some bnha thoughts, on this sunny monday morning (or lunchtime, by the time i finish typing sdlkfjdlsk):

💥 got walloped with a return of the post-362 grief, with the latest episode of the anime lmao. unfortunately this means i am currently in my feelies, so thank u for bearing with me as i cycle through them in the form of shitposting. 🥹

💥 speaking of the anime, i’m sad they didn’t adapt one of my favourite panels from 360, where bakugou (or shiggy? it’s never really stated, but tbh i’ve always kinda assumed it’s shiggy imagining it LOL, maybe they both are? a joint moment of horror/delight where everyone knows exactly what’s about to happen 🥹) are imagining bakugou being torn apart by shiggy’s gross giant maggot fingers sdlkjlsdjflksdjf. i mean, i get why bones didn’t adapt it (bc they’re cheapskates and and also bc it is a show for children LMFAOOOO) but it’s a really cool example of how hard hori’s art can go, and also what im chalking up as his secret wish to write a horror story lmaoooo.

🪱🧵 i am biting my nails the closer we get to the end of the manga. chapter 428 was fun—bakugou and todoroki hiding behind iida as iida gently berates their newfound fangirls was so cute, lmao. also the revelation that edgeshot is slowly… regenerating? is….. interesting. i’m disappointed that hori didn’t kill him for a couple of reasons: the first one is my most selfish, and it’s bc i planned on edgeshot being dead for my halloween fic lmfao, now i gotta rework that whole angle. 💀😪 but the second reason is more pressing and that’s bc hori is a COWARD who NEVER kills off ANYONE that has INTERESTING CONSEQUENCES. and also bc he only likes killing off girls 💀 (we’ll circle back to this point). idk, i mean, for as much as i act like the grim reaper and whinge about mha not being depressing enough (lmao), the story that hori’s been writing has always been like, pretty easy to understand. hope connection blah blah blah (i say that lovingly).

HOWEVER,

💚🍵🩸 there are a few deaths i’ve always kinda expected, in the series, with the top of that list being shiggy and dabi. i was like, hopeful toga wouldn’t die, mostly bc i wanted hori to prove me wrong with his GIRL MURDERER AGENDA, but. 💀 cue the clown music, ig. and hey, maybe toga isn’t dead—maybe she’s just in a coma or in prison and ochako’s being emo bc she wants the world to see toga as a teenage girl and not a blood-sucking murdering psycho, and i HOPE that’s the case!!! i do!!!! like, are you seriously going to tell me dabi is somehow still alive (for now, anyways. do NOT come for me, that man got deep fried in the deepest oil vats of McHell!!!!) but toga gets the chop? 😒 like i actually fully expect tenko to come stumbling back (literally!!!) so you cannot tell me you save the dustpile AND the deepfriend mctodo just to axe the blood sucker!!!!! let them all live if ur gonna be a coward about it, hori!!!!! this is what i mean about interesting consequences. 😔 the only consequence we’re getting so far is deku and ochako both kinda 🫤🥺😦ing their way into a confession LOL. i’m being mean—i think the next chapter will be them both confronting their guilt over like, not being able to “save” their villains, and that if we do get a confession of feelies it’ll be something like ochako saying, “i like you deku, and/but i want to be a great hero too, to save people like toga in the future”. 🥹 maybe??? guess we’ll see. 🥺

🌇💀 my pet theory for the vaguely-tenko shaped rando that’s stumbling through the rumble is that it is indeed tenko, and that deku will somehow find him to help him and that’s how deku will get his powers back. and if he doesn’t and hori ends the series with deku being quirkless i will actually, and i mean this very sincerely, stop writing fanfic LMFAOOOO. ok im maybe like, half joking. 😒 but i have never been a fan of the quirkless deku ending and now im getting scared that’s what we’re gonna get!!!!! 😦 in one of his latest interviews, hori mentions something about wanting to strip away labels from people (characters) to see the human underneath them? soooo i guess we’ll just have to trust in him and these next two (TWO) chapters. 🥹

for all my whinging i do like bnha lmao. i whinge because i like it, and tbh i probably wouldn’t change a thing of it. 🥺 all the frustrating gaps—like those perceived consequences i keep getting worked up over the lack of—are what makes it fun to write and read fic for. 🥹 and it’s been fun watching the characters change!!! i was in a bookstore, yesterday, picking up a copy of volume 38 and the girl at the counter and i started talking about the series—the pros and cons of binging it vs keeping up weekly, the change in bakugou’s character and how reading over fics with him and his older characterisation can be kinda hard, now. how scary it was that it’s coming to an end!!! she and i have talked before—when i was buying volume 36 lmao—about whether bakugou could be canonically read as queer vs asexual, and like, idk any other series that has such a mainstream reach that you could have these outside conversations with other people in your day to day, outside of a twitter or tumblr sphere! that’s the power of my hero. and im glad to be here for the ride. and no matter how it ends, it’ll be fun, and worth it. 🥹

I was screaming crying and throwing upppp (I literally was screaming into my pillow, but it was one of those inaudible screams of that makes sense LMAO). But anyways! Chapter 14 thoughts below!

- the moment we were all waiting for 😭 the proposal scene/P+A breakup scene 😭 i think your reasoning for Azzi not wanting to get married it’s SOOOO valid. As we know, irl Azzi admires P and is so happy for her and this all in fiction in this story, but I can def see how GH! Azzi can be worried about her identity (considering how much she overthinks in this story!). And fuckkkk, the moment of realization for Paige when she realizes that Azzi doesn’t want them to be public, that killeddd me and made me think about all of the times throughout the story that Paige questioned why Azzi didn’t want to be seen and loved by her. Paige is just a lover girl man and just wants to show Azzi off to world and say that’s my girl my girl my girl 😭😭

- Azzi knowing for 3 months that she didn’t see the future that her and P planned and not telling Paige right away is diabolical tho 💀 tbf, I know Azzi was scared and couldn’t even truly process what she was feeling, but damn, a little chat earlier on could’ve gone a long way LMAO

- I can’t imagine KK and Ice’s reaction after Paige came in crying and angry and hot asf. Like I know they thought their parents were gonna get married and ride off into the sunset… little did they know 😭

- Stephie figuring P+A out before Azzi could even tell her 😭 Stephie-bean is so smart just like her mama! And then Paige being sad/worried that Stephie found out about them… Ughhhh, I’m so glad that Azzi explicitly said that she didn’t want to hide Paige and their relationship to anyone. Like I know that was important for Paige to hear and help with her insecurities!

