i’ve missed you and tumblr too but somewhere between writing my last fic and my vacation i’ve adopted my irl “don’t talk unless spoken to” attitude, so the blog’s gone a little quiet; i’m working on new fics though and i’m hoping for the most productive flight ever >///<

5.7k… i was so naive… war flashbacks to proofreading it but i’m still really proud of myself for writing that, so thank you for requesting, couldn’t have done it without you <3 if you missed the 11.6k monster, here

while you’re tea is brewing, let me tell you something: i think i know why i procrastinated on this ask for so long and it’s because i do not like the thought of having kids; sure they’re cute and all but i like giving them back after a couple of hours, if a fluff fic has pregnancy in the tags or there’s a child involved, i’m out ㅠㅠ ironic isn’t it

but, for you, i’ll try my best (this is not in order or anything) ♡

childe: honestly one of the best, if not the best, dad on this list i’m biased okay, despite his job and being seldom home, he still grew up with three younger siblings and learned early how to take care of them; also, his love for his family knows no bounds, so if there’s something he doesn’t know he will do his research to best provide for all of your needs also spoils all of you ㅠㅠ; the type to have multiple children (maybe two or three?)

diluc: why can i see diluc’s son playing the violin perfectly at age seven and knowing like five languages by the age of ten? sure, diluc will definitely pay for higher education but i think his child would probably be a high-achiever/ gifted kid (we’re not diving into where that’s coming from or if that’s healthy here); he still has the stoic face but he loves you both very dearly and could not be prouder if his kid achieves literally anything; i imagine him having an only child? would absolutely spoil his daughter

thoma: perfect househusband, next—

thoma: somehow the vision of thoma with two equally bright blonde twin sisters just popped into my head and we’re rolling with it; i can absolutely see them cooking/baking together “we’re going to make a delicious meal for mommy/daddy when they come home”; pouts when they’re more excited to see auntie ayaka and auntie yoimiya (ayato just gently pays him on the back to console him while the girls are running around)

venti: oh no, pray that the child doesn’t take after him— i’m partly joking but can you imagine the chaos if his child inherited his anemo powers? with venti as the dad?? he’d be like the mean girls mom “you’re doing great sweetie” while you’re running around trying to get your child off the roof he’d never put them in any danger though and always looks out of them, sometimes when his child is asleep, he gently cradles them against his chest and and reflects on how he’d never thought he’d come to this point, feels incredibly lucky to have you both in his life; prettiest self-written lullabies!!

albedo: i’m not entirely sure if albedo actually could have a child of his own but regardless i think he’d be super up to the idea of adoption either way; does safe science experiments with them and softly smiles at their reactions even if they’re just fascinated by the pretty colours and not by the actual science; the dad with a fuck ton of parenting books; he’s taken care of klee for a long time, so he knows what he’s doing (no klee, a bomb is not an appropriate gift for a five year old)

kaeya: another one who did not see himself with a kid ever but he’s absolutely thriving, he’s the soccer mom “yes honey, go kick his ass!”, will do his daughter’s hair no questions asked, if someone ever rudely comments on his child’s skin tone he will throw more than just hands; his kid can fight and won’t take shit from anyone, don’t even try to convince me otherwise

xiao: when you tell him you’re pregnant/ want to adopt, he panics, how should he take care of a tiny child?? but after a bit of reassurance he calms down and swears to give it his all and give it his all he does, ngl he’s a bit overprotective at first but soon learns that his kid is a bit more capable and doesn’t need to be handled with satin gloves (almost had a heart attack when they fell down the stairs or hit their head under the table and just continued on, yk typical kid stuff), makes little adepti charms for them (also when they were still a baby, handmade a mobile for them, so cute >///<)

zhongli: sophisticated and more elegant than your average adult, flawless manners and eloquent vocabulary, everyone in liyue harbor takes one look at the child and they’re like “yeah, that’s zhongli’s alright”; they have daily tea times together and he tells them stories about liyue; would be proud of them whether they have his powers or not; gardening together!!

kazuha: calm, both he and the kid; let’s his kid express themselves as freely as they want; teaches them how to make music with leaves and stuff; thrilled when they’re showing interest in poems and books but won’t push it on them; his kid is very in tune with nature and super respectful to all living beings except for authorities, already accepted as a member of the crux, auntie beidou!!

