If some sections are incomplete, it will be updated when I am able to do so.

Volbeat. The Band.

This Danish rock band formed in 2001 in Copenhagen. They play a fusion of rock and roll, heavy metal and rockabilly. The band is signed to Dutch label Mascot Records. The current line up consists of Michael Poulsen, Kaspar Boye Larsen, and Jon Larsen (no relation). As of now, they have been touring with Flemming C. Lund as their stand-in lead guitarist.

The band name "Volbeat" was derived from an album name of Michael's previous band, Dominus (1992-2001). Dominus's third album was titled Vol.Beat (read as: Volume Beat). Dominus was a death metal band and they parted ways when Michael wanted to leave the death metal scene and focus on a more personally stylized sound.

Their fanbase and website exclusive content is called the Rebels & Angels. Signing up is free and you can view content such as tour photos, tour pre-sales, the official band history verbiage, and wallpaper artworks.

Married to Jeanet Carlsen since 2022. Previously married to Lina Schøn, 2010-2015. Has two children with Jeanet. Has three sisters (one of which is his twin! And the other two are eachothers twins).