- I remember being slightly pissed at Paige for taking all of this time to figure out if she should stay or not, considering that Azzi needed time and Paige didn’t give it to her. But I mean, in this case, 2 wrongs make a right? (The 2 wrongs being that Azzi suggested for them to end things and Paige taking 5ever to say that she’d stay. And the 1 right being that they’re happily together now LMAO)

- This chapter was absolutely spectacular Nivi!! I knew you wanted this chapter to be PERFECT and was slightly nervous about it… but you 100% ate and nailed the chapter 👏 literally GH is going to live rent free in my head for a while 😭 I’m gonna be able to quote shit from this chapter especially lmaoooo

- PS: I have to remind myself this is fiction, but it got too close to reality when Paige got drafted by the Wings irl 💀💀 but I know this is all def fiction bc no way would Azzi actually not believe she doesn’t have an identity bc she is sooooo her. Like that’s Azzi mofo Fudd. And also, no way would Paige let Azzi end things like that, and no wayyyy would Paige leave the next day and not fight for them and wake Azzi tfff up lol

- Y'all don't know how stressed I have been about finding the reasoning behind their breakup like there was genuinely a point where I was gonna leave it up to y'all to figure out. But eventually, I think Azzi's reasoning for how she felt and Paige's reasoning for how that made her feel, both ended up being pretty valid.

- Yeah so that's one of the parts I felt was a little bit OOC because I'd like to think Pazzi irl are better communicators and Azzi would not be hiding such a big feelings from Paige because she really fucked up with that part. A little communication can and would have gone a long way.

- KK and Ice who'd literally bought expensive as fuck champagne to celebrate only for Paige to burst into the apartment Azzi-less and crying while she haphazardly packed her suitcase #truechildrenofdivorce

- A lot of my writing is very go of the flow, but what Azzi was gonna say has been written in my head since I figured out what the breakup was because for them to move forward with no hesitations, her being ready to tell everyone is very important.

SO Diamond of the Day HMMMMM this episode was not was i was expecting and IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN I’D IMAGINED. HEARTBREAKINGLY DEVASTATING? YES OF COURSE. i just love how this episode is just the progression Arthur slowly coming to terms with who Merlin is and accepting him for it which is not what i thought it was going to be but boy oh boy am i glad that it is 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

part 2 is finally here and it’s time for changbin and hyunjin to take stage! i got really into writing these two so they seem a bit longer to me!! i fully intend to write a changjin fic in this universe one day so this is kinda just,, a way to explain backstory for me!

anyway here’s part 1 if anyone missed it and i hope you enjoy!!!

okay,,, I know what you’re thinking,,, and I debated it too but he just fits so well as a child of hades so im resting my case with this. So,,, yeah theres that whole pact between the big three aka zeus, Poseidon and hades,,, and hades did stick to it,,, he just happened to totally forget that one time he didn’t but as no one ever came forward to be like “hey you gave me a kid??” he just chose to forget about it and stays loved up with Persephone down in the underworld. Changbin is pretty normal for the most part,,, goes to school, gets fussed over by his mum too much and likes to make music. Except,, well changbin knows he’s not normal when he came back from school one day and as he was fumbling to find his key to his apartment he shared with his mum,,, a huge pile of gold coins just appeared at his feet as he got more agitated when he couldn’t find his key… well his mum opened the door, saw the gold and was like,, well here we go. He gets sent to camp half blood that summer and is just like,,, I really don’t understand what I’m doing here when he’s with chan and chan just sorta looks at him funny before being like “well,, come and stay with me for the time being!!” and well,, it takes a few weeks of summer camp before changbin gets claimed and when he does…. It’s an absolute nightmare to say the least. Everyone is just so CONFUSED?? Like, Hades kids shouldn’t be a thing?? Wasn’t there that whole pact between the big three ?? Anyway,, this kinda causes people to stay away from changbin,,, bc damn that’s scary the third hades kid to appear in recent history is actually terrifying,,,, let’s just Zeus and Poseidon are raging upstairs lmaoooo. Poor changbin though,,, he had so many friends before he got claimed but they all kinda just left him,, apart from his lil crew of 8,,, yeah skz they don’t leave him behind. Bc they know he’s way more than being just a kid of Hades,,, like he’s so different from the typical moody, dark traits of Hades kids,,, pink sweaters, loves all things sweet, and ADORES HUGS. Like,,, a lot,,, which is good for skz because theyre so cuddly themselves but damnnn,,, dark scary changbin likes hugs?? He’s always clinging to felix or hyunjin and everyone’s just like,,, what. This makes people open up way more to changbin. Until it’s capture the flag time and changbin gets banned from summoning skeletons bc he sicced them on jisung once and well,,, yeah it wasn’t pretty. Oh,, changbin is like the strongest Hades kid who is not only good with his powers but like,,, he loves working out ?? everyone, including hades himself, just assumes he’s gonna stay a moody, thin kid like Nico or smth but no,,, short beefy changbin appears and he absolutely DECIMATES everyone including the ares kids in combat bc he’s just so,,, beefy….

hwang hyunjin- child of Hecate

So you’re probably all thinking,,, why not an Aphrodite kid?? Well that’s boring and overdone and I just think,,, witchy hyunjin. That’s all I want. Now hyunjin was sent to camp half blood by his dad bc quite frankly,, he was kinda terrified of what hyunjin might become without proper training so he sent him off with a promise from chiron to not reveal to hyunjin who is godly parent was,,, so there hyunjin was, standing around the cabins like,,, where do I fit in. Chan, being Chan, adopts hyunjin and they’re both just in the Hermes cabin. Hyunjin is kinda just,, a bit clueless bc he’s like,,, wow “Greek gods are real and im the son of one of them omg what if im like,,, the son of Poseidon or smth that would be so cool” and chan kinda just side eyes him bc like,,, chan knows he’s different and doesn’t fit with any of the cabins they have so. Anyways,, so as hyunjin only really goes to camp during the summer, by the time new cabins were built at camp half blood he was back at mortal school and when he comes back next summer,,, well he keeps being drawn to one cabin in particular…. You guessed it, it’s the Hecate cabin. He just stands there staring at it when he arrives until chan appears behind him to explain the new cabins and lets himself being dragged back to the Hermes cabin, not without sparing another look at the Hecate cabin. Hyunjin is fairly,,, okay at being at camp, he’s not the best archer or swordsperson, he’s okay at ancient Greek langauge, he does alright in his ancient Greek history classes but like,, he doesn’t fit in anywhere. All of his friends have been claimed by their godly parent and Hyunjin’s a bit bitter that his dad is either sending him to boarding school during term time and then to camp during the summer and still won’t tell him who is mum is like ?? yeah it’s bit frustrating bc he’s one of the oldest unclaimed kids and he’s just over it okay. One day in the middle of summer,,, everything changes. Hyunjin is just minding his own business as he’s cleaning up the archery area after practice when minho thinks it’s funny to see if hyunjin will notice if he shoots an arrow towards him,,, well,,, minho does this at the same time hyunjin whips around sensing something and theres an arrow flying towards him and he panics okay he doesn’t mean to stop it in midair it just happened and minho is just like,,, open mouthed staring at him like wtf. The arrow clatters to the ground after a tense few seconds and hyunjin just runs away to the only place that makes sense and it’s the Hecate cabin. It’s not until a few hours later when the boys decide to visit him that he sees another person, too busy being scared by what just happened and yeah, well as soon as the see him there’s a purple wheel above his head and he’s been officially claimed. Little things that had no explanation now suddenly do,,, it’s been hwang hyunjin all along.. (they keep it a secret from chiron and camp for a few hours as they comfort him but you know,,, chiron realises where everyone is pretty soon and he just smiles,, he knows hyunjin’s dad has nothing to fear anymore)