ayato: rewrites all his schedules to have enough time for his child, does paperwork with them on his lap and pretends to not notice them chewing on the end of his pen; also manners!! in public they’re all proper posture and formal and stuff but as soon as they’re home, they just plop down on the couch and melt into the cushions and gossip over some of the stupid stuff the politicians or whoever said

aether: very much also a nature kid, climbing trees, picking up every type of bug they find and bleeding knees every day; personality takes after auntie lumine, goody two-shoes outside, sassy as hell on the inside, if it’s not forbidden, it’s allowed; i can’t decide whether i want him to have one child or twins bc i can see him having twins with like opposite dynamics kinda like him and lumine but is that uncreative?

okay, that’s it, i don’t have any more dad!shin thoughts at the moment, let me know what your personal headcanons are!! ♡ i had a concept at first and then threw it out the window after like three headcanons

I'm so so sorry for the late ask😭 I had to babysit my cousins last night while their parents were out and when I threw them in their room, they started crying and so I had to play with them till we all fell asleep. Then for some reaosn I got called in early for work today so that happened😑

But I finally got the time to read the fic and HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!

It was detailed and seasoned down to the bone. I was a little confused about the whole 'Colombina' thing at first, but I read the Author's Insight and understood. Plus, the training scene and the others knowing about it...Fuckkkkk it was so good😫

Then the ending, I was a little curious as to who you would select to be the final boss (not me thinking it would be the guy with 800k debt to hire an assassin) to finish the whole thing....god it was so good!!!

Thank you Holly, this fic was too well worth the wait and I definitely hope it gets the publicity it DESERVES❤

Okay, I've read the recent post and I just wanna say a few things

1. Holly, I'm sorry for throwing such a big fic idea on your shoulders and expecting utter justice😕

Like seriously, you an amazing writer, but you also new to this on Tumblr (i think) so having you write something so detailed is a flaw on my part.

2. I want you to calm down and just let the feelings flow.

I'm not a writer but i know writing a good angst is hard. Just let the feeling flow, how do you think you would feel in the situation, and what ever ending you give, is most satisfying.

3. Lastly, have confidence in yourself and know that no one will hate you for doing your best.

Even though you're an amazing writer, not everything will be perfect all the time. I just want you to know, I will not hate you if your fic isn't 'emotional enough' or 'the ending is bad' nope nope nope, as one of your most dedicated customers, I will love and enjoy your fic no matter what you put Ajax through.

listen up darling because i’ve got shit to say!!

i don’t want you to feel bad in the slightest, i’m happy you requested that fic bc wow, it’s given me so many thoughts seriously; the fact that it escalated like this is entirely on me

i also liked it quite a lot before monday but now that all the harbinger stuff is out, i’m overthinking everything again, like sure it’s its own separate work and was being written before all of that was released but i still feel very insecure about it

me worrying about angst and the ending and the fic itself is also nothing new, i do it every time i write; it’s just a little more this time bc i’ve invested so much time and bc i like the prompt this much, so it’s really my own expectation towards myself more than pressure from outside

Hey Holly!

To be honest I think you do a pretty great job with the reader in your fics. To me it seems like you write their personality based on the character they are being paired with.

So like for instance (JUST IN MY OPINION)

Childe may not be interested in someone who is more on the side of weak and feeble, hence I realized that you wrote the reader as more headstrong and fierce, whereby relating more to his personality as a Fatui Harbinger with heavy bloodlust.

Same goes for someone like Diluc in your fic, if you wrote that the reader would often grab and hug his arm to show affection/feelings or even grab and pinch his cheeks and he was attracted to that, it would be a little weird since its not his personality to like those things in comparison to someone like...uhh...Venti who would like it you know?

So overall thats just my take on it, your a good child and your fics are amazing and well written...always worth the wait❤

i’m happy to hear you think this way and it’s true, i try to write the reader in a way that makes it believable for the characters to fall for them; not only for being true to their personalities but also to fit the scene and vary the reader’s personality at least slightly

most scenes are inspired by what the characters would probably/ possibly experience in my opinion, so i think this approach works quite well

obviously, if someone request a fic with the reader having a certain trait (shy, short, long hair, …) i’ll write the reader displaying this trait but people will be able to find it in the description of the fic then

i was just thinking back to the one time i wrote a technically gender-neutral fic but with how it read, it was implied that the reader was female + one character used the nickname “princess”, so i was wondering what people identifying as something other than female thought about it

diluc…mmh, what do i do with you? on one hand he’s pretty distant with people he doesn’t know, so i don’t think he’d get any flings going but if he’s in a relationship i could see it happening; i guess we’re all on the same page when i say that diluc doesn’t do casual when it comes to relationships, so the body count is probably 0/1 depending on what i said previously

albedo does it for science! or not at all, he’s not entirely human but obviously he knows about this particular activity; fascinated by the idea that something primarily intended for reproduction is done out of want not need, he’s curious to see what it’s all about

