attempted to cook a hearty dinner for the rest of the dorm and there were times where he did well but last night he ( once again ) severely undercooked the meat. apparently undercooked pork could kill you. who would’ve guessed? certainly not jaemin. he had reconciled and ordered a pizza instead to appease everyone as the topic of the festival came up. they’d all been preparing and today was the day. or rather yesterday, today and tomorrow.
jaemin had went up with the others for the dance stage earlier the previous day and though dancing was his passionate hobby, he was not on the same level as those who focused in the company solely on dancing and idol skills. as a future actor there would only be special occasions he’d have to pull out his dancing skills if ever. after staying back and chatting with jaesun the night before, jaemin waited patiently for him near the artists entrance to the festival, having half a mind to take out his phone to text him. though jaemin was a pretty heavy sleeper so it was likely jaesun had already arrived.
jaemin stood hair and makeup already done for presentation to the public since their faces were known and it certainly was a look. one he was not used to seeing but one that he was absolutely in love with. the camera of his phone didn’t seem to do it justice as he began to take selfies while he waited, fussing at his hair and working on different expressions to come off charming. it was rather shameless considering his location but it seemed to work in his favor as the background of his current selfie showed the exact face he had been waiting on. his caramel eyes lit up and he swiveled round to greet his roommate cheerily. “hyung!” whether jaesun had just gotten there, been there or was just passing by, jaemin had no idea but he knew that he had got several shots he loved.

the fifth wave
i thought i knew what loneliness was before he found me, but i had no clue. you don’t know what real loneliness is until you’ve known the opposite. r. yancy
a ‘festival’ starter for @lgcjaesun. this is too risky—especially for her. such an important event, such a public event—she must be crazy, surely, to even consider spending any time with jaesun during the festival; all eyes are, quite literally, on them: every word, every move. one step forward could potentially mean two steps backwards in their careers—is it worth it? is he worth it?
yes, she likes to think so—or maybe she’s just deluded herself into believing so instead.
maybe it’s the longing, the yearning; one stolen glance too many has her realizing she misses him, and there’s never enough time (there’ll never be enough time) together until she clears space for it herself.
so she stops him backstage during one of the few rare moments they cross paths, pulls him aside and musters up all her courage to ask, “jaesun, d-do you want to look around the festival together?” shaky eyes and shaking hands, she’s still not quite over those nerves when in his presence—a conflict with how much he puts her at ease. “i know we’ll probably get in trouble if we get caught, but...”
voice trails, fades into a heavy sigh as she bites her bottom lips, head finally raising to properly look him in the eye. she’s blushing (that much is nearly a given with jaesun), and she hopes he doesn’t notice. “just this once? for me?”

「♆ FESTIVAL HANGOUT ♆」
The festival was something Tee didn’t expect to find interesting, but by the second day he found himself wondering what the different stages and activities were. He was set to perform on the last day and he was somewhat nervous. He hadn’t competed in a rap battle before and he wasn’t sure what to expect.
He was currently standing in the trainee section waiting for the next stage. A few fans were looking at him but his attention was fixated on @lgcjinseo and his expression. He was curious what was on the older’s mind to make him look like this.
The younger leaned in closer, sipping his drink as he spoke, looking Jinseo over. ❛ P’Jinseo, are you ok? ❜

< a starter where nathan drags @lgcjesse around the festival against his will >
“bro, bro, bro,” nathan greets in a hurry, out of breath and (nearly) out of mind with an all too excited expression plastered across his features. he’s in a hurry, having to physically halt himself from running when he spots his brother from across the festival grounds—only to then ambush him immediately afterward.
“did you see the food truck they got for us? look at all these fuckin’ corn dogs!” he exclaims, proudly showcasing two fists full of corn dogs, one with a line of ketchup threatening to drip down onto his hands. he spares a smile before he bites deeply into the corn dog in his right hand, eating nearly half of its length with one bite. content (and with a ridiculously stuffed mouth), the taste returns him to his senses, eyes settling on his surroundings when he finally gulps.
“were you heading to a stage? which one? i’m not busy, so i guess i’ll join you.”