summary; As said above - Roman’s scared of getting hurt again, so he tries to keep Victor at arm’s length, but Zsasz won’t let that happen and Roman realises that maybe he can trust him after all.

It's been almost two years since Victor started working for Roman full time. He's moved into the loft above the club not too long after he started working full time for him, so he could keep an eye on Roman twenty-four-seven and keep him safe. That was his job after all, besides being his personal assassin. Victor actually enjoyed it. He was able to add new tallies to his skin almost every day, sometimes even multiple scars at once. He was paid very well, had a home, and best of all, he was able to witness Roman's rapidly changing moods and outbursts of emotions first-hand day in and out. Though, he got the feeling that Roman tried to actively avoid him more and more these days. Perhaps he was sick of being in such close proximity to him for this long. That's at least one explanation for it, as Sionis really seemed to get bored and sick of people quickly, getting rid of them one day to the other sometimes or blatantly making them wish they'd never been born until they left on their own accord. Whatever he felt like doing. It was always interesting to witness to him because it was one of those few things where Roman wouldn't kill someone just because he could. He would make them suffer and let them live with the damage he's done to them. Death was a mercy after all; and apparently boring him was something that had to be punished with anything but death. Victor wasn't worried about Roman trying to hurt his feelings, not that he really had a lot of those anyway, but he was a little concerned that he had done something to upset Roman so greatly that he was planning on getting rid of him one way or another. He wasn't exactly planning on leaving him just yet. It's not been all too long, but Victor knew that he would do anything for Roman and make sure he achieved his goal. Only then would Victor give him the sweet release of death. To be able to follow through with that, though, he had to stay with Roman until the end, of course.

Then one day into then two years of working for him, they came home from the club and Victor thought he had figured it out. He was almost completely certain that he was right, too. He had noticed it, of course. The shift in their relationship. They had started fucking about three months before Roman started seemingly avoiding him. It was good. Murdering people had them hard and aching almost every time and so it wasn't a huge leap to take, as they decided to get each other off. Which in their case meant, Victor sucked Roman off and then made himself come on the other man's command. It went on for a week, where only that would happen. Then they started moving it to bed, where Victor would be allowed to actually fuck Roman in the ass. It was delightful. He had never been interested in that sort of thing before, but Sionis really managed to tickle things out of him that no one else ever could. Naturally, as they started actually having sex like that, they became closer to each other on a wholly different level, which seemed to be the thing that had Roman so upset with him and avoid him. Neither of them were ones for confrontation that included actually talking about whatever was the problem, but Victor really didn't see a different solution to the problem. Because apparently both of them didn't want to stop fucking each other, or working with one another, but Roman still wanted to keep him at arm's length. Zsasz wasn't exactly a fan of that. If he wanted to help Roman and take care of him the way he needed him to, then he also needed to be close to him. He had thought Sionis was on the same page with him, but it got increasingly clearer that maybe he wasn't. So, when they came home that night, he decided to take the matter into his own hands and actually try and talk to Roman about this; before he could decide on how to get rid of him eventually. Though, belatedly, he realised that perhaps that night hadn't been the best one for this kind of conversation, as Roman has had a bad business deal to digest. He was still upset and Victor knew that what he was going to say would only upset him more. Yet, he had this sliver of hope that it would help Roman, free him of this persistent down of this evening. "Roman?" He asked, catching the other man's attention effectively, since he rarely used his first name. "What do you want?" Roman shot back. Usually there would be venom in his voice, but that night it was so dull. Victor hated it. "I think I know why you're avoiding me," he started. "I'm not avoiding you. I'm not a child!" Could have fooled me, Victor thought. "Fine. Whatever word you wanna give it, then. You wanna know why I think you're doing it?" Roman only answered him with an impatient hand gesture that told him to move on, or else. "I believe that you’re trying not to let anyone in because you are scared of having them get too close, of getting hurt. And right now I've been getting too close, so you're trying to get me back at arm's length and keep me there. But I'm not letting you do that. I know you've noticed. I know you also don't really want to make me leave. Otherwise you would've taken care of that by now." Roman's eyes widened momentarily, then his face fell and twisted into a grimace of anger and hurt. Victor had expected as much. "What the actual fucking fuck? Listen, Zsasz, I don't fucking care what you think you fucking know about me! Because you don't know shit. Don't fucking try to psycho analyze me, you stupid fuck!" Roman was yelling at him, his face turning stark red with rage. Victor had also expected as much. It didn't really faze him. He knew Roman wouldn't hurt him. "I'm not fucking scared! I'm not!" He shouted, grabbing a pillow off the chaise longue they stood in front of and threw it on the ground forcefully. "Fuck!" Victor had to squeeze his own wrist, where he held his arms behind his back. He wanted to intervene and calm Roman down, but he also wanted him to let out his emotions. At least for so long, where he was certain that Roman wasn't about to spiral even further down and possibly hurt himself in the process in whichever way he would find. "Who do you think you fucking are, huh? Do you think fucking me gives you the privilege of talking to me like that? Are you that fucking dense that you don't get the hint that maybe I just don't fucking like you?" Okay, that stung a little, Victor had to admit. Yet, he knew Roman probably didn't mean it like that. He wasn't good at hiding his feelings. What he felt towards Victor was definitely something close to liking him at the very least. Roman started to become more and more unintelligible in his shouting, signalising Victor that he needed to intervene one of these moments. When Sionis balled his hands into fists and lifted them, he knew that was the moment. Swiftly, Victor stepped into Roman's personal space and grabbed onto his wrists firmly, but not painfully. Sionis tried to wrench his arms out the other man's tight grip, but Victor wouldn't let him. Zsasz caught Roman's eyes, holding eye contact with him and softly talked to him in a soothing tone that always managed to calm Roman down. "I didn't mean to put you on the spot or whatever, but I needed to say something about it. Roman, you're not stupid, you're really smart actually. And you noticed that something's changed between the two of us. So you started to try and get away from me. I get it. You don't wanna get hurt again. You don't wanna have someone so close that they can turn on you and really take you down. But you also know that I'd do anything for you. I'd move earth and heaven for you. I'd fucking defy death for you as often as it'd come to me, so I can stay with you. I wanna see you succeed. I wanna keep you safe. I'm not trying to hurt you or sell you out. I promise." The earnestness in his eyes and voice must have helped to make Roman believe him because he visibly calmed down, taking deep breaths, his features relaxed more and more with every exhale, his shoulders sagged, his fists unclenched. "'Kay. You're right. Happy, now? You're fucking right. With everything you've said. Fuck! I just don't want to be hurt. Not again. Not by you of all fucking people in this fucking world." That was probably as close as they'd ever get to admitting their feelings to each other. It was more than fine by Victor, he wasn't fond of this whole shit anyway. "I won't. I promise you, Roman. I promise. I won't hurt you," Zsasz stated sternly. Roman nodded jerkily, sighing. He sounded so tired. "I really need to get fucked now, or else I'll fucking explode again," Roman then said, a wry smile on his face. Zsasz grinned crookedly, "I can arrange that."

