Built in the 1940’s by Levengood Dairy, these amazing cup shaped structures originally severed ice cream and other dairy products out the front window cut directly into the cup. Later after the Dairy sold the properties they were built upon and expanded into larger eateries, such as this on in Reading Pennsylvania that became Speedies Dinette. An impressive structure in of itself with amazing vintage stonework, this building has aged beautifully. Sadly today the Dinette sits abandoned awaiting its fate. With this being one of only four Levengood Dairy cups left in Pennsylvanian, hopefully someone will come along and restore this amazing piece of local programmatic architecture history.