✧ .・゜゜side event 006, performance; let go
hunji stood watching. his eyes were wide but he saw nothing. his breath was unsteady and desperate. he heaved in. he heaved out. he felt like he could die. he was going to choke. even if i die i have to do this. even if i die you have to do this. he breathed in too hard and gagged. the song was coming to an end. he could taste the vomit in his mouth. he could taste the fear in his mouth. was there blood? he had no time to think. the smell encompassed him. the acidic feeling- he swallowed it all- ran deep in his sinuses. the song was ending the song was ending. tk turned around. hunji smacked his lips. stop! i’m stuck! his feet were fixed. it was a second. a second that lasted too long. everything was in slow motion to him as his eyes darted. the fans, the cheering, tk staring, tk staring. hunji lifted his foot. his eyes went to max. he was excited; he was excited. my sisters are here. your sisters are here. his chest shook and his other foot moved. had it only been two seconds? did a single beat pass? nothing felt real. he shook again. the smell. the taste. the metallic taste the taste of blood i can’t do this i can’t do this mom please please
a shove on the shoulder. who was it? hunji tripped forward. the high pitched beeping started. he thought he could vomit at any moment. his eyes were wide. taekyung’s weren’t. the flash of it all struck him like the rapture. he gasped and was taken into his own mind. the outside, time moved, on the inside, it slowed to a near halt. hunji felt his life flash before him in the bright stage lights. he remembered when he first joined legacy. the excitement of their voices when he entered the room; tk’s little cousin and max’s first korean friend were going to train with him. hunji thought it would pass. i’ll be here just to entertain them. this is just a phase. when max saw hunji struggling to dance, he said nothing. in front of everyone he only cheered. in private, he danced. he danced so hard hunji thought his poor friend’s head was going to fall off. at two in the morning, max looked like a blur. hwanju joined in. the music grew. it was hunji’s favorite song. he could only bob his head at first but slowly he saw max, beautiful max, wave him in. suddenly hunji found himself deep in the dance circle, but it was still hard. when hwanju went to bed, when max really turned the music higher, when he assured hunji they were the only two together in the world, hunji could dance. he found himself shaking his head, moving to the beat, not knowing where his legs or arms would take him. he flew. he flew because of max. when taekyung saw hunji struggling to perform he was more oblivious than hunji wanted him to be. hunji wanted the help. he wanted the advice, the advice of the only someone hunji felt safe enough talking to. strangely, taekyung, one of the best performers at legacy, was directly related to him. still, to get help, he had to seek it out. taekyung gave him the best advice he could. eye contact, follow the beat, and move. hunji was shy but asked if taekyung could critique him. hunji danced, but not well. he was told he looked to nervous. he just had to let go. he just had to let go. his breath was sucked out of him by the screaming. he was yanked to the present. it all moved too fast. he was walking. how am i walking? where am i going? taekyung’s eyes were narrowed. hunji’s were wide. the younger cousin had never seen such a fierce, terrifying, and confident look. taekyung, now tk, held a hand out. hunji did the same. the muscle memory over took him and the screams erupted in his ears despite the ear piece he wore. he followed taekyung’s eyes. narrow them. don’t be so nervous. dance with max. learn from taekyung. just let go. just let go. he was gone. hunji stood alone. all eyes were on him. he kept his face stale, he kept his eyes narrow. he glared at them all. the music reminded him why he was there. i want you to be happy. i’m always with you, my hunji. he gasped, “illuminated by the light on my laptop-” he spat onto the mic. he had no time for apologies, “chop chop, i’m cooking up a hot pot- spitting rap like Skepta after gaining inspiration.” he crouched above the crowd. they screamed in his face and he hawked back, “i say thanks to my team, always with me, max ‘n taekyung-ee.” he stood and his hand shook as he pointed right to max. he cocked an eyebrow. just let go. just let go.
we spend all night composing until we complete a good piece of work i do it for the fam- i do it for the team yeah i do it with my hands i’m working hard for my future team we’ll be an explosive bomb writing our respective verses riding the beat and the rhythm our styles are so different but we’ll match so well we’ll be one explosion listen up, i’m pretty sure you heard wrong i said ninjas, fam, i think you misheard 'cause i represent and i show respect to all people in the whole world- oh until the three of us grow up until my idea becomes more stable you what, mate? you can’t stop us
“pick up the pace” where are my feet “until i’m satisfied, i’ll keep going up” am i growling “pick up the pace” don’t growl "step on the accelerator- i won’t stop even at traffic lights” LET GO “pick up the pace” just let go my hunji “there’s no need for my lyrics to seem relaxing” it’s all spinning “pick up the pace” who’s screaming “yeah, pick up the pace” they’re screaming my name “yeah, pick up the pace” they will a l l scream my name