Phoenix Black

1. Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?

Phoenix is obviously from a big family, so yeah she has both her brothers and also her cousins (almost all of which are older than her). She’s closest with Regulus, as they share very similar views. Her twin is probably a little more prejudiced than Phoenix. As a child she was often the glue between Regulus and Sirius, as she’s got a positive relationship with both of her brothers.

3. What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?

Orion is a fairly distant presence emotionally. He’s an Unspeakable for the Department of Mysteries, so he works long hours and isn’t allowed to talk about his work. Although not as abusive to his kids as Walburga, he’s never intervened on their behalf. She and her father both have depression though, which is something that comes to light more later during Phoenix’s story.

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

Her wand ALWAYS, probably some treats for her cat Saturn, a bunch of hair pins and hair ties just in case her hair gets too unruly.

7. Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?

There’s a lot of death in Phoenix’s nightmares, which makes sense really because of the First Wizarding War and all.

9. Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?

I think it’s similar. Phoenix has grown up privileged and she’s never wanted for anything, her family is very wealthy. I will say that as an adult, she has more of an appreciation of hard work and having to earn things. Nonetheless she does inherit a fair bit of money, so even if she didn’t work, she’d always be comfortable.

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

Directly following Evan Rosier’s death. I can’t say too much without spoiling, but Phoenix did unknowingly have a hand in his and Wilkes’ ultimate fates. She also understands why Regulus wanted out, and knows she has to go to protect herself and baby Cass. So she’s terrified that Death Eaters will hunt her down and murder her.

13. Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?

Phoenix is completely unperturbed by blood. As she’d put it, girls see more than boys anyway.

15. Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?

I think she is despite her best efforts not to be. Much of Phoenix’s young life was dominated by the idea of status, and how flaunting your wealth was the best way to achieve that. She becomes better as an adult, especially as Remus is not very comfortable with flaunting money due to his vastly different financial upbringing.

17. What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?

I think as she’s a pure-blood it’s a bit hard to tell what toys she had, but she probably would have loved all of them.

19. What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?

I would definitely say that, when she’s younger, it’s her tendency to think too much about other people’s opinions and how things look. It definitely ruined her relationship with Remus while they were still at Hogwarts - she placed too much faith in people’s perspectives on it, and it was what led her to break up with him.

21. If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?

I think Phoenix is quite self-destructive, so I think she would often blame herself, or at least question how active a role she had in the tragedy that occurred. She’d wonder what she could do differently. However, when there’s blame to be placed on others, she would certainly put it there.

23. What does your character dislike in other people?

Phoenix is not a fan of others who go out of their way to be cruel or unkind to others for no reason. Ironic, considering she’s a Slytherin and in a very pro-Voldemort circle, but it’s part of what pushes her to want to get out.

25. How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person?

Phoenix definitely turns a blind eye to those she’s closest with, it’s a big flaw of hers. However, she can be somewhat paranoid and suspicious of others, and when she’s got an idea in her head, it’s hard to convince her otherwise.

27. How does your character normally deal with confrontation?

Phoenix isn’t a very confrontational person, but she does believe in sorting out problems rather than letting them fester. I think she would approach the conflict with the knowledge of what she wants to say, and an idea of what the outcome would be.

29. What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true?

As a kid, Phoenix really wanted to be an Auror. Unfortunately after her husband was killed by them, it crushed that for her. After that, she was a bit disillusioned with the Ministry, though she knew working for them would be a nice paycheck.

31. Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable.

With Remus and her kids. After the war, she just wants to settle down in a modest home with them and live a peaceful existence. Phoenix has a lot of trauma packed into the space of a few short years, so I think she’s done with eventful after all of that.

33. In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?

Phoenix can get very defensive, and is prone to tears when she’s called out. She doesn’t handle criticism well, and it’s something she’s well aware of and is working to change.

35. How does your character behave around people they like?

Phoenix is naturally an extrovert, and that really shines around people she likes. She’s friendly, bubbly and eager to include and be included. Phoenix is the sort of person who, when she’s at her best, you’d really want to be friends with. She does have a sunny personality when she’s in a good mood.

37. Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?

Originally it would be protecting her status, but that would definitely change later on.

39. Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)?

Lmaoooo does Remus count? ;)

41. Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?

Phoenix at first feels she deserves to have what she wants, but it’s only as she gets older that she realises she has to work for it and earn it, and she finds it feels better to her that way.

43. Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?

I wouldn’t say a ‘dependent’ but she does have an interesting relationship with Harry. She’s sort of that aunt figure to him, as both Sirius’s sister and Remus’s wife.

45. What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them?

Phoenix isn’t entirely sure that what happens after she dies, but she thinks there might be some sort of afterlife, and it comforts her a little knowing she’ll be reunited with people like her twin.

2. What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?

Cass gets along quite well with her mum. Phoenix was only young when Cass was born, so she’s a fairly young mum, and they have some similar characteristics. She’s also the only biological parent of Cass’s still alive, so I think Cass relies on her a bit for information about what her dad was like.

4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

I definitely think Cass witnesses a lot during the Second Wizarding War. This is a maybe, but I considered that Cass suspects something is up when Harry is led away with ‘Moody’, and stumbles upon him having changed into Crouch. However, the professors arrive before he can attack her.

6. Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?

I think Cass dreams about her dad a lot, what he’d be like, how he’d act toward her etc. She adores Remus, but she also wonders about her biological father for sure.

8. Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?

Nope, she has not.

10. Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?

Cass is quite body confident so I think some of the clothing she wears is a little more on the revealing side. I mean, Fred ain’t complaining.

12. In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?

I think this was during her younger half-brother, Orion Lupin’s, venture to Hogwarts. He was really stressed about where he would be sorted and what it would mean and Cass was like “lmao doesn’t matter”.

14. Does your character remember names or faces easier?

I would say faces.

16. Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?

A bit of both ideally, but if she had to choose, she would say happiness.

18. Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?

Wisdom, the little goddamn Ravenclaw.

20. In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?

Cass is a bit of an overachiever, so she’s likely to compare her grades and results to those of others. She sometimes feels that if she’s not the best, then what’s the point?

22. What does your character like in other people?

Genuineness, and the ability to make her laugh.

24. How quick is your character to trust someone else?

Not very. Cass is not a trusting person, and she keeps herself guarded.

26. How does your character behave around children?

Cass is an oldest child and her youngest brother is 14 years younger than her, so she’s pretty good with kids.

28. How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?

Cass isn’t a physically violent person, and she would only lash out if someone had done so to her first.

30. What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?

Arrogance. Something she does see a lot in other Ravenclaws. Also people thinking they’re ‘above’ others. She’s a pure-blood herself but sees no need to be a supremacist about it.

32. Describe a scenario in which your character feels most uncomfortable.

Being compared to Death Eater daddy in a negative way. She knows her dad did some awful things, and there’s no denying she’s like him in some ways, but she never wants to come across as cruel or malicious.

34. Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method?

She would move on to a different method. Cass is constantly changing her methods.

36. How does your character behave around people they dislike?

Civil, but indifferent. She will make conversation if she has to, but it won’t be anything more than small talk. She’s not outright rude but she’s not going to push it.

38. Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?

I think she would remove herself from the problem or threat. She finds taking a step back gives her more space to think.

40. How does your character treat people in service jobs?

Polite. Not quite kind, but she would always at least attempt to be friendly.

42. Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?

Remus maybe but he’s her stepdad so? Other than that, I think she has Molly Weasley, who utterly adores her.

44. How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?

She finds it hard. Cass knows that she’s a product of basically an arranged marriage, so it’s not something she throws around lately. It’s a big thing for her to say.

ok i find it extremely funny that first aid was demoted from doctor to nurse, as if that's a thing that happens EVER - I mean it'd be one thing if first aid was a nurse practitioner (which i doubt is a position that exists here), at least that demotion would make sense, but like...the doctors i work with don't know how to do most nurse stuff (like BP, cathing, vaccinations, hell even using some of the thermometers - that's all stuff nurses/etc do), so demoting one to a nurse would be a disaster (just like promoting a really good nurse to a doctor would be a bad idea). anyways i know I'm being pedantic but it Be like that when you work in the medical field and read something that has medicine-related stuff in it

and that wraps up the delphi arc! our first true ‘arc’ of mtmte, and a fantastic one at that. short and snappy and fresh, with some very clever writing and cool new characters, and a lot of great plot threads to be picked up later. plus, we got to see the beginnings of drift and ratchet’s whole thing (and ratchet and pharmas whole thing). and the lost light gets some much needed extra medical staff, so everyone wins! 

well, we’ll see how fort max feels about this all pretty soon.....

I just thought of this one night and thought it'd be hilarious 🤷🏻‍♀️ also I needed to put some crack/fluff out there after that painful JK angst I posted...

Lmaoo, same Jin honey, same.

You'd think it was World War lll the way Jin was going about killing this spider.

You'd seen one when you were in your room changing for date night and you screamed for Jin to please come kill it. He had come into your room, a confused look on his face, "what's the matter, princess?" You told him to walk in further then pointed out the spider up in the corner of the room. Jin's eyes widened and he swallowed, there was no way he was gonna get that. But when he turned around again and went to leave you asked him where he was going and he stuttered out, "uuuh, to uh, I was gonna get a...shoe...to kill it..." Jin sighed and hung his head in defeat.

Now here he was, your precious fool of a husband–armed with several different types of shoes, a broom, cleaning spray, your sunhat on his head (in case it falls on him he said), and the lid of a pot for a shield.

You were backed up almost to the door, trying your very best not to laugh your head off, as he screamed then swung at the little beast, then screamed again. It went on like this for a while; Jin preparing himself then lunging forward and smacking the spider (trying to at least) then screaming and jumping back; starting the whole process again. Finally he hit it and shouted in victory after confirming it was dead. He turned and looked at you, smiling proudly, "I did it!" You clapped and hugged him after getting all his protective gear off, "thanks honey! You did great! Now I'll finished getting dressed." He nodded and let you finish up, then took you by the waist as you left for the date, "I'm pretty cool aren't I? I saved you from that spider." You laughed and side-hugged him as you walked, "you really are Jin baby, thank you~" He kissed your head.

He'd do anything for his princess, even face off the evil spider.

MIN YOONGI:

I'd sell all my limbs to be able to make that smile appear on Yoongi's face...

Yoongi had been in the 'Genius Lab' for a few hours now and you were lonely. So you decided to join him and at least watch him work on his latest project for a bit. After knocking and hearing Yoongi say to come in, you put in the code and open the door, "hey, can I sit with you while you work?" You ask when you've stepped in and closed the door behind you. Yoongi turns in his chair and smiles when he sees you, "of course jagi, I should be done soon but you can definitely join me." You smile and make yourself comfortable on his couch and he blows a kiss at you before turning to finish up.

You decide to take a small nap; so you lie down and curl up, closing your eyes. After a little while you squint your eyes open, looking at Yoongi. That's when you see a spider on the arm of the couch. Yoongi turns around when he hears you gasp, "Y-Yoongi!" He sees you scooted all the way to the other side of the couch and he looks at you quizzically, "what's the matter Y/n?" You point at the arm of the couch where the spider is sitting, "there's a spider right there."

Yoongi gets up and walks over, looking where you're pointing, when he sees it he laughs and grabs a random newspaper that was on his desk. He rolls it up and smacks the spider. Quick and easy. You relax and sit comfortably again.

"oh, haha, thanks baby." You laugh and mess with your hands in embarrassment at how easily he got the bug. Yoongi just smiles and shrugs, "no problem love. Now, are you ready to go? I'm all finished for tonight anyway." You smile and nod, taking Yoongi's hand and climbing off the couch when he holds it out to you.

"Just so ya know, Y/n...you owe me one now for saving your life."

