Einstein knew what he was talking about. Creativity is many things, but one of the big ones is FUN. If you’re not having fun with your work, why would you keep doing it? If you’re blocked on a project, is it because it’s not fun anymore? . Now, don’t get me wrong here—challenge is also part of the process, and for a lot of us, it’s what makes something fun. But that doesn’t mean it should be all work. It doesn’t mean everything should be serious all the time. There’s a balance to e struck, and hitting it, or even getting into the proverbial ballpark, helps to keep your creative mojo flowing. . Here’s today’s assignment: when you get stuck on something—whether you think of it as creative or not!—ask yourself, “How can I make this more fun?” You don’t have to come up with an answer right away.