☁ Eventful | Alex & Youngmin
a closed starter for @lgcyoungmin
Usually, Alex would hate these types of things, being in crowded places such as this with people pushing by one another to get to wherever the hell they were going, but he had to admit that he was low-key having some sort of ‘fun’ in a certain way. If it weren’t for Youngmin being with him at the moment, Alex would most likely be off somewhere hiding and playing a game on his phone to pass the time by, but instead, here he was ‘enjoying’ the festival. Really he was just sort of glad that he didn’t have his sister hovering over him and watching his every move, though he was sure that he’d bump into her eventually during these three days.
He knew it was almost time for the one thing he wasn’t ready for. The fansign. He glances over at Youngmin before speaking. “You know, I thought this whole festival would be boring but I’m surprised that it’s sort of fun... in a way.” Alex then glances around as the two continue to walk around. “How do you think the whole fansign will go? I don’t even really have a signature to use so guess I’ll be making one up today.” He says this and chuckles a bit.
It was true. Alex hadn’t even thought about coming up with some sort of fancy signature for this day, or even for the future. That was really the last thing on his mind, really not something he wanted to be bothered by. Though, he knew that eventually, he would have to come up with something for when he made his debut, so he figured that whatever he came up with today would be his signature from now on. Usually, he just did some basic cursive when it came to his name and left it at that.

lgc festival, day 2 ┊ with @lgcshinha
the world temporarily stops when jaewoo finds out that he's not allowed to watch any of the female trainees' stages. to be fair though, it's apparently been announced plenty of times before? but he hasn't been in the most... present of mental states lately (badly underslept for reasons too long to list), and. well. he'd be lying if he said he wasn't a tiny bit bummed out.
"i really wanted to see the project origin girls perform..." he laments, aura reminiscent of a deflated balloon. partly exaggerating though (as per usual), just to get a reaction out of shinha. "now i have to eat my sorrows away." he declares, arm snaking around the older boy's elbow to pull him towards the food trucks. they still have a few minutes to spare before the first stage of the day begins. "care to join me in my misery?"

tornado potato.
the last festival hyunseok attended was the harbor festival in his hometown, and admittedly, most of his time there had been tied up with a fishing contest. legacy’s festival is as different as night and day—no fish, for one, but the sea’s distant too. unless you’re counting the sea of people as something, which hyunseok isn’t (though there sure are a ton of eager fans here). it makes him a little uncomfortable; big crowds aren’t his forte, but god knows he’s been working hard enough lately that he deserves a (short) break. with that in mind, hyunseok is determined to enjoy the festival to the fullest.
and the highlight of every festival is the variety of food stalls. a glazed-over, happy look crosses his eyes as he stares open-mouthed at the sheer number of them. normally, he’d be spending most of his time hopping from stall to stall, but hyunseok had promised some of his free time to youngmin, who really wants to see the project origin boys perform. hyunseok is just happy to be dragged along for the ride. it’s easier to navigate the crowds when he can rely on someone else to lead for the most part. the exception to this food. this, he reflects gravely, is his domain.
but the project origin boys aren’t scheduled to start until six, which means… they should have just enough time to hit up one food stall, right? he turns to youngmin with a grin, his eyes alight with anticipation. “hey, let’s go grab a couple of sticks of tornado potato!” they’re a staple, and hyunseok is starving—he wonders if the stalls here have the kind with the potato wrapped around sausage. “or, i mean, if you want something else we can get that too! i think bingsu is nice this time of year, or, oh! donuts would be nice…” he trails off, rubbing his chin in deep thought. so many choices...
it takes a moment, but he soon realizes that there are eyes on them. hyunseok slowly turns to see a cluster of fans from the VIP section watching them—likely watching youngmin, because even objectively he can admit the other man is striking. if hyunseok was here as a fan, he’d probably watch him too. giving the other man a small nudge with his elbow, he drops his voice to a whisper and says, “youngmin, i think they want to say hi.” for his his part, hyunseok, tries to arrange his features into a bright smile, but it lacks the easy charm so many of his fellow trainees seem to possess in spades.
“wait.” with dawning horror, he turns back. “are we even allowed to stuff our faces in front of fans? seems kind of counterproductive to building an image.”
for @lgcyoungmin !