≫ he doesn’t really care, at least until he finds someone he’s actually interested in (depends also a bit on how his “research” went), waiting until marriage is just a social construct that he doesn’t partake in, why would he let traditions dictate what he does?

venti (who is in my eyes an adult) is uhhh… has uhhh… idk i can see this going two ways: his archon appearance gives a very angelic/ innocent vibe, like he’s just that pure but we all know venti…he’s not; he’s still lived for 2000+ years, so i don’t think it’s a stretch to say he has some experience but it’s hard to estimate a body count, i’m drawing a blank here

≫ on one hand, there’s his child-like demeanour and appearance but we’ve seen there’s so much more depth to his character, so i don’t think you can just write him off as naïve and inexperienced; on the other hand, he’s the god of freedom, do with that what you want

kazuha is too cool to be a virgin lol; but for real, he just gives me those chill vibes where he’s not really trying but people just flock to him; it’s not like he initiates it, he just kinda goes with the flow, idk how to explain it but i get these certain vibes from him that i can’t shake

≫ as i said, go with the flow kinda guy; not desperate for some action but also not bound by traditions or family to wait until marriage (he travels teyvat by himself, he can do what he wants)

xiao… yeah, karmic debt said no; considering his past, his current duties and his behaviour towards both mortals and adepti, i don’t think he’s been able to be that vulnerable with anyone (yet), he also doesn’t want anyone to possibly be affected by his karmic debt

≫ mortal concepts like marriage hold no real meaning to him anyway, so that’s not the obstacle here; much like kaeya, i think it’s emotional intimacy he seeks more than just physical pleasure, it would require a whole lot of trust for him to give himself to someone so openly in this way

phew, i hope i didn’t sound like a broken record at the end haha; those are just the first vibes i‘m getting but it’s not like i’d defend them to death

anyway, this is all just for fun, just remember there‘s not right or wrong thing to do here, don’t pressure yourself or let anyone else pressure you to do sth you don’t want to; the most important thing is to be comfortable and to take things at your own pace ❀

You know Holly, seeing you talk about Childe so much as of recent...got me wanting to ask a serious scenario...so here goes (please forgive me for making it so long)😭

What if a one day, a dangerous weapon is discovered. No-one but the gods and other beings that have been alive for over 2000 years are aware of its existence and abilities. And so, because of its rediscovery, the gods (like Zhongli and Venti) begin to seek it out before its to late. Keep in mind, this weapon is so dangerous, that even gods and adepti couldn't run from its power; once hit, they would surely die.

Unfortunately however, as news spreads of the weapon's return, everyone is trying to get it, and it somehow ends up in the hands of the Abyss Order. Now, their goals of threating and overtaking the Gods and their nations is at hand. And so, it begins. Nations fight Nations, the powerful against the powerful, mothers fighting children, brothers fighting brothers, sisters against sisters and so on. Complete Chaos.

But, being the powerful witch you are, you know something has to be done, and so you obviously rebel against the Abyss Order and begin winning and kicking ass too. But, they find your weakness...and after you are captured when trying to infiltrate their hideout, they bring before you, two young lads, both tired and obviously beaten like dogs by an abusive owner. They point the weapon directly in the middle of them,

"Shit! Xiao! Childe!" You scream, as you fight for freedom against the enemy holding your arms tightly behind your back.

"Its- its alright comrade, its just a- a little scratch" Childe groans, its obvious that the pain isn't doing his physical state any good.

Xiao on the other had, says nothing. The green opened cuts, litter his body indicating that this is somewhat more than even he alone could handle. He is ashamed; Ashamed to have the woman who he cares so much about, see him in this state of weakness and vulnerability, and do he says nothing but his eyes shoot daggers at the enemy holding your arms so tightly as you wince because of the pain.

Finally, the person behind this entire altercation appears and things take a turn for the worst.

"What the hell do you want you psychotic bastard?!" You growl.

"Silence when the master is speaking!" The man holding your arms shout and tighten his hold.

"What I want? So kind of you to ask, my dear, I'm quite a simple man you know. I only desire to see the world that had taken so much from me, succumb to the destruction it deserves." he grins menacingly "And this also means, that I cannot have any interferences in my plan either, for this is would be my intentions for them."