"What?? It was just a spider Yoongi."

"Just a spider huh?"

"Yes."

"Well the way you screamed made it seem li-"

"Ok shut up."

Yoongi just smirks evilly and holds your hand tighter, swinging it between you two. He wasn't gonna let you live it down for a long time.

JUNG HOSEOK:

I'm gonna cry this gif is so funny, I'm so sorry Hobi lmaoooo

"How is your food, Jagi?" Hobi asks around a mouthful of cheeseburger. You nod and give him a thumbs up, letting him know the noodles you're eating are indeed delicious. Hobi smiles and goes back to eating happily, sipping on his beloved Sprite every now and then. The two of you decided to go out to lunch today, seeing as the weather was nice and sunny. You sit at a little outside table with an umbrella stuck in the middle of it; shielding you from the sun, talking about random things and just enjoying the food and each other's company.

You didn't think this day could get any better; hanging out with your favorite boy, eating yummy food and laughing till your sides hurt when he makes a funny joke and his contagious laughter rings out.

Hobi was in the middle of explaining how confusing the new dance routine was and how he was having a hard time helping the members out with it, when you see movement down by his elbow that is currently resting on the table. Your eyes flick down to it and then widen when you see it's a spider. Spiders are one of your biggest fears. Hobi looks at you curiously, then snaps in front of your face, "hey, Y/n, are you okay?" You point at his elbow and before you can even utter the whole sentence 'there's a spider' Hobi is screaming and jumping off his seat, smacking his knee hard on the table.

"Hobi! Are you okay?" You jump up as well and reach over to him, not even letting the spider be your priority right now. Hobi just jumps away from the table again, "i-it was a spider right??" You let out a squeak yourself and run behind him, "yes, it was right by your elbow." Hoseok makes a noise that sounds half like a groan and half like a scream, then he shivers.

"What do we do Hobi? It's still on the table and we haven't finished yet."

"I...uh..." You look up at your boyfriend's face and seeing that he really doesn't wanna do it- you swallow your fear and stand up straighter. You grab your shoe off your foot and walk forward to smack the little demon once and for all. That nasty thing wasn't about to ruin your date, phobia or not. Except you feel a hand on your arm and turn to see Hobi has stopped you.

"What's the matter Hobi?"

"Y/n, aren't you like, deathly afraid of spiders?"

You bite your lip, you didn't care as long as Hobi didn't have to do it. That's when he takes the shoe out of your hand and hurries forward, smacking the spider and trying not to hit the food, screaming when it falls on the ground and smacking it again and again while shouting the whole time.

That was your sweet brave boy Hobi, always looking out for you.

KIM NAMJOON:

Lol, why is shook Joonie so dang cute?

Namjoon was trying his best to keep the ingredients in the bowl as he stirred. It was a fairly simple task, but knowing Namjoon you were prepared to have a lot to clean up. Except, he was so excited and really wanted to help out with the brownies you were making, so you decided it really didn't matter how messy it got- as long as Joonie was having a good time.

Yes, he was having a lot of fun to be honest, you had made it through the measuring and pouring of everything and just a little cleanup had been necessary so far, thankfully. It wasn't until the mixing that things went downhill...No, it wasn't Joon's fault at all actually; it was the spider that decided he wanted to join in the fun that tipped things off.

Namjoon was super concentrated on mixing, and you were putting the ingredients you used back into the pantry and refrigerator. That's when you saw the spider on the floor; running like it's stupid little life depended on it, which, technically it did. You screamed and slammed the fridge shut, jumping as far as you could from the ugly little thing. Namjoon started and turned to see what the problem was, brownie batter spoon still in hand. When he saw it running across the floor he let out a shout of his own and tripped over his feet to get away. A little flour flew out of the bowl but neither of you cared-even some of the mixed batter splat on the ground, but again your attention was elsewhere.

"Joon! Kill it! Get it before it hides somewhere!"

"What?? Why me??" Namjoon looks at you in shock, still holding the mixing spoon covered in chocolate batter.

"Because you're the man! That's why!"

"B-but...but..." Namjoon stutters and looks back at the spider that is crawling up a wall now. He sets the bowl and spoon down and pulls his left shoe off; you won that argument so now he was gonna have to kill that thing.

Namjoon takes one last dramatic look at you, both your eyes big as saucers and mouths slightly open. Then he let's out a shout as he charges for the spider, all or nothing.

It's a good thing he's so tall, because the spider had made it a little ways up the wall, but it was no match for an aggressive and determined Namjoon.

He smacked it with such a force that you jumped from the sound.

His shoulders are heaving when he turns and looks at you with a serious glint in his eyes.

"Alrighty then Y/n....where were we?" Then he throws his shoe over by the door and marches back to the bowl, grabbing the spoon and stirring again, one lonely shoe on his right foot.

You can't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing.

PARK JIMIN:

"Hmmm, can you turn a little to the left baby?" You shift slightly to the left at your boyfriend's request and see him smile and give a thumbs up before disappearing behind his phone again.

The two of you were doing an aesthetic photoshoot. It was Jimin's idea and today was your turn to be the model; you two had decided that green was the color for today's shoot. At the moment you were lying back against a tree trunk as Jimin took the pictures with his phone. You blush as he keeps shouting praises at you, "lookin good baby! oh my gosh you're so cute! Beautiful girl! Yes, just like that!" After another few minutes Jimin asks you to lay in the grass so he can try a few different scenes.

You immediately comply; straightening out your outfit before situating yourself in the grass and lying down. Jimin walks over and smiles at you, then bends down and puts your hair over to one side, takes a few pictures, then moves your hair around your face and smiles down at you again. You giggle at him and try to pose while he snaps a few more shots. Jimin keeps chuckling too, "you're so cute baby, these pictures are gonna be so good. I can't wait t-" your brows furrow when your boyfriend cuts off in the middle of his sentence, his eyes locked to the right of your head.

"Jimin?"

"Uh.."

"Jimin what is it?" You start to panic and he puts his hand out, "don't move Y/n... I'll get it." Your eyes widen and it takes all your strength not to scream and jump up, but you choose to trust him and shut your eyes tightly.

The second you feel Jimin swat at your hair splayed on the ground you can't help yourself, so you jump up and squeal.

"IS IT OFF? IS IT OFF??"

Jimin starts laughing and doubling over, he can barely breathe he's cracking up so hard. You glare at him as you shake your hair and swat at your arms.

"What was it? Stop laughing!" When he finally catches his breath he gasps out, "it was just a little spider but the look on your face when I told you not to move was-was priceless!!" You shudder and move to smack him but he dodges you, "I hate spiders!" He just stifles his giggles and tries to put on a straight face.