@lgcyoon and i plotted (?) something
“wait- where are we going?” benji was comfortable in his lack of structure. he needed no rules, no bounds, and no one to follow. likewise, had he had rules, bounds, and someone or something to follow, he would function just as well. he never felt as though he was forced into just about anything in his life. this, going along with yoon and whatever he had planned, was exactly that. he wore his best bleached out jeans and muddy green shirt. atop of it, he wore an offiical legacy festival 2020 hoodie he bought earlier. now, having met up with yoon, he felt bad that he was the only one wearing any merchendise. “ya’ know, after this, if you want, we can go and get you some stuff.” he said, staring forward at the crowds of people. his eyes followed the red tape that seperated the trainees from the other guests. “i mean, if you even want any,” he chuckled, “i ddn’t see anything, uh, super fashion-forward at the booth if you know what i mean.”

step up
with @lgcshinha
minjun’s nerves on the first day of the festival was skyrocketing. there was so much on his mind, how afraid he had been that he wouldn’t live up to expectations, even more so in legacy grounds. he had gotten over the fear of feeling disconnected from the rest of type-zero, but the current setting spiked up a few more worries on its own. minjun took it with stride, doing his best on stage as he promised he would no matter the circumstances. that feat was much easier to accomplish when he spotted shinha amongst the crowd, seemingly cheering him on.
needless to say, that increased his drive even further. he danced as hard as he could, sang as hard as his lungs allowed him to, performed his very best. and maybe after, shinha would tell him that he had done a good job. there was nothing wrong with a little hope, right?
day two of the festival was different. this time, minjun brought pusheen along in his arms, catching the eye of a few fans. he wondered whether a few of them had watched his vlive with shinha; recognised the plushie as his baby. his agenda for the moment was finding his dear friend, however, so he paid them little mind until he found the friend in question.
“shinha!” he called out, instinctively draping an arm over shinha’s shoulder. “there you are, i’ve been looking everywhere for you - so has pusheen!” in the distance, he could hear a few squeals, no doubt from the fans he passed by earlier. looks like they did recognise pusheen.
“do you think our baby is more popular than us?” he laughs a little. “should we let them take a closer look at her?”

SIDE EVENT 006.
a reminder on side-events; they are non-mandatory occasional events that your muse can choose to participate in or not.
while missing an event might mean missing out on points, be aware that choosing to take part in it could have positive or negative consequences for your muse. there is also no telling which part of the event will have consequences either since they will be tailored to make it difficult to guess what could impact your muse. while the final consequences are decided at the same time as the event is created, we will only reveal them the sunday after the deadline. so choose wisely: are you willing to make a gamble with your muse?
** the admin team would like to add a special thank you to @lgcjude / @lgcjina / @lgcwon for the event idea **
LEGACY FESTIVAL
spring is the season of festivals. since april, senior artists have been busy with the many festivals (universities and musicals) that run throughout the season. with their current roster being larger than ever, legacy is looking to create a whole new experience inspired by the extremely popular festival: ‘COACHELLA’. the THREE DAYS festival will begin on JUNE 12 and end on JUNE 15. a site with tents and three stages will be set up for the occasion. food trucks from various restaurants will also be set up in a resting area. various activities and merchandise will be available during the festival, but the main attraction remains LEGACY ARTISTS.
during the three days of the festival, the senior artists will perform on the main stage. alongside them FUTURE DREAMS will also take on the main stage. with little time to prepare, they will perform the songs they have been rehearsing and performing during the past months. the rest of the trainees will be performing on the two smaller stages. they have been divided between SIX different activities. the first is a FANMEETING, where trainees will sit with a host, answer question from the crowd (pre-screened) and take pictures with lucky winners. the second is a LIVE SHOW with trainees hosting it. the third is a BEAUTY PANEL with a professional makeup artist of innisfree using trainees as models, they will discuss beauty with the trainees too. the fourth is DANCE BATTLE where trainees are divided in teams of two and have to ace the most choreography of songs randomly given to them. the fifth is the same concept but as a SINGING BATTLE. the final stage is a RAP BATTLE, a mock form of show me the money form where each trainee will have to perform a rap stage.
while the festival is for fans to enjoy, trainees will also be given a few hours to attend 2 stages. safe areas for artists will be arranged everywhere so that legacy artists can enjoy activities freely. those areas will be close enough from the vip area so that fans who paid more could interact with legacy artists should they wish to. trainees are forbidden to attend stages of trainees of another gender.

♞ – ‘Last Show
Summer is a little early this year. With the heat beating hard against their backs that almost nullifies the effects of the electrical fans meant to keep them cool on stage. It was the last stage rehearsal before the actual show taking place the day after. With Type Zero as the main event on the first night, Viggo knows just how much pressure it would have to put into making a memorable performance that evening. Especially since Type Zero technically already finished their rounds as schedule and the new group is about to debut.
Tossing the mic casually between his hands, Viggo ponders what would happen to their group now. Casually sliding towards @lgcminjun, he cranes his neck from side to side, Viggo hands him the extra towel he had thrown over his shoulders before walking up to Minjun. “You holding up alright, bud?”