You stare at him, as he points over to a giant boar in a cage at the end of the room and points the newly found weapon at it before firing. It is gruesome, like a scene straight out of a horror movie, the creature lets out a pained scream as its skin begins to turn inside out and ita blood leaks to the ground; its eyes bulging and soon enough it is resolved to nothing but a puddle of flesh and blood in the cage.

The boss laughs, seemingly amazing by the works of this weapon. You on the other hand, you tremble feeling the urge to throw up after being witness to such a horific scene; but even that feeling becomes nothing compared to utter dread that coincides with the next statement he makes.

"Now then, as punishment for infiltraing my base and eliminating half of my men, I shall give you the honor of choosing the fate of these wretched fools before me whom you know all too well."

The looks on the ginger and adepti's faces are cold, but laced with fear. To have to endure such pain for that sake of punishment and sadistic pleasure, absolutely disgusting.

"Alright then, make your choice then Witch Holly...Will you sit here and witness the death of your beloved yaksha or the energetic fatui harbinger? Either way, their screams will be delightful to listen to."

“Leave them out of this,” I bite back. “They have nothing to do with this.”

“Oh but they do, you care about them, don’t you?” The guy smirked, obviously relishing in the control of the situation. “That’s what makes all of this so interesting. So which one of these pathetic dogs should it be?”

“Holly, I-“

“Ever since the beginning I have been ready to give up my life to prevent the chaos brought by this weapon. Don’t hesitate to sacrifice me.”

“Just kill me already, you bastard.” I spit, desperately wracking my brain for a way out of this mess. For now the only plan is to bluff and buy time. “It’s your only option anyway.”

“My only choice, you say?” Scratching his chin, it’s clear he doesn’t believe me in the slightest but there is a gleam of intrigue in his eyes. “Why would that be? I can already see more than three choices where to point my little toy, so what possibly could you mean?”

“I mean that if you make me choose right now,” it is hard to hear myself speak over my boiling blood, “I will be back to kill to other half of your men as well and tear your stupid organisation brick from brick.”

It is clearly an empty thread but the furious spark in my eyes seemingly makes him falter. But then he laughs. “I like you, little witch, you have drive. What a waste of potential; why don’t you work with me hmm? Together we could achieve great things and overturn this world. What else can you do, sitting there on the floor, vision blocked by those handcuffs? You can do so much more.”

Vision blocked? Don’t tell me…

“No thank you, I’ll pass.” And with that one of the supporting beams came crashing down, burying the guy holding me down underneath its weight. Summoning a spear of ice, I break the chain linking the cuffs together before knocking down two more advancing guards.

“What in the Abyss is going on?” Their boss bellowed.

“I took your words to heart, you were absolutely right. I can do so much more,” I grin, the adrenaline pulsing through me, sending shivers down my spine. “Did you really think I call myself a witch because of my Vision? Oh please, how stupid can you be?”

“You little brat. Fine, if that’s how you want to play.” Charging up the weapon again he first pointed it at Childe. “I was going to show mercy and eliminate only one of these idiots but I have changed my mind.”

This is going to be extremely taxing but…

“You should really know your enemies better.” Focusing on the still tied up men, I willed all my power into this spell. The runes of two teleportation circles appear under their knees before they are whisked away in a flash of bright light. “Especially if your enemy is me.”

“You—“ The way his head turns red and his eyes bulge out of his head, I almost suspect he hit himself with the weapon instead. Where Childe had just been sitting, the ground is throwing bubbles and smoke is rising in the air. “You’re going to pay for this.”

“I told you this was inevitable.” My palm crackles with pure elemental power as I level him with challenging grin. “Face me head on, you coward.”

✧ i know i don’t mention it a lot but have you heard of xiao? yeah i kinda like him and that tortellini fellow too…

who am i kidding you guys all know i love xiao and childe, no surprises here; i also mentioned before that i like scara, which is still true; kazuha is making is way up the list currently though and thoma has also grown on me (i can expand this list pretty far if i want to) >///<

but if i had to give you 5 characters i currently like the most, both in personality, design and game play, it’d be xiao, childe, kazuha, ayaka and raiden shogun ଘ(੭˃ᴗ˂)੭ (sorry scara, you’re kinda lacking the game play aspect here and ayaka honey you really should’ve come home ㅠㅠ at least i have a guaranteed kazoo kid now)

i think everyone in the knights of favonius would make for a good sibling, especially jean and barbara, they’re all pretty chill and not prone for serious trouble (except for klee but she’s cute, so she gets away with it) ♡