"It's a good thing I got it then."

"Well, I'm done with nature for now. I'm hungry." You pout and he pinches your cheeks, cooing at you. "Ok baby, let's go get lunch." He takes your hand as you two walk out of the park.

"Jimin?"

"Hm?"

"Thank you for getting the spider off me..." you mumble quietly. He looks at you and smiles, "awe, it wasn't a problem at all Jagi."

KIM TAEHYUNG:

You and Tae were lying on the couch scrolling through your phones. It was a lazy day and neither of you felt like doing much of anything. Your legs were draped over his and every once in a while he would bounce his legs to see your thighs jiggle a little, teasing you because he thought it was cute and it could always make you blush.

As he started to bounce his legs again you slap at him, missing him by a long shot because your arms couldn't reach him in that position, "Tae! Stop that!" He just giggles and hums at you, still bouncing your legs. You roll your eyes and look back at your phone, scrolling through Instagram. Suddenly a small black movement on your chest catches your eye, you look down and see a spider running across you. Screaming at the top of your lungs, you launch yourself off the couch and off of a very startled Taehyung–slapping your chest to get it off and swinging around wildly–still screeching. Eventually you yank your shirt off–thankfully you had on a tank top underneath, but you were about to tear that off too when Tae stops you, "Jagi! Calm down, stop stripping!! What is it??"

Your breathing is erratic and short and you gulp before pointing at the shirt on the ground that you ripped off, "there was a gigantic spider on my shirt Tae!! It just, it just ran across me with those spindly hairy legs!!!" You are about to cry and Tae jumps up to hug you–trying his best not to laugh, "it's okay love, I'll find it and get rid of it, ok?" You nod and whimper before he tells you to go back a few feet so he can find it.

After you're a safe distance away, Tae takes your discarded shirt and shakes it a little–causing another scream to leave your mouth when the little black spider falls to the carpet and starts running. It really wasn't very big at all but you hated spiders so much it seemed huge to you. The spider stops and sits there for a minute so Tae tells you to watch it and quickly grabs a glass from the kitchen and a piece of paper. When Tae walks closer to it, it starts to run again, "TAEEE!!! AHHHH!!!" You jump up and down and wring your hands, but Tae is still super calm– he even talks to the spider, "nope, no ya don't little buddy, come here." Tae drops the glass over it and once it's trapped he slides the paper under the glass, picking up the glass, spider and all. Then he walks it outside and further away from your door before letting it go. Tae comes back in and you're sitting on the couch, "thanks baby, but I'm still scared, I don't wanna sit here anymore."

He chuckles and sits next to you, pulling you into his lap, "don't worry Jagi, I'll protect you from all those bad spiders, ok?" You smile at him and snuggle up to his chest.

JEON JUNGKOOK:

oh huhuhuhuuuuuuu the cheeks! Someone hold me, I'm crying again.

"JUNGKOOOOOOK!!!!"

Jungkook jumped up and ran as fast as he could to your bedroom when he heard you shrieking. You had only been gone for a few minutes, saying you had to go to the restroom. He opened the door and didn't see you, "Y/n? Where are you?" Jungkook walked in further and then heard your voice coming from the open bathroom door in your room, "I'm in here Kookie, hurry up please." He walked over and looked in the bathroom to see you standing on the toilet, your eyes were huge and you were shaking, "What's the matter?" He stepped into the bathroom but froze when you screamed again, "ahh! Stop! Don't move Kook you'll scare it and it'll run again!" Jungkook looked around without taking another step. Then he looked back at you utterly confused, "what is it? You have to tell me what it is, I can't see anything." Your eyes were glued to a spot on the floor by the tub as you shakily pointed at where you were looking, "r-right there, it's a huge spider, oh gosh please kill it Kookie." Jungkook followed the line of your arm to see a black spider on the floor. oh frick, that was pretty big.

But he couldn't let you know it freaked him out too, he would just have to kill it for you. "Ok, uh, do you have something I can kill it with? Like, like a shoe or something?" You nodded and motioned for him to take your hand, so he took it and helped you jump off the toilet and over to where he was standing. You scurried out of the bathroom while Jungkook kept an eye on the spider. A second later you came back with a tennis shoe and a bottle of hairspray. Jungkook took the shoe and pointed at the hairspray,

"What's that for?"

"If you get too scared you can spray it and it'll slow it down.."

"Oh...ok."

Jungkook swallowed hard and moved slowly to the tub, you following close behind, bumping into his back. Suddenly he stops, "Baby..." You freeze as well–your heart thumping in your chest, "w-what?" He turns and looks at you, "maybe you should just stay back by the door." You nod and hurry back to safety, "good idea, thanks." He nods back and tries not to smile. After a lot of smacking and screaming and running (not just from you if we're being honest), and yes some hairspray was used, the spider is finally dead.

You breathe a sigh of relief as Jungkook flushes it down the toilet, then walks back over to you and you wrap your arms around his middle, hugging him tightly, "thank you Jungkookie, you're the bestest most bravest boyfriend ever." He chuckles and kisses the top of your head as a mischievous bunny smile spreads on his face, "well, at least you were able to pee in the toilet and not your pants before you saw the spider, right?" You pull back and smack him then walk out to the living room. He laughs at you as you mutter, "never mind, I hate you."

"No you don't, you love me."

Well....whatever.

HA! Okay well, I’ll talk about the sections that I actually wrote so here it comes:

Chap 1

Engulfed in the never ending masses of water, he reckoned one should feel intimidated. No ground under his feet, only limited amounts of air to his disposal, and the uncertainty of what lies within the darker corners of the ocean should normally frighten you. And yet, he never felt more at peace than when he was floating so freely in the sea, almost as if gravity and the world outside didn’t exist

the fucking IRONY of me writing this while being deadly afraid of deep water. its honestly like “yeah,,,,, lemme list all the things i personally hate about deep sea…. and lets add ‘well, but theres something good too about that for sure,,,i guess,,,, ”

But what was more important for me was this contrast to what Ermal dreams about, his lowkey fantasy - and where he is irl, the icy south pole. I’m rather fond of opposing things/contrasts. 

The soldier breathed heavily in and out, but there was no time to rest as the next blaze of fire was aimed at him.He countered and evaded but his opponent was more forceful, his flames harsher, faster until the soldier’s back hit the cold railing. He was caught, and when his opponent mercilessly stroke once more, he knew he had to save himself by escaping into the cold water.The man remaining on the top deck smirked. Ah yes, he’d almost assume those new soldiers were just too easy to take on even if only for practice reasons, but it pleased him more to say that he still got it.

i really hope this introduction just tells you everything you need to know about Renga’s character.