╰ track 017,
LGC FESTIVAL 2020 ㅡ JUNE 14TH STAGE ( flash, hit, energetic, pretty girl )
“Project Origin Boys, you’re on stage in five.”
As soon as the staff’s announcement dissipated from the air, screaming fans replaced their silence. The large screens outside displayed a montage of their faces and soundless clips from the show they built themselves up from. Seojin watched the monitoring televisions in the back panning over the crowd and empty stage. He would be up there soon. Too soon.
Breathe in, breathe out.
The grips of an unfamiliar sadness wrapped around his heart and twisted it around. Regret, guilt. He wondered if following the true path of his dream was the wrong choice. There laid a chance for him to debut, make a name for himself, put a foot forward. But, was it worth it in the end? To betray his own interests in pursuit of fame? Nearly a year of idol related activities and time in the spotlight.
He paid his dues, danced to the best of his ability, allowed the invasive cameras into his space while he bit his tongue during interviews, and glossed over the building tension between himself and other trainees. This branch of life was not meant for him. It never was.
“Park Seojin.” A familiar voice broke the silence surrounding him specifically. The face of his new manager appeared within his line of sight, a light veil of concern over his sharp features. It was a sight to see. This man Seojin hardly knew for a couple months was expressing concern for him. “You okay, kid? Need some water?”
No matter how he tried to isolate himself in times of weakness, there was no use in being able to hide it anymore. And there was no use in continuing to think no one would notice or check on him with care. ( But wasn’t that their job, he thought. They’re being paid to act like they care, aren’t they? ) Too many episodes of self-doubt within the same span of a few minutes for Seojin to handle without an audible groan.
“Yeah. No, I’m… fine, hyungnim.” Seojin sighed heavily as he pulled himself to his feet. A breath in, a breath out, then another glance at his manager. His eyes were filled with a certain spark of genuine gratefulness in spite of being too prideful to make it vocal.
“Good luck.”
Seojin carried the short wish along with him. He cradled it in his hand up the steps to the stage, then across it to his position in the formation. More voices echoed the same sentiment from the ocean of faces rustling below. They held signs of cheers and their names as high in the air as they could. All he could muster in response was a half-hearted wave and smile to someone who screamed for him.
He failed to understand his own thought process. Where were these strange bouts of anxiety when he performed for his first few times?
I can do this. I can do this. Just one more time.

< a festival starter where taesung and @lgcjinseo watch the type zero stage >
he must be some kind of masochist, to willingly watch the performance of the people who managed to reach his dream before him (it’s ugly, and it hurts—right in his soul, the base of his heart). and it’s hard, evidently so, to even feign some kind of happiness for his colleagues—his seniors, now—so he struggles, much more than he anticipates, with maintaining his facial expressions, with greying his envy.
he’s not around anyone he’s largely familiar with, and for that, he’s grateful (how pathetic it’d be to let someone see him like this)—though, the experience’s even more soured by the insistent cheers and calls from the side of the vip section.
there’s a part of him that’s smug—small smirk included—at the thought that he’s distracting precious type zero fans with his presence; spares them the occasional wave or smile, but not enough to dissolve his anger, to subdue his malice. so he escapes, deeper into center of the artists’ area, for the first human body in sight.
“you’d think they’d focus more on the performers than us, huh? god, from the way they scream, you’d think we’re the idols and not those guys up there.”

tacos, tacos, tacos
It wasn’t a secret that Jude preferred to spend his time alone, but for once he didn't need to be convinced to attend the festival. He had been looking forward to heading towards the festival after practice, and the main attraction for him was absolutely the food. He had caught a few glimpses of the menu and heard the other trainees that had attended the first day gushing about how much fun they had. He planned the day before to head to the venue early with Seojin and met him in front of his new dormitory.
As members of Project Origin, he felt that the right thing to do was to go and cheer the girls on. He knew that Seojin would have attended with or without him since his younger sister and girlfriend were performing together. But first, food was a priority. He takes charge of finding the food truck with the shortest line, and to his delight, the food truck sells tacos. He purchases two tacos each of the top best selling options on the menu, and two glasses of water, which he hands off to Seojin.
“Do you want anything else?” He asks, carefully holding onto the takeout boxes. “We have—” He briefly glances down at his watch, meeting his friend’s gaze with a faint grin. “...half an hour before the stage begins.”