How much sooner the war could have been won had it not been for the Poles!

While actually reflecting on the universe, i realised, it must be incredibly difficult for firebenders on the poles. like, I just assume they really, really arent fit for the cold which would make invading incredibly difficult for them. also lol, renga hates it at the poles obviously.

  Shaking so hard that kids ran towards their mothers and the watchtower fell over and when the fog cleared up, Ermal felt his stomach drop. ”No.”

Nothing, absolutely, nothing in that universe is more frightening than seeing the Fire Nation military pull up to your doorstep.  

Also, lmao, love to imagine Rinald quietly going “oh nooo my watchtower D:” 

Ermal pushed himself through the crowd until he was right in front of everyone, until he was the last barrier between the Fire Nation soldiers and the village.

Ermal has Strong Opinions™ about the Fire Nation, with reasons of course, and seeing them here is the absolute nightmare to him.

  “You mean the Avatar that disappeared off the face of the Earth? The one that nobody has ever seen and that was probably never even reborn? That Avatar?”And if his cockiness gave off a certain invitation to smash his face in, then this was perhaps a little bit Ermal’s fault.

“B-but he’s- he’s so young? I swear to the Fire Lord, if this is yet another trick then-”

Chap 2

Niccolò had always been in awe of the Fire Nation’s advanced industrial sector. The machinery that originated from the Nation had always had cutting edge quality which no one in the world could quite imitate nor match. This ship however was beyond anything Niccolò had ever seen. This ship was fully steam-driven with the powerful motors roaring under his feet. And those weren’t the only novelties.Steel processed so professionally that it makes impenetrable walls and doors which opened and closed only through quite sophisticated lock mechanisms. It all looked so modern, it all looked so futuristic.

so the idea was, since Nic had missed an entire century, the ship looked super modern to him. while its a canon fact that the FN is quite advanced with machinery, the ship itself is just to an up-to-date standard. But to Niccolo personally it seemed futuristic.  i like the idea of him being amazed at things he has never seen in his life just to find out they’re pretty common in the current timeline. 

There was not much time left, Niccolò had to think quickly. Extremely convenient how his nose started tickling right in that moment.The powerful sneeze that followed had two consequences: One, the guard in front of him was catapulted straight into the metal door of the cell, rendering him unconscious.Two, Niccolò and the guard behind him were also forcefully pushed back to the other end of the corridor, crashing into the hard wall.Well, at least the guard did. The young airbender was spared that fate, by that nice pillow the guard turned out to be, so he quickly got onto his feet and ran as fast as he could with his hands tied behind his back.

Now that his hands were freed, he opened the first door that presented itself to him, but in front of him, he simply saw the quarters of General Renga who stared at his now roaming prisoner in shock. Okay, time to turn around, it seems.

listen, i just love the thought of overconfident General Renga being so shellshocked to see his prisoner escaping that he just gapes at him. And ofc Nic slamming the door shut immediately jsfkld

“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” Niccolò cursed as he evaded a burst of fire that was aimed at him before taking the next corner “Where’s the exit?! Where’s the goddamn exi- AH!! A DOOR!!” He pulled it open to reveal a startled guy sitting there just minding his own business. An unexpected sight, with an even more unexpected odor following. “Oh? uhm- Sorry man! Just- just take your time! Also, perhaps light a candle when you’re done. Bye!” The young Avatar swiftly apologised as he closed the door of what was most definitely not an exit.

Fav OC so far!  That simple FN dude was just trying to take a dump in peace but who would have known that all hell would break lose and the goddamn Avatar of all people would walk into him smh.  Also, I really enjoyed the thought of while this is all hectic and dangerous, Nic still being human enough to go like “oh, my bad! sorry dude!” at this random soldier. Who knows, maybe we should bring that one back some time later. And i kinda wanted the whole escape to be funny, since its Nic’s POV, and it just wouldnt suit his carefree spirit to make this super serious (yet). 

“I’ll give you that, hiding for so long was sort of impressive.” Niccolò heard Renga’s voice behind him as the General had caught up with him. 

almost wrote “century” there but then remembered  nah omg he can’t know yet 

A piece of ice may or may not have also hit Renga straight into the face but nobody would complain about that anyway. 

yeah i just love the thought of this super dramatic scene of Nic entering the Avatar State and then theres a chunk of ice knocking Renga unconscious lmao get fucked, dude 

“Nic!” Ermal ran towards the slowly decreasing water pillar to catch the unconscious airbender in the last second, dropping to his knees in the process. That was beyond anything anybody of that age should normally be capable of. That was beyond what any waterbender could ever be capable of. And yet, lying in his arms, Niccolò looked so exhausted, so weak. Just like any other kid. Not a trace from the sheer force that was unleashed moments earlier.

I think this was really the moment Ermal started feeling real responsibility over Niccolo. Just seeing him do all these crazy things and yet being reminded that this huge burden of being the Avatar is literally thrusted upon a simple kid.  Also, this is the first time he called him “Nic”

Various noises and sounds buzzed through the air that afternoon: The loud shoveling of snow from the bow, the quieter crackling emerging from the hands of the firebenders who were melting their frozen compatriots, the fast steps rushing left and right over the ship. All these different sounds were heard, but none of them were chattering. Nobody dared to chat. Not after this disastrous defeat. What a disgrace that had been, General Renga thought grinding his teeth.

Everybody on this goddman ship is just scared shitless that Renga will roast them if they so much like whisper. they know he moody, they know he’ll blame them for the avatar’s escape. so lets all just work and repair shit and keep quite. 

When he found consciousness again, he was left with not only one horrendous purple bruise on his face, but also with a half destroyed ship. 

jdsfksajfklf OK SO YEAH, my first intention was “lmao let a piece of ice hit him” but then i realised “oh wait he’d have a bruise afterwards”  and then “LMAOOOO he’d be like Zuko, how perfect is that”   ok so granted, unlike our dear fire prince, Renga’s bruise is only temporary, but i really hoped someone would pick up the connection to Zuko

Whatever had happened to the Avatar earlier, it left a colossal mark on the ship, and secretly, on Renga personally too. He might have gotten fooled once, but he wouldn’t get fooled again.

basically, he feels personally insulted about being beaten by a kid. what a loser lmao

“Martino!”

“Y-yes, General?” stuttered the lanky assistant with the askew glasses, clenching his hands around his writing board. One would think you’d get used to Renga’s harsh tone over time, but that was simply not the case..

rip martino but renga absolutely needed a poor anxious assistant whom he could terrorise

“We need the best of the best to defeat him. And I just know the right choice for that job…”
